Gartoas looked on in disbelief as Turles seemed completely mesmerized by the appearance of the Kabochan female in his employ. To his utter relief the Saiyan shook his head and his awestruck expression changed to one of annoyance.

"Am I to believe there's a valid reason for your being two hours late?" the Saiyan pirate demanded.

"Yes, Master Turles. I had to return to the ship to procure a necessary item when Gohan and I got wind of a Quailshian spice transporter being nearby."

"Nabbin' that spice woulda fetched ah mighty fine profit!" the Kardanagan huffed.

"You should have notified me immediately, Zailora!" Turles snarled.

"There wasn't enough time, besides Gohan and I handled things just fine."

"Yah sayin tha two o' ya took on tha transport on yer own?" Gartoas snorted.

The dark-skinned Saiyan raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms over his chest as he awaited Zailora's reply.

"That's exactly what I 'm saying. There were only three crewmembers to bother with. As a matter of fact they should be waking up about now with an empty ship," the nobleman's daughter chortled.

"YA DIDN' TAKE OUT THA CREW?" the bearded pirate bellowed.

"There was no need…"

"Gohan I suppose," Turles interrupted.

"Yes Commander."

"Where is the Quailshian spice?" the spiky-haired Saiyan wanted to know.

"It's loaded in the storage area below the main deck of your ship, that's why I'm so late," the Kabochan female informed him.

An evil grin lit Turles's face," Excellent!"

"And ya hadda dress like ah Azelkian harlot on holiday," Gartoas muttered.

Turles cut in before Zailora could fire back a retort," I see nothing wrong with Zailora's choice of clothing…nothing at all."

The Kardanagan rolled his eyes at his commander's words. Of course Turles didn't find anything wrong with the woman's garment. The silver gown was low cut practically backless with a high slit that just stopped at her right upper thigh.

The black and silver armored warrior held out his arm to the she- pirate. She took it and gave her beefy crewmate a smirk as she was walked away in the company of the pirate commander.

"Ah hope ya know what yer doin' Woman, " Gartoas grumbled.

Despite his earnest efforts, Cronos could not manage to spark any more fragments of memory in the mind of the young man he now knew as Daiz. But it was a new day and it could prove promising. The sooner his "guest" recovered, the sooner life could return to normal in his household. His granddaughter's interest in the dark green-haired stranger was becoming rather alarming even to him.

Markelia waited hand and foot upon Daiz and fussed over him to the point the elderly Dayogien found it embarrassing. Poor Agalaki tried so hard and was rewarded with an icy demeanor from the young female. Daiz was gifted with a brilliant smile just for looking in her direction. Yes it was best that he returned from whence he came and soon as possible!

The object of Markelia's interest was keeping a careful watch on the Dayogien females and young children that were busy picking Katala fruit. Available only a few weeks of the year, the precious deep-blue berries were highly prized by the villagers. The Dayogien were willing to risk climbing the steep precipices where the fruit was apt to grow. One of the youngest females leaned out just a little too far….

"…..and in conclusion, I am sure with our combined efforts we can end the threat of piracy that threatens the commerce of our respective planets," a bright blue reptilian being in a white robe declared to the thunderous applause of his audience.

Zailora gave an incredulous look at Gartoas who merely shrugged his shoulders. She couldn't believe the irony of Turles attending a gathering of those seeking to end piracy in the Southern Quadrant. How could they not know one of the most notorious pirates of them all was right in their midst? Where was Turles anyway?

The dark-skinned Saiyan found it quite amusing when he discovered the true purpose of the "alliance" Artruay intended to become a part of. Obviously the gray reptile needed to be reminded that every life on the planet he considered home could be extinguished at the slightest whim. Turles smirked at the notion. He was very good at giving reminders.

A slim ivory-skinned female with long purple hair in an emerald gown glided by the Saiyan pirate, she was practically dripping with jewels. Turles chuckled evilly there was something else he was very good at. The purple-haired female tittered as the handsome Saiyan swept into a dramatic bow before her….

….

The former prince of Kabocha saw the screaming child of two years at the most fall from the cliff. He leapt straight into the air from his mount without a second thought. Taking to the sky Daiz effortlessly caught the falling youngster. Gasps of horror and disbelief came from the frightened villagers. When he touched down, the child's mother snatched her away and backed away in terror.

"What's wrong? The child is unharmed…" Daiz began.

"What's wrong? You have the audacity to even ask? YOU are what's wrong here! " Agalaki roared as he rode up to the dark green-haired warrior.

"Is it a crime to save a child's life?" Daiz growled.

"You have abilities which are not natural! What manner of being takes flight like a winged creature? " the young Dayogien guard hissed.

"I didn't even know I could DO that!"

"Oh spare us the 'I lost my memory' foolishness. You are some wicked being which seeks to enslave us with your enchantments. You might have bewitched Cronos and Markelia but I am not so easily fooled," Agalaki argued.

"Enough, Agalaki!" the voice of Cronos rang out.

The Dayogien elder wore a grave look on his lined face.

"We must talk Daiz, return to my dwelling immediately!"

Bulma grit her teeth as Turles lazily made his way to stand before her.

"I could report you and…"

"And you would personally responsible for all the deaths that would occur as a result of said report," the pirate commander remarked casually.

"YOU ARE EVIL!" the blue-haired beauty exclaimed in helpless fury.

"Guilty as charged," Turles snickered.

"Artruay and I will…"

"I wasn't aware that the two of you had become an item. Opposites certainly DO attract obviously. But if you're planning on offspring I would seriously suggest you adopt!"

Unable to contain her anger Bulma flew at the Saiyan. He easily sidestepped her and rather than being able to rake her nails onto his arrogant face, the hapless young scientist found herself tumbling into a pink marble fountain.

The former heiress sputtered in complete outrage as Turles roared with laughter at her predicament. He reached down and cupped her chin in his right hand. He smugly traced several fingers down her cheek to her throat.

"I really appreciate your enthusiasm, Bulma dear. But I'd rather not bathe with you in water of such a low temperature. The view is rather enjoyable though," the Saiyan pirate chuckled.

Bulma was completely mortified as she realized her rather scanty undergarments were now plainly visible due to her drenched gown.

"Amazing how I can always manage to bring some color to that delicate complexion of yours," Turles teased as he left her clinging to the fountain's edge.

"I don't care what it takes….I'm going to destroy YOU!" Bulma fumed through chattering teeth…

Zailora suddenly noticed Turles making his way to where she and Gartoas were seated.

"I wonder what he's been up to?"

"Out flirtin' wi' ever'thin' wearin' ah skirt!" Gartoas said under his breath.

Before she could respond, Turles pulled several items out of the black gauntlet on his left hand and shoved them into her hands.

"Do something with these!" he ordered.

Zailora's eyes grew wide as she took in the lavish assortment of glittering baubles the Saiyan had managed to procure. The jewels they contained alone were easily worth a small fortune. She hurriedly placed them in the pouch she always wore at her waist.

"I've obtained the information I desired we'd best be on our way," Turles advised.

A thoroughly humiliated Bulma gratefully accepted a shawl-like garment from a kindly orange bovine-faced female as she clambered out of the marble fountain. The large purple cloth enveloped her slim form hiding the source of her embarrassment. She whirled about as she heard a high-pitched feminine voice scream.

"My Tareshia star-sapphires are missing!"

Another outcry quickly followed. A pudgy yellow frog-like female loudly protested the loss of her Denasi pearls from the lavender seas of planet Latierrash. Suddenly it seemed that over a dozen wealthy women of various races had had their treasures stolen from their necks, ears, wrists and even their hair!

Bulma nervously reached up to touch the precious necklace of diamonds that hung about her own throat. She gasped in absolute horror as she realized…..the necklace was gone!
