I DON'T OWN ED EDD N EDDY EXPECT FOR MY OWN CHARACTERS.
A/N: Thank you all for you the favs and reviews. I'd usually have a longer author's note but I'm not feeling too well to be thinking anything else.
And no Kevin is the one with green eyes and Simon is the one with blue eyes. A question that I've not answered yet lol srry for the late reply on that.
Edd has pale blue, Eddy has light brown.
Chapter 8:
Kevin sighed slightly knowing full well that spending more time at the cafe is a waste of time but the comfort that both he and his mate had him slightly relaxed. He nuzzled his nose against the side of his mate's neck, breathing in the scent of his mate's scent. "Ready to leave?" He spoke deeply. He frowned slightly as his thoughts began a whirlwind in circles, his knowledge of what's going on lead to more questions and those questions lead to more questions and those questions lead to assumptions and that lead to fears that he wasn't ready to admit yet. Not ready, if at all, to face. He gritted his teeth slightly, his fangs intentionally biting inside his lower lip. Feeling lost was something Kevin hated the more, well after the thought of someone trying to lay their hands on his mate, then anything.
Edd nodded his head slightly, pushing his body against his mates, feeling his slight anxiety, "Y-yes . . . . are y-you?" He turned his slightly to look up at his mate, concern all over his face, he reached up to touch at Kevin's cheek, rubbing his thumb against his cheek.
Kevin sighed softly, "It seems that people around us know more about this," He gestured between the two of them, "Then we do." His frowned deepened, "What if the answers that I'm . . . . we're seeking isn't what we want to hear? What if not knowing is better than knowing?" He turned his head slightly, "I think . . . . I'm afraid . . . . fuck . . .. I'm afraid." He shuddered slightly, pressing his lips against the pad of his mates thumb, closing his eyes to keep anymore negative emotion from slipping out.
Edd's stared at his mate, not knowing what to do in his moment, seeing that he was afraid also. Afraid that whatever this was, was gonna consume them both and turn them into nothing. He pulled Kevin's face towards his and lightly tapped his forehead against his. Closing his eyes with him as he spoke what he honestly felt, "W-whatever happens . . . . j-just know I-I-I love you." He whispered out.
Kevin's eyelids twitched, frowning slightly as he grabbed onto his mates forearms, knowing why he spoke those words, "Don't say that . . . Don't make it seem likes theres gonna be an end to us." He shook his head against his mate's forehead, "There won't be an end, I'll fucking make sure of that."
Edd chuckled softly, opening his eyes slowly, tears falling from his blue eyes and trailing down his cheek, "T-then it's a-a-a promise."
Kevin opened his eyes, leaning forward to lick at his mates tears, purring softly to soothe his mates emotion, "I didn't mean to make you cry, my love." He smiled softly, "Just . . . keep smiling." He rubbed his fingers along his mates forearms before he pulled back, using one hand to wipe away anymore tears, "Lets go, love, I think it's time to meet . . . ." He blushed slightly, looking away from his mates face.
Edd laughed softly out loud, "Y-you forgot h-h-his name?" Leaning more into his mates touch, "S-Simon."
Kevin took in the sound of his mates laughter and chuckled along with him before he pulled away, getting up from their table, handing a hand towards Edd to help him up. He could careless about the stares and whispers as he intertwined his fingers with his mate, purring slightly at how their fingers fitted together perfectly.
Edd appreciated the help from his mate, leaning up to nuzzle his nose along the side of his jaw. "Thank y-you." Letting his mate lead them outside, towards the car.
Kevin was the first to walk out of the cafe, smiling at his mate
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
Simon rolled his neck slightly, feeling tension build up towards his neck as he pulled his gloves on, deep in thought. Trying not to let his uneasiness show on his face as every though turned into a scenario that ended up with either blood on his brother's hands or his.
Eddy looked over towards his mate, tilting his head to the side as he watched him, clearly expressionless as usual about things that didn't concern him himself, "You look like you're going into battle. You seriously need to chill out for a moment and breathe." He laughed slightly as he pointed towards his gloves. "Gloves? Really? And black ones?" He places his fingers in front of his lips as he tried to keep his laugher under control. "Like some kinda mafia boss who's about to settle shit himself."
Simon stared at him with a blank expression, "Laugh all you want. But you know how I feel about touching anything but you."
Eddy suddenly stopped laughing and blushed softly, "I hate it when you say shit like that with that kind of face." He turned his head and continued to get dressed.
Simon moved towards his mate, pressing his chest against his back, "But you love it though." He nipped at the base of his neck, "That I'll touching you and only you."
Eddy shuddered softly, pushing his back against his mate's chest, "You're doing that thing again." He turned his head to give a weak glare, "Back up and take your sexiness somewhere else."
Simon chuckled slightly before he moved to grab his trench coat, "I should be saying that to you. Tempting me here and there, expecting me to keep my hands to myself . . . nah these hands have a mind of their own and we both agree that there's no holding back when it comes to you."
Eddy blushed harshly his freckles showing up more on his flushed face, "Stop talking."
Simon stared at Eddy for a moment before he moved closer towards his mate, leaning down to press a soft kiss against his shoulder, nuzzling his nose against the place he kissed, "You're my everything." He closed his eyes, breathing in the scent of his mate, "As much as I want to make you stay here, out of harm's way-"
"You're not leaving me here alone! Making me wonder if you'll ever come back!" He turned harshly, gripping his mate's arms, "You're not leaving me!" His eyes were widened as he stared up at his mate's eyes, his discomfort showing through his expression.
Simon shook his head, leaning his head down, "You belong with me." He reached up to lightly place his fingertips against the side of his jaw as he placed soft kisses against his lips, "Just wanted to show that I always want to keep you safe, but the only safe place is right by my side." He sighed softly against his lips, looking at Eddy's light brown eyes, staring deep within them, "I will not make the same mistakes against my love." He nipped at his bottom lip playfully, "No one will take you away, not even fate."
Eddy could feel that he seriously meant those words and couldn't help feeling relaxed, his tense shoulders loosened as he leaned into his mates soft kisses. Gasping softly as he was nipped and chuckled lightly, "You'd fight fate for me? You do realize that's impossible right?"
Simon raised an eyebrow, "I'd fight anything for you." He looked serious as he pulled away slightly, turning back to continuing packing a few things that they might need, "If there's a will then there's a way. I'd fucking destroy anything that gets in our way." His voice carried out a sort of coldness that chilled the room dramatically, "I'll make it known Eddy, that anything in our way will not withstand the degree I will take to protect you and keep us together."
Eddy shivered slightly, feeling the cold rage radiating from his mate. Knowing full well that his mate's anger wasn't directed towards him but still it frightened him to that he felt satisfaction at the fact that they felt the same way. That Simon would do anything, even fight a whole army of whatever to get to him and he would do the same. He saw it first hand when they first met, the same tender hand that caressed him, made him feel the most pleasureable feeling that no one else had the courage to do, turn deadly. He smiled at the memory of being bruised and hurt, watching Simon protect him the only way he knew how, get rid of the threat. "I know." He leaned his forehead against the back of Simon's shoulder, "Me too."
Simon smiled slightly before he turned his head, the room getting a bit warmer as his cold rage as reined in, "Ready to go?" He placed a kiss on his temple, "I'm sure Kevin's temper would be a bit unstable if we keep them waiting any longer." He sighed out as if he could careless.
Eddy laughed a bit, "That's messed up Simon. He's your brother and you have this look like this is all a burden to you." He poked at his mate's cheek, "So tell me about him, so you know, I know step on any landmines or anything."
Simon rolled his eyes slightly, "He's the complete opposite of me. Like a shoot first and ask questions later-"
Eddy laughed out loud, shaking his head at his mate's comment, "No, love, that's you. Not even a hint of anything and Wham! You go all ninja on people."
Simon smiled softly at his mate, his laugh infectious, "He's a forgetful, righteous person who used to be all about the right way of doing things. He used to love talking about 'humans' like they were his child or something. I guess he was the nice one out of the both of us." He sighed slightly, "But when things concern his mate, then we're both the same. So . . . try to not spook his mate Eddy. I understand you're a friendly one, but . . ."
Eddy nodded slightly, "Sounds like you were close to your brother." He watched his mate's expression, "Like you cared about him."
Simon stayed quiet for a moment, most likely choosing his next set of words, "We were . . . in the last life . . . but this time . . ." He looked to the side in thought, "Things are different now, we saw each other as enemies for a long while in this life so saying that we're close is a long stretch . . ." He looked down at his gloved hands, "But I care about him to an extent. Enough to not go ahead with my original plan of killing him before history repeats itself. But if he get's in the way of us I'll get rid of him. I'm sure he feels the same."
Eddy looked at him, taking in what he was saying, seeing that this was the first time that Simon talked about his brother this way, "I'm sorry that things are fucked up between you two."
Simon looked a Eddy, chuckling softly at the kindness dripping from his mate's heart. "I'm not. So you shouldn't be. I have you so it's okay." He softly spoke. "You ready?" He took the bag that he packed and slipped the handles over a shoulder.
Eddy smiled softly, tilted his head to the side, "yeah I'm ready . . . . although I'm sorta nervous as heck right now."
Simon shrugged as he took of one of his gloves and reached down to intertwine his fingers with his mate's and started pulling him towards the door of their apartment, "Nervous for what? Meeting my brother and his mate? Are you purposely trying to make me jealous?"
"N-no no no no I'm not trying to do anything! Calm yourself . . . . you're all that i see anyways so . . . why worry?" He spoke softly, a blush appearing on his face at that confession.
Simon already had them out the door and couldn't help stopping in mid-motion of locking their door at his mate's comment. He sighed out, ". . . . then you're trying to have me push you against this door and making you scream my name at the top of your voice." He licked his lips at the smell of his mate's arousal from his word's. "Marking you as mine as you mark me as yours . . . over and over again."
Eddy blushed harshly, lightly punching his mate's arm with the hand that wasn't captured, "Seriously stop talking." He shivered softly, "You're always saying shit that gets me . . . ." He bit his lip from saying anymore. "We don't have time to be . . ." He shuffled his weight from one leg to the other, "You suck. . . . you do know that right? You totally suck."
Simon smiled slightly, "Mmmh." He walked alongside his mate, enjoying the warm breeze passing through them. "We can't go back to that apartment Eddy."
Eddy sighed softly, moving closer towards his mate's arm, "I know . . . " He turned his head back, silently saying goodbye to the place they've called home for a year or so. "It was a good place though."
Simon stayed quiet for a bit, reaching the stairs that lead towards the parking lot. "I know . . . " He lead them towards their car, unlocking it with his gloved hand, throwing the bag into the backseat before opening the passenger side for his mate. "But you're all the home i need so . . . it's not really a big problem for me." He looked down at Eddy, shrugging his shoulders before bending down to give his mate a soft kiss, "buckle up tight love, it might be a bumpy ride." He shut the door, going towards his side.
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
Kevin sighed softly as he pulled out of the driveway, his mate safely buckled right next to him. Pressing his foot heavily against the gas pedal, his eyes focusing on the road. His heart rate thumped normally like meeting his brother wasn't a big deal, even if the asshole tried to kill him. His heart rate would speed up at the thought that his mate was in danger, his furry blasing silently that bastard almost hurt Edd. He glanced at his mate who's head was leaning against his shoulder, eyes closed like he was sleeping but he knew better then to assume that Edd was sleeping. He moved his head slightly to nuzzle his nose against his head to take in his scent to calm his mind. He moved one of his hands from the steering wheel to intertwine his fingers with his mates.
Edd opened his eyes, glancing up at his mate, reaching the hand that was captured to gently touch at his mate's cheek, "D-Don't worry s-so much." He rubbed his fingers against Kevin's tensed jaw.
Kevin turned his head to kiss at his mates palm, "As much as I want to relax . . . I just can't. If that bastard so much as places on finger on you-"
"B-but he w-won't." Edd moved up to nuzzle his nose against his mate's neck, ignore the fact that this position was making his side ache, "W-we're together."
Kevin's body untensed itself at his mate's words and his grip loosened on the steering wheel, "Yeah . . . ." He chuckled softly, "You're right."
Edd smiled slightly at having calmed his mate, he moved down slightly to relieve his sides ache and looked forward, seeing that the sun's light wasn't as harsh, and normally white clouds were a beautiful pink-purple-ish tint, "W-we're are w-we going?" He looked towards his mate, curious eyes focused on Kevin's form.
Kevin smiled a nervous smile, "I . . . don't know exactly but it's like my body knows where to go . . . . I don't know if that makes sense." He turned the car into a wooded pathway, driving the car on a driven pathway with trees surrounding them, filtering the sun's rays making it seem like the sun suddenly decided that the slow descent of night fall was taking too long. "I can't explain way but . . . i feel at peace here, like outside troubles are kept away from here." His body fully relaxed. He stopped the car near another one already parked there, he looked out to see two figures more out in the woods clearing. He turned towards his mate, "Ready?"
Edd nodded softly as he buckled his seatbelt and climbed out slowly, staring at the two figures that was walking towards them hand to hand. He looked towards Kevin, making his way towards him, sighing in comfort as Kevin met him halfway, wrapping an arm around him.
Simon sighed softly as he stopped walking towards them, feeling like they were close enough, "Tell me how we got here before you did? Why are you always late Kevin?" He rolled his eyes as he looked completely bothered at the fact.
Kevin growled slightly, "Not like you gave me a fucking time and place. Or maybe I didn't hear it when you were trying to kill us!" He glared at him.
Simon laughed tightly, "Lmao. Blaming someone else huh? Back to old habits I see." Not at all bothered by Kevin's body language. "You're such a riot Kevin. Please entertain me some more." Giving Kevin a cold glare to match his fiery one.
Eddy sighed dramatically, "Seriously boys? Now is the time that you choose to act like kids?" He looked up at Simon, "We don't have time for this Simon," He looked towards Kevin, "and Kevin."
Simon sighed softly, nodding slightly before he looked towards Kevin, "Okay, so here's the deal, I have some idea of what's going on but it's just guesses on my part." He rolled his head towards the left in thought, "There's something out there that wants us dead. I'm sure you figured that out. And I'm sure that Martha and Steve know at least what it is." He looked towards his brothers mate, "And what its really after isn't us Kevin, it's our mates." He had a serious pained expression, "Every damn time! It's our mates that . . ." He bit his bottom lip, the words stuck in his throat.
Kevin looked away from Simon, pulling Edd closer towards him, "What does Mom and Dad have anything to do-"
"Those people aren't are parents Kevin." He spoke lowly and slowly like he was getting irritated, "How the fuck did we come from them and they aren't the same as us? Why would they have everything planned out like they knew exactly when we'd mature? Why don't we remember our childhood? Why couldn't you remember me when we're supposed to be twins?!" Simon's gaze softened slightly, " Do you even know how old you are?." He sighed softly."There's no one like us Kevin expect for our mates. And they are also in the same position as us." He gripped his mate's hand slightly, "We aren't supposed to exist in this time-"
"Enough!" Kevin had his mate tightly within his embrace, shaking softly in realization and fear, "Just stop talking . . . please you're scaring him." He leaned his head down to press soft kisses against his forehead.
Edd shook harshly, his hands covering his ears as his mind swirled with the information Simon provided, some dots connecting information together. He whimpered softly as he sank himself deeper in his mate's embrace, shaking his head slightly.
Simons eyes grew distant, "He has to hear it. That's the only way we're gonna survive this shit." He felt his mate shaking softly as the reaction of Kevin's mate, "He needs to know we've died before."
Edd's whimper grew louder, feeling his mind split in two different direction, like flashbacks and memories shuffling together and replaying in some random order. "K-kevin . . ." He sobbed out, "S-s-save me!" He panted out.
Eddy frowned at Simon and looked at him, "Stop it Simon, just stop." He felt himself feeling shaken, whimpering softly, breathing deeply like he's been running.
Simon suddenly wrapped his arms around Eddy, pulling him tight against his warm chest, within his trench coat, "Shit. Sorry love." He purred out softly, waiting patiently for his mate to calm down and relax. Mentally slamming his head against a table for making his mate uncomfortable. "I admit I was being an asshole." He rubbed along his mate's arms and shoulders, speaking soft comforting words.
Kevin purred out, also waiting patiently for his mates emotion to level out. He rubbed at his back slowly with one hand and pulling his hands away from his ears as he spoke softly, "Don't shut me out love. I'm right here. We're safe." He moved his hands to cup at his mate's cheek, pressing kisses along his lips and nose repetitively.
Edd sighed out softly, feeling it all level out the more Kevin give him gentle attention. He reached around and wrapped his arms around his mates middle, opening his eyes that he had no idea he closed and looked at his mate, responding to his soft touches. "Thank you." He nuzzled his nose against his mate's jaw, scenting him for comfort.
Eddy leaned more into his embracing, breathing out eveningly before speaking, "Don't ever do that . . . ." He pulled back and looked at his mate, "Please."
Simon nodded slightly, whispering his apologizes towards his mate. He looked up towards his brother and his mate, his expression softening, "My apologizes." He sighed out, ". . . . . After they calm down . . . we really need to talk about this."
A/N: OMGOSH! I finally finished this chapter! I had no idea how long this chapter would be until after I decided to leave it off here until next chapter.
