A/N: I do not own anything related to Dinosaur King. Just my OCs.
It was nighttime in Sanjo City as construction went on in many sides of town. In one tunnel, a capsule fell onto the ground, revealing the occupants. Dirt landed on top of the cards and made them glow.
The glow was purple before revealing a brown Ankylosaurus with a yellow club and bumps along its head and front legs. Some more dirt fell on top of the dinosaur but was too busy sleeping to care.
In another part of town, more construction was going on. This particular location was, in fact, Kierra's household.
While some were able to channel the noise out, the brunette girl wasn't so lucky. She groaned as she lifted the blanket off her head.
"Why couldn't they stop the construction at night?" she groaned. Her answer was the sound of a construction vehicle beeping to indicate it was maneuvering backwards.
She met that noise with another groan and put a pillow over her head. "Dah!" This was going to be a long night.
DING DONG*
"*Yawn* Who could this be at this time," Anderson yawned as Tate walked to the door the next morning. He opened the door to see his brunette female companion.
"Kierra! Morning! Get enough sleep last nig-" He stopped his sentence and yelped as he finally got the full image of Kierra.
Said teenage girl looked at him with bangs under her eyes.
"Woah! You look terrible" Anderson said bluntly.
"Thanks," she said dryly and with a hint of anger in her tone, "I didn't get a wink with all that noise outside. You and Cole seemed to have had the beauty sleep of a lifetime."
"What noise?" Tate asked.
Kierra looked in surprise, "What?! You mean none of you heard that super-loud construction going on all night long?!"
"Nope/Nada," the Fire Stone user and dinosaur said.
"We might be heavy sleepers," Tate added.
"Well," the purple clothed teenager sarcastically, "That must be pleasant."
"It sure was!" Anderson said, not getting the sarcasm.
Kierra muttered something under her breath before Anderson spoke again, "What are you getting upset for, Kierra. I mean, it's just noise, who cares?"
This made the female snap. She had gotten zero amount of sleep and this boy was going on like he didn't hear a thing. It was already bad enough she didn't have a partner yet and this oblivious boy was not able to comprehend why sleep was important.
"I'll tell you who cares! Me!" she answered, "Maybe if you weren't so clueless you would too!"
Anderson's face turned to one of anger. "Oh, yeah! Well, it's better than being uptight like you!" he retorted.
"And if you weren't so clueless, I could explain to you why it's not better!" Kierra shot back.
"All right. That's enough for now, time to eat. Kierra, you are welcome to join us," Jessica kindly said, hoping to defuse the tension.
"I would love to," Kierra said, knowing she was peeving Anderson off even more by staying.
Cole yawned himself, coming down and noticed Kierra, "Oh, hey Kierra."
The female brunette saw he also got a also got a good night's rest and she just huffed with annoyance.
"Was it something I did?" the Latino said as Cy came down the stairs.
Back with the construction crews, they were currently moving through a tunnel and were removing a pile of dirt that was blocking their path. However, this pile of dirt was where the Ankylosaurus was having his nap. Awoken by the noise from the construction workers, he roared and ran to a different place to sleep while the workers all ran for their lives from the armored dinosaur.
Back at the Merlos, Anderson and Kierra were having breakfast, bowls of rice, while now ignoring each other.
"Could you two at least relax while you're eating?" Cole tried to defuse the hostility between his friends. He had gotten a summary from what Mrs. Merlos said, and Tate on the side.
"Otherwise, you're going to have very bad stomach aches," Jessica warned.
"Fine, but Kierra started it," Anderson told his mom.
"No, you did!" Kierra said.
Jessica sighed, "Just finish your breakfast, please." Cole wordlessly continued to eat as the two complaining teenagers humph and returned to their food. It was at that moment that their Dino Holders started to go off, briefly distracting them from their grudges.
Down the tunnels of the subway, the Alpha Gang was currently looking for their target. Ed was holding a flashlight for some visibility.
"I don't like it down here," Ursula complained. "Are you sure we are in the right place?"
"According to Dr. Z, our dinosaur was detected right in this area," Zander told her.
"Oh, that's comforting," Ursula sarcastically responded, "You mean the same man who blows up his own laboratory every other week?"
"Yep! Our fearless leader!" Zander and Ed beamed with pride before getting serious again, "Let's keep looking, we can't go back empty-handed after our previous failures."
The Alpha Trio shuttered as they remembered the torture they got for failling the Spinosaurus mission.
"No need to fear!" Ursula triumphantly said, "After all, we do have a new dinosaur at our disposal!" Both members nodded at that claim.
Ed continued to look around with his flashlight before he noticed a brown and yellow object in the dirt. "What's this?" He asked as he went up to get a closer look. "Is it part of an old subway car or something?" He said as he touched the object.
The object began to move on it's own as the dirt began to erupt.
"Aah!" the Alpha Gang screamed as they realized what Ed was touching was their target's tail. "It's the dinosaur!" The trio ran away as the Ankylosaurus slammed his tail into the wall, creating a large tunnel.
Ed caught his breath and placed his free hand over his heart. "That was a close one, I almost lost my head!"
The relief didn't last long for him as Ursula bashed her portly teammate's head in, "Lucky you didn't, or I wouldn't be able to hit you! Now let's tail that dinosaur!"
"But, Ursula, it already has a tail," Ed told her.
"It's a figure of speech, Ed!" Ursula told him before bashing him again as they followed the Ankylosaurus, making sure to keep quite some distance from the clubbed end.
At the D-Lab, Anderson, Cole, and Kierra meet up with Tiffany, Tyler, and Jackson and they all ran into the lab.
"Fiona, where's the dinosaur?" Anderson asked.
"Underground in our city," she answered.
"Huh? Yet we still need to teleport?" Henry asked.
"There's too much construction for you to go there by foot," Fiona explained.
Tiffany quickly noticed the lack of someone, "Hey, where's Dr. Merlos?"
"I'm not sure," Fiona told them, "He said something about a very important errand."
"Come to think of it, I haven't seen Dad all morning," Anderson realized.
"And you just realized that now?" Kierra said with a smug tone, "There's Anderson being totally clueless again." She announced to everyone.
"Knock it off, Kierra! I am not!" Anderson told him.
"I'm just calling it as I see it," the purple clothed teenager continued with a smug tone.
"Burn," Simon whispered to Henry.
Kierra was chuckling at Anderson's anger before Tiffany decided to step in, "That's enough! You argue more than Fiona and I, and we're sisters for crying out loud!" She told them before grabbing them over to the transportation pad as the others waited before teleporting away.
When they were gone, Fiona huffed at the claim, "What is she talking about? I don't have time for silly arguments. She'll hear about this later," she said before returning back to her work.
When the light faded, the team was behind a fence that showed a forklift that was facing a large hole in the ground.
"Look at that!" Tyler exclaimed.
"Do you think maybe it was the dinosaur that did it?" Tiffany asked.
"Most likely, but we don't know what dinosaur we are dealing with," Cole mentioned.
'I wonder if it tried to come above ground, but got scared so it went back underground again,' Kierra thought.
"Let's go work it," Anderson declared as the group ran down the nearest stairs to reach the subway.
Once they went below the stairs, Kierra decided to say something, "Hey, Anderson, you guys look that way. And I'll look over here." She gestured to behind herself.
"Wouldn't it be easier if we all stay together?" Peyton asked.
"I'm sure Anderson wouldn't want to look for it with an uptight girl like me," Kierra bitterly said.
"That's fine by me!" Anderson said angrily before he and Kierra went their separate ways. Leaving the other members behind to decide which one to go with.
Cole sighed, "I'll go after Anderson. Come on, Cy!" The Latino and carnosaur left.
"Wait for us, we're coming with you!" Tiffany said with Peyton behind her.
Tyler and Jackson shared a look before shrugging, "Maybe we should check the marts?" The two knew better than to not be around a pissed off Kierra.
Jackson thought for a while, "Sounds doable." And they left with Henry and Simon behind them.
"Welcome to our annual big bargain sale!" a man with a megaphone said as he addressed a group of people waiting in a long line outside his shop. "Today only, you'll find our outdoor adventure merchandise at prices so low we're practically giving them away!"
In the line, Spencer was crunching a ticket that had the number 86 on it and looked like he was literally about to explode… or at the very least break a blood vessel in his eye. 'I've waited so long for this day to come!' he thought to himself.
Just then an airhorn went off.
And all hell broke loose.
Immediately a stampede followed with everyone pushing and shoving their way through. "Out of my way! Move it or lose it, buddy! Coming through!" Spencer shouted as he pushed his way through the crowd and tried to find any outdoor materials related to dinosaurs which he did.
"An infrared dino-grill!"
"I've always wanted a dinosaur tent!"
"I don't believe it! My very own dinosaur egg-shaped pillow!"
A few minutes later, Spencer paid for what he wanted and left the shop with his new camping supplies.
"Thank you, sir! See you next year!" The man with the megaphone said as Spencer was on his way.
"Oh, yeah, what a score!" the paleontologist said with a smile. Soon the earth began to shake. "Yaa!" he exclaimed as the Ankylosaurus burst through the wall.
People ran in fear, screaming while Spencer was in awe -like the many times before-, gasping, "Whoa! An Ankylosaurus!"
Tyler, Jackson, and their partners came just in to see the dinosaur themselves. "No way!"
"We just found our dino!" Jackson emphasized.
The panicked crowd caused the man with the megaphone to fall to the ground, making the item produce irritating feedback. The anky shook his head as he swung his tail in the air and made another tunnel. As he went down the tunnel, Spencer took notice of his son's friends. "Ah! Tyler! Jackson!"
"Dr. Merlos!"
They came over and exchanged their notes.
"So, today's dinosaur is… Ankylosaurus," Simon pronounced as if he was on a child's dinosaur show and the name of said dinosaur was on the screen above him.
Spencer had sparkles in his eyes before becoming determined, "Don't worry boys. I, Spencer Merlos, a world-renowned paleontologist will capture that dinosaur for the good name of prehistoric science!" He took off, leaving his bags behind having dropped them off earlier at the sight of astonishment.
Both teenagers and dinos shared a look before sweat-dropping. "Something tells me he didn't bring anything to defend himself," Henry thought aloud.
"Well, given how the Ankylosaurus is wandering in the subway and our dinosaurs can't exactly fight it, we should probably get these bags he was holding," Jackson suggested.
They decided it was for the best and left with the bags full of merchandise.
"He can't get into too much trouble, can he?" Tyler offhandley thought.
Meanwhile, Anderson had decided to check the sewers for the dinosaur. Instantly making Cole and Tiffany regret joining him. "Pretty smelly down here, isn't it?" She asked the Fire Stone user as she plugged her nose.
"Hmmm, really?" Anderson asked before sniffing the air. "That's funny, I don't smell anything."
"What?!" Tiffany exclaimed before whispering to herself, "Well, now I can see what Kierra was talking about."
"What was that?" Merlos asked as he heard Tiffany's sentence.
"Oh, nothing!" Tiffany dismissed it as she didn't want to offend Anderson by taking Kierra's side in the argument.
"See?" Cole whispered to her. Tiffany just nodded in agreement since Cole had been mentioning their argument.
Soon the tunnel began to shake and they saw the Ankylosaurus passing ahead. "Hey, there it is!" Anderson said.
"An Ankylosaurus!" Tate recognized.
"Let's go!" the brunette cheered before he stopped when the Alpha Gang came into view.
The Alpha Gang were following the anky's trail when they noticed their rivals in the area. "Hold it!" Zander told his teammates, "Those brats have followed us here again!"
"And this is as far as you'll go!" Ursula told the teenagers.
"That's what you think old lady!" Tiffany responded.
A tick mark formed on the villainess' head as she tried to attack Tiffany, making Zander and Ed hold her back. "Urrrr! You make it very hard for me to be nice!"
"Calm down. Remember your breathing exercises," Ed assured her to calm her down.
"That dinosaur is ours. So you can all go home," he told the teenagers.
"Forget it! We're here for that dinosaur!" Cy said.
Seeing a battle was about to begin, Zander looked around quickly and saw a pipe, "That's what you think!" He and Ed ran over to the pipe and began to turn the wheel on it. "Time for the Alpha Gang to turn up the pressure!" They cheered before water burst from the knob on the pipe and blocked the teenagers' path.
The Stone holders gasped as they saw a giant wall of water blocking them from the dinosaur. What they didn't see was Cy flinching at the sight of the water wall.
"It's too strong!" Anderson said, "There's no way to get passed!"
"Well if you can't go with the flow then you should just go!" Ha, ha, ha, ha!" Ursula mocked before the trio ran after the Ankylosaurus.
"Hey! Get back here, cowards!" Anderson shouted but the water was strong.
"Anderson, we need to find another way around," Cole said and the brunette sighed, knowing his friend was right.
"Hey, Ankylosaurus!" Spencer said, chasing down the Earth dino himself.
"It's my dad!" Anderson recognized before calling out his name, "Dad! Dad!" The paleontologist couldn't hear his son's cries as he ran by, most likely due to the water drowning out his voice.
"Anderson, we need to go!" Tiffany said as the Stone users began looking for another way around.
With Kierra, she decided to take the subway train as a way to search for the dinosaur. 'I can look for the dinosaur here.' She thought as she took a seat before yawning herself.
Later, she was fast asleep as the subway continued on going down the tunnel. She was the only passenger on the train at the moment. Suddenly the brakes began to screech as the train came to a halt, causing Kierra to jolt awake. The train shook around and finally stopped.
"Huh?" Kierra said as she got up, "I wonder where we are?" She asked as she looked to see where the train stopped.
In front of the train, the driver was looking to see what was blocking their way. "What'd we got up ahead? Did the tunnel collapse or something?" He asked himself while observing the brown mass.
The brown mass was none other than the Ankylosaurus who raised his tail and clubbed the front of the train.
"What the?! I'm getting out of here!" the driver shouted and leaped out the front of the train in time to avoid the armored dinosaur's rage. "What kind of animal is that?!" the driver said as he ran away.
The force from the impact was enough to shatter the train's lights and shake the entire transportation. "Wahhh!" Kierra screamed from inside the damaged vehicle.
Successfully recovering, Kierra looked out the door and spotted her dino, "An Ankylosaurus!" She ran to get her Dino Holder, in hope she could do something but the anky rammed the train again, causing her to lose her grip and the Dino Holder out of her hands. "Oh no! My Dino Holder!" She exclaimed before she was knocked back again by the 'fused lizard' ramming the train.
The attacks continued, each time the train was pushed back. Kierra was holding onto a rail as the whole train shook. It was too dangerous to retrieve her Dino Holder and right now, she would need a miracle to survive.
Her miracle came in the form of rock music, blaring through the tunnel. "Huh?" Kierra said as she was glad that her miracle had come at the right time. "Now what is that?!"
The miracle soon was not what she expected. The rock music came from the Alpha Gang on a railroad cart. Zander and Ed were currently pushing the device that makes it move while Ursula, as usual, sat on her throne and laughed maniacally.
"Ha, ha, ha, ha! It's amazing how much less stressful traveling can be when you have some good music to listen to." She claimed while Zander and Ed had scowls on their faces.
The loud music made the Ankylosaurus shake his head in annoyance as he tried to cancel out the music. Kierra took this time to see what was going on and bit her tongue, "Great, the Alpha Gang's here."
Ursula stopped laughing when she heard that, "Oh great, another one of the brats is ahead." She told her teammates as she pointed in her direction.
"Finally, an excuse to stop," Zander said,
"Maybe we could have a lunch break?" Ed asked.
"Right after we catch the Ankylosaurus. Ed, initiate capture!" She ordered before Ed took out his Alpha Scanner.
"Go, Kentrosaurus!"
A magenta colored Kentrosaurus with purple stained spikes and thagomizers appeared and gave a roar to signal her entrance. In the sewers, Anderson, Cole, and Tiffany noticed the signs that a battle had begun.
"Huh? You hear that?" Anderson asked his friends.
"Yeah, it sounds like a battle's just begun," Tiffany deduced.
"We got to find it!" Cole said before they all ran after the battle.
Back to the fight, the Kentrosaurus surveyed her situation before ramming the train. It was too narrow to go across so she had to go through it. If she was lucky, she could push it into the target and flush the brat(s) -as she had heard her teammates call them- out. Backing up, she charged again and slammed the train.
Inside the train, Kierra held on for dear life as the enhanced stegosaur continued on attacking the train. Back outside the Alpha Gang cheered for their dinosaurs. "Let's go, Slasher! Get your man! Surround it and point! Because you can, yay!"
The Kentrosaurus, now known as Slasher, turned around and looked back at them in confusion. "That is literally the worst cheer I have ever heard. Not to mention, he's not my type."
With Slasher distracted, Kierra took this moment to recuperate. "Maybe I can sneak through the front of the train. I think the Ankylosaurus left," she told herself.
This was proven incorrect as the anky slammed into the train once again. "Me and my big mouth," Kierra muttered.
With the two dinosaurus attacking the vehicle, Kierra mumbled to herself, "If only I had my Dino Holder, I could call someone for help." Soon enough she saw a hole big enough for her to squeeze through. She crawled in and met face to face with the armored Cretaceous dinosaur.
"Gah!"
The anky stopped his tracks as the brunette managed to get free and run to the side. The 'fused lizard' couldn't help stare at the female but briefly lost his concentration.
Something Ed took notice of, "The brat is getting away! And the Ankylosaurus is distracted."
"Not for long!" Zander said before grabbing the Scanner from his teammate's hands, "Spike Arrows!" he said as he swiped the Move Card.
Glowing purple, Slasher reared up before her tail began to shine purple, firing various energy-like arrows from her thagomizers. "Let's see you try to avoid these!"
The arrows were fired with precision, flattening the top of the train and striking the ankylosaur. When the arrows disappeared, Slasher triumphantly walked over to the front, "Not bad for my first mission. I don't see why the others are having such a hard time."
She probably should have kept her mouth shut as she saw the card was nowhere to be found, "What the?!"
"Way to go!" the Alpha Gang cheered as they ran over.
"Yeah, but where did he go?" Slasher asked.
"I think you beat it into the ground," Ed offered before the ground began to shake and the 'defeated' dinosaur roared.
"Don't you know it's bad luck to predict the battle before it ends!" Ursula scolded while shaking the man.
Slasher looked around to see purple rays shooting up from the ground and approaching her. When they were right underneath her, the Ankylosaurus' feet kicked up and tossed the Kentrosaurus in the air.
"Ok, now I see why," She moaned as she was flipped on the upside, her stomach exposed. And the Ankylosaurus added more pain by slamming his clubbed tail on the stomach before Slasher reverted back to a card. Seeing his opponent had fallen, the Ankylosaurus decided to find the two-legged mammal that interested him.
"That was impressive," the Alpha Gang said in unison.
"It would appear Ankylosaurus just used Mole Attack," Zander identified, "And that's tough to beat. Just ask Slasher."
"We can't lose!" Ursula growled, "Not this quick!" She ran over and picked up Slasher's card. "Oh, what happened?" She said before looking at Ed. "This is your fault, Ed, for jinxing it! And why are you just standing there? Go get the cart and bring it over here, now!"
The two men quickly ran to the other side of the crushed train and picked up the railroad cart and carried it over the train. "This is heavy," they both said as sweat poured down their bodies for all the hard work.
Once on the other side, they put the cart down and fell to the ground, panting heavily. Ursula, on the other hand, got on her throne again, "OK, break time's over. We've got a dinosaur to catch, so let's get this pathetic show on the road!" She declared.
"Guys, look!"
The Alpha trio turned to see Anderson, Cole, and Tiffany appear. Anderson was using his flashlight on his phone to give them light.
"You'll pay for what you did!" Tate growled, referring to the water pipe trick.
"Not you again. I thought I flushed you pesky rats down the sewer." Ursula said, unamused. "Cue the exit music." She told her minions while she slouched on her throne.
The rock music began to play again and the trio were off. "Let's follow them!" Anderson shouted and charged.
Tate was about to join in pursuit when he saw something sticking out the flattened train, "Hey, what's this?" He approached and managed to pull out the object.
"Kierra's Dino Holder!" Cole identified.
Everyone's eyes widened, "What?!" Anderson ran over to see if it was true. Sure enough, it was her Dino Holder. "What happened?! Where did you find it?!" Merlos asked rapidly.
"In the aftermath of what I assume is the battle."
Anderson paled at that as he finally realized the destroyed train.
"But I don't smell a body. She's not here," the t-rex said, easing his owner's worries.
"I didn't realize you cared so much about Kierra," Cole said with crossed arms.
"Nor did I…" Anderson said before taking the Dino Holder from Tate and continuing their search.
"Relax, it's Kierra," Tiffany said, "She's as tough as they come."
"Still…" Merlos muttered. The harsh words from this morning still ringing through his head. "Oh yeah! Well, it's better than being uptight like you!" Anderson hoped that his friend was okay.
In another tunnel, Kierra sat on the other end of tracks while catching her breath. "I'm going to have to get used to these near-death experiences." She began to feel helpless.
"If I hadn't dropped my Dino Holder, maybe I could get the Ankylosaurus to talk." She frowned. Kierra heard some distant machinery through the vents, "Man, the subway can be pretty loud… So I guess that Ankylosaurus had to sleep through that as much as I did. It's a good thing Anderson can't hear me right now, or he'd make fun of me again."
The sound of something approaching startled Kierra, who jumped as she saw whatever was coming.
The Ankylosaurus appeared, staring at Kierra with a tilted head. The female brunette gulped before trying something risky. She held out her hand and let the armored dinosaur sniff it before nuzzling into it with a purple aura covering them.
"You mammals are strange. I have never seen you walk on two legs before," the anky officially spoke.
"Well, I've had about two dinosaur encounters so it's not exactly the first response I've gotten," Kierra replied.
"Wait? You understand me?" the 'fused lizard' replied in shock.
"I guess I do," Kierra said, "Must have been me connecting with my stone."
"What stone?"
Kierra waved off the question, "Nevermind that. Let's get you out of here."
"How? I can't exactly see down here. It's not like a cave or anything, considering all that racket, you mammals got now in days," the anky huffed.
Kierra sweatdropped at the anky's cranky behavior before waving it off as a possibility from being woken up. Then she got an idea.
"Hang on…" the Earth Stone user said, "I think I know where we are." She began to lead her newfound partner to a certain location from the subway.
Meanwhile, Spencer made his way to the subway and was continuing to search for the Ankylosaurus.
"Hello? Ankylosaurus? Where are you?"
He soon heard the noise of a train horn and lights behind him. "Hmm?"
Turning around, he saw a train approaching right behind him. He exclaimed, "Yaa! A train! Run!" The paleontologist ran for his life while the driver had a panicked expression on his face.
If Spencer knew better, he would have just jumped to the side.
Kierra and the armored dinosaur soon made it to a bright exit that greeted the Ankylosaurus with a wonderful sight.
The sun was shining brightly and welcomed a nice large green pasture with some flowers blooming. It seemed to be an untouched place by human civilization.
"Wow…" the anky said in admiration. He was finally away from the noisy city life and in a peaceful setting. He slowly walked around before finding a relaxing position under some shade from a tree. "So… peaceful…"
Kierra nodded, "It sure is. Good thing, I remembered this spot. Trains occasionally pass by but here, you can relax for the time being."
"Hate to break it to you, but the only people are relaxing will be us once we snag that dino!" Ursula boasted as she and the men appeared on their trolley, still blaring music.
"How did you find us?!" Kierra clutched her fist as the anky turned around and readied to do some damage.
"With my superior hard work," the 'old lady' said.
"Whose hard work?!" Zander asked accusingly.
"Never mind that," she dismissed before pulling out an Alpha Scanner, "This time we have enough room for our big guns! Go, Suchomimus and Allosaurus!"
Suko and Allison appeared with a roar before glaring down at the 'fused lizard.'
"No way! You're not taking Tony!" Kierra said in defiance.
"Tony?" The Alpha Gang questioned.
"She's referring to me," the anky said. He and Kierra had discussed a name on the way to the pasture and Kierra thought about naming him Tony. Not that he minded, he liked the name. Making him sound tough.
"Yeah! Let 'em have it!" Kierra said and Tony rushed in.
The two carnivores charged themselves and met in a headlock. Tony had the strength for at least one carnivore but two was pushing it, as he began to lose ground. A quick break off and the anky swung his tail at the two theropods who dodged it. Alison attempted to bite the tail only to get hit in the face. Suko snapped himself but was clobbered in the leg. Tony then bashed them away, sending them back but on their feet and hissed.
"How dare you hit a lady?!" Alison roared.
"Ma'am, you're the one with fangs trying to bite me!" Tony retorted.
"Oh, cry me a river," the enhanced Allosaurus mocked before running all over the place. Tony lost track of her before Suko, having snuck up, chomped on his neck. The anky roared in pain as Alison managed to do her hit-and-run tactic all over again.
Tony managed to get Suko to back off and swung his club again but the enhanced Suchomimus avoided it and began to glow blue, courtesy of Ursula swiping a Move Card.
"Hey! Since when did you guys start using Move Cards?!" Kierra pointed at the trio.
"Since you decided to make things harder for us!" Ursula snarled before announcing the name of the move, "Water Sword!"
Suko formed a hydro-constructed sword with his mouth and swung it around, slicing through the armored dinosaur. Tony collapsed but managed to hang on.
"And that's not all!" the greenette said as she swiped another Move Card, this time for Alison.
The Allosaurus shined white and roared before picking up speed. She generated pink afterimages before vanishing. A light blue circle briefly formed around Tony before getting pelted on numerous sides and angles from the 'different lizard.' Alison eventually stopped and admired her handy work.
The receiver stumbled from the barrage of attacks and still held on but now he was panting from the two attacks the dinosaurs had landed on him.
"Tony!" Kierra cried. She knew she couldn't do anything as the two theropods closed in, baring their fangs.
"DINO SLASH! FLAME UP TYRANNOSAURUS!"
"DINO SLASH! CARNOTAURUS, BLOW THEM AWAY!"
"DINO SLASH! PARASAUROLOPHUS, BLOOM!"
Kierra had a look of hope on her face as she heard those battle cries while the Alpha Gang had one of horror.
Cy came in and rammed Alison away from Tony while Tate stormed onto the field and grabbed Suko by the neck, proceeding to slam him into the ground. Peyton caused the Alpha Gang to scatter by destroying the stereo that the Alpha Gang had used and the cart.
"Oh great! Not you again!" Alison whined as Cy pounced again.
"Oh, yes. Me again," the carnosaur replied with a smirk. He tail-slapped the allosaurid to the ground before jumping repeatedly.
"Can! You! Not! Break! My! Neck!" Suko argued as he was getting slammed into the ground.
"If you say so!" Tate replied and threw the enhanced spinosaurid away. Tony looked in surprise as the two new theropods were battling the sucho and allo. He was worried they were going to eat him but it seems that those instincts were gone for the moment.
"Kierra!" The purple-clothed girl turned to see Anderson, Cole, and Tiffany running towards her.
"Guys!" Kierra said in delight.
"Your Dino Holder!" Anderson handed her item and the female brunette was relieved that it wasn't totaled.
"Thanks, Anderson! Now, quick, help Tony!"
"You got it!" Tiffany said as she swiped Peyton's move card. "Nature's Blessing!"
Peyton summoned her healing powers before replenishing Tony's energy. While glowing green, the anky went refreshed and roared. "Thanks, hadrosaur! Now time for some payback!"
Tony glowed purple, jumped up into the air before spinning and digging in the ground. He kicked Allison away and did the same with Suko afterwards. Both enhanced theropods were sent tumbling and were weak.
"Ah!" The Alpha trio cried before the heroic dinosaurs reared up and roared at them.
"Let's go! Volcano Burst!" Anderson said, slashing Tate's Move Card.
"Cyclone!" Cole added.
Tate's mouth became fueled with fire and ignited Suko, causing him to collapse, "You would think Fire moves wouldn't be effective on Water dinos," he said before turning back into a card.
"Not again!" Alison shrieked and prepared to run but Cy caught her by the tail and swung her away, directly into the Alpha Gang trio and flattened them and carding the Allosaurus.
"That's just great…" Urusla muttered as they retrieved Alison's and Suko's card. Then they got up with reinvorigated energy, "But we have a back-up plan!"
"Again?" a combined voice of Anderson, Tate, Cole, Cy, Tiffany, and Peyton sweat-dropped. Were they going to try to tell Tony to attack them like they did with Simon?
That was not the case as Zander swung a lasso and wrapped itself around Tony's tail. "Hi-ya! Now that's how we cowboys do it back at the ranch," Zander smugly said.
"You've never been on a ranch, Zander," Ed pointed out.
"Well, uh, I've had ranch dressing," Zander answered before turning his attention back to the dinosaur, "Yee-haa!"
Tony was unamused, then a thought entered his mind. He began to swing his tail around which made the Alpha Gang shudder as he did so.
"You think he's wagging his tail like a dog 'cause he's happy?" Zander asked.
"Somehow I don't think so," Ursula lamented as they held the lasso for dear life.
Their answers came when Tony hoisted his tail into the air and sent the Alpha Gang flying away into the city.
"You would think they would know better," Tony remarked before meeting the Tyrannosaurus Rex, Carnotaurus, and Parasaurolophus.
The Alpha Gang was now hanging from a satellite antenna. Apparently, Tony had quite the distance to send them to that height. "Something tells me we aren't getting that Ankylosaurus," Zander muttered.
"Gee, really? What gave it away?" Ursula sarcastically replied.
"Well, one of the brats bonded with it," Ed explained.
"I wasn't asking!" Ursula argued before sighing, "I wish we were back on the ground." The moment she said that the antenna began to shake from her thrashing.
"Uh, Ursula?" Zander weakly said.
"What?!" She asked before the antenna snapped and they fell to the ground.
"Careful what you wish for!" Zander yelled while they fell.
Tate, Cy, and Peyton watched a chibi version of Tony snooze underneath the tree.
"You know, I don't blame him for wanting to sleep," Cy said, "It was quite noisy in the subway."
"Yeah, hard to believe me and Anderson slept through all that," Tate remarked.
"I think Tony wanted some peace and quiet," Kierra told her teammates, "He couldn't take all the noise of the city, so he went underground. But turned out to be just as noisy down there. Luckily, I remembered this place the subway passes. He's just like me, a little uptight. Right, Anderson?"
"Oh, I don't know," Anderson said embarrassed, blushing and scratching the back of his head before addressing his friend, "Uh, about this morning. I'm sorry I kind of got carried away," he apologized.
"That's Ok," Kierra assured him, "Thanks for getting my Dino Holder back. I'm sorry I called you clueless, 'cause that's not true at all. So all's forgiven, right?"
"Yeah," Anderson chuckled.
"Well, I'm glad that's over," Cole said.
"Me too. No more fighting, all right?" Tiffany told them.
"Hey kids!" They turned to see an exhausted Spencer on the field.
"Dad, where have you been?" Anderson asked.
"I managed to outrun the train chasing me. And now everyone has a partner!" Spencer proclaimed before crying anime tears, "Except me!"
The teenagers sweatdropped before Anderson asked another question, "Why were you gone earlier?"
"Well there was this sale for these dinosaur camping supplies-" Spencer started before realizing that he didn't have his bags, "Oh no! My bags!"
"Dad, relax. Tyler and Jackson saw you and took the bags to our house. What was in the bags? They didn't exactly tell us," Tate questioned.
"Something very exciting! Wait and see!" Spencer said excitedly.
Back at the Merlos household, the stuff Spencer bought was unpacked in the backyard, "Ha, ha, ha!"
"This stuff was your super important errand?" Henry asked, tugging the dinosaur tent.
"That's right! They're all extremely rare and I waited in a very long line, so be careful," the paleontologist warned.
"Don't worry, we will," Anderson said, tossing the egg pillow in the air like it was a ball.
"What are you doing?!" Spencer shouted before he snatched the egg from his son midair, "If any of this breaks I'll have to wait another year for it to be on sale again!"
"Sshh!" Tiffany hushed as she put a finger to her lips, "Keep it down!"
The reason why was because Kierra and Tony were currently inside the living room, sound asleep.
"You need us to come down to the lab?" Cole asked as he talked to Fiona over the Dino Holder.
"Yes, something that you all need to see," Fiona reported.
"We should wait till Kierra and Tony wake up. After today, they deserve it," Jackson informed. Everyone nodded in agreement at the statement.
Around 5:30 PM, the teenagers and their partners arrived at the lab where Fiona greeted them.
"Glad you all made it. There is something you need to see," Fiona said. She gestured for them to follow her to a door that wasn't there before. She placed a fingerprint before the door opened up and let her and the others in. What was within was something that took their breath away.
It was a large control room mixed with a gym. There was a panel that had many slots in them that were large enough to place the cards inside. And there was a large window. The team looked out the window and were surprised to see a huge simulated room that looked just like the days the dinosaur ruled the earth.
It was a mix of many biomes which were grassy plains, a savanna, a jungle, rivers, forests, beaches, a huge lake with a waterfall, and enough space for what looked like a whole herd of dinosaurs.
"What is this?" Anderson asked as he looked out the window to the large room. Wanting to investigate further, he called back Tate and placed his card into a slot. Immediately, he materialized full-sized in the large room and began to look around. His friends followed in sync, summoning their partners to full size.
Soon all six materialized in the room and began to explore. Henry and Tony, the latter now no longer cranky, began to graze on ferns, Cy and Tate began chasing each other around the trees, Peyton took a swim in the river, and Simon cannonballed into the lake, steering clear of the Parasaurolophus.
"Where did this place come from, Fiona?" Anderson asked again.
"I don't know. It formed around… say 1:30," she replied.
"That was when I got Tony!" Kierra realized.
"You guys think the stones made this place for the other dinosaurs we save to live?" Cole theorized.
"That seems most likely," Fiona deduced as she adjusted her glasses, "It's possible that the stones in your possession collectively formed this place for the dinosaurs."
"Thank goodness! I don't know what Mom would say if we keep bringing home stray dinosaurus!" Anderson sighed in relief before him and the others began laughing.
At Zeta Point, the Alpha trio were currently lying on the floor with large bumps on their heads from a large hammer after telling Dr. Z the brats had gotten another dinosaur from them.
"If you don't get those dinosaurs back along with the stones, I'll give you nimrods to Arthur! Understood?!" Dr. Z said sternly.
"Yes, sir." All three droned in pain.

AT LAST, THE TEAM IS COMPLETE. NOW THE REAL WAR BEGINS.
Next time on Dinosaur King: Paleontology Unearthed:
Dr Z: The Alpha Scanner has detected a dinosaur.
Spencer: Ah, the Amazon.
Tyler: Henry, where are you?!
(A chibi version of Henry stares down a crocodile)
(A Saltasaurus rears up, challenging his opponent)
And now the whole cast of partners has been set. I do plan to give them secondary dinosaurs which will be revealed during the Zeta Point arc.
Tony's personality is the same as Tank's: being tough, battle-hungry while also liking to nap. But he can be active whenever he smells a fight.
And meet Slasher, the enhanced Kentrosaurus of the Alpha Gang. She was introduced for the sake of the subway fight that Tank takes part of in the episode and feels the role as the 'digger' of the team for future episode. Now only one dinosaur is left to reveal for the Alpha Gang.
