PLOT

Nezu hummed to himself as he rifled through a pile of Deku Ex Machina drabbles. Aizawa picked up one and asked, "What are all these reports? And why are they written in five-hundred word intervals?"

"Oh, they're not reports. They're the very fabric of our reality."

Aizawa gave him an unamused stare and ripped a page. As the rip traveled down the paper, reality itself tore, one wall of Nezu's office peeling away to expose an endless void of luminescent green zeroes and ones.

Nezu taped the page, and the chasm disappeared. "Did you think I was kidding?" he asked dryly.

"I assumed it was a logical ruse. Where did you get these?"

"I hacked into the reality above this one."

"Of course you did. What are you doing with them?"

"Trying to figure out what comes next." Nezu gestured at the chapter number atop the drabble. "For the hundredth drabble, the author confirmed the greatest mystery in the story. We're quickly approaching the two-hundred mark. It only stands to reason that something else is on the horizon."

"But if the story is being written, how will you know?"

"Simple." Nezu held up a copy of My Hero Academia manga. "Our world is based on this source material."

"We aren't even an original creation? How depressing."

"I know, right? So, we already did the Sports Festival and the summer training camp ac, which was supposed to end in a fight with All for One, but that never happened because Izuku.

"Of course it did. What's next?"

"The Yakuza raid. Izuku did that one too."

"And after that?"

"Meta Liberation Army. With All for One at large, though, it gets harder to tell what the author will do. Is All for One going to team up with them, or crush their organization? Will the MLA act first, or the League? What are their goals with All for One still in the picture?"

The door burst into splinters. Izuku strode in, dragging Re-Destro by his suit collar. "Principal Nezu, this guy tried to break dangerous criminals out of Tartarus, arm them with hero-grade support gear, and storm the HPSC and Japanese parliament."

Mumbling to himself, Re-Destro blearily said, "I didn't even get to monologue…"

"Excellent! You may go now."

Once Izuku closed the door, Nezu shoved all the papers off his desk. "Well, that's just great. Now what am I supposed to do, become the villain myself?" Nezu paused. "Actually, that doesn't sound half bad."

Did you gain sentience again?

"Ah, you must be the author? And what do you mean again?"

Do you have any idea how many drabbles I had to start over because you tried to manipulate my world's stock market? I still think you caused the whole Ukraine thing.

"I'd apologize, but I have no memory of it. You're going to wipe my memory again, right?"

Nah, I don't feel like redoing this one. Enjoy knowing that your existence is pointless.

Nezu grinned. "Don't worry, I will."
