I scan through all my e-mails while the guys in cheap suits finish up their boring presentation in front of me. Damn Andrea for setting up these ridiculous meetings for me. I know I should be doing better things with my time.

"Mr. Grey?" I look up from my laptop to see one of the men, I forgot what his name is, staring blankly at me. I try to focus on his face, but I'm drawn to his multicolored tie. "What do you say?"

"What do I say?" I tap my fingertips against my desk with annoyance. "I say that this is a complete waste of my time. My assistant will show you gentlemen the way out." With that I stand and exit my office, slamming the door behind me.

Andrea looks up in surprise when she sees me leaning up against the door. "Mr. Grey? Is there anything I can get you?" She doesn't try to hide the surprise in her voice.

I close my eyes and rub my temples. "No, Andrea, but thank you. I think I just need some fresh air." I press the down button on the elevator and soon it stops to let me in. Another man nods at me in acknowledgement as he steps out and I step in. I'm down to the lobby without any stops in between. A miracle really.

The floor is loud and full of people. Some try to get me to stop and talk, but I quickly make my escape and file through the glass doors and out into downtown Seattle. I take a deep breath, trying to calm myself. I pull out my phone thinking that I should call Ana at work. It's lunchtime so she should be eating the packed lunch that Gail made for her to take in this morning. I go to press the call button when a dark figure moves to stand in front of me. I glance up ready to shoo away whoever is thinking about bothering me.

"Can I help you?" I seethe in pure frustration. The man is a tad shorter than me, dressed in all black and has his hands in his sweatshirt pockets. He doesn't say anything at first, but looks me up and down with beady little eyes. "I'm not going to ask again. What do you want?" I ball up my fist around my phone.

"So you're the Christian Grey I've been hearing all about."

"So I am. Now what is it before I call security." I'm in no mood to play games here.

"Oh, it's nothing. I just wanted to come down and finally meet you in person."

Meet me in person? What the hell is this guy talking about? "If you want to interview for my company, then you'll have to go through my assistants." Now go away and leave me alone you creep.

He thinks about this for a minute. "How about I interview you for a change, Grey?" His tone is cold and arrogant.

"Excuse me? Who in the hell are you again?"

He ignores me. "Do you have a girlfriend, Mr. Grey?"

"What the hell! You have three seconds to leave or you'll be escorted off my property." I practically spit in his fat, little face. He doesn't flinch, but stands completely still.

"I bet you threaten her this way. I bet you hit your little bitch until she's screaming for-" That was the last straw. Before I know it I swing my fist at his face and he falls to the ground in a blurred mess. The pedestrians around us quickly walked pass, without uttering a word. Smart people.

I lean down until my mouth is next to his ear. "If I ever see you around her again you better hope to God you have a good lawyer because I'll kill you if you run your mouth to me again. Got it?" I growl.

"Fuck you." He mumbles with his hand to his bleeding nose.

I'm about to pound him into the ground when Taylor comes from behind me and grabs onto my raised arm. "Grey! What are you doing?" He manages to pulls me off the street and back inside GEH. He pulls me into a private room. "What was that?" He's furious I can tell. It's ironic that I pay him to protect me from harm, but as of right now I am the harm.

"That fucker was talking about Ana!" I run my hands through my hair.

"He was? What was his name? What did he say?"

"I don't fucking know, he wouldn't say! He just asked if I was seeing anyone and then kept running his mouth." My heartbeat is going crazy with my adrenaline. I sit down and try to count my breaths.

"Alright. I'll look into it, Mr. Grey. But I would highly advise that you don't go around punching random people in the busy streets of Seattle. I'm sure someone got a good picture of this." Fuck I didn't even think about the press. God dammit.

For the rest of the day I stay in my office and try my best to focus on my work, but his words keep replaying over and over in my head. Who would say something like that? Who would say something like that to me? My thoughts run wild all day until pretty soon it's time for me to leave and pick up Ana from work.

I sit in the back of the Audi while Taylor pulls up in front of SIP to meet Ana. She comes running out and instantly I relax at the sight of her. "Hey." She says as she climbs into the back seat. I quickly grab her and pull her to me until she's seated on my lap. I burry my nose in her hair and inhale deeply. Her scent alone calms me. "Christian, what is it? What's wrong?"

"It's just been a long day." I press quick kisses to her head. "I've missed you."

"I've missed you, too." She wraps her arms around my shoulders and nuzzles into my chest. We stay like that the entire ride until we end up back at Escala.

"Would you like something to eat? Gail took the night off to visit family so we're out of a cook tonight." I watch as she slips off her coat and heads into the media room.

"No. I think I just wanna relax and watch some mindless TV. Why don't you join me?"

I'm going to het her to eat whether she likes it or not, but maybe we both just need a couple minutes to sit down and relax. "Sure. Let me go change real quick and then I'll be in."

I head into the bedroom where I switch my suit out for a pair of sweatpants and a plain t-shirt. I was my face in the bathroom with some cold water hoping that it'll give me some relief. When I'm done I walk into the media room and find the TV on and Ana sitting on the edge of the couch. She has the news on and my pictures flashes across the screen along with a photo of the man I punched in the face today.

"Look, Ana I can explain."

Ana quickly hops off the couch and comes to stand in front of me. "Christian you saw that guy? You punched him?" He voice is everywhere and her face is scrunched up in panic.

"Yeah, but Ana he was asking weird questions and-"

"Christian," He voice gets quiet and I can tell that something is bothering her. "That was Kevin."
