"He's my son, I'm going too!" Chi-Chi had vehemently insisted.
Turles fumed at her insistence. It wasn't enough that the Earth female alternated between begging and demanding to join the search for Gohan. Kosho was in total agreement with her going along. Why was it so important to Kosho that the abrasive mother of Gohan accompany them? Then it would be wise to separate the two Earth females, Daiz would only have to keep an eye on one…
Gartoas lumbered in closely followed by Daiz and the blue-haired woman. The Kabochan female trailed behind at a distance.
"Take er' wi'ya. Ya' might need someone to cook," Gartoas huffed.
"Turles is a half-decent cook," Daiz cut in.
"'Half-decent?'" Turles snapped.
"I'll do whatever's necessary! Please let me help find Gohan!" Chi-Chi pleaded.
Turles walked over to Chi-Chi, she sucked in her breath at the baleful glare he gave her.
"For some reason Kosho believes you'll be an asset to our search. You will obey every order and if you do not keep up I will leave you on the planet! Is that understood?"
Goku's widow nodded quickly.
"He wouldn't really leave her there would he?" a worried Bulma asked Daiz in a whisper.
"Naw, he wouldn't risk losing someone to threaten you with," Daiz whispered back.
The Kabochan pirate winced suddenly and pressed a hand to his forehead.
"Serves ya right, smartin' off," Gartoas needled.
Daiz had a reason to snicker as the bearded pirate suddenly clutched at his own brow.
"How is Turles even doing that?" Bulma wondered aloud.
The young scientist gasped as she felt a stinging sensation right above her eyes.
"Never ask a question you don't want answered," Daiz warned.
Taimaz watched the antics of the Saiyan and his crew and the so-called 'prisoners' before her with a growing sense of disgust. What were they? Just one big family now? Everyone was getting along far too well and she knew just the thing to fix that…
"Daiz! Step away from that horrid creature! You don't know what she's capable of!"
"What are you blathering about, Taimaz? I know you don't like Bulma but…" Daiz began.
"Explain yourself Taimaz!" Turles interrupted.
Daiz didn't like the evil smile that suddenly lit the face of his fellow Kabochan or the utter terror that suddenly appeared in Bulma's eyes. What was Taimaz up to?
"Don't worry Bulma. Whatever she's scheming I'm right behind you," the dark green-haired pirate whispered.
"Master Turles, I believe I should let Bulma do the explaining!" the former barkeep crowed.
Bulma's heart sank as Taimaz triumphantly tapped her scouter. Her fate would be sealed as the altered words came across the device.
"I'm going to destroy Zailora and murder Turles's child!" rang out from the scouter….and it was clearly Bulma's voice!
Chi-Chi gasped and covered her mouth as she stared at Bulma in disbelief. She knew Bulma held no regard whatsoever for the evil Saiyan but this?
Daiz stepped back in utter shock. The hand that had gently squeezed her shoulder a moment before was now clenched in anger. A low growl came from Gartoas. Turles stood silent and unmoving but his countenance made the utter rage he felt quite apparent.
"Daiz, secure Bulma in her quarters I will DEAL with her when I return!" the pirate commander hissed in a voice of pure ice.
"Daiz, please! You don't believe…"
"I know what I heard! NOW MOVE ALONG!" Daiz barked as he seized Bulma's right arm in an iron grip and pushed her ahead of him.
"I'm telling the truth…"
"SAVE IT! MOVE OR I'LL HAUL YOU TO YOUR QUARTERS!" the Kabochan warrior bellowed.
Bulma fell silent as her protests fell on deaf ears. She hadn't seen this side of the soft-spoken former royal and it frightened her. Tears streamed down her cheeks she was going to lose her life for a threat she'd never made!
…
Taimaz smiled widely. Two obstacles were out of her way. First the nosy little green brat was dealt with and now the know-it-all couldn't interfere with her plans. In fact when the female half-breed was found Bulma could be implicated even further.
"Not as brilliant as you think you are, Bulma dear!"
Trusting little fool. It had been easy to convince the Pergashian/Saiyan that Gohan had backtracked and was hiding in the ship…..
Moments earlier…
"Kosho! I found Gohan! He's hiding under the desk in the lab I'm sure he'll come out for YOU!" Taimaz shouted.
The daughter of the commander of the Kabochan army snickered as the green youngster rushed over. Concern for her mongrel 'friend' would be her undoing.
Kosho couldn't feel Gohan's ki but it wasn't surprising as it had been erratic since he was struck with his strange malady. Entering the lab she bent down to look under the immense desk the blue-haired human used…..
Taimaz snatched the heavy box of tools the "genius" used on her projects and brought it down on the young half-ling's head with all her might. A satisfying crunch and a rapidly spreading pool of blood ensured her that considerable damage had been done to the miserable breed. The Kabochan female tittered as she flung the box along with the gloves she carefully wrapped around her hands into the waste receptacle. Taimaz grinned down at her scouter and now to deal with Bulma….
…..
Turles was losing his patience with the Pergashian/Saiyan. Kosho should have arrived at the bridge a considerable amount of time ago. Tapping his scouter the Saiyan received no response. When he attempted a mental link Turles immediately picked up on the almost non- existent ki. Something had happened to Kosho!
Gartoas suddenly appeared at the bridge. The burly pirate was breathing hard.
"Master Turles! THA GREEN BRAT'S BOUT' DONE FOR!"
Turles sped after the huffing Kardanagan. Chi-Chi wrung her hands in despair.
What was going to become of Gohan?
