Holy Grail War
Part IV
Kurosaki's Place, Karakura Town
It has been only a couple of hours since Avenger took the life of the skull faced Servant known as Assassin or The Arm of Hassan-i-Sabbah. Right now, Avenger is changing out of his current attire and into more of his militarized outfit with him discarding the brown leather jacket and the light armor around his chest, forearms, legs and his red mask for his more durable mask and stronger and flexible gear. The inside of his helmet and the tactical visor that covered it gave him a heads up display of his surroundings and key points on his opponents from their weapons, Class, ranking and Noble Phantasms. The visor also appeared to mask his voice as his main means of concealing his identity. The chest plate also acted as a countermeasure to his future opponents weapons.
'To think I have to use this armor...' Ichigo says to himself while looking at the mirror in front of him. He hasn't used this armor for several years when he was a hired Magus Mercenary and this armor was made to stop a bloody war in the E.U., where traitors of the Mage's Association decided to destroy all of England, France and Italy for what the Clock Tower represents for all of the mages. He was hired to track down the traitors and stop the bloody war.
He of course had accepted the assignment and before he was sent, he was given this armor as it has the strongest defense against Magic and of course bullets. Ichigo would also save the known landmarks of where King Arthur was apparently laid and where the Sword of Caliburn was first sighted and where Jeanne D'Arc was Italy, he saved the former home of Leonardo D'Vinci, the tallest building in Florence, Venice and its known landmarks and Rome.
The Armor of Arkham, once belong to one of the Mage's Association's brilliant minds, Amadeus Arkham before he went criminally insane and became one of the traitors of the Mage's Association. While the others aren't as experience with a war but when Ichigo accepted the deal, he was given this armor as his payment and a bit more cash for consideration as well. When he did get the armor, Ichigo had to change some aspects of the outfit to make it his own with the visor going from a black visor to a red visor, keeping the identity of the Red Hood.
"Ichigo..." He turns around and sees Chisato leaning on the doorway. "You sure that you are fine using that armor?" She asks him a bit concerned.
"I'll be fine Chisato." He response back with his voice now being disguised by the mask, "No one in this world knows of my existence other than the name Avenger or the Red Hood." He then places his two pistols on his holsters, several grenades around his waist and some rune stones in one of his utility belt. "Besides, I'm not your average Servant of the Holy Grail."
She understood what he means with Ichigo being an unknown Heroic Spirit or even a Counter Force Guardian and could be one of the two potential winners of the 4th Holy Grail War in Fuyuki City. Being one of his 'guardians', she knows one of the outcomes of the 'Unlimited Blade/Reaper's Unlimited Heaven' route with either Rin Tohsaka being one of the victors or Ichigo Kurosaki being the victor of the Grail War. Both of them ended up destroying the Holy Grail but doesn't know who was the one to destroy the Grail.
"If something does happen while I'm away, initiate 'KnightFall' and be safe." She understood him with a nod as Avenger takes his leave with Mashu following behind him, leaving the guardian to watch over the residence and give him the backup he needs via coms.
Airport, England
'At least no one knows that I'm here...' Tristian says to himself as he is wearing a formal attire that consist of a simple black and white suit with a red tie, black formal gloves, black with white lining pants and black formal shoes. Since he has been ordered by Artoria to investigate Karakura Town, he might attract attention to himself if he were to wear his knights outfit. Of course it didn't help him get the attention of the women giving him the eye.
He then approaches the main attended and politely says, "One flight to Tokyo, Japan. Need the earliest flight."
"Of course, name?"
"Ken. Ken Matthews." He of course had to lie about his true name as there might be some Servants in the area and it might draw suspicion on him.
"Okay Ken Matthews, your flight to Tokyo, Japan will be around 4 o'clock in the afternoon* please be at terminal 5 to proceed with your trip to Tokyo, Japan."
"Thank you." Tristian would then take his luggage with him and proceeded to terminal 5 and wait for his plane to depart.
Ichigo's Past
Fuyuki College, Ichigo's Dorm Room
"Ichigo, the magic circuits in your body aren't ready yet. You need to rest." Ruler ordered her master to say in his bed.
After his fight against Avenger and Archer, the magic circuits in his body started to activate and cause great pain into his body. Normally this doesn't occur for most Mages but for Ichigo's case by using the constructed swords against Avenger's kukris's and Archer's twin swords, this was some else.
"If I don't go to Illya's mansion, that girl is going to die!" He pushes Ruler away and tries to get off of his bed but to which caused him to fall onto the floor. "That gold haired bastard of a Servant is gonna kill her!" He says angrily as he struggles to get on his feet, "While she maybe an enemy Jeanne, she is still a little girl."
Jeanne of course found this troubling for her master to put his life on the line after facing two servants that almost killed him. While she should be more neutral in terms of the Grail War but after being Ichigo's servant for the past couple of weeks, she could see what he sees. Ichigo saw a little girl that had to grow up alone with no one around her side besides her maids who recently found comfort with the large Berserker servant known as Hercules.
"I don't care whenever or not I win this Grail War Jeanne. I'm going to do what it takes to protect that girl from him."
She sighs to know that stubborn attitude of his isn't going to change once his mind is set up, she nods her head and obliges to her master's wishes. "Very well master. I'll do what I can to help you."
"Thanks Jeanne."
Dublin,Ireland
"Heard rumors that the master of Cu Chulainn is now in the world of the living." Said a man talking to his friends all around him.
"Really, didn't think she would come out of the world of the Underworld." Another male says in a surprised tone, "Scathach hasn't been seen in over a millennia. Why do you think she's here?" He asks the group.
"Probably to find Cu Chulainn." A female of the group says.
"Probably to find a worthy opponent?"
"Or to face Cu Chulainn."
"Or get that Holy Grail?"
The group would continue on asking questions on what is Scathach is doing in the world of the Living but couldn't get the answer they all want to know. While the group was talking, they didn't notice a woman walking into town, wearing a white dress shirt with some of the buttons exposing some of her cleavage, wearing a black/red bra and a black skirt with purple leggings and black high heels. None of them are aware of this woman is the Warrior Queen of the Underworld, Scathach, the mentor of Cu Chulainn.
None of them have seen her acting normally with her walking into town but there was someone that saw her and proceeded to walk towards her.
"Excuse me miss but I couldn't help but see you in need of help." He tries to act all smooth with her but she wasn't in the least bit interest but he still persist, "You must be new in town. My name is John. What's your name?"
"I'm not interest in you in the least. I would advise you to get out of my way." Scathach replies coldly to the man known as John, "If you consist of pursuing me, it will be a grave mistake." She brushes him off as she continues on walking into town and looks around her, astonished to see how the world has changed and evolved after being gone for so many yeas.
She sees people interacting with each other without a care in the world, thinking that it's all about the friendships that they all have to each other while she sees a couple acting all lovey dovey, something that she isn't use to after being the Underworld for many years.
'Is this what they call yearn ship?' She knows that being a human may require a yearn ship for affection, thinking of her time with her former student, Cu Chulainn. Of course she wouldn't think of him like that as she merely thought of him being the one person that can kill her but he didn't. Cu Chulainn had other priorities such as killing the beast Curruid and forging one of the beasts ribs into the legendary spear, Gae Bolg.
Maybe while she is going to search for the man that might give her the death she wants, she could also learn what it means to be human for once. Most of her life, she has acted nothing else but a warrior queen of the world of Shadows and the Underworld but never understood the human emotions that her student has learn since he was just a normal teen/young adult that got to experience it but herself.
'Maybe I'll find some...interesting aspects of the human mind.' She then continues on with her walk around the town observes the humans.
And that ends the chapter guys, Ichigo is now in a new gear and is ready to face the servants after him, Tristian is now on his way to Karakura Town and Scathach is now in the World of the Living and is now going to search for the masked servant Avenger.
The main questions I've been getting is why is each chapter short and not around 5K or more words. The answer is because I like to make things easier for me and teasing each chapter to what is to come in the next couple of chapters or future set ups such as Ichigo facing Lancer Artoria.
