Chapter 22

Invasion: Part I

"People often say that this or that person has not yet found himself. But the self is not something one finds, it is something one creates. "

-Thomas Szasz

Oliver slid a hand over his face as he stood among the group of individuals that Barry had brought together to stop aliens. They were currently waiting around for Barry who was apparently going to bring an alien of their own to join this team. He let out a sigh because he thinks he knows who is coming. Oliver glanced over to see Felicity already working away with Caitlin and Cisco, while Bruce seemed to have disappeared. Oliver glanced around with a slight frown. He knew Bruce wasn't a team player kind of guy so he could only assume the man was probably off trying to fix this all on his own.

"I know that look." a voice spoke from behind him and Oliver turned with a slight smile the familiar face of Sara Lance. The woman and Ray Palmer were now a apart of the team that called themselves Legends. "So I heard today specifically sucks for you. I mean besides the whole aliens from another planet." Oliver lightly laughed. "I can imagine it's hard to celebrate a wedding anniversary without your wife." Oliver turned away and sighed.

"It is, but we live in a world where aliens exist and need to be stopped and so I spend my anniversary here with all of you instead of the person I want to spend this day with." he glanced back over to the woman. "No offense, I am happy to see you, it's just-"

"I get it." Sara glanced around. "So she's sitting this fight out?" Oliver turn with a nod. "I guess after the past couple of months she's had, maybe this isn't the fight she's jumping at the chance to be a part of, but it is-"

"What?"

"You're not going to want to hear this, but with League, under the teachings of the demon, we're taught to survive, to assert our dominance, and to never step down from a threat." Oliver turned away. "Since I found her in that fortress, I've never seen her turn away from a fight."

"She isn't following the teachings of the demon anymore." Oliver said with a slight shake of his head. "She's finally got him out of her head."

"You know I doubt that." Sara replied and Oliver turned to her. "We all hated that man for what he did to us, what he put inside of us. But his teachings, no matter how hard we try, they're still inside of us. He's always there, and we can pretend that he's not, and we can choose to ignore his voice, but it won't make him go away. We were taught to fight, so her sitting this one out seems kind of out of character."

They hear the uptake of distant wind before Barry speeds in, but he's not alone. They all turn to Barry who is standing next to the blonde woman currently wearing the red and blue suit, the red cape billowing behind her.

"Guys-" Barry says with a bit out of breath as he walks over to them. "Thanks for coming." Sara glances from the man to the caped woman behind her, not proud of her quick once over of the woman before turning back to Barry.

"I thought you were bringing an alien?" she asked.

"Uh, yeah, I did," Barry said before turning to Kara. "Everyone, this is uh, my friend Kara Danvers." he turned back to the others. "For those here who aren't aware, she is also known as Supergirl." Kara waved to the team before turning to Oliver who didn't seem too thrilled to see her. She assumed he wouldn't.

Sara turned to Oliver, seeing the slight frown on his face. "I know that look too. What's up?" Oliver turned to Sara before turning back to Kara and Barry who looked slightly nervous.

"I know we're going to have to have a conversation about this later, but we really needed all the help we could get." Barry said before turning to Kara.

"Well what makes her super?" Sara asked to witch Kara flew up in the air, and using her laser vision, created the emblem on her suit in the floor in front of them. "Well alright then."

"Ok," Barry said turning to Kara who came back to the ground. "I should probably introduce you to everyone. The woman gave a nod before once again glancing over to Oliver who kept his glare still on her before he turned and stalked out of the hangar. Barry followed her gaze. "He's going to be cool, I mean he forgave me and Bruce."

Kara glanced around, "She's not here,is she?" she asked turning back to the speedster. "I was kind of hoping for a chance to talk to her as well." Barry let out a sigh and the woman quirked a brow. "You know I just assumed-" Barry turned to her. "Given the things she can do, she kind of seemed like someone we'd want on this team of yours."

"I know, and I tried, but I also couldn't push. Oliver kind of shut me down so I had to drop it."

"And you realize that she once told my cousin, who is also a being from another plan, to fly to the moon and he, without a second thought did it." Kara said and Barry turned away. "Whatever that is, we could probably use it. I mean maybe she can tell these things to just go back home."

"Like I said, we can't push." Barry said turning to Kara. "But we can try our hand at once again convincing Oliver about it." he nudged his head. "Let me show you who everyone is."

Oliver stalked outside and let out a heavy breath. He had no idea why he'd let himself get so worked up at the sight of Kara. It was just seeing her, it just reminded him of the moment that could've changed his entire world if that plan...that plan that he'd joined actually happened. Oliver turned at a distant voice to see Bruce a bit of a distance from the hangar with a phone pressed to his ear. Oliver walked over, only able to catch some of the conversation.

"Right now it's kind of circus." Bruce said leaning against the side of his car. "I guess Barry went to get Kara since Clark is sticking in Metropolis." he was silent for a moment before turning and seeing Oliver. "Right, well let me know if you find out anything and I will do the same." Bruce ended the call. "Eavesdropping?"

"Who was on the phone?" Oliver asked instead.

Bruce rolled his eyes before sliding his phone back into his pocket. "That was Diana." Oliver shook his head. "Don't worry, she's not coming here unless needed. She's going to stick around London in case there is an attack around Europe."

"Does she know anything about these things?"

"Given that there hasn't been any sightings around her, not yet. She says given the amount of alien beings out there, it could be a number of things. I'm having Cisco send over whatever we have to her now and she's going to let me know what she thinks."

"Well she may not have to. Kara is here." Oliver said and Bruce noticed the slight tension in his voice.

"And you're ok with that?" Bruce asked walking over to him. "I mean I get you haven't spoken to her for a while, but given our conversation about how everything went down, I assumed all and everyone was forgiven." Oliver turned away. "All is forgiven, right?"

"Right now we need to figure out how to stop these things and sure on the day I'm supposed to spending with my wife, I will be spending with a group of people including a few who tried to kill her, but yeah, I'm ok. That is just stuff that I will get over to focus on the fight." Bruce just looked at him for a moment.

"Did you need a hug or something?" Bruce asked and Oliver just looked at him unamused before turning and heading back inside. "That was a one time offer, you know!" Bruce watched the man heading back to the hangar, but also noticed his wife who came wandering out.

"You two disappearing screams trouble." Felicity said turning to Oliver. "What's up?"

"I caught Bruce on the phone with Diana." Oliver said moving past the woman who turned a narrowed gaze to Bruce whose eyes widened.

"He's just-" Bruce shook his head as he watched the blonde walking toward him. "I was messing with him and he-" Felicity didn't say anything. "Yes I called her to see if she knew anything about these aliens, that's it."

"Right, in a phone call you just had to sneak away to make." Felicity turned to walk back into the hangar, but stopped and turned back to him. "Look I get it, working with a team isn't your thing, but right now we're all dealing with something we've never faced before. There are a group of people in there who have come together to help. Whether you like it or not, they are your team, the people who will be watching your back and making sure you come back to me when all this is over. So get your ass in here and be a team player." Bruce looked at her for a moment before letting out a dramatic sigh as he walked over to her.

"You know I actually snuck out here to call Richie. I just called Diana in the off chance she could help us make sense of what this was, that's it." Felicity turned to him with a quirked brow.

"So is the team gaining Gotham City's Robin?" Felicity asked and Bruce chuckled bringing an arm around her as they walked inside. "What? Is his little team of—what are they calling themselves, Titans? Are they all coming?"

"No, but Richie jumped at the chance." Bruce said glancing over to see Kara who was moving about talking to the team.

"And you agreed."

"Well no, I told him to keep his ass at home." Bruce said and Felicity just chuckled at the look on his face. "Which you and I both know means-"

"We're getting Gotham's Batman and Robin together again?" she asked and Bruce turned to her. "You guys were so adorable in your little suits and masks-" she continued to laugh at the annoyed look on his face.

Katie was trying to talk herself out of doing this even as she packed her bag. She grabbed the handle of the small suitcase and pulled it downstairs before stopping at the door.

"So you're going?" came Ari's voice from behind her. Katie turned to see the girl who held a bowl of ice cream in her hand.

"That better not be my ice cream." Katie said and the girl just smirked before taking another bite. Katie let out a sigh before walking over to the girl. "Tell me to stay." Ari looked up to the woman in confusion. "Just-" Katie shook her head. "Just tell me to stay, and I will." Katie turned away. "I should stay...with you and Robyn and not-" Katie looked up to see Nyssa walk from the kitchen. "And not leave you in the hands of my psychotic cousin." she turned back to Ari. "Just tell me to stay."

"Sorry, I can't do that." Ari said taking another bite of her ice cream. "Whatever this super secret thing Oliver is doing, you obviously think he's going to need your help or you wouldn't have even packed a bag."

"That's just it. He doesn't need me. I'm almost certain he would be fine without me there, so just tell me to stay."

"Well almost certain isn't enough is it, otherwise you wouldn't be looking for an excuse not to go. So what are you really afraid of?" Ari asked and Katie shook her head before looking up to see Nyssa still standing there as if waiting for an answer to that question. Katie let out another sigh before turning back to Ari and placing a kiss to her head.

"Don't let Robyn stay up late, or she will get fussy. " Katie says before turning to Nyssa. "This one likes to sneak out, because you're new she will try it."

"Hey, I'm standing right here and no-" Ari said before looking back to Nyssa. "No I'm not. There's no where to sneak away to in this boring town." Katie just shook her head before turning back to Nyssa.

"When she does try, ground her and take all electronic devices. She will give you some, but she will have a few, so you will have to search every inch of her room."

"Glad to know how much faith you have in me." Ari muttered before turning and heading upstairs to eat her ice cream.

Katie turned back to Nyssa who just stood with her arms folded over her chest. "you can do this, right? Like how much experience do you have with children? Can you change a diaper?"

"I have been trained to kill a man with my thumb, I think I can handle a diaper." Nyssa said before nudging her head. "You should go. If this fight is as bad as Oliver made it seem, then he really may need you."

"Fine." Katie says before turning and walking back over to grab the handle of her bag before turning back to Nyssa. "And you may have been trained to kill a man, but absolutely nothing we were trained to do has prepared us for babies. She's a good baby, but when you do something she doesn't like she will throw a tantrum. She likes to feed herself and will turn away if you try to help her, she's on this little independent kick so just let her at it. If you sit her down in the play room, you have to watch her because she's gotten sneaky and likes to play hide and seek and it will totally freak you out, mostly because when you call her she won't answer. She hasn't spent much time here so we don't know where she will hide, so it's best to just keep an eye on her. Uh, there are doctors numbers on the fridge." Katie shook her head. "If for some reason she needs a doctor or to go to the hospital, go, then call me and I will just kill you when I get here." Katie looked over to the woman who just gave a bored look. "Protect my kids Nyssa."

"Go save the world Nura." Nyssa said and Katie just let out a sigh before turning and stepping outside.

Katie dragged her bag down the porch steps, walking over to her car before stopping. She turned down the beach with a quirked brow before glancing back over to the house.

"Go back in the house." she muttered to herself still trying to talk herself out of this. She still didn't listen as she turned and began dragging her bag through the sand down the beach. When she was a bit of a distance away from the house, she stopped and turned to look out to the water.

"So which one of you stuck around?" Katie spoke looking out to the water. She soon heard the sound of footsteps in the sand and turned to see the dark haired woman who looked out to the water.

"He said you'd have a change of heart." Zatanna said with a shake of her head. "It's so annoying when he's right. He never lets me hear the end of it." she glanced over to Katie before turning to her fully. "Katherine—" Katie turned to the woman who held out her hand. "My name is Zatanna Zatara and it is an absolute pleasure to finally meet you." Katie turned to face the woman, glancing down to her hand and after a while the woman dropped it back to her side. "An apology at this point is quite pointless, so I assume that's not what you're looking for."

"I don't need your apology Zatanna." Katie says before glancing back to look out to the water. "What I need you can't give me."

"I understand." Zatanna say and Katie lets out a sigh. "I can't make this all happen the way you want it to happen." Katie looked over to her. "I can't bring your mother here so she can have the conversation I know you want to have, but I can share with you the knowledge that I have, I can help you-"

"Help me, what?" Katie shook her head as she slid a hand over her face. "Look I don't know what you think you know, but whatever those powers were, I don't have them. They're gone. So I don't need a lesson or some crash course in mysticism, right now I just need a magical portal to my husband. Can you do that?" Zatanna looked at her for a moment before giving a nod. Turning around, Zatanna muttered a spell and soon a portal of purple, gray and white lights appeared. She turned back to Katie.

"Whether you believe it or not, it's not gone, I can feel it right now. And that feeling—I've never felt that before. It's there and when you're ready to learn how to use it, I will be happy to help."

"And why would I ever ask for your help?"

"Because the homo magi is a dwindling race in this universe, and you and I are just a few still around. You're kind of like the closest thing I have to family." Zatanna said and Katie looked at her for a moment before turning and grabbing the handle of her suit case. Zatanna watched as Katie walked over to her then turned to the portal before simply giving a nod. "Just walk through and you will find your husband." Katie nods before taking a step toward the portal, slightly wary just walking through the doorway of swirling lights. "You'll be fine. You may feel a bit queasy when you get there, but it passes relatively quickly." Katie examined the portal a bit longer before turning to Zatanna.

"Thank you." Katie said and Zatanna gave a slight smile. "And if this fight is more than this team can handle, you and Constantine will need to be another line of defense, I mean-" she turned back to the portal. "What if you created one of these portal things and pushed them through it."

"I mean that could work, but they might come back." Zatanna said and Katie looked back over to her. "But keep thinking about it, maybe there is a way to get rid of these bastards before they can cause too much damage. If Constantine or I figure out a plan, we will let you know." Katie gave a nod before turning back to the portal still a bit hesitant. "Oh for the love a-"without a word, Zatanna just shoved the woman through the portal. Once she was gone the woman let out a sigh. "That was necessary!" the woman called after her.

Oliver stood, arms folded over his chest as Barry explained what they knew.

"These are the Dominators. We don't know much about them." Barry said.

"Except they're really strong." Kara interjected and they turned to her. "I heard a lot of stories about them when I was a kid." she turned to the eyes on her. "They came to my planet before I was born. They did experiments on a lot of people. Killed a lot more."

"Well, they're not the only ones with superhuman strength, I hear." Thea says optimistically, " Barry says that you're more powerful than a locomotive."

"We should use Kara as a stand-in for training." Oliver said looking over to Kara who gave a slight nod.

"Since when is Robin Hood calling the shots?" Mick Rory asked. They were all warned Mick didn't have much of a filter and the man usually said whatever was on his mind.

"What I think Mick is trying to say is it would be nice if we knew who was in charge around here." Ray said looking to the others. "Maybe we should take a vote. Choose a leader. Someone we can all trust." the suggestion lingered for a moment.

"Well, I trust Oliver." Cisco said somewhat unexpectedly. It didn't go unnoticed the suggestion seemed to infer there was something else going on. "He's got my vote." Barry looked over to his friend and sighed.

"Appreciate that, Cisco, but Barry put us all together." Oliver said turning to Barry who looked back over to him. "It should be him." Barry looked over to Oliver with a slight hesitant nod, but Oliver just nodded right back to assure him that he had this.

"I mean-" they all turned at Bruce's voice, the man who'd been relatively quiet for most of the time he was here. He turned to Barry. "You're a fairly competent guy, but given what we're facing here, maybe-" Bruce turned to the look on Felicity face and his shut his mouth and just shook his head before turning to Barry. "Can you do this?" There was a very loud voice in Barry's head telling him he really couldn't do this, but he would never give in to it. Instead he gave a nod. "Then Oliver's right, you brought us here, it should be you."

"Fair enough." Cisco said.

"Okay. Cool, all right, well, I guess as Team Leader, first thing to do is start out by..." Barry paused for a moment hoping an idea would come to him, but his mind was blank.

"Doing a test run." Bruce sighed and Barry looked over to him and gave a nod.

"Let's do a test run. Yeah, let's do a test run." Barry spoke nervously not giving anyone in the room much confidence in his ability to be a team leader.

"Against Supergirl." Oliver loudly whispers and Barry turns to him and nod.

"Against Supergirl, all right? Test run against Supergirl." Barry says a bit louder to the rest of the team.

"Are we just supposed to pretend like we don't hear them?" Sara asked and Barry just ignored her.

"So just suit up. Mm-kay? Look alive. We're training to fight aliens by fighting an alien, so..." the team was already walking away, someone even telling him to stop talking. Barry just sighed as he took a step. "Oliver-" Oliver stopped and turned back to him. "Kara, Really quick." Oliver looked over to the Kryptonian before they both walked over to Barry. "I just wanted to make sure you two were alright." Oliver looked from Barry to Kara. "I get the last time the three of us were together it was a not so good moment, but hey it ended ok." Oliver looked over to the man with a quirked brow. "I mean not ok, because your wife ended up in a coma, but we stopped something pretty cataclysmic from happening and-" the glare Oliver was giving him was burrowing down to his soul. "I mean-"

"I hope you know we really did have good intentions." Kara interrupted Barry's babbling. "At the heart of it all, helping your wife was the purpose of the mission, for me anyway." Oliver looked at the woman and could see the genuineness of her words in her eyes and gave a nod.

"I appreciate that." Oliver said. "Look we're good. Nothing that happened in the past has anything to do with what we have to do today to stop these things. Right now we don't know what to prepare for, so we need to prepare for the worst. These people need to understand that it's not going to be easy." Kara gave him a nod. "Don't hold back. Especially against me." Kara looked at him for a moment before slightly tilting her head. Oliver looked over to her in confusion before turning to Barry who shared the same look.

"Uh, Kara, are you ok?" Barry asked and the woman turned to him with a smile and just gave a nod.

"Oh, yeah, I'm ok, really ok." she turned back to Oliver. "Don't hold back, got it." Oliver just gave a slight nod before turning to suit up as well.

"What was that about?" Barry asked and Kara turned a wide smile to him. "What?"

"Hopefully something good, but I can't tell you." Kara said tilting her head as she listens to the mutterings of the woman outside trying to work up the courage to come inside. "You should go suit up." she said before turning and heading off leaving the speedster still confused.

Katie gripped her legs as she stood hunched over trying to calm her breathing.

"A bit queasy my ass." she muttered before looking up to the hangar. She saw the cars around and knew this was the place. Oliver was probably inside, with this team Barry had put together and even in this moment when she's just a couple of feet away she was still trying to talk herself out it. "What are you doing here?" she turned, glancing around to see the open fields that surrounded the hangar. There was nothing around which was probably the allure of having this whole hero meeting here in the first place. She let out a sigh before turning and heading over to hide behind one of the cars.

Katie had no idea how long she'd been cowardly hiding behind that car, throwing the small gravel rocks to distract herself. After a moment she stopped and lifted her hands, the memory of them glowing once upon a time. She heard the sound of an engine and looked up to see the black convertible, the top down and the surprising face of the person sitting behind the wheel. The man pulled the car to a stop before stepping out of the car and looking over to the woman on the ground behind the car.

"Hey Richie." Katie says.

"Hey Sugar Bear." he says before glancing over to the hangar. "So have all the freaks gathered for this whole alien showdown or whatever?" he turned back to Katie.

"I guess so, I've sort of been-" she reached down to grab another rock and tossed it.

"Hiding out?" he asked and she gave a nod. "Anyone know you're out here?"

"No, and I kind of like it that way." she said looking back over to him. "I'm sort of working my way up to walking inside the whole team hero thing going on in there."

"Ok, uh, well mind if I join you?"

"I do." Katie says with a nod. "Yeah, I'm just out here vibing by myself and I like it. Think I just need some me time, so you can head on inside. Don't tell anyone I'm out here and I'll meet you in there soon." Richard looked down to her for a moment before giving her a nod.

"Sure thing." he turned and grabbed his bag from the backseat of his car before heading over to the hangar.

Richard walked into the hangar, his bag hanging over his shoulder looking around before he spotted a familiar blonde and a smile crept up on his face. The man slyly snuck around the perimeter of the hangar dropping his bag before sneaking up behind the woman and covering her eyes with his hands causing her to jump.

"Guess who Blondie." he said and the woman sighed before reaching behind her and smacking his arm. "Ow, hey!" he removed his hands and the woman turned to him. "Is that anyway to greet your own adoptive son?" the woman stood to her feet. "I missed you mommy."

"You're not funny at all, you little-" she reached forward and pinched him again but he just inched away before bringing his arms around the woman in a hug, lifting the woman off her feet making her laugh. "Put me down you man child." Richard complied placing her back on her feet before looking around, now noticing the guy sitting beside the woman. Felicity followed his eyes. "Oh, I'm sorry, Cisco, this is Richard Grayson." she turned to Richard, "Richard this is Cisco Ramon."

"Oh, I know you, you're the suit guy," Cisco stood up to shake the man's hand.

"Um, yeah, sure." Cisco said looking over to Richard before turning to Felicity. "Why is Bruce's ward here?"

"Ward?" Richard said and Cisco turned back to him. "You know given how long I've known the guy, I really have no idea what our true DTR really is." he turned to Felicity. "Definition of relationship. Maybe I am his ward."

"More like the pain in my ass." spoke the voice from behind him and Richard smiled before turning to Bruce who was partly in his bat suit, just not wearing the cowl. "I told you not to come."

"You and I both knew I was coming." Richard said looking over to the man before looking over to the others who also seemed to be all suited in their hero gear. "So what is this like a dress rehearsal or are we doing the whole alien take down now, because I'm ready. I watched all the alien movies on the plane here." Richard turned back to Bruce who gave that annoyed look. "I'm joking. I mean I did watch the movies, but for entertainment purposes-" he glanced over to Cisco. "But it did make me think. Like maybe some of that stuff is based on some truth, right? Have you seem them?"

"Of course, but I doubt-" Cisco saw the scary look on Bruce's face and just stopped talking. Richard turned back to Bruce and just looked around.

"Where can I get changed?" he looked over to Cisco who just pointed to the back where the offices and restrooms were. Richard just gave a nod before heading off.

Richard was walking before spotting another familiar face. The man smiled and waved.

"Oliver, hey man, long time no see." Richard said. Oliver who'd been following Dr. Stein and Jefferson with Barry stopped and glanced over.

"Richard?" Oliver said turning to the man. "What are you doing here?"

"I'm here to tell you about our lord and savior?" Richard said with a light laugh but Oliver didn't show a hint of amusement. "Ok, I'm here to help with fighting the aliens."

"Bruce asked you to come here?" Oliver asked.

"In more or less words." Richard said before pointing behind them. "That's where I can get changed." without another word, he moved around them before stopping and turning back to the man. "Oh, it's like a really nice day, you should go out and get some air."

"Excuse me?" Oliver turned to the man who just shook his head.

"Never mind, forget I said anything." Richard just turned around and walked away.

"He's still so...Richard." Barry said before they turned and headed inside of the truck to find out what Dr. Stein had found out.

Oliver and Barry sat in front of Dr. Stein and Jefferson as they listened to the distinct voice of Barry, only he sounded different. Older. Barry looked up to the doctor who'd just told them that they'd found the tape on their timeship that was apparently sent from him 40 years from now. Barry dropped his head at Oliver's question of what this meant. He knew what it meant...it meant what he feared.

"It means I screwed things up when I changed the past." Barry said lifting his eyes back to Oliver.

"What did you do?" Dr. Stein asked.

"I went back in time, and I saved my mom. I created a timeline where she's alive. It's called Flashpoint." Barry said turning away once again. "I lived in it for a few months, until I realized that I made a big mistake, and I tried to reset the timeline, put things back to how they were supposed to be, but..."

"But it didn't work." Jefferson said

"No." Barry said with a shake of his head.

"Wow. Barry, that's..." Oliver couldn't wrap his head around this, much less make a complete sentence.

"So what's changed since you did this?" Dr. Stein asked and Barry sighed.

"Cisco's brother is dead. Caitlin has powers. Diggle has a son now instead of a daughter." he says and Oliver turns to him in confusion.

"What? John had a daughter?" Barry just nods.

"But that's not-" Barry turns back to Oliver. "Look I don't know if it's connected or if it's just a wild coincidence."

"What is is?" Dr. Stein asked and Barry turned to him for a moment before turning back to Oliver.

"In attempting to undo it, the day I returned to my own timeline was the same day Katie woke up from her coma." Oliver looked at Barry for a moment with a slight frown.

"And what the hell does that mean?" Oliver asked and Barry shook his head.

"Maybe nothing, she's been back, she's fine." Barry sighed turning away. "I didn't just screw up my life, man. I screwed up everybody's lives and, apparently, everybody's lives in the future. It felt like, when these aliens got here, that finally something had happened I didn't cause, and maybe I could make up for everything I'd done to everybody, but I..."

"I think we should be on the up and up with everybody." Jefferson said looking from Oliver and Barry to Dr. Stein. "We got to tell 'em." Oliver glanced over to Barry still reeling from this new information that could possibly involve his wife, but Barry was right. Katie was back and she was fine and right now whatever Barry did wasn't affecting anything at this moment.

"We're going up against a bunch of aliens, and you want to tell people that their lives might have been affected by time travel?" Oliver asked turning to Jefferson. "One sci-fi problem at a time." he turned back to Barry. "You made a mistake, Barry. It's part of the job. But we can't deal with it today." with those words Oliver gave the man a pat on the shoulder before turning and leaving the van. Barry glanced over to Jefferson and Dr. Stein before following behind him.

Katie knew she'd been hiding out too long as she noticed the moving shadow of the car. She let out a groan as she lightly jerked her head back against the car and closed her eyes.

"You're not a coward." she whispered to herself. "Why can't you walk in there?" she let out a sigh and opened her eyes up to the sky, her mind traveling to evil aliens up there right now planning something. "Why couldn't you just invade mars or something. What's so special about Earth?" she dropped her eyes. "That's the question, what is here that you want?" She heard some kind of explosion from the hangar and jumped to her feet at the sound of pained groans. Without thinking, she hurried around the car to the entrance of the hangar, coming to a stop at the sight of Kara, in her Supergirl gear hovering high above the ground above a group of other suited heroes all laid on the ground.

"Test run." Katie muttered before looking up to see Kara's eyes on her. It would seem no one else had noticed her, and so she placed a finger to her lips before she moved to hide behind a shipping container.

"She really is a badass." Thea said pushing herself back to her feet.

"Yeah, it's kind of hot," Sara said as they all stood and looked up to the amused Kryptonian.

Oliver stepped forward looking up to the woman. "Let's go again." he said before they all ran to attack once again.

Katie peeked from the side of the container with a shake of her head.

"This is the saddest thing I've ever seen. This is pointless." she muttered before turning and pressing her back against the container and closed her eyes. "Our weapons can't hurt them, they're stronger, more than likely smarter. Our greatest weakness is that we don't know what they're end game is." she opened her eyes. "Dominators...your goal is obvious right, you dominate." she heard another crash and turns, peaking around to see the team once again lying on their backs.

"Are you sure you want me to keep going?" Kara asked as she watch the team exhaustively standing back on their feet.

"Yes," Oliver tension filled voice said. "Yeah, just give us five minutes." Kara gave a nod before lowering back to the ground and they all seemed to find a place to sit. Oliver looked over to her as she nudged her head toward him and he looked over to her in confusion.

"What are you doing?" he asked and the woman let out a sigh.

"I'm trying to gesture with my head that you should go to the other side of the hangar." Kara muttered through clenched teeth. Oliver was still confused and tired and not at all interested in whatever weirdness was happening with the woman. Kara let out a sigh before lifting her head. "I'm sorry, but I can't keep quiet much longer, especially when I think you really should be on this side of the hangar!" they all looked over to Kara who was still looking over to the container. They followed her eyes unsure who she was talking to.

"Just come out Sugar Bear, red and blue just ratted you out." Richard said stretching his arms.

"What?" Bruce said pulling the cowl from his head and turning to Richard before turning to the shipping container. "Robins?!" they turned as Oliver hurried over to the shipping container, walking to look behind it only to find that no was there.

"There's no one here." Oliver said looking over to Kara who turned using her x ray vision, spotting the woman now hiding on the end of the container. Kara simply nudged her head and Oliver turned walking behind the container, before coming to the other side to finally see the face of the woman who'd been at the back of his mind since he arrived here. She was standing there with her back against the container her eyes closed. "Twinkie-" he walked over to her, the aches of his body now forgotten. "You know closing your eyes really doesn't make you invisible, right?"

Katie let out a sigh before opening her eyes. "You couldn't just let me have that one, could you?" she smiled at the man before placing a hand on his cheek. "Hey Liver." Oliver smiled, before stepping forward and bringing his arms around her.

"When did you get here?" he asked and Katie puffed out her cheeks slightly and turned away. "Twinkie, how long have you been hiding in here?"

"I mean, behind this container, like a couple of minutes." Katie says turning back to him. "Outside, behind a car, maybe an hour or two." Oliver eyes slightly widened.

"Why didn't you come inside?" she just shrugged. "I thought you were staying out of this one."

Katie sighed. "It didn't feel right." she said looking up to his eyes. "The being separated on our anniversary, the aliens invading our planet and me not being here to watch your back, it just didn't feel right." she dropped her eyes. "It didn't feel right the moment you left but I tried to ignore it, but that only lasted until Constantine and Zatanna showed up."

"What?" she felt Oliver grasp around her tighten. "They came to the beach house?" Katie gave a nod and she saw the man's jaw clench.

"It's fine, there was a bit of deja vu of the moment that kind of freaked me out, but I guess Barry called them, told them about the aliens."

"What, so they come see you instead of coming here?" Oliver asked and Katie looked at him for a moment wondering if she should even bring up Constantine and Zatanna's insistence that she come here to help with the magical abilities neither of them had talked about since she came back. She once again shrugged.

"I don't know, they just showed up and said that I should help." it wasn't a complete lie. It was actually the truth, just not the whole truth. "So I dug deep in myself to find just an ounce of trust for Nyssa with the kids and I had Zatanna bring me here."

"Where you hid outside for two hours." Oliver said and Katie just shrugged. Oliver let out a sigh as he looked down to the woman. "Why didn't you call me, I would've come out and hid with you."

"That's the last thing I wanted to happen. You're here to focus on stopping aliens, and—" she dusted off his hood. "And to get your ass kicked by Supergirl apparently. I'm not here to distract from that." she looked back up to his eyes. "I came to say happy anniversary to your face, kiss you and then leave you be." she lifted herself a bit leaned her lips to his in a kiss she planned to be a quick peck, but Oliver's arms held her in place apparently with plans of his own.

The rest of the team stood there for a moment, looking over to the shipping container.

"Oh," Kara suddenly said before turning away from the container. They turned to her and she just awkwardly smiled. "They're-" she cleared her throat. "Having a moment."

"They're making out." Thea said with a shake of her head. "Someone's going to have to go over there in a few to break it up or they'll never stop."

Oliver had Katie's back pressed against the container, his hands sliding down her sides, to her waist, his fingers heating the skin he finds above her pants. A moment, more like a minuscule second, of clarity falls into Katie's brain and she quickly stops his hand and pulls her lips away, ignoring to slight growl that escapes his lips.

"Liver, I seriously, didn't come here to make out with you." Katie says and the man just smiles.

"Well I kind of told myself that the next time I saw you that I wouldn't stop kissing you." he said already leaning in but she moved around out of his grasp. Oliver let out a sigh, clarity, begrudgingly , finding him as well. "Ok, fine, you're right, we can't do this here." his eyes turned to the entrance of the hangar. "You know I have a car and we-" she smacked his arm and he let out a sigh and turned back to her.

"Sorry, no anniversary quickies in your car." she said and he couldn't help but smile even though he was also disappointed. "We're going to have to save it for later. Like after stopping aliens, later." she nudged her head. "You should get back over there."

"You know hiding now that everyone knows you're here doesn't really make much sense, especially me." he reached forward and took her hand. "Maybe you're what's missing from this-" he shook his head. "It's honestly going terribly." he tugged her hand, but she didn't move. He stepped back to stand in front of her with a quirked brow. "Twinkie, what's wrong?" she didn't say anything and now she once again had his full attention. "Why were you hiding outside?" she dropped her eyes from his. She'd been trying to answer that question since she got here. The truth was staring her right in the face and yet she pretended as if she didn't see it. "Twinkie-"

"I didn't bring the suit." she said before lifting her eyes to his. "Everyone here has a hero suit, and I didn't bring the Guardian's suit, because I'm not the Guardian, I can't be the Guardian. So I sat outside because I didn't know who I was supposed to be when I walked through the door." she let out a sigh. "I mean Barry wrangled up a team of heroes and I for the life of me just didn't see that title in me." she looked up to his eyes. "You should go back over there, and I'll just keep soul searching or whatever outside." he looked down to her eyes without a word. "You're not going to let this go."

"I'm not going to let this go." Oliver said still holding her hand. "Either we both go over there or neither goes over there. I'm fine with either option. I mean we can stay here and I can just keep kissing you until you-"

"Don't-" Katie says and Oliver stopped. "This is the last thing I wanted. You focused on me and my crazy when you should be focused on stopping an invasion." she shook her head. "I shouldn't have come. I'm just going to go back to Blue Hill."

"Twinkie, if you thought that you should be in Blue Hill, you wouldn't be standing here in front of me." Oliver said, his eyes on hers. "I wish I could help you see..." Oliver shook his head. "Twinkie, I could tell you how you absolutely belong in a room of heroes because you are a hero. That whether you're the Guardian or just Katherine Queen, you save lives. I could tell you all of it, but unless you believe it, it won't matter." Katie closed her eyes and dropped her head back against the crate. "Why did you come here Twinkie?" Katie opened her eyes and met his gaze before placing a hand on his cheek.

"I guess when it came to aliens I didn't trust anyone to watch your back but me." she said and Oliver smiled before once again leaning forward, but she dropped her hand to his chest and pushed him back.

"Fine," he groaned taking a very slight step back. They found themselves stuck in a moment of silence as Oliver stands there looking at her and she back at him. She closed her eyes once again and took in a deep breath before letting it out.

"I can do this." she muttered to herself before opening her eyes to see him still staring at her with that smile on his face. "You're so annoying."

"And you're so damn frustrating." he replied and Katie just laughed before pushing herself from the crate and began walking around, only taking a few steps before stopping when she realized all eyes were now on them. She felt Oliver behind her come to a stop as well, slightly bumping in to her as he looks up as well to see their audience.

"Good, we were going to send someone over to break you two up soon." Thea said looking over to the couple. "We figured you two would have to come up for air at some point. Hi Twinkie."

"Twinkie?" Mick said in confusion before turning to Ray. "Is that like her power or something?"

Ray let out a slight chuckle as he shook his head. "No Mick, it's just a weird nickname."

"whatever," Mick said before he turned back to the woman and just shook his head before walking out to get some air.

"It's not that weird." Sara said standing to her feet and walking over to Katie. "I knew you hadn't lost the fight." Sara brought her arms around Katie who returned the hug. "I can fit my arms around you now."

Katie laughed. "Missed you too Sara." they pulled apart and Sara opened her mouth to say something, but looked behind the woman to see Oliver still standing there right behind her. Katie followed her eyes to Oliver and sighed. "Really?" he looked down to her and shrugged.

"C'mon I'll introduce you to everyone." Sara said taking Katie's hand and pulling her over to the others. "Everyone this is Katherine Queen. She kicks ass and is also unfortunately married to Oliver." Sara looked back to Oliver who didn't look amused at her comment.

Katie just gave a wave to the group, looking them over. She knew practically everyone there, except for maybe a few new faces.

"Call me Katie and it's nice to meet you all and to see some of you-" she replied before turning and heading over to another face she hadn't seen in a while. "Long time no see Mr. Palmer."

"Yeah, feels like a lifetime. I would-" he lifted his arms slightly, still in the ATOM suit. "The suit isn't the best when it comes to hugs, so rain check?"

"sure." Katie replied before turning to see Kara who stood a few feet away with a nervous smile on her face. Katie let out a deep breath before walking over to the woman and looking her over. "Cool suit."

"Thank you." Kara replied and the two stood there for a few moments in an awkward silence.

"I should-"

"I'm sorry." Kara blurted out and Katie turned to her with a quirked brow. "About everything." Katie looked at the woman, and saw the sincerity in her eyes and figured the woman had been waiting awhile to say that. Katie gave the woman a smile before reaching forward and taking her hand.

"Kara I'm here, and despite how it happened, I'm right here, so thank you." Kara let out a relieved sigh before throwing her arms around Katie in a hug the woman didn't expect. "And now we're hugging."

"Oh, I'm sorry," Kara pulled back with a shake of her head. "I just...I'm so happy right now...I mean not about the Dominators here to attack the planet, but this, this was good." Katie just shook her head before turning and seeing the team all decked out in their hero gear and she suddenly felt out of place.

"So you're here to gear up with us Sugar Bear?" Richard said from his spot on the floor before standing to his feet. "I'm assuming you're going to need to be in something other than jeans and a jacket if you're in this." Katie was about to respond before she got a good look at him in the suit he's wearing.

"Wait-" she took a step toward him. "Now I've seen pictures of Gotham's Robin so what is this?" Richard laughed as he glanced down to the black and blue Kevlar suit.

"Yeah well, Robin is a sidekick and it's hard to be the sidekick of someone's who's not there." he glanced over to Bruce who just shook his head. He turned back to Katie. "I'm Nightwing now."

"No more Batman and Robin." Katie says glancing over to Bruce who obviously had some feelings about it, but he didn't say anything. She turned back to Richard who reached forward and pulled back her jacket. "Hey, what are you-" she didn't finish the question because of course when some guy starts tugging at her clothes her husband magically appears. Oliver grabbed Richard's wrist and the young man simply lifted his hands in surrender.

"I was just seeing if she had anything on under her clothes." Richard said and Oliver's gaze darkened as he took a step forward only for Katie to move in front of him and push him back slightly. "I meant a protective suit."

"You should find another place to stand Richie." Katie says and Richard just shook his head before walking away. Katie let out a huff before turning back to Oliver whose glare followed Richard. Oliver felt her eyes on him and turned back to her with a quirked brow. "That was uncalled for."

"How about we agree to disagree." he replied and she just shook her head before they turned at raised voices. The group had their attention now on Barry and Cisco.

"Tell us what?" Sara asked looking between the two men. Cisco turned to Barry and gave a nod before backing away to let the man finally come clean.

"Uh, Jax and Professor Stein found a message from me in the future saying that, right now, I can't be trusted." Barry said and they all looked confused.

"And why would future you say that?" Sara asked.

"I think because I went back in time and changed the timeline, and now things here are different than before I left, including some of your lives."

"Some of our lives? Like who?" Kara asked.

"Cisco." Barry cast another glance to his friend before turnig back to the others. "Caitlin. Wally. Dig."

That got Diggle's attention. "Me? Why? What happened?" John looked to Barry for an answer, but instead Oliver took a step toward him.

"Hey. Apparently, you had a daughter." Oliver whispered and John's eyes widened before he turned back to Barry.

"I had a daughter, Barry?" John asked.

"Baby John was Baby Sara." Barry said and Katie whipped her eyes back to Barry whose guilt ridden expression was still on John.

"So, wait, you... let me get this straight. You just, uh... You just erased a daughter from my life?" John asked and Barry dropped his head.

Katie turned letting out a sigh. They seemed to be veering off the main objective here. They couldn't afford to be distracted. Not now, not this moment. Actually none of this was important. She turned to see the others still focused on Barry and wanted to dissect this mistake he clearly felt guilty about. This was a waste of time. And so without really thinking she brought her fingers to her lips and blew out a loud whistle causing everyone to stop and turn to her.

She cleared the nervousness from her throat and let out a deep breath. "Glad I got your attention because I don't know if all of you still remember, but there are still aliens out there and we still have no idea how to stop them." she shook her head before turning to Barry. "What Barry did in past can't matter now."

"My brother is dead." Cisco said looking over to the woman and Katie turned to him. "He mattered."

Katie looked at Cisco and sighed. "He did matter Cisco, but right now there is a threat far more important than your feelings and these emotions. You want to be mad at Barry, fine, but let's just focus on one problem at a time. I vote to focus on the problem that's threatening the planet."

"Of course you would. You were once that threat, right?" Cisco said holding her gaze and she didn't even bat an eye.

"Hey!" it was Oliver who chose to step in, but Katie lifted her hand to stop him.

Katie turned back to Cisco. "I was, but there was a group of extraordinary individuals there to stop me and I doubt any of them stood around fighting about an unchangeable moment in the past." she took a step forward.

"Guys? Guys, it's Lyla!" Felicity suddenly called and they all turned to her. "The President's been abducted by the Dominators. She needs us now."

"Okay, you guys go." Barry said turning to the others. "All right? I'm gonna sit this one out. Obviously, you have Supergirl. She's just as fast as I am. Get the President. We can talk about this later." no one objected as they all began leaving. Katie watched as they moved past her and she was dumbfounded right now. Right now there was a threat out there that none of them had ever gone up against and they were all just ok with leaving a man behind. Barry walked over to Kara. "You still trust me, right?"

"I'll always trust you, but it might take more to convince them. If you need me, I'll be there."

"Guys, this is cr... hey!" Oliver took a step forward. "This is crazy! Everyone is going, including Barry. I... I'm not going without him."

"Then you'll be here, Oliver." John said and Oliver turned to him and sighed.

"Okay. You know what?" Kara walked over to Oliver. "Oliver, it's okay. I will go with them. We'll get the President. You stay here with Barry."

"So where are we in this?" Richard asked looking over to Bruce who was standing beside Felicity. "Are we team Barry or not, because I didn't come all the way here not to fight some aliens." Bruce turned a dark glare at the man.

"Richard, it's fine." Barry said and the man turned to him. "They're going to need all the help they can get. You should go." Richard nodded before turning back to Bruce.

"You coming?" Richard asked and Bruce just let out a sigh before turning to Felicity.

"You have to make sure he doesn't get killed don't you?" Felicity asked as Bruce brought his arms around her.

"Unfortunately." Bruce said before bringing his lips to hers. "I'll be seeing you soon, Ms. Smoak."

Felicity groaned against the kiss before pulling back to meet his eyes. "Just make sure you come back, smart ass." she said bringing a smile to the man's face before he turned to Richard who was still standing beside him. He gave him a once over, looking at the suit and just shook his head before slipping his cowl over his head.

"C'mon, Nightwing." he said before stalking away. Richard turned to leave, but Felicity took a step forward to grab his arm to stop him.

"Make sure he comes back Richie." she says and Richard simply gives a nod and a charming smile. "You could come back too, but that's totally optional."

"You wound me Blondie," he says placing a hand over his heart. "But I got the big brooding lug." he gave the woman a nod before turning and hurrying to catch up to Bruce.

Kara was the last to leave, stopping in front of Katie before joining the others.

"I'm going to assume you're staying?" Kara asked and Katie looked over to Oliver who stood near Barry but he was looking over to her. She turned back to Kara and gave a nod. Kara was supposed to accept the answer and just walk away and yet she didn't move.

"Kara?"

"You know Clark told me about his whole moon adventure." Kara said and Katie looked over to her with a quirked brow. "You told him to go to the moon, and he said it was like some sort of auto pilot turned on and he was no longer in control. You gave him an order and there was nothing stopping him from following it." Oliver suddenly appeared at Katie's side and Kara turned to the man whose expression told her he wasn't happy about what she was saying. "Katie-"

"You should go Kara." Oliver interrupted her, stopping whatever else she was going to say. "The others are waiting for you." Kara knew he was attempting to shut her down, to stop this topic he no longer wants to continue. Kara just turned back to Katie who hadn't said anything and so she just let out a sigh before turning to follow after the others. Oliver's arm snaked around Katie who shook her head before stepping out of his grasp and turning to him.

"I can usually talk for myself." she said. Oliver let out a sigh before taking a step toward her.

"Twinkie, I was just-" he shook his head.

"Hiding from this thing that we're too afraid to talk about." Katie slides her hands over her face before returning her eyes back to Oliver. "The darkness being gone doesn't change the fact that we found out my mother had abilities and that those abilities were passed on to me." Oliver dropped his eyes and this moment made Katie nervous. They both wanted to pretend this part of her life was just part of the nightmare. For her it was out of wanting to not be the person in their relationship who ruins their family. From the moment she told Oliver the truth she was always afraid of the moment where he would realize that this—her-freaky abilities, were just too much. She shook her head. "Let's just forget about it." he lifted his eyes to her in confusion. "Let's just keep pretending, ok." she walked away from him, over to Barry who'd been pacing back and forth alone. "Hey," he stopped and turned back to her. "What the hell was that?"

"What? You saw them after what I just told them." Barry said with a shrug. "Me staying behind was the right decision. They don't trust me-" he glanced over to Cisco who was standing beside Felicity. "I completely understand." he turned back to Katie who let out a groan.

"Barry do you want to know what stands between aliens and their ability to invade our planet?" Katie asked and Barry just let out a sigh. "This team, every single person you brought here because you realized that to stop this fight that none of you have gone up against before, we would need a team. Each and every person has a purpose and every person that your drafted to be here is important, and that includes you."

"Hey, guys-" Felicity walked over to them. "We're going to head over to Star Labs to keep an eye on the others as they retrieve the president." Barry just gave a nod before turning to Katie before just walking off. Katie let out a sigh before turning to see Felicity and Cisco packing up and leaving as well. She turned to Oliver who walked over to her.

"Twinkie-"

"Why take the president?" she suddenly said looking over to Oliver.

"Well I hate to say it, but I guess, he's the leader of the United States, and maybe someone brought them to our leader." Oliver said and Katie turned away and shook her head. "What are you thinking?"

"Well while everyone was all Barry angry, no one stopped to think." she said turning back to Oliver. "They're all about to walk into ememy territory. Their turf, and that's a pretty big risk to take when you don't know what you're up against."

"They have Kara." Oliver said. He brought an arm around her once more. "We should go." this time Katie didn't pull out of his grasp as they walked out of the hangar. Once outside, they watched as Barry sped away, while Felicity and Cisco loaded up into their car and drove away. Oliver lead Katie to his bike.

Katie lightly chuckled and Oliver turned to her with a quirked brow. "Been a while since I road on the back of your bike." Oliver smiled as he slid on the bike, before turning and taking her hand to help her on behind him. Once she was seated, her arms slid around him, before dropping her head against his shoulder letting out a sigh. Oliver slid his hand over hers, before revving up the engine and speeding away.

For just a little while, with the wind and speed and the passing of the city, Katie just forgot about everything. She let the ride distract her enough from the craziness of the world. She lifted her head and placed a kiss to the back of his neck and Oliver turned his head slightly once again sliding one of his hands over hers. She dropped her head back against his shoulders and closed her eyes. Once they stopped she opened her eyes expecting to see Star Labs, instead she saw a large body of water.

"Liver, where are we?" she asked lifting her head before Oliver slid off of the bike. He turned to her, bringing his hands to her waist and lifting her to stand.

"I just thought we could have a moment." Oliver said turning out to the night sky and water, and seeing the reflection of the city lights reflecting off it. He turned back to Katie who glanced from the water to him. "A few uninterrupted moments alone on our one year wedding anniversary." he turned, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her closer to him.

"You know we can't stay here, right?" she slid her hands up his chest before looking up to his eyes. "I mean this is a public lake, anybody could walk by and see the Green Arrow touching the mayor's wife inappropriately. Talk about scandal."

Oliver laughed before dropping his lips to hers. Kissing her always dulled whatever issue or catastrophe he was facing if only for just a few moments. He pulled away and sighed as he lowered his head to hers. "We're supposed to be having a candlelight dinner right now on the back patio of the beach house." she hummed before placing a kiss to the side of his mouth. "I was going to cook you dinner and afterwards there was going to be chocolate cake."

"I like chocolate cake." she said, placing another kiss to his cheek.

He laughed. "I know. And after the cake I was going to give you your present." Katie stopped her kisses and pulled back with raised brows of excitement and Oliver just chuckled. "Which I don't have right now. It's back at the beach house." Katie's excitement deflated.

"Why can't you just tell me what it is?" she asked and Oliver just shook his head.

"Because I want to see the look in your eyes when you see it." Oliver replied and Katie looked at him with narrowed eyes.

"You didn't get me anything, did you?" Katie asked and Oliver laughed before tightening his grasp around her and once again letting his lips find hers. "Admit it now, or there will be hell to pay later." his lips moved to her neck and she couldn't help but to fall into his arms. "We gotta stop because if we don't-" his damn lips found that spot behind her ear and she couldn't help the moan that escaped her lips. Oliver pulled back when he felt his phone vibrate. With a groan he pulled it from his pocket and glanced down to see a text from Barry wondering where they were. Katie looked over to the screen and sighed. "We have to go." Oliver's eyes looked back over to hers. "And don't look at me like that, with the eyes it's just-" she groaned before turning and walking back over to the bike. Oliver laughed as he followed behind her.

"We should talk." he said suddenly and Katie turned back to him in confusion. "No more pretending, no more hiding, we should talk about your-" he let out a sigh. "Your abilities." he took another step toward her. "Have you used them since you've been back?"

She looked at him for a moment before shaking her head. "No, I really haven't tried or even thought about trying." she dropped her eyes. "I think I wanted to pretend that they were gone with the darkness." she lifted her eyes back to him and shrugged. "I thought it would make our lives easier if I was just the wife and mother who was only slightly messed up."

"Twinkie," Oliver brought his arms around her. "You're not-" Oliver shook his head. "Twinkie, I can't imagine what going through all of that did to you and I get you're still trying to pull yourself out of guilt and sadness and I wish I could help you somehow. What I know is that the woman standing in front of me is the love of my life, who has the biggest heart and who is the greatest mother to our daughter and to Ari. Absolutely nothing will change how I feel about you, not even magical powers." Katie looked up to the man with a smile before placing a hand on his cheek.

"What if I grow a tail?" she asked and Oliver looked at her for a moment before shaking his head with laughter. "You laugh, but what if it happens? Will you still love me and my magical tail?"

"I will still love you and your magical tail." he said turning back to the woman before bringing his lips to hers, only to stop short. "Wait, what if your magical tail like wags when you're excited?" he turned back to Katie who smacked his arm and turned to get on the bike. "Hey, you brought up the tail and now I have so many questions."

When they arrived at Star labs, they found Cisco, and Felicity already sitting in front of the computers, Iris and Caitlin standing in front of them.

"Where's Barry?" Oliver asked and they all turned to them.

"Oh he's in the time vault." Caitlin said and Oliver looked at her for a moment. "Down the hall, hidden door on the left." Oliver quirked a brow. "You won't miss it." Oliver just gave a nod before turning back to Katie who glanced over to him with a smile.

"Go pep talk." she whispered and he just placed a kiss to her cheek before turning and heading off to find Barry. Katie turned back to the others before letting her eyes looking over the lab and she sighed before walking over to the others.

"Hey," she turned at Felicity's voice. "You ok?" Katie placed a hand on her shoulder and just gave a nod. She looked over to Cisco who was avoiding her gaze and just shook her head before turning to Caitlin and Iris.

"New faces." she said before walking around the computers and pulling Caitlin into a hug. "It's good to see you Caitlin."

"You too. It's been a while, right?" they pulled back. "Last time I saw you I was restitching up that mysterious wound you never told me about."

"Oh, I didn't?" Caitlin shook her head. "I was stabbed by my psychotic cousin." Caitlin stared with wide eyes. "It's cool though, I think we're starting to work through our issues." Felicity gave a snort and Katie just looked over to her. Katie turned to the smiling woman to Caitlin's right. "And you must be Iris?" the woman nodded. "I'm-"

"I know who you are. You're Katherine Queen." Iris said and Katie just gave a nervous laugh at the woman's sudden excitement. "I've seen your pictures in magazines and newspapers, plus Barry has a picture with you." Iris let out a deep breath. "I'm sorry, I'm not some crazy stalker or whatever, but I've been so invested in you and Oliver's story. I mean going to high school together and then finding each other years later, getting married, and then all the craziness with Damien Darhk and-"

"Ok," Caitlin took a step forward and Iris turned to see the look and turned back to Katie and just nervously laughed.

"I'm sorry." Iris said and Katie just laughed with a shake of her head.

"Well now that introductions are out of the way," Felicity stood up and walked over to Katie. "I think it's time we reintroduced another topic of discussion."

"Is it Richie not being Robin any more because that was a total shock, like there's no more Batman and Robin. How did Bruce take it?"

Felicity turned away and sighed. "Well he-" she suddenly shook her head and turned back to the woman. "Wait, no, if you want to know how Bruce feels you're going to have to ask him yourself and that's not what I was talking about. I mean you being here sans hero suit." she looked over the woman's clothes. "Not even a kevlar vest, a mask-"she looked up to the woman's eyes. "Not even a wig. I'm seriously confused about how you thought you were going to fight aliens with this outfit."

"I've fought people in far less." Katie said and Felicity just looked at her in confusion. "That sounded better in my head, and whatever, it's fine. I'm fine, give me a weapon and I'm cool."

"I mean until someone shoots you and then you're dead." Felicity says.

"You think these aliens have guns?" Katie asked and Felicity just shook her head before turning to Cisco. The man had been keeping his eyes on the monitor in front of him, but felt the eyes on him and looked up.

"What?" he asked.

"We need the Guardian's suit, and I hear you have a new one you've been waiting to give her." Felicity said and Katie looked from the woman to Cisco who turned to her.

"Hey, that's not-" Katie shook her head. "That's fine, I don't need whatever suit you have, what I'm wearing is fine."

"What you're wearing won't protect you in a fight." Felicity said turning to the woman. "What's going on?" Katie looked at her for a moment before shaking her head and turning to Cisco.

"You were right. What you said before about me once being the threat to the planet. It was me standing there with all that darkness swirling around inside of me without a care for absolutely anything, and I was going to end everything. To come back from that, to remember feeling so cold, so empty, to remember having such a lack of empathy or care for the human existence, and then slip on some hero suit." she shook her head before turning to Felicity. "I'm good." she moved around the woman about to leave to find some place to hide out until she was needed.

"Wait," Cisco said standing to his feet and turning to the woman who stopped. "What I said, I-" he shook his head. "I know that wasn't you. I shouldn't have thrown that back in your face. What you did, what you almost did, it wasn't you."

"But it was." Katie says. "Not my consciousness, but it was me. My hands did evil things, and my voice said hurtful things. And no one wants to talk about it." she turned to Felicity. "No body wants to tell me how bad it was, how scared they were or how much the things I did hurt them. We've all pretended that it was just this nightmare that we just don't talk about." she turned back to Cisco before once again turning to leave.

"Why are you putting the Guardian on this pedestal?" Cisco asked and Katie let out a sigh and glanced over to him. "Think about it? Who were you before this whole invasion of the body snatcher?"

"Ra's-" Felicity spoke and Katie looked over to her. "The assassin he was training you to be, ARGUS, the soldier they were building. What did those hands do, what came out of your mouth then?" Felicity took a step toward the woman. "At some point you realized that the person you were and the things you did wouldn't define the person you wanted to be."

"You wanted to be the Guardian." Cisco said and Katie turned to him. "Do you want to know the reason I like designing suits for you?" he took a step forward. "It's because I've seen you, in newspapers, on television, even in person, helping people as Katherine Robins and then Katherine Queen. It was like designing a suit for a woman who was a hero whether she was wearing it or not and I thought that was beyond awesome."

"And with that being said, if you plan on going out there-" Felicity said and Katie turned to her. "You're wearing that suit."

When Oliver actually found the hidden white room, his eyes glanced over to the article that covered the wall before turning back to Barry. Barry was sulking in guilt and Oliver was all to familiar with the feeling.

"You need to stop beating yourself up over this." Oliver said,

Barry dropped his eyes. "I'm sorry, but how can you say that? I'm responsible for all of this."

"Maybe. Maybe not. Barry, you made a choice. You wanted to see your parents alive again. Do you honestly know anyone that, if they were in your shoes, wouldn't do the same exact thing?" Barry looked back up to the man. "I would do the exact same thing. Barry, after the Gambit went down, it was me, my father, and a crewmember on a life raft. Lost at sea. Enough food and water for one person, maybe. My father took a gun, shot the crewmember, told me to survive, and then turned the gun on himself. He shot himself in the head. He sacrificed himself so that I could live. Nothing I could do. No choice. Slade Wilson drove a sword right through my mother's heart, in front of my sister and I. I was there. I was helpless on the ground. I was powerless to stop it. No choice. Do you not think that I wouldn't give anything to go back and to make things different?" Oliver shook his head. "We all wish we had the ability to change something in the past Barry. I mean if I could I wouldn't hesitate to go back and stop my pregnant wife from picking up that damn envelope that would inevitably take her away from me."

"You never told me that."

"Barry, the world isn't different because you changed the timeline. Change happens. Tragedy happens. People make choices, and those choices affect everyone else. You're not a god, Barry."

The building suddenly shakes and both men glance up before turning back to each other.

"Hey Guys, wherever you are right now, we need you." Spoke Cisco's voice through the intercom. They turned to the screen behind them to see the outside of Star labs and both stood in shock to see their friends all out there, all seemingly angry and destroying things.

"Oh things got so much worse." Barry muttered.

Oliver and Barry quickly geared up, slipping on their masks and walking outside of Star Labs, not quite expecting what they found. It was their friends, the group who were supposed to find and rescue the president, but here they were, without the president and very angry.

"Guys?" Barry says looking out to his friends, but they didn't want to talk and before they knew it, a fight ensued.

Inside Star Labs, Felicity and Cisco are both typing furiously trying to figure out what happened to the team. They didn't even turn at the sudden footsteps behind them.

"What is going on?" Joe West says eyes going to the screen as he, Wally and HR hurry into the lab.

"Barry and Oliver stayed behind while everyone went to go save the President, but now everyone's crazy and going all "Kill Bill" on the both of them!" Cisco says not even turning from the computer.

"The Dominators have them under some sort of mind control." Caitlin says turning to them.

"They can't hold them off forever." It was Wally who pointed out the fact. Wally, Iris' younger brother, who'd gained speed after Flashpoint was hoping to find a place for himself on the team. He'd been trying and failing to convince his sister and father to actually let him use these powers and be apart of the team, but they weren't so sure about the idea. Iris and Joe turned to him, the looks on their face quite clear of their opinion on the idea. "I got to get out there."

"The hell you do." Iris countered with a look her brother knew meant she was quite serious. But the truth was, he knew he could help. He had the ability and so he couldn't just sit this out.

"They can't beat them by themselves, especially not with Supergirl against them." Wally didn't give them a chance to argue before he super speeds away.

Iris growls before turning back to the monitor as she see hers brother appear outside. "What is he thinking?" she mutters.

"Looks like Wally isn't the only back up Oliver and Barry are getting." Felicity says glancing over to Cisco with a smile. "The suit looks good."

Oliver found himself in a fight between Sara and Diggle, and Bruce and Richard. He was able to get John tied down with a bola arrow, but he knows at some point he was going to free him self. Luckily Richard went down and was staying down, but he was moving and would be back up soon as well. Right now he was trying hold up a fight between Sara and Bruce and neither was letting up. He threw a punch to Bruce, causing the man to stumble back before kicking a leg underneath Sara's feet knocking her to the ground.

"Just stay down!" he says, but neither do. They get their bearings, and stalk back toward him. Oliver lifts his fists, just as a high pitch whistle shifts his attention, along with Sara and Bruce who both turn as well. Oliver takes a moment to take it in. There stalking toward them, in what seems like a new Black leather form fitting hood lined with kevlar, and yellow stripes along the arms, legs, and shoulders of the suit. Her hair was hidden under a dark hood, with a yellow and black domino mask covering her eyes. The Guardian was back.

"Two against one!" Katie reaching down and pulling out her sais from the holsters on her thighs. "Now how is that fair?!" Sara growls before turning and running for her.

Oliver hears Bruce move and turns to throw another kick to the man's stomach. He can't help but to once again draw his attention back to the Guardian as she meets every punch and kick Sara throws. Katie lifts her sais, crossing them to block the hit from Sara's escrima sticks.

Katie laughed as she stared into the dark gaze of the woman in front of her. "Have you actually forgotten who trained you?" she tossed a kick to the woman's stomach, only causing her to stumble back before jumping with a double kick, roundhouse sending the woman's sliding to the ground. Oliver ran over to her and she turned to him. "Sorry I'm late-" she pointed behind her. "The zipper got stuck."

"Better late than never." he said turning to see Sara and Bruce back on their feet, John had freed himself while Richard lunged back to stand along side Thea. Oliver and Katie began backing away, turning to see Barry dropping to the ground behind them with a thud. Katie quickly runs over grabbing his arm and helping him to his feet.

"Hey," Barry said slightly out of breath. "You're here, and you're-" he glanced down to her suit. "Cool suit." they turned to see the team now inching toward them menacingly before suddenly a flash appears behind them, knocking them all off of their feet. That flash came to a sliding halt in front of them. "Wally?"

"Kid flash." Wally says with a smile before suddenly Super girl flies down and pushing him with her krypton strength sending him flying.

"Wally!" Barry rushes over to his side and Katie hurries over, both kneeling beside the man who they find unconscious. "Is he alright?" Barry glances over to Katie who slides a hand over his pulse point on his neck.

"Yeah, he's alive, but knocked out. That was a pretty hard hit." she says before glancing up. "We need to get him out of here." they turn to Oliver who appears in front of them providing cover as he shoots arrows to slow them down.

"Guys, Wally's hurt bad, but he's alive." Barry says to the team in Star Labs.

Katie jumps to her feet to stand beside Oliver, pulling out two glocks. He glances over to her.

"Don't worry, rubber bullets." she says before firing to slow them down as well.

"Let's get an ETA on overriding the mind control!" Oliver says still shooting arrows.

Felicity and Cisco seemed to speak at once, both excited with their answers.

"You go first, it's your office." Felicity says to Cisco.

"There's a weird signal coming from the salt mines." Cisco says.

"For the record that's what I was going to say." Felicity mutters.

"Can you jam it?" Barry asked.

"Uh, no." Felicity nervously said.

"That's not what we want to hear right now!" Katie says releasing her empty clips and reloading.

"How many of those do you have left?" Barry asked looking over to Oliver who was still pulling arrows from his quiver.

"Probably not enough." Oliver says.

"Ok-" Barry turns. "This hallway leads to a bunker under the building. Just hold them off."

"Where are you going?" Oliver asks as Barry stands and looks over to Supergirl who flies over.

"If they can't shut it down, then maybe she can." Barry says. "Hey Supergirl! Let's finally see who's faster!" Barry speeds off and Kara goes after him.

Oliver glances over to Katie who is still shooting. She glances over to Oliver.

"Get Wally, and head into the bunker, I will cover you." Oliver shook his head.

"I'm not leaving you!"

"We don't have time for this argument! Grab Wally, and get to that bunker, I'm right behind you!" she saw the hesitance in his eyes. "Trust me, I got this." he still wasn't completely sure, but she was right, there wasn't any time and so Oliver quickly turned, grabbing Wally and hoisting the man around his shoulders and heading into the hall.

Katie continued to fire, holding them off as long as she could until her clips emptied.

"Damn!" Katie snapped dropping the guns and backing away.

"Katie, you need to run!" Felicity's voice urged through the comlink. "Right now."

Katie stood there as Bruce, Sara, John, Thea, and Richard all began stalking toward her, now raising weapons. Before she could even turn to get away, they were firing, and in that moment everything just went quiet. She felt a familiar tingling under her skin, all moving to the tips of her fingers. Katie lifted her hands, her eyes going wide to see them glowing. There was no time to stop to take the moment in. she lifted her eyes and held up her hands, palms out.

"Stop." she whispered, and yet the soft spoken word stopped every bullet, throwing star, batarang, and arrow just mere inches in front of her. "It worked." she looked up because the people who shot the artillery were still moving. "Somewhat." she muttered as they began firing some more. She lifted her hands, moving them quickly to stop the barrage, but it was quicker than she could move. With one final freeze, she quickly turned and headed into the dark hall. She heard them behind her, running. She didn't stop until she spotted Oliver with Wally up ahead. He turned to see her, but his eyes lifted to the group behind her.

"Behind you!" he yelled before turning and sitting Wally down and reaching for an arrow. Katie turned coming to a sliding stop beside him, slightly stumbling. "You ok?" he asked, but she couldn't answer before they were being fired upon. Oliver continued to shoot arrow after arrow, while Katie took to throwing blades, but Oliver only had so many arrows and she only had so many blades before there was nothing left. Soon it was just the two of them, face to face with their friends who also seemed to be out of things to shoot at them, but they didn't look like they were backing down.

"What a way to spend an anniversary, huh?" Katie says keeping her eyes forward.

"We will definitely have stories to tell." Oliver says moving in closer to her before looking down to her hands that are still slightly glowing. "What-" she looks down to her hands as well before turning to him.

"I'm going to try something." she says and he looked over to her in confusion as she takes a step forward.

"Guardian I don't think-"

"Neither do I, but-" she watches as they begin to stalk toward her. "We got to try something." Katie clenched her glowing fists before turning to the group of mind altered heroes. "I really hope this doesn't kill anybody." and without another word she shoots her hands out in front of her, a burst of light filling the tunnel while also sending the team flying back to the ground. The moment the lights gone, Katie stumbles back feeling immensely weak. Even gravity is too much, her knees give in and she collapses to the floor.

"Katie!" Oliver yells running over, and sliding to the floor bringing his arms around her. He turns her to him, finally able to see the blood rushing from her nose as she fights to stay conscious. He lifts his head to see the team stumbling back to their feet, and it looks like they're about to once again attack. Oliver growls before sliding Katie over to lean against the wall. "I need you to stay with me." she turns to him and gives a weak nod before watching him stand to his feet.

Katie sits there, trying to follow what's happening. She knows there's a fight, but everything just seems blurry and it's getting harder and harder to even keep her eyes open. She screams in her head to stay awake, to keep her eyes open, but her mind and body are fighting relentlessly. Her mind is losing and her body is falling prey to some extreme mental and physical exhaustion that she can't fight any longer.

"Liver," she mutters before the world goes black.

Katie was cold. Her eyes lifted from the dirt covered road. Only minutes earlier was she finally released from the demented clutches of Jonathan Crane with the help of Dr. Quinzel who turned from accomplice to double crossing the man. She faintly remembers the woman saying something about a drug that was keeping her in the vegetative stated. Whatever the woman had injected in her seemed to be counteracting the drug. Katie lifted her eyes before stumbling to her feet. She spins around looking for something, anything to find help. Suddenly an ear piercing ringing fills her ears and she clamps her hands over her ears to stop it but it's no use. Katie turns, searching for the source of the sound, but all she finds is a blurry figure stalking toward her. She can't make out his face, but she can sort of make out the colors in his clothing. There's black and gold, and what she thinks is a cape behind him. She doesn't understand why his face doesn't get clearer the closer he gets to her. Even when he's standing right in front of her, his face never takes on a form.

He's speaking...she thinks, but all she hears is that ringing. She removes her hands from her ears, the ringing never ending, but she thinks she hears his voice, and one phrase very clear.

"Your test begins now."

Katie's eyes opened with a gasp as she jilted awake. Oliver appeared in front of her, his hands on her shoulders.

"Hey, look at me, I'm right here." he says and she lifts her eyes to him, her breathing coming out in quick puffs through her nose, her chest heaving. "You're ok, just keep taking deep breaths." he brought a hand to her cheek. Soon her breathing evened out and she closed her eyes. "Twinkie, keep looking at me." she opened her eyes back to him, before looking behind him. They were still in the bunker. She turned to see Sara, John, Bruce, Thea and Richard and suddenly memories flooded back to her and she clumsily shuffled back to her feet, stepping back, only for Oliver to stand and catch her in his arms. "It's ok, they're back." Katie turned to him before turning to the others who all stood around looking lost and confused.

Sara walked over first. "What the hell happened?" she asked to Oliver before turning to Katie. "Are you alright?"

Katie didn't exactly know how to answer that question and so she just let out another deep breath.

Oliver kept an arm around her as they trailed behind the others back to the Star Labs entrance.

"You know I could probably walk on my own." she whispered over to him and he turned to her, his grasp around her not letting up.

"What happened back there?" he asked her. "What did you do?"

"I don't know exactly." Katie replied turning away, going back to the moment, not even quite remembering what happened. "I don't-" she turned back to Oliver. "I can't even remember what I did."

"Well whatever it was, you're never doing it again." Oliver replied.

"Liver-"

"No!" Oliver stopped and moved to stand in front of her. "I don't know what you did, but whatever it was caused your nose to bleed and it knocked you unconscious and I couldn't wake you up. You were out for five minutes and they were the longest five minutes of my life." he shook his head. "And if these abilities do that, if they hurt you, then you will no longer use them." it wasn't request or a suggestion, but an order. An order she could see was rooted in fear which is why she didn't bite back or argue. This was a conversation that would need to be had at a later time when everything isn't so fresh. "Promise me you won't do that again."

"Ollie?" it was Thea who walked over. She, along with the others still weren't quite sure how the dominators got in their heads and were still coming to grips with the fact that they tried to kill their friends. She also wasn't sure what happened to Katie who they all seen laying unconscious on the ground, her brother standing over her obviously worried. She looked over to Katie, the woman looking slightly better than she did a few minutes ago. "Are you ok?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. I feel better." she turned to Oliver. "Really."

"Did we do that to you?" Thea asked and Katie turned to her and just shook her head before turning to Oliver who just brought his arm back around her.

"We should keep going." he said before tugging her along with him. Thea turned to follow until they reached the others. They heard the crack of lightening in the sky, followed by falling rain. They spotted Felicity outside, an umbrella in hand, holding it over Richard who look exhausted.

"Aw, it's ok. So you got mind controlled." Felicity said giving the man a gentle pat on the shoulder.

"I didn't even think he had a mind to be controlled." Bruce said and Richard glared over to him just as Barry sped over. Felicity turned, seeing Oliver and Katie and quickly went over to hold the umbrella over her.

"So, we saw your light show." Felicity said looking over the woman before glancing over to Oliver. "And from the scowl on your husband's face, he wasn't impressed." Felicity turned back to Katie who just shook her head. Felicity lets out a sigh before heading over to Bruce.

"Hey Barry, message or no message-" Ray said and Barry turned to him. "We're with you."

Barry let out a sigh of relief, a smile coming to his face as he nods. "Thanks."

Oliver looks down when Katie suddenly drops her head to his chest. "Hey-" she looks up to him and shakes her head slightly.

"I'm fine." she says and he just tightens his grasp around her.

"What now?" John asks.

"We call Lyla." Oliver says and they turn to him. "Tell her these Dominators aren't here peacefully." they all nod before turning to walk back into Star Labs.

No one quite knew what was happening when a yellowish light suddenly appeared from the sky and pulled Sara with it. Katie pulled from Oliver's grasp, looking up to the sky.

"Sara!" she yelled, turning to see Thea, Ray and John all disappear as well into lights from the sky.

"Everybody inside!" Barry orders. "Go!" they all turned to run. Katie turned looking over to Oliver who looked over to her. His eyes went to the sky above her and she followed his gaze.

"Katie!" he yells and she drops her eyes back to him. Oliver runs to her, his arms wide open, prepared to grab her and never let her go. The moment he reaches her and he closes his arms, she's just gone. "No!" he looks up to the sky. "Katie!"

"Oliver!" Barry calls and Oliver doesn't tear his eyes from the sky. "Oliver, we have to-" there's another light in the sky and Barry looks up to see it. Oliver looks over to Barry, the speedster already attempting to flash over to grab him, but he's not quick enough. Oliver is gone, and he's left standing there alone staring up to the sky without the faintest clue of what to do.

The annoying sound of her alarm clock made Katie groan as she lazily turned over, smacking it, repeatedly hoping to stop the sound. It wasn't stopping and out of frustration, she just grabbed the alarm clock and threw it across the room. The silence that followed was pure bliss and so she closed her eyes and once again let her head fall back into her pillow.

She was moments away from falling asleep when the sound of her ringing cell phone blared it's tune of, "We're not gonna take it! No we ain't gonna take it! We're not going to take it, anymore!"

She quickly grabbed the phone and answered it before bringing it to her ear.

"Mommmm." she whined in annoyance. "Why on earth would you change my ringtone to that awful song."

"Oh bite your tongue my heathen daughter, that song is a classic." Grace said with a laugh. "I'm calling because I'm pretty sure you've either unplugged your alarm clock or have thrown it across the room." Katie just groaned in response. "Wake up!" Katie's eyes snapped open and she turned over in bed with an annoyed growl. "We're going shopping today."

"But whhhhhy," the woman whined. "Why can't I just stay in bed and sleep on this beautiful Saturday morning."

"Because you need furniture." Grace said. Katie opened her eyes and sat up looking around her room that consisted of unpacked boxes, a lamp, a chair and the mattress she was currently sleeping on that was on the floor.

"I mean, do I really? I'm making due with what I got."

"You're just like your father." Grace sighed.

"I heard that!" Came Jacob's distant voice and Katie laughed.

"Look, you're starting your brand new job as the head of Emergency medicine next week and you're going to want to come home to a fully furnished apartment. Not a bunch of boxes. Now get up, get dressed and I will be there in an hour to pick you up." Katie dropped back to the bed. "And if you're still sleeping when I get there, I'm going to drag you out of that bed by your toes and it won't be fun!"

"Ugh, fine!" Katie says tossing the covers and standing up from the bed to stretch. She let out a yawn. "I'll be ready you evil woman. Oh and if you haven't guessed I'm putting you in a nursing home when you get older."

"Your words just warm your mother's heart dear." Grace laughs before hanging up.

Katie just shakes her head before heading out of her room to the kitchen to make some coffee. She walks through her living room and sighs at sight of all the boxes.

"I hate it when she's right." Katie mutters before walking into the kitchen. She flicks on the small television on the counter before walking over to the coffee maker.

"Well we're all excited here!" a voice speaks from the television. "We've had numerous sightings of Ms. Lance and her sister around town, but we have yet to spot the dress."

At the mention of the name Lance, Katie stops and walks back around to look at the television. Suddenly a picture appears on the screen, a couple Katie is all too familiar with. Oliver Queen and Laurel Lance, Starling City Prep's high school sweethearts were getting married. The show seemed to be some kind of pop news channel with a group of women. "Oh, I love the way he looks at her." Katie's eyes are locked on the picture. It's some sort of paparazzi shot that caught them at dinner at some bistro. And the way he looks at her...you could just see the love on his face. Katie allows herself to look at the image for just a few seconds longer before she grabs the remote.

"Ugh, just get married already so I don't have to see your faces every time I turn on the tv." she mutters before changing the channel to an actual news station. She smiles before going back to make her coffee.

Now we're in the alien mind illusion. Wonder what's going to happen in there.

And now for your sneak peek

Felicity was about to follow but Cisco caught her arm.

"I wasn't finished." Cisco said and Felicity turned to him with a quirked brow. "I saw Oliver, Thea, John, Sara and Ray in these pod like things." Felicity looked at him for a moment before she realized the name he didn't say.

"Wait, you didn't see Katie?" Felicity asked and Cisco shook his head. "What does that mean?"
