Hey everybody, welcome to the story. I hope you are all doing well. I'm at college. All this work sucks but it isn't too bad. And hey I'm surviving off Pepsi and spite so that's something. I'll just get on to the disclaimer.

Disclaimer: Overwatch is owned by Blizzard Entertainment and it's respective developers. All I own is the plot of this story and some of the characters.

Now onto the story.

Watchpoint: Gibraltar, Rock of Gibraltar

In the days following the departure of Soldier 76's group, things in Watchpoint: Gibraltar had been relatively quiet with the exception of the incident that had arisen between two members of Joker Squad and with the return of Soldier: 76 and Shrike with new intel and leads two days later, almost everyone was in particularly high spirits, all except Tracer.

It had been a few days since Ghost had last made contact with anyone, including 76, and to say Lena was worried was an understatement. Having finished her daily workouts, practice, and duties, Lena was now spending her free time wandering around the base look for something to do. As she walked around, she found Ana sitting on the edge of the building, taking in the sunset with a cup of tea.

"Janina!" The young Brit called out causing the older Egyptian woman to turn around to see who called her. To Lena's surprise, Ana's mask was pulled up a bit, exposing her mouth, chin, and a bit of her nose so she could enjoy her tea. Seeing Lena approach, she smile at the young woman.

"Lena." Ana said with a smile before holding up an empty teacup she had nearby. "Tea?"

"Sure." Lena smiled and took the teacup, holding it still as Ana filled it. "Thank you."

"It's my pleasure." Ana smiled back. "How are you?"

"I'm doing okay. Today was a bit tiring, if I'm being honest." Lena answered. "I never got to ask you. How was your trip? James mentioned you and 76 were heading out to do your own separate things but he didn't tell me anything about it."

"I went to go check on some family and tie up a few loose ends while 76 and James went to hand more official business." Ana explained with a kind smile. Lena nodded in understanding before chewing her lip as she hesitated ask her next question.

"Have...have you heard from James?" Lena said, her worry showing in the tone of her voice. "I haven't heard from him since right before he started his mission and I'm worried about him." Ana's smile went away at the question. Neither her or 76 had heard anything from the youngest member of their group and she was starting to get worried herself. James had always made sure to stay on top of keeping in contact and would inform them when he would be out of contact for extended periods of time. For him to be out of contact for this long without reason was concerning and to her knowledge, 76 was still in the comms tower trying to get in touch with him but to no avail. With the way things were looking, they might have to start considering the worse. As she thought about it, she could see Lena's expression change to one of disappointment as she probably knew the answer from her silence.

"No, I'm sorry to say I haven't." Ana said putting a hand on her shoulder and smiled. "But I'm sure something there's nothing to worry about and his comms are just acting up. He did say he was going on a mission so maybe they were damaged and he just got delayed on the way back. If anything, his pilot probably decided to take the scenic route back." The last part got a giggle out of Lena and she smiled, looking back toward the sunset.

"Yeah, I'm sure everything is alright." Lena said. The two women continued to enjoy their tea in silence until 76 showed up looking for Ana.

"76, what can we do for you? Come to join us for tea?" Ana asked.

"We're needed in the meeting room." 76 said before walking away, heading toward to the meeting room. Both Ana and Tracer looked at each other before gathering up everything to put away. After taking a detour back to the private quarters to drop things off, Ana and Tracer both headed over to the meeting room. Once they arrived, they were greeted with Winston, Mercy, McCree, Genji, Reinhardt, 76, and the rest of Joker Squad, minus Garret and Ghost.

"What's the emergency?" Ana asked, her mask fully on.

"Have a listen." 76 said simply before Athena pulled an audio log over the table.

"Testing, testing." A voice started. "I have no idea what I'm doing with this thing." The man said quietly and sighed. "Fuck it, I'm just gonna assume it's working. To whoever this is being sent to, due to Ghost being out of commission, I'm your new informant, code name..." The sound of paper being moved about came from the recording. "Alibi. I was going through the intel Ghost snatched from Talon and looks like you've got an mission. Whether you chose to accept it or not is up to you. Talon has been keeping an eye on certain individuals with abilities they want and keeps detailed dossiers on each of them. If they can't convince them to join through conventional means, they send retrieval teams to collect them and force them to join through less than pleasant ones. One of the persons on that list is the heir of the Shimada clan, Hanzo Shimada. The Shimada's control over the dragon has always been something of interest to Talon and they've been trying to gain favor with the Shimada clan for the several years before the Overwatch shut them down. The mission is to find Hanzo and secure him. I'll keep an eye on the situation on the ground and forward any developments to you. Alibi out." With that, the message ended and everyone was silent, thinking over the information.

To Lena, however, her mind was stuck on the fact that Ghost was 'out of commission' and what that could entail. Closing her hand over her chest, she took a deep breath in hopes of calming herself, her mind blocking out the conversation around her.

"We should help my brother." Genji immediately said. "My brother is a good man at heart, he doesn't deserve a fate such as the one Talon has planned for him."

"I second that. I don't know much about Hanzo but Talon is trying to build up their numbers with powerful individuals. We can't let that happen." Adam said, filling in for Ghost as team leader.

"Agreed. We need to act quickly and make sure Talon doesn't get their hands on him." Soldier: 76 said.

"Now I'm all for helping people but we're not exactly welcome in Japan after what we did last time." McCree said from the other side of the table. "How are we going about this?"

"We need to minimize our presence in the area. After Ilios, the world is watching to see what we'll do next." Soldier: 76 said, folding his arms over his chest. That got everyone thinking. Finally, Winston spoke up.

"Alright, we'll have two teams sent to Japan. Genji, Lena, McCree, Reinhardt, Angela, and myself will be team one while Soldier: 76 and Shrike will join Joker team and act as team two. Is that fine with everyone else here?"

"Been meaning to head back to Japan." McCree said as he tip his hat and was about to light his cigar when Mercy took it out of his mouth.

"We have talked about this, Jesse." Angela said as she dropped it on the table with a displeased look. "When will we be leaving?"

"We'll leave tomorrow. Give everyone the chance to prepare and get some rest before heading out." Winston responded. Everyone nodded in agreement. "If that's everything then you're all dismissed." With the meeting over, everyone began filling out of the room, thinking about what they may face in the Japan the next day, expect Tracer until a hand on her shoulder brought her out of her thoughts. Expecting to see Mercy or Ana, she was surprised to see Soldier: 76 stand there.

"Don't worry, we'll get some answers and find him." With a nod, she got up and headed off to prepare what she needed.

Kyoto, Japan, a day later

Macen let out a sigh looked over reports from their observers. He had read this same report twice now but still he couldn't get himself to focus on it as his mind drifted to the message he had sent a few days ago. He knew exactly who that message was sent to and he was still skeptical about how trustworthy they were or if they were even going to show since he wasn't Ghost.

"Sir, he's awake." One of the defectors they rescued reported.

"Thanks, I'll be right over." Macen got up with another sigh and followed the defector to another room. In the room was James, who was stripped of his armor and equipment and left shirtless, exposing his bandaged and scarred body as he sat the bed. "How are you feeling?"

"Like hell." He replied roughly. "What did I miss?" Macen waited for James to finish his swig from the water bottle next to him before starting.

"You've been out cold for a few days. I contacted Overwatch about some intel I was going over involving Hanzo Shimada but I don't know if they'll show since I was the one that contacted that and not you." Macen said as he handed James a clipboard with a more detailed report of the situation. "Other than that, we've been keeping an ear to the ground and laying low.

"Fucking hell. Alright so Talon's going after Hanzo and we're on our own." James said after considering their options. "Are we taking action to deny Talon their prize?"

"Yeah, that's why we're in Japan. We have someone searching for him on the ground and another person looking out for Talon's retrieval teams." This got James' attention as the last place he remembered being was Alaska.

"Guess we better get out there. Got our work cut out for us." James said, grabbing the shirt left for him from the end table, groaning softly as he moved his sore and injured body.

"Oh no, you're not going. You're lucky to be alive. The force of that explosion alone almost ruptured several of your organs, including you heart, and that's not even mentioning the other injuries you got while doing the job. If something happens to you, we don't even have the medical equipment to keep you alive and not only that but the rest of us get left leaderless. We all went through that once. Not again." Macen said sternly.

"Good thing I have still have these then." James said as he took out a small tin, revealing the contents to be two of Ana's darts that he kept on him in case of emergencies, and injected himself with them, taking in a sharp inhale of air as the healing solution run its course in his body from each, healing his bruised body and damaged organs. Feeling better, James slipped on his shirt and began looking for his armor and equipment.

"Son of a bitch. Jay, come on. You can't be serious."

"Mac, you and the rest of the group just got out of Talon. We can't let Talon know about defectors otherwise they'll crackdown on their members and make getting in even harder than it already is. More importantly, I'm not going to have you and the others risk yourselves while I sit here on my ass, twiddling my thumbs. Not while I can move and act." James said as he searched the room.

"And you can't keep playing the hero!" Macen shouted back causing James to stop for a moment and go silent. "I know what you tried to do. We had this planned out perfectly but you making last second changes because of your conscience isn't something we can account for. Releasing those prisoners almost got you killed and their lives aren't worth yours." James stood there quietly, listening to Macen. "We're Blackwatch, James. We don't get to be the heroes. We do the dirty work no one else wants to." Macen said with an exhausted sigh.

"Yeah, you're right. We aren't the heroes." James said as he ran his hand through his short hair before looking at Macen with an almost sad half smile. "But it doesn't mean we shouldn't try once in awhile."

"I hate you, you know that." Macen said. Neither knew if he meant it or not. "You better know what your doing. Come on." James looked at him for a moment as he left and followed him out into another room. In this room, there were boxes of different varieties filling the room, ranging from ammo boxes to generic wooden boxes stack on top of each other. Opening up a sealed military case, Macen pulled out a hooded jacket, pants, and a tactical vest from another box and put them on top before taking boots out and putting them on top of the pieces of apparel.

"Is that...?" James trailed off after seeing a very familiar hexagonal pattern on the jacket and pants.

"Yeah. Turns out that Talon's been experimenting with stealth tech also. Even got their hands on the same source material that your father did."

"So now we have cloaked Talon agents to worry about. Great." James remarked sarcastically. "So I'm assuming there's going to be cloaked operatives roaming around now?"

"Unlikely. This is the final prototype. The finished product and the data went up in flames when you blew the research facility. We were lucky this one survived. One of the researchers grabbed it with them because he had worked on the project and didn't want his work to go in smoke."

"Why show it to me then?" James asked questioningly.

"When we found you, you and your gear were in a bad shape. We used up most of medical supplies trying to stabilize you and we don't have necessary equipment to repair your gear here. In the condition it's in now, the stealth field can barely cover your torso with the amount of damage it sustained." Macen explained.

"So this is is my temporary gear, got it." James nodded, understanding where he was going with this. Taking a step, he was stopped when Macen put a gloved hand to his chest.

"On one condition."

"Aren't I your commanding officer? Since when did you get to order me around?" James said with a slight smile but it quickly went away once he saw how serious Macen was about this. "Fine, what is it?"

"Whenever you decide to take this seriously and you're done playing hero, this is becomes your new uniform, not some backup for your armor gets busted up. You can wear your father's armor as much as you like when your working with Overwatch but when your with us, with what's left of this organization your father created, you wear this." Macen said. "Deal?" James stopped an thought about it for a moment. He should have seen this coming but at the same time, it was something that would inevitably happen. After another minute of silence, he let out a sigh.

"Deal." James finally said. With that, Macen put his arm down and let James finally pass. "You know, if you weren't such a good spy and my friend, I would have had you shot for insubordination."

"We're friends?" Macen said with a smirk before patting him on the shoulder. "I'll leave you to get ready." Leaving him alone, James wasted no time to get the gear on. After a few minutes of putting on the clothes and strapping on the vest and boots, James felt incomplete in his new armor and did his best to rectify that with what he had on hand. Going through the boxes in the room, he end up adding knee and elbow pads, a drop leg holster on his right leg, pouches for the vest, padded gloves, and a combat knife sheath but he still felt like something was missing. It was at that moment that he heard the door open.

"Everything going alright in here?" Macen asked as he took a look at the young man in front of him. Giving him the once over, he nodded in approval. "Looking good. Nice job making use of the spare gear we have here but I think your missing something." He said as he walked up to him and held something out for him. Looking at it, James realized it was a mask. The mask was a gas mask with a single filter on the front and had two round lens with thin bars going diagonally over them. The lens themselves looked tinted with nothing showing of any importance. "One last thing." Macen reached into his pocket and took out a device that looked almost like a smartphone before handing it to him while James put on the mask. "Connect this to your inner wrist."

"An OPSAT?" Doing as he was told, James connected the device and with the device connected, the lens of the mask lit up a cool blue as familiar tactical information began appearing before his eyes. However, it lack any of the customization that he included in his own HUD. " Huh, nice. What happened to my one?"

"Like I said, most of your gear was in bad shape. You're tac-pad was damaged and we currently have the more technically inclined people working on it to recover the data inside. If anything, we're hoping to at least get your commo data so we can contact Overwatch again. Haven't been able to do so since we last messaged them. That OPSAT is has been optimized to work similar to your normal one. Cloaking and most of the major functions should be the same and we didn't see any bugs when we were testing it." James, now fully in back his identity of Ghost, just sighed and took in the filtered air.

"Let's get show on the road." Walking into the main room, everyone shifted their attention and looked at Ghost as he enter. The room had a single table off to the side with several people sitting around it, all of them with laptops in front of them. The other side of the room had a fairly large TV set up with the news play while the people in front of it checked over and cleaned gear, only stopping to look at him. "What do we got?" Ghost said, assuming command of the small operation, getting everyone back in action.

"Last known positive sightings of Hanzo were in Hanamura at the Shimada castle but Talon's network got a ping here in the Kyoto. After that, nothing. We're going through CCTV feeds and running facial recognition trying to narrow down a location." Someone called out. "We got a few pings but we think this is the closest one. This one is from about 2 hours ago." Someone else said. Ghost walked over and the person turned the screen toward to him as he continued talking. On it was a picture of a man standing in the crowd. He had an undercut and had a few piercings. His outfit was a dark jacket with a yellow layer underneath, archery gloves, and blue pants that were tucked into his shoes with a blue single sling bag with a lidded container in his bag and a bow slung across his back.

"That's our man. I'll head out and start tracking him. Location?"

"Not far from the palace. We'll keep an eye out through the cameras and keep you updated if we find anything." Macen said from across the room.

"Got it." Ghost said as he started heading over to find the remainder of his gear when Macen stopped him and handed him a suppressed carbine with the same pattern as his pulse rifle as well as a sidearm designed the same way. The rifle itself was reminiscent of an old XM8 rifle from the late 20th and early 21st century.

"We're still fixing your weapons so you'll have to use this instead. It's ballistic based but it should work with your cloaking tech but this is its first field test so keep us informed on results." Macen explained as he pointed to the ammo box for Ghost. "Good luck out there. I'll keep an eye on things here and relay information as it comes in." Ghost nodded and started storing the ammo. "And try to remember, this is a Blackwatch op. Try to treat it like one." Once fully stocked, Ghost immediately headed out and started running for Hanzo's last know position.

It didn't take long for him to run to Hanzo's last known position. From what he could see, the place was pack with both residents and tourist alike as they made their way down the streets, going to and from the old palace. Keep hidden, he moved from alleyway to alleyway as silently as he could.

"Ghost, be advised, lookouts say they picked up some suspicious individuals wandering through town near your location."

"Description."

"Four guys, One of them in a leather jacket, sunglasses, jeans. Stereotypical undercover bad guy get up, looks like he's from out of country too. The rest are in suits and sunglasses but they seem to be locals. Their most likely packing heat under their jackets so exercise caution."

"Copy." Ghost said as he watch a group with that exact description walk into the alleyway he was in and start talking. "I see them. Let's see what their up to." Cloaking, Ghost moved carefully to get closer to them.

"What are we doing? We need to be in position in case that meeting doesn't go our way." The man in the leather jacket said.

"We will be there momentarily. However, we have reason to believe we are being followed." One of the men in the suits said. His accent confirmed he was from the area.

"Huh? What are you talking about?" The man asked but before he could get answer. The sound of a can clattering away caught their attention, causing all of them to whip around with their weapons drawn, the three men in suits drawing handguns while the one in the leather jacket had a small compact submachine gun. "What was that?"

"It seems I was right." The Japanese man said before looking to his two subordinates and saying something to them in Japanese which Ghost was able to make to be something along the lines of 'Go check it out.' As the two moved forward, the one who in charge of the three suddenly felt something impact his throat, causing him to choke and fall to his knees while the one in the leather jacket felt his legs get swept out from underneath him and soon found himself face first into the concrete, his sunglasses cracked. The other two quickly turned around to see what had happened only to be dropped by a quick burst of gunfire. The man who was choking looked up at Ghost as he turned to him and kicked him in the head, sending him spiraling into the concrete while the foreigner in the group was lifted to his feet and slammed into the wall.

"I'm going to ask you a series of questions and you're going to answer them if you wanna walk away from this alive. Who do you work for?" Ghost asked, keeping his forearm against his throat. Internally, Ghost winced slightly as his voice was harsher than normal in this set up.

"Go fuck yourse-ACK!"

"Wrong answer." Ghost said, putting pressure against his throat and kneeing the man in the groin before shoving him back against the wall with his arm and pressing his pistol against his stomach. "You have one more chance to tell me what I want to know before I put a bullet in your gut and leave you to die in pile of your own shit."

"Fuck. Talon, I work with Talon." The man choked out.

"Why? What's Talon doing here?"

"We were sent here to capture Hanzo Shimada."

"Why?" Ghost asked, this time shoving the pistol's suppressor hard into the man's forehead, leaving a mark on his head.

"Something about him making a great asset. I don't know. I'm just here to capture him if things don't go our way. They didn't tell me anything else. He must have did something to catch the higher ups' attention." The man said, trying to catch his breath despite the pressure on his throat. As Ghost stared the man down, he noticed that his eyes weren't focus on him, rather something over this shoulder. Hearing a subtle click, Ghost dove to the side as several gunshots rang out from behind him. While most of the shot went wild, some them ended up hitting and killing the man he was questioning. Turning back, he saw the man he had thought he had knocked out earlier shakily try to get to his feet and get away. However as Ghost got up as well and started moving toward him, the local man tried to flee, only to trip on the body of one of his subordinates before he could get far.

Turning back to his pursuer, he quickly took aim the man and fired until the gun clicked. Much to his dismay, the bullets didn't seem to affect or phase his pursuer as he closed the gap. He could only scream as he watched Ghost close the last few feet between them, his expressionless gas mask staring down at him as Ghost's hand reached down to grab him.

"Let's see what you know."

Kyoto, else where

Standing outside of building was the archer that everyone sought. When he was called here, he knew that whoever did it most likely didn't have his best intentions in mind so he took the liberty of arriving early to survey the area and the building. Besides some snipers, who he dispatched with ease, he didn't see anyone else waiting for him by the building. Entering the building with caution, he looked around the traditional styling of the interior as a woman in traditional dress approached him.

"Shimada Hanzo?" She asked. He nodded in the affirmative and she gestured him in. "Right this way." Following the woman, she lead him to an near empty room with a table set in the middle. From what he could see there was only one other entrance to the room that was directly ahead of them that had a corner but there were overhead balconies that he was suspicious of. More entrances meant more places people could come from if he were attacked. Frowning, he sat at the table and a woman approached him again. "May I get you something?"

"No." Hanzo said before looking up at her. "Why have I been summoned here?" The woman didn't respond but instead just bowed and walked away, deepening Hanzo's frown. He look at the table that been set for a meal of some kind as there were two plates placed there. One for him and two on the other side for whoever had called him here.

"Mr. Shimada." A voice echoed in the empty room. Looking up, he saw a man in formal dress walking up to the table and a woman with blue skin and a short dress. Hanzo narrowed his eyes. The man he didn't recognize but could immediately tell that he was meant to negotiate with him. The woman, however, he recognized. She would be problem if things came to blows. Thankfully, he didn't see her rifle anywhere yet he couldn't help but stay on guard. "Thank you for meeting with us."

"Why have I been called here?"

"Straight to the point I see." The man still had the same friendly grin he had when he walked in as he raised his hand and the woman brought him a drink. "Now my employers have been keeping an eye on you and your family for awhile. Before your family was wrongfully removed from power, we sought to form a partnership with your father who turned us down but after his death and your leave of absence, your elders were wise enough to see what we could offered and accepted. Talon now makes you the same offer. To renew the relationship your family and our organization once held."

"And why would I align myself with likes of you?" Hanzo asked. The venom and disgust in his voice was not lost to the other two.

"Simple. You have nowhere to go. You have no friends, no money, no one to support you. Talon can give you all of that and more. Money, power, influence. You name it." The man took a sip of his drink.

"Talon can restore your family's empire." The woman said. Her french accent caught his attention but he turned his thoughts inward as he momentarily considered the offer. If he was a lesser man, he would have accepted. To rule the empire he forefathers had left him. To reclaim his birthright. Yet he knew he couldn't. There was a reason he left it all behind and he knew the deal was too good to be true.

"But at what cost?" Hanzo said. "I remember your masters. The offer they made to my father would have spelled the end for the Shimada clan and he rightfully rejected it. The elders were fools for accepting an offer from the likes of you."

"I see." The man sighed. "I'm sorry you feel that way. Please enjoy a meal and a drink or two. Talon has already paid for everything so feel free to order anything you'd like. If you'll excuse me, however, I must let my superiors know that you've rejected their offer. Amelie, dear, please keep our guest company." The man got up and started walking away, drink in one and his other fishing out his phone.

"Talon will not like that you've rejected them." Amelie said after a few moments of silence.

"I do not care for what your masters feels. I will not have the Shimada clan become pawns for Talon."

"They will not take this lightly." Amelie replied, taking one last sip of her wine.

"They would be fools to challenge the dragon." Hanzo said. In an instant, a flash of steel lunged forward and Hanzo deflected the attempted attack to the side. Grabbing her wrist, he slammed it in to the table and pinned the knife to the table with a fork before kicking the chair out from underneath her, causing her to temporary lose balance. "A lesson you will soon learn." As she rose back up, she had in her hand a handgun and started firing leading to Hanzo throwing himself to the side to avoid harm and to draw his bow. As he did, he notice that the gun was unusually quite as it fired.

As Amelie loaded in a new magazine, a door burst open from the balcony above. For a moment, Hanzo thought they were here for him and readied an arrow but was immediately proven wrong when the gunman started firing upon Amelie, hitting the gun out of her hand and forcing her to roll off the table and knock it over as cover. seeing his opportunity, Hanzo was about to get ready to run for it but as he did, he saw a group of armed men coming down the hall and start firing at him. Swapping arrows, Hanzo aimed low and let the arrow loose. As it hit the ground, it burst into smaller fragments that scattered in to the group of men, killing or injuring almost all of them.

"Up here! There's more coming!" The gunman yelled as he slid a new magazine into his rifle. In that time, Amelie took off and ran for the corridor that the armed men were. As she got there, a familiar ping got her attention and she quickly grabbed a body put it between her and the noise. As the explosion went off, she was sent off her feet and left dazed for the moment. Seeing no other option, Hanzo quickly ran to the other side of the room and scaled the wall with ease to the gunman's position. As he got up there, he took his bow out again and nocked an arrow. With a twist of the bow string, he let it loose and watched as it traveled on a curved path into the other hallway, sending out a sonar ping as it hit and revealing more people coming. Readying another scatter arrow, Hanzo aimed it at the corner and let it loose. As it scattered in the hallway, the pained yells of those it killed and injured echoed out of the hallway. "Let's get out of here." The man said as he took out another grenade and lobbed it toward the entrance of a hallway before running out the door he came through.

Seeing no other choice, Hanzo followed the mystery man out the door and into a hallway. As he entered the hallway, he saw the gunman bash his rifle into a Talon soldier's helmet before turning around and dropping to a knee and firing toward him. For a moment, Hanzo thought he had been betrayed but heard a thud and clatter behind him and when he turned around, he saw a dead Talon grunt on the ground. Looking back at the gunman, the man just nodded and kept moving forward until he reached a stairwell and fired a burst as he ran by. Running and catching up, he followed the gunman down the stairs and to a door at the end of the hallway which opened to an alleyway.

Now outside, the gunman pushed a dumpster in front of the door to delay pursuit and ran down the alley. Still following, Hanzo waited until he knew they were in the clear before acting. Once they reacted a rooftop, he knew this was his time. Sticking an arrow on a ventilation box nearby, he watched as the man watched over the path they took to make sure no one was following. Seeing no one, he rose to his feet.

"Alright, we're clear." The man said with a sigh of relief. "It'll take them a little bit to track us down and by then we'll be long gone." He stopped at the sound of bowstring being drawn. "Thought this rescue was too easy." he muttered under his breath.

"Who do you serve?" Hanzo questioned.

"No one you need to work about." The man said but his weapons on the ground. "I heard Talon was after you and I couldn't let them get their hands on you."

"And why's that? Do your master wish to try to exploits the Shimada name?!"

"I have no intention of using the Shimada name to do anything. Don't get the wrong idea, I don't care for the Shimada clan. Personally, I think Japan's better off without them, especially after what they became after you left." The man shrugged.

"You dare speak ill of the Shimada name!" Hanzo said pulling the arrow just a bit further.

"The Shimada clan became corrupt and evil after your father died and you left. If you want to be angry at anyone, be angry at the elders that took over your clan and brought dishonor on your name." The man snapped back. "You claim you're trying to restore your honor but you've done nothing but kill and the mock those beneath you." He knew of Hanzo's history and what he sought. Nevertheless, it still frustrated bow man.

"You dare lecture me on honor. A mercenary like you knows nothing of honor." Hanzo said as he let the arrow loose. The man dodge out of the way and disappeared from sight. However, whatever surprise Hanzo had suffered quickly went away as dodged his head and grabbed the air in front of his him and tossed it over his shoulder, slamming it into the ground in front of him with a enough force to make a grown man bounce a foot off the ground, a loud crack sounding out as well as a shattering noise as the man reappeared. Nocking and shoot a few more arrows, the gunman rolled out of the way just barely and swept Hanzo's legs out from under him.

As the two rolled away from one another, they both stood at the same time, facing one another. One with a sidearm, the other with a bow, aimed directly at each other.

"Let's not do anything we'll regret." The man said. "I'm not here to fight you. I'm trying to help you."

"What help can someone like you offer me?"

"Redemption."

And that's a wrap. Thank you soon much for waiting this long for this chapter. Damn near a year. I have no excuse for this. I'm just easily distracted by everything and playing video games. (I beat both Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age 2 in a little less than a week so that's some indicator of how my winter break is going.) I really am sorry it took this long but hey, Merry Late Christmas/New Year?

Anyway, so what did you think of this chapter? Like it? Hate it? Somewhere in between? Let me know with a comment/review or shoot me a PM if that's more your style.

Thanks again and as always, have a great day.
