Yay! More updates!

So, first, I'd like to say; I've finally received my first flame!

*Crowd starts cheering*

Hold your applause, please!

Anyways, a guest left a review and called my story god awful, with no rhyme or reason to it. So, I have two theories about this: First, the reviewer is just trying to get on my nerves because let's face it; there are tons of assholes on the internet. Second, that person is so jealous of my (totally not) brilliant writing (I use brilliant lightly, since I'm not amazing at it.) that they cannot even find a way to be nice and simply wanted to hate on something they know is better than what they could ever write.

I mean, I'm no writing DaVinci, and this story isn't a literature form of the Mona Lisa, but come on; this story isn't awful. Please, do be kind and leave all flames to yourself, I only accept constructive criticism and/or compliments.

But hey, this flame isn't getting me down. :)

After that shpeel, not much else to say. The chapter name comes from Solaceon Town's English name origin, coming from the word 'solace', which means comfort. The discomfort part comes from a certain...thing outside of Solaceon Town.

In case you hadn't realized, the gang will be getting to Solaceon Town in this chapter...so yeah.

Now, on with the show!

-Chapter 27: Comfort And Discomfort-

By nightfall, the group had arrived in Solaceon Town. The small town still had a sizeable population of 1,500 people. Going East and then North from Hearthome, this town's main attractions were the Day-Care and the Solaceon Ruins, which were East of the town. Going North lead to Veilstone City, though the group wasn't planning on going there just yet.

"So this is Solaceon Town, eh?" Dipper looked around. Everyone else had already settled in and were planning on spending the night in the town. There were no roads, only grass and smooth dirt paths. There existed street lights, however, that lit the town at night, and some people still patrolled the streets.

"Still up to showing me your current team?" Lucas asked, approaching Dipper.

"Huh?" Dipper turned. "Oh, yeah. Totally, but you have to show me your team as well." Dipper suddenly felt the need to idolize the man.

"Of course!" Lucas and Dipper walked towards the Southern exit of the town, a somewhat spacey area. "I'm not going to ask you to battle, because - no offence - but I'd cream you."

"I figured." Dipper shrugged. "I mean, you've probably got a team full of legendaries."

"Well...only one." Lucas rubbed the back of his head. "I have one legendary…"

Dipper's eyes widened before he threw his hat on the ground. "Aw come on!"

"Huh? What's wrong?" Lucas asked in concern.

"Now two people I know have legendaries! First my rival, now the champion!" Dipper angrily huffed, before he sighed. "Sorry, I'm just...a little envious."

"A little is an understatement." Lucas joked, earning a glare from Dipper, making him laugh. "Anyways, show me your team."

"Right." Dipper took out his four Pokeballs and called out his team; Monferno, Staravia, Magikarp, Combee.

"Wow! You've got a nice team-" Lucas stopped. "A shiny Staravia?!"

"It was the first Pokemon I caught in the region, way back as a Starly." Dipper said, smiling proudly. "Lucky find, I bet."

"Very lucky, indeed." Lucas applauded. "Your team is quite balanced, and looks strong and healthy. You must be training them well."

"Thanks." Dipper picked up his hat and put it back on his head. "I can't wait to make them stronger, and maybe one of them will evolve soon."

"But it will be hard. Trust me." Lucas said. "Combee won't evolve if it's male, and Magikarp is very hard to train unless you really put effort into it. The results are amazing, though. Vespiqueen and Gyarados are two very powerful Pokemon."

"What gender is my Combee, then?" Dipper asked. Lucas observed it for a minute or so.

"...definitely female."

Mabel and Soos had gone off South of the town to investigate something they had seen earlier that day on the way to Solaceon. It was a tall tower made up of stone, resting in a small crater near trees by a river.

According to locals, this was called the Lost Tower.

We met with that hiker looking guy, Lucas' accomplice, in Hearthome, and he gave us some Pokemon eggs...why did Lucas ask for them?

Mabel knelt down and set her backpack on the grass, opening the top flap. She stared at the Pokemon Egg that rested inside. She smiled and began to pet it's shell, wondering what could be inside.

The biggest mystery of the Sinnoh region; thinking about all the possibilities! Just what Pokemon will come out?

"Hey, Mabes," Soos began. "You wanna head into this freaky lookin' tower?"

"Uh, yeah, totally." Mabel said over dramatically. "Why else did we come over here if we weren't gonna check it out?" She closed the top flap of her backpack and carefully put it back on.

"Come on, maybe we can catch some sweet new Pokemon!" Soos smiled as he and Mabel ran inside, unbeknownst to the history of this tower.

Speeding off on bikes into the night, Candy and Grenda had done a little research on their Pokemon, and Candy found her Magneton had the ability to evolve if trained around electromagnetic-kinetic energy. Said energy was found in powerful radio waves emitting inside the caverns of the mysterious Mt. Coronet. They hadn't abandoned the team, they let a few of them know they would be back soon, but they didn't tell them why.

They raced through Hearthome City's empty streets, out of the gates and into Route 208. They rode up the smooth stairs that were leg and bike accessible, on the dirt mountain paths, across a bridge, and into the cavern entrance, not a single person seen at all in the night during their small travel.

"Well, here we are; Mt. Coronet!" Grenda smiled as she and Candy parked their bikes against the inner entrance wall of the cave.

"Ah, yes, I can train my Magneton to evolve into an astounding Magnezone!" Candy smiled and took out her Pokeball containing her Magneton, tossing it into the air and revealing the trio of magnetically connected Magnemites.

"I actually found out about an interesting Water-Type Pokemon that I was hoping to catch." Grenda had tied her fishing rod, a Good Rod, to her bike carefully. She untied it and sat by one of the pools of water in the cave, beginning to fish.

Within minutes, she hooked what she wanted.

Travelling through the large amounts of trees on the Western half of Solaceon Town, Wendy and Pacifica found out about the mysterious Solaceon Ruins. Very few people know of the going-ons within the cryptic caverns of the ruins, and of any Pokemon were in there, only some locals and researchers could answer. The two decided to find it and check it out, and see what intrigue they could uncover within.

"Oh, there!" Pacifica exclaimed as she jumped off of a ledge, pointing to a small mountainous structure of rock, with one cave entrance inside of it on ground level, and an exit to it on a higher up peak.

"Those must be the Solaceon Ruins, then." Wendy jumped off of the same small ledge and followed Pacifica towards the cave. "I wonder what's inside…"

"Well, we can't figure that out until we go in." Pacifica started in through the entrance, though Wendy grabbed her arm.

"Hold on, just because we don't know what's in there doesn't mean it's completely safe to just wander around inside." Wendy warned. "We could get lost, separated, or possibly killed in some way."

Pacifica shuddered. "K-Killed...huh."

Wendy stared before laughing. "I'm just joking around! Come on, let's go in!"

Pacifica sighed and followed the redhead inside. Once they were in, they noticed that it was incredibly dark, and not even the moonlight could help them see well. The beginning chamber was very smooth; it was a straightforward, vertical rectangular floor with stairs going down in the top right and left corners and the bottom right corner. On the opposing wall was some kind of message engraved into it.

"I wonder what this says?" Pacifica squinted in the darkness to see the strange letters on the wall.

"Hold on, lemme give it a read…" Wendy walked forward to check the message out. "Hmm…"

"Can you read it?" Pacifica asked.

"Hold on…" Wendy called out her Rotom to shine some light. "Rotom, stay with us and keep the place lit." Rotom continued to grin, twirling around happily.

"Good idea." Pacifica smiled. She looked at the strange writing again and her eyes widened. "Whoa...this is...weird."

"Huh?" Wendy looked at it. "Wait...that looks like-"

Before Wendy could finish, the ceiling behind them collapsed over the entrance, sealing them inside.
