Hey guys, 087-B here with another chapter of Gravity Falls: Sinnoh Adventure! In the last chapter, Soos and Mabel explored Hearthome City. Soos and Deuce battled, and Mabel watched a Super Contest where she saw Candy, Grenda, and Lazy Susan compete against Pacifica. In this chapter…well, this chapter is a special one. Why? It's the Season Finale of Season 2! Not every season will be 10 chapters long, some will be longer and a few will be shorter. But that's beside the point.
Like I've stated at the end of the last chapter, Dipper will not be appearing in this chapter mainly due to Mabel and Soos needing some time in the spotlight. This chapter might be pretty long because I have a lot of plans for it, but I hope you like it nevertheless.
Now, on with the show!
Chapter 20: End Of An Era!
Mabel and Soos were waiting for a while with no sign of the contestants. They were about to leave when Mabel was pulled into a dual embrace.
"Candy! Grenda!" Mabel exclaimed as she hugged her friends.
"We didn't know you guys would be here!" Grenda said as the three friends stopped hugging.
"Neither did we!" Mabel replied, grinning.
"So is Dipper with you?" Candy asked.
"He's with Wendy and Robbie in Eterna City." Mabel answered. "They'll catch up with us soon."
"Wendy and Robbie are here too?" Grenda asked. Mabel nodded.
"Wow! So many familiar faces are here in Sinnoh!" Candy said. "Is anyone else here?"
"Well there's Dipper, me, Soos, Pacifica, Gideon, Deuce, you two, Wendy, Robbie, and Lazy Susan." Mabel answered. "Speaking of Lazy Susan, where is she?"
"She's still changing out of her dress." Grenda said. "So what Pokemon do you have?"
"How many badges have you gotten?" Candy asked.
"Is Dipper ahead of you?" Grenda asked.
"What did you choose for a starter?" Candy asked.
"Whoa whoa, too many questions!" Mabel said. "I'll answer them one at a time." She took out a Pokeball. "Now this is the starter I chose! Come on out, Grotle!" Mabel tossed the Pokeball and out came Grotle. The two girls marveled at the Pokemon. "I chose Turtwig as my starter, and he evolved into Grotle along the way!"
"Wow, he looks strong!" Grenda said.
"What other Pokemon do you have?" Candy asked. Mabel smiled.
"I'm glad you asked!" She said. She took out two other Pokeballs. She threw one of them and out came Bibarel. Then she threw the second one and out came Mothim. "Meet Bibarel, my first catch, and Mothim, my latest addition!" The two girls marveled at the two Pokemon.
"Wow, that's awesome!" Grenda said.
"Yes, you have great Pokemon!" Candy said.
"So what Pokemon do you two have?" Mabel asked.
"Here's my team!" Grenda took out three Pokeballs and threw them out. Out came Cyndaquil, a Machop, and a green humanoid lizard Pokemon with red and yellow markings on it. Mabel held up her Pokedex to identify the new Pokemon.
Kecleon, the Color Swap Pokemon
Normal Type
Ability: Color Change
It can freely change its body's color. The zigzag patter on its belly doesn't change, however.
"Wow, I've never seen a Kecleon before!" Mabel said.
"My parents imported it from Hoenn for me." Grenda said. "That was after I got my starter, Cyndaquil. The first Pokemon I actually caught was Machop."
"Cool!" Mabel said. "What about you, Candy?"
Candy smiled and pulled out three Pokeballs as well. She threw them, and out came Chikorita, an orange otter-like Pokemon with two branching tails and a yellow ring around its neck with blue fins on its wrists, and a small gray floating spherical-shaped Pokemon with one big eye and two magnets for arms/hands. Mabel pointed her Pokedex in front of the strange new Pokemon before her to identify it.
Magnemite, the Magnet Pokemon
Electric/Steel Type
Ability: Sturdy
The faster the units at its sides rotate, the greater the magnetic force they generate.
"Cool! A Magnemite!" Mabel said. She then held her Pokedex in front of the otter-like Pokemon.
Buizel, the Sea Weasel Pokemon
Water Type
Ability: Swift Swim
It spins its two tails like a screw to propel itself through the water. The tails also slice clinging seaweed.
"Sweet! A Buizel!" Mabel said as she put her Pokedex away.
"Chikorita was my starter, and Buizel was the first Pokemon I ever caught." Candy said. "Magnemite was a gift from someone I met along the way."
"Wow, you two have cool Pokemon!" Mabel said. "How about me and Soos against you two in a double-battle?"
"That sounds like a good idea." Grenda said. "We can see which group is stronger that way!" The three girls returned their Pokemon into their Pokeballs, then they sprinted out of the Contest Hall. Soos simply stayed quiet during the girls' conversation.
"The best way to let friends be friends is to stay out of their conversations." Soos said some words of wisdom to himself.
"Oh hey! It's you!" Soos turned to see Lazy Susan walking up next to him. "I hope the girls have a fine battle. You better get out there, they'll need ya!" Soos smiled and sprinted out of the Contest Hall, Lazy Susan following close behind.

The five of them were now gathered at a road in the city. Lazy Susan was sitting off to the side on a park bench as the two teams were on opposing sides of the road, Grenda and Candy on one side and Mabel and Soos on the other side. They readied their Pokeballs.
"Go Machop!" Grenda threw her Pokeball and out came her Machop.
"Go Magnemite!" Candy threw her Pokeball and out came her Magnemite.
"Go Munchlax!" Soos threw his Pokeball and out came his Munchlax.
"Go Mothim!" Mabel threw her Pokeball and out came her Mothim.
"Machop! Use Low Kick on that Munchlax!" Grenda commanded. Machop dashed towards Munchlax, ready to kick it.
"Dodge it and use Body Slam, Munchlax!" Soos commanded. Munchlax dodged the oncoming attack and then slammed itself into Machop. Machop tumbled over but got back up quickly, brushing off the damage as if nothing happened.
"Magnemite! Use Thunderbolt on Mothim!" Candy commanded. Magnemite shot out a large streak of electricity towards Mothim, which made contact and heavily damaged it, sending it to the ground. By this point, a small crowd of people gathered around them to watch the double Pokemon battle.
"Mothim, just brush it off and use Bug Bite on Magnemite!" Mabel commanded. Mothim weakly got up and darted toward Magnemite and bit hard into it in rapid succession. It wasn't that effective, however, doing little damage.
"Quick, Magnemite! Use Thunderbolt again!" Candy commanded. Magnemite shot out more electricity towards Mothim.
"Mothim! Dodge and use Gust on Machop!" Mabel commanded. Mothim did as told and flew up into the air to avoid the thunderbolt attack, then shot out multiple fast whirlwinds towards Machop, which made contact with it and sent it tumbling back over to Grenda, knocking it out in the process.
"Drat! Nice job, Machop!" Grenda recalled her Machop into its Pokeball, then put it away, taking out a second one in the process. "Go Kecleon!" She threw out the Pokeball and her Kecleon popped out, prepared for battle.
"Mothim! Use Bug Bite on-" Mabel was cut off before she could finish her command.
"Magnemite! Thunderbolt on Mothim!" Candy commanded. Magnemite quickly shot out a streaking thunderbolt towards Mothim, striking it. The move was super effective, dealing massive damage and knocking it out in the process.
"Aw dang it! Great job, Mothim! You did awesome!" Mabel recalled her Mothim into its Pokeball, then took out a second Pokeball and but her first one containing Mothim away. "Go Bibarel!" She threw out her Pokeball and out came her Bibarel.
"Bibarel is part Water-Type, so Magnemite should be able to handle this." Candy said under breath. "Magnemite! Use-" She was cut off as her Magnemite began to glow white, slowly beginning to change shape. They all gasped as Magnemite, after the glowing effect faded, suddenly became three of itself, all three connected in an equilateral triangle formation (Or in English: it evolved from a single Magnemite into three that connected.).
"Whoa…what's THAT Pokemon?" Mabel pulled out her Pokedex to identify the newly evolved Pokemon.
Magneton, the Magnet Pokemon
Electric/Steel Type
Ability: Sturdy
Many mysteriously appear when more sunspots dot the sun. They stop TV sets from displaying properly.
"Magneton, eh?" Mabel said to herself. "This might be a little bit harder than I thought…" She thought for a moment before she had an idea. "Bibarel! Use Rock Smash!" Bibarel's fists glowed a bright white as it jumped into the air. Then it darted downward towards Magneton and smashed its fists into it, sending it slamming to the ground and knocking it out instantly.
"Oh no, Magneton!" Candy recalled her Magneton into its Pokeball. "You did good out there, Magneton." Then she put said Pokeball containing Magneton away and pulled out a second Pokeball. "Go Buizel!" She threw out the Pokeball and out popped Buizel, ready for battle. "Buizel! Use Brine on Munchlax!" Buizel shot out large bursts of water towards Soos' Munchlax.
"Munchlax! Dodge it and use Body Slam on Buizel!" Soos commanded. However, Munchlax wasn't able to dodge the attack in time and took the blow, sending it tumbling over to Soos, knocked out.
"Success!" Candy said, pumping her fist in success.
"Nice job, Munchlax." Soos returned Munchlax into its Pokeball. He put it away and took out another Pokeball. "I haven't used this guy yet, but I'm sure he's strong…" He threw out the Pokeball. "Go Murkrow!" Murkrow popped out of the Pokeball.
"Don't think you're winning yet!" Grenda said. "Kecleon, use Rock Smash on Bibarel!" Kecleon's fists glowed white as it pounced towards Bibarel and struck it, sending it tumbling to the ground. The attack was super effective and it ended up knocking it out.
"Nice job, Bibarel." Mabel recalled her Bibarel into its Pokeball. "You did great out there. You even managed to take down that Magneton." She put away the Pokeball containing Bibarel and took out a third Pokeball, this one containing her final Pokemon. "Go Grotle!" Mabel threw out her Pokeball and out came her Grotle.
"That Grotle will be a threat to Buizel, I better make a move…" Candy said to herself. "Buizel! Use Sonicboom on Grotle!" Buizel jumped into the air as its tails began to glow. It shot out multiple sonic sound waves towards Grotle.
"Dodge it, Grotle! Then use Razor Leaf on Buizel!" Mabel commanded. Grotle jumped out of the way of Buizel's attack and then fired multiple razor-like leaves towards it. The leaves made contact and dealt massive damage to Buizel, sending it to the ground in an unconscious state.
"Nice job, Buizel." Candy recalled her Buizel into its Pokeball. She put it away and took out her third and final Pokeball. "Go Chikorita!" Candy threw out the Pokeball and out came her Chikorita, her starter Pokemon. "Chikorita, use Razor Leaf on Murkrow!" Chikorita shot out multiple razor-like leaves towards Murkrow.
"Murkrow! Dodge the attack and use Wing Attack on Chikorita!" Soos commanded. Murkrow flew upward to avoid the attack, then darted towards Chikorita, its wings extended and glowing white. The attack made contact with Chikorita and knocked it down to the ground, dealing massive damage.
"Kecleon, use Thunder Punch on Murkrow!" Grenda commanded. Kecleon made a fist. Said fist began to glow yellow and emit electricity. It lunged towards Murkrow and struck it with its electrified fist, dealing massive damage and sending Murkrow to the ground, knocked out.
"Good job out there, Murkrow." Soos said, recalling his Murkrow into its Pokeball. "You may not have taken anything out, but you still did good." He put the Pokeball containing Murkrow away, then took out a third Pokeball. "I won't be using Luxio this battle…" Soos threw out the Pokeball. "Go Prinplup!" Prinplup popped out of the Pokeball.
"Kecleon! Use Thunder Punch on Prinplup!" Grenda commanded. Kecleon preformed the attack once more, lunging towards Prinplup with an electrified glowing fist.
"Dodge it, Prinplup! Then use Metal Claw on Kecleon!" Soos commanded. Prinplup darted out of the way of the attack, then its fins began to turn into some form of metal. It lunged towards Kecleon and struck it with its now metallic fins and struck it. Because of the raised attack power, Kecleon suffered massive damage and was sent tumbling to the ground, knocked out.
"Nice job out there, Kecleon." Grenda said, recalling her fainted Kecleon into its Pokeball. She put the Pokeball away and took out her third and final Pokeball. "Go Cyndaquil!" She threw out the Pokeball and out came Cyndaquil, her starter Pokemon.
"Grotle! Use Bite on Chikorita!" Mabel commanded. Grotle lunged towards Chikorita, ready to bite it.
"Chikorita, intercept the attack with Take Down!" Candy commanded. Chikorita sprinted forward toward Grotle, ready to ram into it.
"Prinplup, use Bubblebeam on Cyndaquil!" Soos commanded. Prinplup shot many fast moving bubbles out of its beak, all of them heading towards Cyndaquil. Grenda decided not to attack, but rather use the situation to her advantage.
"Cyndaquil! Use Smokescreen to blind the opponents!" She commanded. Her Cyndaquil shot out a giant ball of smoke, which exploded and cause the surrounding area to become shrouded in thick, black smoke. The trainers coughed as the Pokemon could be heard within the smoke, each of them being struck by the others attack. When the smoke cleared, Cyndaquil, Grotle, and Chikorita were knocked out, with Prinplup being the last one standing. Candy and Grenda sighed as they returned their Pokemon into their Pokeballs, while Mabel and Soos smirked as they returned their Pokemon into their Pokeballs.
"Well, you two win." Candy said.
"You guys are strong!" Grenda said, giving the thumbs up to Mabel and Soos.
"You guys aren't too shabby yourselves." Mabel said. "What should we do now?"
"Well, first, we should heal." Candy said. "But after that, how about we go to the Amity Square and relax?"
"That sounds great!" Mabel agreed. The three girls sprinted off toward the Pokemon Center. Soos was about to follow when Lazy Susan stopped him.
"Don't." She said. "Just let the girls have their fun." She began to walk off before turning to Soos. "Meanwhile, you can tell me about your adventure!"

After healing, the three girls had dashed off toward the Amity Square entrance. Upon entering, Mabel brought out her Grotle, Candy brought out her Chikorita, and Grenda brought out her Cyndaquil. The girls sat on a bench that was in front of a fountain. The bench rested against a large dirt and stone cliff-wall. Grotle was asleep near Mabel while Chikorita and Cyndaquil were playing around in the flowers.
"I wonder if there are other familiar faces we may see around Sinnoh." Candy said. "It is great that we have found each other, no?"
"I think it's awesome!" Grenda said. "Finally us girls are together again!" Mabel was deep in thought, and the girls took notice.
"What are you thinking about, Mabel?" Candy asked.
"Huh? Oh, nothing." Mabel said, reentering reality after leaving her thoughts. "It's just…I feel like our adventures are really taking off here."
"What do you mean by that?" Grenda asked.
"Well, when me, Dipper, and Soos first came here to Sinnoh, we thought it would be a normal Pokemon journey, but now with Team Galactic and all of these other problems, we may have a harder time in Sinnoh than I thought." Mabel said. "All I'm saying is, so far, Hearthome City might just be the city that restarts my adventure, the city that makes everything feel normal again."
"I have heard of these Team Galactic people." Candy said, adjusting her glasses. "From what I have heard, they have not hit or attacked anything in Hearthome City."
"They haven't hit anything in Solaceon Town either." Grenda said, holding a map she had pulled out of her backpack.
"Solaceon Town? Where's that?" Mabel asked.
"It is a town a little ways North from Hearthome City." Candy answered. "It is a small town but it is quite peaceful and lovely, from what I have heard."
"Well then let's hope Sinnoh can still be saved from Team Galactic." Mabel said. "They've already blown up the Valley Windworks and set fire to Floaroma Town, as well as set up a base in Eterna City." Candy and Grenda gasped.
"Whoa, they did those things?!" Grenda asked in shock. Mabel nodded.
"Yeah, they did." She answered. "Dipper, me, Soos, Wendy, Robbie, Gideon, Deuce, and Pacifica all helped to put out the Floaroma Town fire, but we couldn't save the Valley Windworks. Then me and Soos took down the Eterna City Galactic Building."
"Well, at least two problems have been dealt with." Candy said.
"Yeah, that's a good thing." Mabel said. "The only problem is that we don't know where Team Galactic's real HQ is."
"Well, we can find it together." Grenda said. She put her left hand out. Candy placed her left hand on Grenda's, then Mabel placed her left hand on Candy's.
"We cannot go after Team Galactic yet, however." Candy said. Grenda and Mabel stared at her with confused expressions.
"Why not?" Grenda asked. Candy smiled.
"We still have to acquire Hearthome City's gym badge!" She said. Mabel and Grenda smiled with her.
"Yeah, that and we have to take a trip to the Pokemon Mansion!" Grenda said.
"Maybe a Pokemon Contest too!" Candy said.
"And going to the Poffin House!" Grenda said.
"We can do all of these things, girls." Mabel said. "But for now, we can just relax." The girls smiled and nodded as they watched the Pokemon frolic and play. They looked so peaceful and relaxed. Then Mabel stood up and stared to the sky before shouting loudly.
"This city is the true beginning of my journey!"

Dipper and Robbie did yet another round of rock-paper-scissors, landing with them both doing paper. They both sighed again and turned to face the Shiny Rotom before them, glaring at it. After a long argument an hour earlier, the two had begun to play rock-paper-scissors in attempt to win the Shiny Rotom for themselves. So far, however, neither of them were having any luck winning. Each time they played, they always somehow managed to tie.
"You know what? Forget this!" Robbie quickly pulled out a Great Ball.
"Oh no you don't!" Dipper quickly pulled out a Pokeball as well.
Dipper threw his Pokeball and Robbie threw his Great Ball at the same time. They went flying toward the Shiny Rotom. Quick, faint footsteps were heard going up stairs and down the hall. Then it happened. A black Pokeball with yellow markings on it, called an Ultra Ball, flew toward the Pokeball and the Great Ball. They all collided and the Pokeball and Great Ball fell to the floor. Dipper and Robbie watched in shock as the Ultra Ball made contact with the Shiny Rotom and it was absorbed inside. The Ultra Ball fell to the ground and shook three times before clicking, indicating the Pokemon was caught. Wendy walked past the two and picked up the Ultra Ball containing the Rotom. Dipper and Robbie were dumbfounded.
"Well that was fun and interesting." Wendy said, acting like nothing happened. "C'mon, there's nothing much to do here, so let's get a move on to Hearthome City." Then she put the Ultra Ball away and left the room. Dipper and Robbie stood there motionless.
"Did she just…?" Robbie began.
"Yes. Yes she did." Dipper finished.

Heh heh, I lied about Dipper not appearing! I simply HAD to put him at the end of this, simply for the sake of that Shiny Rotom being caught by Wendy! He won't appear next chapter, though, so technically I lied about this chapter, but I didn't lie about Dipper not appearing, so…yeah. I mean it this time, he will NOT be appearing next chapter whatsoever.
Anyways, lots of stuff happened this chapter! Mabel and Soos met up with Candy, Grenda, and Lazy Susan. Mabel and Soos teamed up to have a double-battle against Candy and Grenda while Lazy Susan watched, then Mabel, Candy, and Grenda went to relax in Amity Square. Meanwhile, Dipper, Robbie, and Wendy finished up at the Old Chateau with Wendy catching the Shiny Rotom (as you all know by this point). What will happen next?
Oh, and before I forget, I have something special for you guys, something that will appear at the end of some, if not most, chapters, from this point on. Take a look:

This, ladies and gentlemen, is a Caesar Cipher code, created by yours truly. They've appeared at the end of each Gravity Falls episode, so I figured why not include some here? These are meant to be funny and are for comic relief mostly, but this first one is just a piece of info I thought would be cool to share. Can you decode it?
(Quick Note: Magnemite normally evolves into Magneton at Level 30 in the games. Candy's Magneton, however, is Level 20. This makes it an illegally evolved Pokemon [Think Lance's Dragonite from HG/SS during the double battle in the Mahogany Town Rocket Base]. If you guys complain, I don't care, Why? Because I've already done a bunch of illegal crap like give Magikarp Water Gun.)
Also, this chapter ended on Page 150! Talk about a great way for a season to end on a great page milestone (for me anyways).
