AN: Written for the Fan-Made Potter family challenge by Corelle Gindals. The pairing I chose turned out to be Harry/Cho and the setting is the Epilogue at the platform.
Once again, Platform nine and three quarters filled with pupils and parents of all ages. Once more, the train steamed, the steam billowed and once more, the Hogwarts Express prepared to take the journey to Hogwarts once again.
In the midst of all the steam, an excited young girl dragged her parents towards the train yabbering away excitedly with her long black ponytail bouncing as she walked.
"-and of course the Gryffindors are practically all Weasley these days and it's a wonder that-"
Harry chuckled as he watched his daughter animatedly talking away about the forthcoming school year and Quidditch in particular.
"-of course, we're in with a good chance this year. Dobson has put together our best team in years and Gryffindor have just lost their best seeker they've had since you were in school, who will need to be replaced of course."
"Lily, Quidditch isn't everything," Harry said with amusement and he watched his daughter's face fall.
"Daaaaaad," she whined. "For the first time in centuries, Hufflepuff are in with a good chance to win the Quidditch cup and you're not saying that's important!"
Cho chuckled with amusement at the look on Harry's face, who gave her a friendly scowl.
"She gets that from your side of the family," was all he would say and Cho smiled fondly at their daughter.
"Oh look, there's Rose and Hugo!" Lily said pointing over to a group of four people emerging from the mist and she waved. "Oh I wonder if Rose is going to be with me in Hufflepuff? We could use her Quidditch skills next year when Sean leaves and-"
"I don't think that she's going to be thinking that far ahead," Cho said as she gave the Weasley's a friendly wave. "Rose will be busy settling in, not worrying about Quidditch."
"It seems not so long ago that you were standing there," Cho added with a fond smile. "You were so nervous and so pale."
"And now it's their turn," Harry added and Lily snorted.
"Don't worry dad. I'll keep an eye on them. Thy won't have anything to worry about," she paused thoughtfully for a moment. "Unless they end up playing Quidditch against us. I can't promise that they'll be safe up against the twins. They're dangerous in the air."
"And people say that Hufflepuff are just a bunch of duffers," Harry murmured to his wife who playfully punched his arm.
"I'm sure that's not likely to be a problem," Cho said gently. "She's only a first year."
"Dad was on the Gryffindor team in his first year," Lily pointed out and Cho sighed.
"Harry, Cho hi!" Ron said as the two families came together and Harry smiled. Rose mumbled something that sounded vaguely like a hello. Taking the younger girl by the hands, Lily gave her a kind smile.
"Don't worry. I'll look after you at Hogwarts," she said and Rose gave her a timid smile. All was well.
