And a strange plot bunny, free to a good home... After the death of his wife, Hiashi slowly connects with Tsume Inuzuka, who recently lost her husband. Eventually, the two marry. Meaning that Hana, Kiba, Hinata and Hanabi grow up as siblings. You could take this in a dramatic direction of course, but since it's me...

Kiba Inuzuka-Hyuuga came down from his bedroom, entering the dining room with a sleepy yawn.

Kiba: "Ugh... Morning Mom, morning Hiashi-sama-"

Hiashi: Frowns slightly

Tsume: "YOU BRAT!" Slams down a plate "CALL YOUR STEPFATHER WHAT HE WANTS TO BE CALLED!"

Kiba: "Erk! Y-Yes Mom! Uh, I mean... Good morning, Papa?"

Hiashi: Smiles slightly

Tsume: All smiles "That's better. Now let's have a wonderful family breakfast together~!"

Tsume is now flitting about the dining room like a happy housewife, all smiles and joy as Hiashi sips his tea. Kiba sits down next to Hinata, while Hanabi is playing with Akamaru and Hana is reviewing a book across the table.

Hiashi: low voice "You can call me what you wish, Kiba, but it does make your mother happy."

Kiba: low voice back "Yes sir."

Hiashi: "You also don't need to fear me. You are a fine young shinobi and I am proud to call you one of my own."

Kiba: "Oh, well, thank you sir-I mean, uh... Papa. This is just a little... Awkward."

Hiashi: nods "We are all adjusting, that is true. But I assure you that we will make it work. I care for your mother enough to try."

Kiba: "I've... Never actually seen her so happy. I can't figure it out!"

Hiashi: "With respect, Kiba... Your father was not an Alpha. He could not be strong in the way your mother wished. He could not handle the storm of her willpower. He could not provide for her."

Kiba: "And... You can?"

Hiashi: Slightly wider smile, hint of a blush "The Hyuuga are quite adept at making their spouses... Very happy."

Tsume: Hugs Hiashi from behind and nuzzles him like a newborn puppy "They sure are~..."

Kiba: "... AAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!" Runs screaming and jumps into the nearby pond in the yard.

Hana: sighs "What a wimp."

Hanabi: "I'm glad Papa and Mama are so happy!"

Hinata: winces "Poor Kiba-kun..."

Because hey, why not?
