AN: I think I have started every single chapter, besides the first one, with an apology... So why stop now, amiright?! So... Sorry. And especially sorry to the reviewer who begged me not to take an entire year to update - because that is exactly what I did!

I recently got some faves and follows because of this story, so hey, who says that doesn't make us update faster? Right? xD

Anyway, the fift chapter is finally here, I hope you enjoy it and it would make me so very happy if you left a review :)

Phoebe

It happened on a Wednesday. She had left work early because of her and Billie's plans for the night and she had just walked into her home when she saw the demon. It was a big and ugly male demon, with dark tattoos on his arms written in a language she could not understand. He was rummaging through her kitchen drawers and despite the fact that she hadn't sneaked into her apartment he hadn't heard her enter.

This gave Phoebe the upper hand and she looked through her handbag as silently as she could for some vanquishing potions. With those in hand she crept closer to the supernatural being and readied her aim.

Caught up in the fact that there was a demon in front of her, she forgot all about that one spot on the floor that creaked loudly if you as much as breathed on it. The demon heard it loud and clear though and turned on the spot throwing whatever it was in his hand at her. The object hit her right on the forehead and the potion she had been getting ready to throw flew into the sink instead.

The demon started shimmering out, but before he disappeared completely Phoebe managed to hit him with the second potion and he burst into flames in the middle of her kitchen. Breathing hard, Phoebe leaned against the kitchen counter and took a moment to calm herself down; her heart was beating wildly and her legs were shaky.

After a while she started to feel pain on her forehead and remembered that the demon had hit her with something, touching her head with her hand she could feel the sticky presence of blood. Looking around, she found what the demon had thrown at her; it was one of her forks. Sighing she picked it up, threw it in the sink and walked over to the mirror next to her front door to inspect the damage.

If she was not going on a date later the same day, it would have been fine, and the red bruise would have disappeared before the weekend was over. But now she was going on a date, and the broken skin of her forehead did not sit well with her. How was she going to explain this to Billie?

"Oh my god! Have you been in a fight?" Was the first thing out of Billie's mouth when she laid eyes on Phoebe.

"Nice to see you too." Phoebe muttered and tried to arrange her hair to cover the now slightly purple bruise above her right eyebrow. Had it not been the beginning of summer, she would have been hiding under some kind of hat.

Billie, completely ignoring Phoebe's attempts at hiding her injury, reached out her hand and brushed the hair away from her date's face. The gesture surprised them both; they had never touched each other much, and Billie quickly pulled back her hand.

"What happened?"

With her well-practiced lie, Phoebe explained how she had run into a door at work. It was a far cry from the truth, and she felt bad about telling Billie a lie, but she couldn't really tell her what had actually happened.

They were going to some greenhouses in one of the city's parks. Now that the summer had really begun The Botanical Gardens were open late, having tours, lectures and plenty of plants to see for those who were interested in them. Billie had heard about it from someone in her class, and she had asked Phoebe if she wanted to go see it.

There were several greenhouses, large and small, filled with both local and exotic plants and trees. As they walked through one of the greenhouses Phoebe kept thinking about the demon that had been in her home earlier in the day. Between work and getting ready for her date with Billie, she hadn't really had the time to tell any of her sisters about what had happened. At the same time she was curious whether or not, they had had an unwelcome visitor as well.

All thoughts of demons vanished though, as soon as a another's hand grabbed hers and she looked down to see that Billie was softly holding her hand.

"Is this okay?" The blonde asked.

Phoebe squeezed her hand gently and gave her a reassuring smile. "It is very okay."

She looked up, and really took in all the herbs, flowers and plants around them. She recognized a lot of them; Thyme, Rosemary and Oleander were all around them. If Piper had known where she was, she would have given Phoebe a list of herbs to bring back home.

"Wow some of these plants have a really strong fragrance," Billie commented as they passed a bright purple one. Its' smell reminded Phoebe of whenever a demon burned up because of a vanquish potion. Thinking about vanquishing, she'd have to get some more potions after the incident earlier in the day.

Beside her, Billie reached out for a plant with small white flowers. Phoebe had barely looked at the plant before she had pulled the blonde away from it.

"Don't touch it, it's poisonous."

"It is?" Billie asked surprised, "How do you know? Are plants your secret hobby?".

Phoebe grinned, "No, but my sister Piper is really into herbs and flowers. And if she were here, she'd tell you that this is a Hemlock plant and that you should not touch it because it is quite poisonous, especially the root." It was really the closest she could get without telling a lie, plus she was pretty sure Piper would forgive her for making Billie think she was obsessed with plants, she was after all the potions master in the family.

When they were sick of walking around the humid greenhouses they bought themselves ice cream and sat down on a grassy hill overlooking a small lake and the greenhouses, where people were still milling around, enjoying the warm evening. When they were both finished eating, they laid down on the grass, and looked up at the sky while holding hands.

Because of the fast approaching summer and the sun that had yet to go down completely, there were no stars to see, but it didn't make it any less magical. Phoebe's heart was beating loudly in her chest, while Billie softly trailed her fingers up and down the brunette's forearm. Every touch from the younger woman sent sparks through Phoebe's veins.

She was so content and happy in that moment, that she nearly fell asleep. But when Billie's hand stilled on her arm she cracked her eyes open and looked at the blonde, who was looking at sky with a frown on her face while chewing softly on her bottom lip.

"Hey." She said, getting the other woman's attention. "Are you okay?"

Billie turned her eyes back to the sky. "I guess I'm just nervous, I've never done this before." She said and gestured to the space between the two of them.

"What, gone on a date?" Phoebe teased and rolled onto her side to better look at the blonde.

A smile graced Billie's face shortly, but then it disappeared again and her cheeks grew red.

"No, I mean, I've never dated another woman before. I've kissed a couple sure, but it was never anything more than some sloppy kisses at a frat party."

Phoebe said nothing, she let Billie collect her thoughts.

"What I mean is; I've never tried anything like this before. But that doesn't mean that I'm not gonna give this a chance. I hope you know that, and I hope you don't think that this is just some stupid college experiment. I really want this." The last four words came out like a whisper, and Phoebe felt their sincerity.

Taking a deep breath, she leaned over Billie, cupped her left cheek and lowered her face onto the blonde's. Their lips met tentatively - this close to her, Phoebe could smell Billie's apple scented shampoo. Feeling more confident, the older woman pressed her lips harder against the blonde's, and moved her lips softly against hers.

The need for air made them pull away, but quickly after, a hand in Phoebe's hair pulled her back down again. The blood was pounding in her ears and for a second she couldn't care less if a comet hit the earth - she was happy and feeling more alive than she had in the last couple of months.

"Hey! You two! The park is closing!" Someone nearby shouted and Phoebe and Billie jumped away from each other, both of them blushing madly. Then they started laughing while helping each other up. On their way to the exit Phoebe picked out grass from the blonde's hair, thinking that despite the day starting out like crap, there was no better way to end it.

An hour later, after she had dropped off her date at the college's nearby dorm rooms, Phoebe had continued driving to the manor. It was late, but hopefully both Paige and Piper were still up so she could tell them about the demon attack.

She unlocked the door and silently entered; both Chris and Wyatt should be sleeping and she didn't want to be the one to wake them up. "Piper? Leo?" She called quietly, making her way into the kitchen.

In the kitchen she found Paige, reading a magazine with her phone next to her on the counter.

"Hey Pheebs, what are you - Oh no, what happened?" Paige exclaimed as she entered and rushed forward to examine the bruise on Phoebe's forehead.

Phoebe took a step back and waved Paige's hands away. "It's fine, I'll tell you about it. Is Piper still up though? I'd like for her to hear it too."

"One second!" Paige said and orbed out of the kitchen.

She returned not more than a second later with Piper, who was scowling at her in her pajamas. When she spotted Phoebe however her frown turned into a smile, that was until she noticed the bruise.

"Honey!" Piper exclaimed, "What happened to you?"

Phoebe began telling them about the demon that had attacked her earlier in the day, and how surprised she had been to find him in her apartment. Finally she allowed Paige to heal her forehead.

"I guess I knew it was bound to happen," Phoebe started, "it was just so nice not having to deal with that, even for a little while."

Her sisters nodded in agreement, and Piper opened her mouth to say something when a beeping sound interrupted them. Paige turned back and reached out for her phone so quickly Phoebe was afraid she'd give herself a whiplash. But it wasn't her phone, instead it was Phoebe's.

"Who are you expecting a call from?" Phoebe asked while she rummaged around her bag in search of her phone.

Piper sighed in annoyance, "She's waiting for Henry to call her, even though he left twenty minutes ago. You should be happy that you don't live here anymore, because seeing those two together-" She pretended to throw up in her hands.

Phoebe laughed while Paige's whole face turned red.

"Weren't you going to sleep?" Their youngest sister huffed.

"Yes I was!" Piper exclaimed, "Hopefully this time I won't be snatched away before I make it to the bed." She kissed Phoebe on the cheek before she left the room and went upstairs.

She and Paige sat in comfortable silence before she decided that it was time to go home. "Do you want me to take you home?" Paige asked, holding out her hand for Phoebe to take.

The eldest of the two shook her head. "I drove here, so I'd better get the car back home again or else I'm gonna have a problem tomorrow." She hugged her youngest sister tightly, "Good luck with that call though."

It was first when she got into the car in front of the manor, that she remembered the text she had gotten. Pulling out her phone, she decided to read it. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw that it was from Billie, and a smile grew when she read the message.

What are you doing Sunday?
