What's up, guys? 087-B here once again for another chapter of my second most popular fanfic by far… you guys seriously love this! The popularity of this is just behind The Walking Dead: Season One and a Half, which is my most popular by far!
Fun Fact!: Originally, I wrote this story on my really old iPod, entitled Pokemon Falls, focusing on Dipper, Mabel, and Soos with Unova starters going through Unova. Now, I reworked it, reedited it, and now it's this… somewhat masterpiece!
Today's Sponsors!: An epic story entitled The Heart Seeking Redemption: Birth By Sleep, was written by my good friend gamelover41592! Go check it out, it's great!
Some cool stories where also written by my new friend, Ghostdog 2.5! These stories include Pokemon Fire Ed, Ed Stars, and Pirates of the Cul-De-Sac! Check them out, they're well written!
That is all for today's sponsors! Send a private message and maybe I'll sponsor you and your stories! Not every chapter will have sponsors though. Just a few. This one and the next will have sponsors, and I'll only sponsor 1-3 authors per chapter! No overloads, people!
Now, on with the show!
Chapter 14: Team Alterations & A Shadowy Threat
Dipper and Soos stepped out of the Pokemon Center, crumbs resting around their mouths and sleeping looking eyes, showing they had just gotten up from a long sleep and stuffed themselves with food. They stumbled around like they were drunken lots before regaining their senses.
"Oh man, that food was good." Dipper said before yawning.
"You said it, dude." Soos commented.
Dipper looked up at the sky and covered his eyes with his arm to block out the sun. Although Sinnoh was the coldest region, Eterna City was one of the warmer cities. He looked down at his wrist watch. It read 8:38 AM.
"Hey, Soos. It's been about six hours." Dipper said. "What do you say we go and check out that honey tree and see if any Pokemon appeared there?" He rubbed his eyes a little, clearly showing lack of sleep. Soos also rubbed his eyes and blinked a bit, trying to un-blur his vision.
"Yeah, sure." Soos replied. They both exited the city and headed out towards the tree.
Upon reaching the tree, they were greeted with the sight of thick, golden honey being licked by some new Pokemon. One of the Pokemon licking the tree looked like a golden triple hexagon with wings and a smiley face on each hexagon, looking kind of like a bee. The next Pokemon looked like a little blue bear with a yellow spot on its stomach and a yellow chin. The third Pokemon was a green bush like Pokemon with two little twigs for legs and a black stem. Immediately, Dipper pulled out his Pokedex and activated it, then pointed it at the honeycomb Pokemon.
Combee, the Tiny Bee Pokemon
Bug/Flying Type
Ability: Honey Gather
The trio is together from birth. It constantly gathers honey from flowers to please Vespiquen.
"I'm going after this one." Dipper pulled out a Pokeball and tossed it out, revealing Starly, stars bursting from it. As Dipper began battling the Combee, Soos pulled out his Pokedex and activated it, pointing it at the blue bear looking Pokemon.
Munchlax, the Big Eater Pokemon
Normal Type
Ability: Pickup
In its desperation to gulp down food, it forgets about the food it has hidden under its fur.
"Heh heh, this dude is awesome!" Soos pulled out a Pokeball of his own and tossed it, revealing Shinx. Now, he began his battle against the wild Munchlax.
"Go!" Dipper threw a Pokeball at the wild Combee as it was transported inside. The ball shook multiple times, vibrating. Then, it made a clicking sound and bounced a little, indicating that the Pokemon had been successfully caught. Dipper recalled Starly and picked up the Pokeball containing his newly caught Combee.
'A new teammate. Feels like forever since I caught a Pokemon.' Dipper thought as he put both of his Pokeballs away and looked over at Soos, who was holding a new Pokeball containing his newly caught Munchlax. Soos put both Shinx's and Munchlax's Pokeballs away, and the two looked over at the bush like Pokemon.
"You know, it's weird." Dipper began. "Usually Mabel would be here, ready to catch the remaining Pokemon."
"Yeah, you're right, dude." Soos replied. He looked around before noticing Mabel's Grotle and Bibarel running rapidly through Eterna City in a hurry. Without hesitation, Soos grabbed Dipper and ran toward the Pokemon. The bush Pokemon noticed and decided to follow.
-{Mabel's Mind}-
Mabel's eyes shot open as she got up and looked around. Her surroundings were of a small island type area. She was on a little wooden dock, and behind her was an abandoned cruise ship, and a small one at that. The island seemed to be in the shape of a moon, as a sign nearby showed a worn out picture of the island from a satellites point of view.
"What the hey hey is this place?" Mabel, confused and curious as usual, pressed forward, walking up a set of stairs to a small grassy area. The island was silent, with no noise coming from the water even. The water was calm… too calm. No Pokemon were around in the water, the grass, the skies, the trees, nowhere.
Mabel felt completely isolated. Completely… alone.
She got a saddened look in her eyes as the small breeze blew through her hair. She turned around to see a small alcove in the trees, and a shadow that appeared to be watching her vanished in a split second into the grove. Mabel dared not follow that shadow, but her legs pushed her forward, telling her to keep moving. Without hesitation, or much choice, Mabel calmly walked over to the alcove and crawled inside.
Upon exiting the alcove, she was in a small caved in crater made of dirt and gravel and rock, with a few boulders here and there and a few puddles. Trees were also around her in the upper areas but the leaves were so close and so thick that only a little bit of sunlight got inside. Then she saw it.
A strange looking… thing, completely colored black and gray with one blue visible eye, two shadowy arms, no legs or feet, a red scarf looking piece around the neck of it, and a white, misty type hair blew in the window along with black shadows on the back of its elbows, and a little black tail that was very stiff with two tiny spikes on the side of the tip of the tail.
Mabel uneasily took a step back, reaching for her Pokedex to see if these was a Pokemon, but her Pokedex wasn't there. Nothing she had was there. No Pokeballs, no backpack, no Pokedex, none of her Pokemon either. She was completely isolated except for this thing.
She turned to exit through the alcove, but it was no longer there, instead replaced by another thicket of trees. Nervously turning back around to face the figure, Mabel began sweating a little. She was utterly terrified, but mostly confused at what the heck was going on. Then, when she least expected it, the shadow lunged at her. She was grabbed before she could get away, and dragged into the darkness. Then a voice spoke to her from nowhere.
"Beware Darkrai…"
-{Dipper and Soos}-
Dipper and Soos were back at the Pokemon Center with Mabel's Pokemon, who were utterly terrified at what they had just witnessed. Internally, both Grotle and Bibarel felt very bad about themselves, as they had just left their own trainer behind…
"What happened to you guys?" Dipper questioned the Pokemon. "Can you show us where Mabel is?" The Pokemon nervously got up and gestured for Dipper and Soos to follow them.
Exiting the Pokemon Center, Grotle and Bibarel walked forward to the southern exit of the city, and upon reaching there, they stopped in front of the boarded up house. Dipper and Soos looked at the house. The door was boarded up and the windows were replaced with cracked rock plates and rusted steel. Dipper walked over to the door and tried prying the boards off with his hands, but to no avail.
"You guys must be pulling a prank." Dipper said. "Mabel can't be in here, it's a condemned building." The Pokemon got wide eyed as they tried to beg for their help again. Dipper chuckled. "You can run on back to Mabel. Come on Soos, let's go train or Pokemon and get ready for the upcoming gym battle."
"You got it." Soos began following Dipper back to the Pokemon Center, leaving Grotle and Bibarel behind, not realizing that Mabel was in grave danger, and the little bush Pokemon was following them.
-(End Of Chapter)-
So what did you guys think? Again, sorry for the short chapter, but I've been pressed for time. Next chapter will not have sponsors, and if you want a sponsor, instead send me a note. Sponsors will come rarely, as I will NOT do them often. Another 40 chapters or so and you'll see another sponsor. Also, I'm dropping the idea of doing rosters. I'll do about one last roster when we get to the Pokemon League, but for now, no team rosters. Get those memory's of yours working!
Anyways, the plot changing around is making it hard for me to work with what already exists as the plot but I can fix everything up. I hope you enjoyed this chapter, reviews are appreciated, and as always…
Stay Tuned!
