AN: Hi to everyone who is still reading this. I am sorry for taking more than 1 year to update this story, how insane is that. I could come up with petty excuses about having a lot of work to do in school etc. but the truth is that I had this chapter done less than a month after I posted the last chapter, and I have been too lazy to update the story. But I have not abandoned it, and even if I have not updated it for 5 years, it will not be abandoned unless I say so. So here is the 4'th chapter.

When Phoebe arrived at the manor almost twenty minutes later, there was an unfamiliar car next to the house so she had to park her own on the other side of the road. 'I wonder who it is', she thought, Piper hadn't mentioned that they would be having guests over.

She knocked on the door while she opened it and when she was inside she took off her jacket and laid her things on the floor "I'm here!" she yelled and walked into the living room in search of her family.

To her surprise there was a shorthaired man sitting in one of the armchairs with Wyatt in his lap, and they appeared to be reading one of Wyatt's children books. "I'm sorry but who are you?" Her question made both of them look up as if they hadn't heard her call out a couple of seconds earlier.

Wyatt immediately jumped down from the chair and ran into her waiting arms. She tightened her hold on him and kissed his head. When the man stood up as well she took a step backwards and stared at him suspiciously.

He stuck out his hand for her to shake, "Hi you must be Phoebe."

Wyatt twisted himself out of her arms and ran towards the kitchen, probably to tell the others that she had arrived.

"Yes, I am" She said and shook his hand.

When he noticed her sceptical expression it hit him that he hadn't introduced himself.

"Oh I'm sorry, I'm Henry Mitchell? I'm here with Paige."

Slowly the puzzle solved itself and she realized who the person before her was, "Oh, oh! Henry! Yes of course, I just didn't know that you were coming over tonight. It's good to finally meet you."

Wyatt came running back into the room with his mother in tow, saving Phoebe from making a complete fool of herself.

"Phoebe! Honey I'm so glad you're here, have you said hello to Henry yet?" Piper said and walked right over to her sister and gave her a quick hug and a kiss on the cheek. "You remember Henry right? The one Paige has been talking about?"

Phoebe smiled back at her sister and Henry, "Yes I have, and of course I remember him she barely talks about anything else these days."

The two witches laughed while Henry blushed and excused himself to go find Paige.

When he was gone Phoebe smacked Piper on the arm "Thanks for the warning! Why didn't you tell me he was coming over? I just made a fool of myself back there!"

Piper snorted and picked up the book that had been discarded on the chair, "You would have made a fool of yourself whether I had told you or not. Besides, I didn't even know! She just brought him over and said 'Hey this is Henry I hope it's alright I brought him with me!' I was just a ready for this as you were!"

Phoebe started laughing and she gave her sister another hug, Piper's scowl quickly turned into a smile.

"At least he seems nice."

Dinner had actually gone really well and Henry turned out to be just as kind as Paige had said he was. Watching him and Paige interact made the rest of the Halliwell family see what great chemistry the two of them had together.

At one point during the evening when they had sat down in the soft chairs and the couch, Phoebe felt a stab of jealousy; Paige and Henry were sitting together holding hands, clearly in love. And opposite them were Piper and Leo; two amazing persons who had created a wonderful family together. It had been forever since she had brought someone home herself and she was starting to miss it a little, 'maybe soon' she thought to herself.

Later, when she finally came home, her answering machine told her that she had a message waiting for her. She pressed the button and started taking off her jacket and shoes. "Hi Phoebe, it's uh its Billie,"

Her mouth opened in surprise and she froze in her step and walked over to the recorder.

"You remember our plans for Sunday? Well, I'm sorry but I've gotten an extra load of work from school, and they want me in the library as well so I have to cancel our … um our thing."

Phoebe groaned and threw her head back.

"I'm sorry Phoebe, I was really looking forward to it… So maybe if you were looking forward to it as well, we could reschedule it for another day?"

She sounded incredibly nervous and awkward and it made the witch smile even though she was still bummed that their thing had been cancelled.

"Anyway, I'm free Thursday and most of Sunday in next week, so maybe if you happen to be doing nothing either of those days, then maybe we could be doing nothing together? So if you're free and you wanna hang out, then call me, okay? Bye"

She listened to the message two more times before calling it a night and going to bed.

The weekend had been slow, and Phoebe was actually happy to be going to work Monday. In her dinner break she had finally called Billie, and they had rescheduled their whatever-it-was to Thursday evening. She was excited to see the blonde again, and hoped that their plans wouldn't be cancelled once more.

However, this time Phoebe also needed some answers. She needed to know what exactly was going on between the two of them; were they meeting as friends or something else entirely? She was secretly hoping for the latter, but really had no idea.

She had been trying hard to read the signs between them, but most of their interactions could be interpreted as either friendly or romantic depending on what context you wanted it to be. Part of her thought it was hard to figure out because Billie was a woman as well; if they had been a man and a woman, the lingering gazes and touches would almost definitely have been assumed as being of a romantic nature, but Phoebe knew from experience that women were typically more touchy-feely between friends than men were. So maybe Billie was just trying to be her friend? Ugh, just thinking about it made her head hurt, she needed some answers and soon.

The two of them had decided to eat at a diner close to Phoebe's apartment, Billie had taken the bus to get there and when she got out Phoebe was there waiting for her. The food had been great, and Billie was wonderful to talk to. Most of their conversation was about Billie's school, Phoebe's work and there shared interests. Both of them were trying to get to know each other as quickly as possible.

For some reason Phoebe had not found the courage to voice her burning question yet and time was quickly running out. When they made it outside after having paid their bills, Billie turned towards her and motioned at the street before them "Do you wanna walk me to the bus stop?"

"Yeah of course."

This was it, her chance to ask the blonde was now, she opened up her mouth to talk but her companion beat her to it.

"Listen Phoebe, there's something I wanna talk to you about"

The witch stopped in her tracks a confused look on her face, when Billie kept walking she quickly followed.

"I have really enjoyed spending time with you Phoebe; these couple of times we have met have been great, you're great company." She smiled to the brunette, but Phoebe couldn't smile back, she could already hear the 'but' forming on Billie's lips.

"But I'm a bit unsure as to what this," she pointed to the air between the two of them "is. I felt pretty confident in the beginning, but recently I've been getting some mixed vibes from you."

Phoebe stopped walking and looked curiously at the blonde 'could they really have been thinking about the same thing all this time?'. Billie halted as well, the bus stop was now less than a stone throw from them.

"I don't want to make you uncomfortable, but I think I need to know exactly what's going on between us, and whether or not we want the same thing, before I get any deeper in this."

She looked just as nervous and unsure of herself as Phoebe had felt just thinking about it, and she could relate to everything that came out of the younger woman's mouth.

"I guess what I'm trying to say is, what is your intension about this? Because I personally would like to be your friend Phoebe and keep meeting as friends, but honestly I would love for us to hang out together as more than just 'friends'. Do, do you get what I'm trying to say here?"

Uncertainty, fear of rejection and a slight panic was painted in her face, and she looked like she was holding her breath while awaiting the brunette's answer.

Phoebe was stunned, how lucky could she be that this woman before her had been having the exact same thoughts as her, and the same intensions as well? So caught up in what the blonde had said and her own thoughts, she hadn't answered Billie's question and the younger woman took a step back, put her hand over her eyes and groaned, the sound finally brought Phoebe out of her daze.

"You're not even into women are you? God I'm an idiot! Phoebe I'm so sorry for coming on to you like that, and I understand it if you don't want to see me again," "Wait Billie stop," She tried to interrupt but Billie was on a roll and talking faster and faster. "I'll just get on this bus and you'll never see me again, I promise."

When the blonde turned around to walk away, Phoebe made the choice to not let this chance go and so she caught Billie's wrist with her right hand and pulled her back so they were facing each other again. The blonde's cheeks were red with embarrassment and her eyes were on the ground.

"You didn't give me enough time to answer." Phoebe said and placed her left hand on Billie's cheek, taking a deep breath to steady her nerves, she leaned forward until their lips met in a soft kiss.

The blonde stiffened at the unexpected touch, but relaxed after a second and grabbed hold of the front of Phoebe's jacket and pulled her closer.

They were both smiling and blushing when they pulled apart.

"Guess I should have taken the time to hear what you had to say."

A sharp knock on her door Sunday morning startled Phoebe in the middle of her morning coffee, and with a groan she walked to the door and opened it to find her sister Piper on the other side of it.

"What took you so long?" The eldest Halliwell said and walked right past her confused sister.

Phoebe closed the door and walked back to see that Piper had now taken her seat and was about to claim ownership of her coffee as well.

"Oh no you don't!" She said and yanked the cup out of her sister's hand "The coffee machine is right behind you and you can find a mug in the cupboard above the sink." Piper narrowed her eyes but surrendered after a while and got up to fix herself a cup of coffee.

"So do you mind telling me what you're doing in my kitchen on this fine Sunday morning?" Phoebe asked once Piper had sat down with her own steaming cup of coffee.

The older woman took a sip of her drink before answering; "Leo took the kids over to a birthday party in our neighbourhood, and Paige is spending her day with Henry, again I might add, they have become inseparable and I just can't stand being around them. And then I thought 'Hey I haven't seen Pheebs in ages' and well, here I am."

The brunette laughed "It's hardly been ages, I was over Friday last week, remember?"

Piper smiled softly and squeezed her younger sister's hand, "I know, it's just hard to adjust to you not being around all of the time. Besides we hadn't heard from you since Friday, so I had to make sure you hadn't been eaten by some demon."

They laughed together and then sat in comfortable silence until their cups were half full.

"Joking aside though," Piper said "have you had any supernatural visitors since you moved in?"

Phoebe shook her head. The drastic fall in demon attacks at both households had been an unexpected benefit to them, and had she known that it would turn out that way she would have moved out a long time ago.

"Yeah, you almost kind of miss it though huh?" Piper joked.

A snort and a smack on her arm was the only answer she got.

"Ouch! How unladylike of you." She said and exaggerated her pain, "Speaking of ladies," she continued with a smirk "how are things going between you and your college girl? Did you have that talk?"

When Phoebe promptly blushed and laughed nervously, Piper knew that things had gone well, "Wow! That good huh?"

"We kissed!" The younger woman blurted out.

Piper opened her mouth in surprise.

"Well I, I kissed her, but then she kissed me back. So yeah, we uh we kissed."

The eldest Halliwell closed her gaping mouth and smiled "So I assume you wanted the same thing then?"

Phoebe nodded, "Yeah we're kind of dating now I guess." She said, feeling anxious about her sister's reaction.

Piper could easily pick up the other woman's anticipation and nervous demeanour, and she didn't want Phoebe to even for a second believe that she did not accept this.

"Honey," she said, and squeezed her hand again "I'm glad that you're happy. You have dated so many men over the last couple of years, who knows; maybe you've been looking for 'the one' in all the wrong places."

The younger woman smiled and felt a newfound respect for her sister. She didn't think she could love her more than she already did, but Piper kept proving her wrong again and again.

They sat still for a while until Piper abruptly stood up and clapped her hands together, "Its past midday already, let's make ourselves something to eat."

Hours later when Piper had long since gone home and Phoebe was getting ready for bed, she thought about her conversation with her older sister; not the part where she had scolded Phoebe for not having anything edible in her fridge, but the part where she had given Phoebe her absolute acceptance.

Of course they had talked about it when she had first mentioned Billie, but she had honestly needed the extra reassurance. Now that only left a couple of people in her life who didn't know. She was sure that Leo knew, Piper had most definitely told him – the two of them shared everything, if you told one of them a secret it was only a matter of time before the other would know as well. She knew that Leo was okay with it though.

That left Paige, and unlike Piper she hadn't known her since birth, and she certainly hadn't known her during her youth where she had experimented with both men and women. Her younger sister had never spoken ill about two people of the same sex being together, but then she had never actually spoken about it at all.

They would have to talk about that in the future – but only if she and Billie became more serious, she decided.
