Sorry for not updating my stories, it's been really busy and I lost motivation for continuing them.

Another Chapter

When they stepped out of the office, Rowan's Draugar turned and looked at Veronica, knowing that she was now part of the team. Rowan expected a bit of hostility, since they had been Vikings (you might as well say), demons and now her friends, but they pleased her when they welcomed Veronica.

Everyone seemed pretty accepting, Gadreel just happy like always, but it was Crowley's expression that had Rowan curious, other than the impatient souls waiting to be guided to their final destination. Rowan ignored them and walked over to Crowley, finding him with a little grin on his face.

"I owe you a vacation." She said and his grin vanished, only to reappear in his dark eyes as he gave her this sexy scrunched up expression that seemed to say No need, Chickadee. Rowan stood close and slipped her hand into his, giving him a seductive smile. "That was the best time I ever had." She concluded and watched as his dark eyes glistened with seduction.

"And this dark fellow, is someone you must know." Bjarni said to Veronica, approaching Rowan and Crowley. She was speaking a little louder, as if to warn them that they would be interrupted. They turned and Rowan smiled, placing her free hand on Crowley's chest.

"Veronica, this is the King of Hell, my partner in the Underworld." She said and Veronica bowed her head to Crowley. Everyone seemed somewhat puzzled, as no one had ever done that before, but it obviously pleased Crowley. "I trust that Bjarni has volunteered to train you." Rowan added and Veronica looked up, hooking her arm through Bjarni's like they had become fast friends. Bjarni, on the other hand, seemed a little unsettled, as if to say that she didn't so much volunteer as she was asked by the one on her arm.

"Agman too." Veronica said, referring to Agmundr. Must be a nickname she gave him.

"That's good." Rowan said and glanced over at Agmundr who, no doubt, thought of Veronica as pretty, since he couldn't take his eyes off of her. "You'll be able to escort the souls to Helheim." She added and watched as they walked away. She turned to Crowley with a smile on her face. "Shall we exchange those two souls?" she asked and he grinned at her.

Rowan turned to the crowd of souls that hadn't yet been sorted, and spotted Roger Finnegan. She called him out as Crowley stepped down Hell's channel to summon some demons to bring out John Winchester.

"Yes?" he asked as he came up to Rowan. He was a middle-aged guy, looking like he died with money; only now that was completely useless to him.

"Come with me." she replied and they walked towards Hell's escalator, only he didn't know where they were going.

"Why did I get singled out?" he asked and as she looked at him, he seemed to know what was going on. The hex bags all over his hotel room caused him to die a slow and agonizing death. As he was dying, he had a suspicion that that crossroad demon was holding a grudge against him for getting Sam and Dean to help him.

"I had a proposition I couldn't pass up." She replied and he nodded with a mixture of hope and fear in his eyes. "I love hearing stories about the lives that the souls lived. Tell me yours, Roger." She added, only to distract him from noticing the images on the walls going down the escalator.

"Well, I won big in Vegas." He began, which was a big fat lie. "I paid off my debts and had so much that I was able to buy the best things in life." He added and Rowan couldn't bother to hear the rest. What good was it to buy fast cars and jewelry to attract super models when, in the end, you lose it all in death?

They made it at the bottom and walked a few steps into the gothic looking corridor where Crowley waited for them. Ahead, a couple of demons were approaching with John Winchester looking like he had spent a few nights in a barn.

When Roger saw Crowley, he stiffened, but Rowan's firm grip on his arm sent a cold chill through him that seemed to freeze him into place.

"What's going on?" John asked as he looked from Crowley to Rowan. The demons soon released their grip on him and came for Roger, who began protesting, confirming his suspicions. He turned to Rowan and looked like he was about to cry, but he had anger in his eyes.

"You bitch." He said and she raised both eyebrows at him.

"Pardon me?" she asked and Crowley narrowed his eyes.

"Torture him." he said in that raspy grave voice. The demons smiled down at Roger and they watched as he tried to dig his heels into the stone floor. Rowan turned to Crowley with a smile.

"I'll get working. You?" she asked and stared into his eyes as he gave her a slight grin.

"Building." He replied and gave her a soft kiss, short and sweet, and turned away. Rowan felt bad that he was building their house all on his own, but that's what he promised to do. She knew he wouldn't accept help, most of all from her, and because she knew, she said nothing. However, she worried that he'd drain himself again.

Most importantly, she worried that the demons would raise Hell and revolt against their King and the whole idea that they're a part of the Underworld, if they even knew at all. However, she knew that Crowley wouldn't tell her if any of this was happening, wouldn't tell her if he needed her help.

She turned to John with a smile and gestured toward the escalator that was still, allowing them to walk up.

"Please follow me, John." She said and he stared at her, unsure.

"What's going on?" he asked, apparently not following her until he got an explanation. Rowan was able to see that his sons were quite like him, Dean mostly.

"That soul took your place. You, John, are coming with me to spend eternity in Helheim. It's a long story and I don't expect to tell it here." She replied and began towards the escalator, smiling as he followed. "I am Rowan, formerly known as Hel, Goddess and Ruler of Helheim. Not too long ago, Heaven relinquished all the souls to me, as Helheim and Hell are now the Underworld." She said and he remained silent, not bothering to ask any questions, except one that surprised her a little.

"Why is he taking my place?" he asked as they reached the entrance of the Underworld, her Draugar and Gadreel sorting out the souls. Rowan had her iPad in her hand. Crowley was right; that thing did return to her. She didn't even remember having it with her after getting back from Prague.

She quickly opened the app and began approving the suggested levels in which the souls would be placed, deleting Veronica from the database as she was now a part of Rowan's Draugar.

The souls were then escorted to Helheim, giving her and John the entire entrance to themselves.

"That soul got out of his deal with Hell." Rowan said, turning to John with a serious expression. "In order to get you out, Hell wanted him, since he cheated. And I don't believe backing out on a deal." She replied and she could see that John wasn't sure whether to think she had given him a second chance or as a heartless bitch. It didn't matter.

"But I made a deal, years ago, with Azazel, for my son." he said and Rowan tried not to flinch at the mention of the demon that had once been her draugr, Magni. To think that he became loyal to Lucifer and got John's soul in a deal made her angry. However, now things were finally getting straightened out.

"You honored your deal, John; Roger did not." She replied and started toward the escalator down to Helheim. Surely the souls had gone down to their levels by now. As she began the descend, the elevator lobby was empty.

"I'm supposed to be in Hell. I got out, to help my son kill Azazel, and I got sucked back in. Even if he's dead, my soul still belongs to Hell. So, what's going on?" he asked from behind her, all the way up to the elevator which Rowan was waiting for. It seemed he didn't believe that he deserved anything good.

"Mary's waiting for you." She said and then casually looked over at him. He was stunned into silence and she couldn't resist a soft smile on her lips. "I don't think she knows you're dead, but I think she'll be happy to see you." She added and he knitted his eyebrows, not seeing how she knew or cared about them, much like Mary. "I know your sons, John. They're my friends." She concluded just as the elevator doors opened. She stepped in and John remained silent until they reached the first level of Helheim.

When they stepped off, she gestured him to the left, where Gadreel stood by, looking at his iPad, and where the floor shifted and before him was Mary's glowing archway.

"Helheim allows you to live on with your loved ones. Anything you want, it's yours. I guarantee happiness and the promise that your sons will be safe." She concluded and smiled as he seemed to hesitate.

"Just like that?" he asked and she nodded.

"You deserve a good afterlife. My policy is what you put out in life, returns to you in death." Rowan replied and watched as he eyed Mary's archway, as if he was beginning to believe her. "You saved many lives and your sons continue in your footsteps, doing so much good in the world. I, personally, want to reward the Winchester family and their friends for sacrificing their lives for others." She concluded, glancing at Gadreel with a smile. His wonderful eyes met hers and he returned the smile. "If you'd like to see those friends, Gadreel here could help." She added and John glanced at him, and then back at Mary's archway.

After a moment of hesitance, he walked into the glowing archway, disappearing. Rowan wanted so badly to see John and Mary reunite or have Sam and Dean see that their parents were together in Helheim, living happily. After all those years apart, they were finally back together and it made her so happy that she made it possible.

But, one day, Sam and Dean would join them after long years of saving the world.

Once she was done, she decided it was time to move onto another project. She gave Gadreel a little wave and headed back upstairs.

A while ago, for what seemed like months ago, she had a dream about her family. She talked about it to Crowley, only to be told that she couldn't bring her parents back, especially her father. Once an angel or a demon dies, it's like they never existed. So, that left her with her brother, Jormungand. She was positive she could get him back and then it came up in their conversation.

Purgatory.

Crowley didn't find it a good idea to go there, saying it was worst than Hell with monsters. He suggested that she go speak to Dean and she knew he meant for that to discourage her from opening Purgatory in order to find her bother.

And it had because she was so busy with opening Heaven, sorting out the souls and vacationing with her lover, the King of Hell. However, now was a good time to do just as Crowley had suggested.

Talk to Dean.

With Crowley in Hell, working on their house and with her Helheim team working on escorting the souls and training Veronica, Rowan vanished from the Underworld, going to the location where she could find the Winchesters. The odd thing was that she could sense her brother was with them.

Well, at least all three were in one place, making it easier for her; she needed to talk to all of them anyway. Rowan would have appreciated the chance to discuss it with her brother first, but she was afraid that he might not like the idea.

Either way, he was in for a shocker.
