Rise of the Grandmasters Episode 11: Thicker Than Water Part 2

On opposite sides of the Oil Ocean Refinery of the Badlands, the Sand Blasters and the Dark Egg Legion chapter are watching on how this fight is going to play out. On the Sand Blasters' side, they are simply relaxing as they watch the show.

Jolt turns to Jack and asks, "Boss? Hey, boss? How come we ain't storming the refinery?"

"Because the two varmints who're s'posed to be our back-bup are busy beatin' the tar outta each other. We didn't want them here, anyway. So we sit back and enjoy the show," Jack answers.

Soon the Sand Blasters begin laughing.

On the Dark Egg Legion side, Sonia, Matilda, and Beauregard are standing by as well.

"How long will we hold, position, Baron?" Matilda asks.

"Until Bunnie has the situation under control, or until she needs us," The baron says, looking through the binoculars.

He lowers them down and says, "Mah' li'l Nuns is growin up…"

Then turns to Sonia, "And holdin' her own against your cousin."

"I have to admit, Bunnie is stronger than before, but Eve is also giving it her all," Sonia says.

She sadly sighs, "But… I wish they didn't have to fight each other."

"Chao Chao," Jazz sadly says.

Suddenly, Jazz remembers something and turns to Sonia and begins talking, "Chao Chao! Chao Chao!"

"What is it, Jazz?" Sonia asks.

Meanwhile, Bunnie and Eve are really starting to fight things out at the refinery. Eve is sliding down the slide of oil. Bunnie dives down and breaks the slide. Eve quickly dodges with her powers.

Then says, "You're making this more complicated than it needs to be!"

Then Eve grabs hold of the pipe, "We trash this place, Eggman, loses, and we go home!"

"It ain't that simple! If the Sand Blasters get a-hold of this place…" Bunnie says, and swings her robotic arm at Eve.

Eve quickly dodges the attack, and Bunnie's robot is stuck in the oil tank.

Bunnie continues, "Then Eggman will come down hard on the Baron and his D.E.L Chapter!"

"Yeah. About that… Jack told me that the D.E.L used to be Robian, but they went back to Eggman. He said that it happened once they were back to normal," Eve says.

Then walks on Bunnie's robotic arm, "And of course, I'm not going to believe everything that rabbit said, and I'm guessing there's more to it than just that."

"You got that right, sugah-hog. The Sand Blasters abused them! The Baron had no choice but to go to Eggman for protection!" Bunnie says, pulling her robotic arm out of the tank.

Eve groans as she jumps over Bunnie, takes her hat and begins to free fall.

Eve calls out, "That definitely sounds like something Jack and his crew would do! I knew they were messing with the truth!"

Bunnie quickly flies down and grabs Eve by her arm.

Eve places Bunnie's hat back on her head, "But c'mon the D.E.L are 'bad guys'... well not all of them to be actually… anyway, we're just doing dirty work for them."

"The Baron's mah uncle, Eve. Ah cain't turn mah back on him now that ah found him again," Bunnie says.

"Really? No wonder. He looks a lot like you," Eve says.

"Thanks. I'm sure mah uncle will appreciate it," Bunnie says.

With that, they both land on the ground and have their hands pressed against the opposing side.

Then Bunnie says, "And yet yer right. We cain't let them maintain this place for the Doc…"

"And you've made your point too. I won't let the Sand Blasters take this place and leave your uncle or your group to take the heat," Eve says.

"It's be different if it was just us doing the same-old hero stuff…" Bunnie says.

"Yeah. Then there'd only be us to blame…" Eve says.

Suddenly, an idea occurs to both of then, and make smirks on their faces.

Eve turns to Bunnie and asks, "Hey Buns, you're thinking what I'm thinking…?"

"I know exactly what yer thinkin' sugah hog," Bunnie says.

"Despite how angry your uncle and the Sand Blasters are…" Eve replies.

Bunnie says, "I'm sure mah uncle will understand what we explain to him about the situation."

"Then let's," Eve says.

Bunnie then grabs Eve and tosses her with full force.

Eve dramatically says, "Oh, dear! I have been thrown with excessive force!"

Eve smirks and performs a spin dash, destroying piles, walls, pillars, and spatter oil to pieces. Eve then spins dashes up and spirals on top of one of the towers.

She then speeds her legs and says, "I'll get you back for that Buns."

"Yer such a ham, sugah-ho. I think Sonic's antics is rubbin' off on you," Bunnie says with a smile.

Eve jumps down and spin dashes, but Bunnie dodges making her smack down on the dock over the oil. In fact, the two are not only fighting, but also destroying the refinery.

Meanwhile where the Sand Blasters are, they are using the binoculars to watch the show.

Jack laughs, "Ha ha ha! That was a close one!"

Jolt however is practically begging them, wanting to see the fight, "Aw. C'mon, boss! I wanna watch! Somebody!"

Shift E gets annoyed and says, "Oh, fire upon you. I shall relinquish mine if it will silence your accursed prattling. "Then pass Jolt his binoculars.

Jolt happily says, "Thanks Shift…! You da man!"

Jolt then looks through the binoculars to see Eve and Bunnie are fighting each other as they destroy many of the pipes in oil tanks in their way.

"Oh, man! Oh, man! They're tearing up the place! Woo!" Jolt says, excited to see the fight.

However, that catches Jack's attention, "Yeah… they are…"

Jack decides to look through his binoculars again to see them fighting, but also destroying the refinery.

Jack soon puts the pieces together and is beyond mad, "Those low-down, scum-sucking double dealing…"

Seeing enough, Jack shouts to the Sand Blasters, "Start the jeeps! Weapons ready! Move in and take them out… NOW!"

Shift E. and Tex hurry to their own jeep as Jolt is frightened from the leader's shouting. Jolt quickly jumps into the jeep with Shift, and all three drive them into the refinery.

Back to the Dark Egg Legion, Jazz continues to explain to Sonia about what they know and what the Sand Blasters are planning. Soon enough, Sonia, Jazz, the Baron and Matilda notice the Sand Blasters are driving the jeeps into the refinery.

"Strange. Now they choose to move," Matilda says.

"Mmmm," Beauregard replies.

Then commands the Legion, "Power up the saucer, Matilda. We're moving in."

"Yes, Baron. Hopefully we will end the fight before the refinery suffers anymore collateral damage," Matilda says.

"Hopefully…?" Beauregard says, confused.

But soon realizes, "Wait…" and looks through his binoculars.

He also sees Bunnie and Eve that look like they're going to a brawl from a far, but close up, it looks like they're actually having fun, and hi five to each other.

He lowers his binoculars and says firmly, "Well… what did you expect, Beauregard? She said she was a Freedom Fighter… and she married a D'Coolette."

Soon enough, Sonia hears what Beauregard said after hearing Jazz's story to hear the fight.

Sonic says in thought, "Oh I see. This is what they're up to."

Then turns to Jazz, "Thanks girl."

"Chao Chao," Jazz happily replies.

Soon, Matilda drives the saucer into the refinery. Sonia and Jazz realize that Eve and Bunnie have been found out.

Back in the refinery, Eve and Bunnie continue to have their fight against each other. And soon they look down to see the Dark Egg Legion and the Sand Blast Freedom Fighters are moving in.

"Oops… looks like the jig is up, sugah-hog," Bunnie says.

"Aw, and I was having fun fighting you for my very life," Eve says and chuckles.

"Very funny Eve. We can always pretend you're brainwashed and we can tussle s'more," Bunnie says.

"Tempting, but since they're not going to believe us now, we might as well roll with it," Eve says.

"Alright enough joshin'. We've gotta do as much damage as we can before we're overwhelmed," Bunnie says.

"Right. Let's go handle those Sand Blasting Jerks, and get Sonia and Jazz," Eve says.

"Then let's do it, sugah-hog," Bunnie says.

"Make sure to watch your back!" Eve says.

With that, the two girls dive down and get caught in the crossfire of the Sand Blasters and the Dark Egg Legion Chapter. Eve looks around and is soon being pecked at by Jolt the Roadrunner.

"Ow! Hey! Quit it!" Eve cries out.

Jolt laughs as he runs around her, and says, "Not so hot against someone with real speed, are ya? Are ya? Are ya, Missus I'm-so-fast?!"

"We'll see about that?!" Eve says.

With that, Eve begins to pick up her speed and has caught Jolt into a tailspin. Eve continues to spin dash a wall and has made Jolt dizzy and collapses on the ground.

Eve dusts off her hand, "Not so fast now, huh little green birdie."

Suddenly, a spiky ball spin dashes at Eve. Eve quickly gets up to see the one who has rammed her is Tex.

Eve coughs and says, "Hey, Tex. Glad to see you, too."

With that, Bunnie punches Tex away, "Back off, gruesome!""

Bunnie turns to Eve and asks with a grin, "What was that… about watchin' my back?"

"I had the situation totally under control," Eve says.

Suddenly, a bear trap chomps on Bunnie's robotic arm.

"There, see? You weren't watching your back either," Eve says.

"Get a life, Shift," Bunnie then uses her robotic reflex to break off the bear trap and tear the sleeve of her jacket.

That makes Shift run away in tears, "Confounded cyborgs and their metal appendages! Brute strength foiling my genius!"

Once Shift is gone, Eve and Bunnie look at the damages on the robotic arm.

"Shoot… and I really like this jacket, too," Bunnie says.

"I'm sure Rosie can fix it up when we get back," Eve says.

"Eve! Bunnie!" Sonia's voice calls out.

"Chao Chao!" Jazz calls out.

Eve and Bunnie turn their heads to see Sonia and Jazz hurrying towards them.

"Are you both, okay?" Sonia asks.

"We're fine," Eve says.

"Don't worry sugah, we're alright," Bunnie says.

Jazz hugs Eve with glee, "Chao Choa."

Eve giggles and hugs Jazz back.

Unknown to Eve and Bunnie, Jack and Avery are at a distance away and Avery has a bazooka in his hands.

Jack says, "Avery, if you've got a shot, take it."

"But boss, this could wreck the place worse than they have already," Avery says.

But Jack says, "It'll be worth it."

"Right boss," Avery says, and aims the bazooka at the girls.

But before Avery can fire, the Baron sneaks from behind the pipes and smacks Avery on the head. That makes him lose his focus and launches the missile of the bazooka in the air.

Jack exclaims, "The Baron!"

With that, Beauregard grabs Jack by his wrist before he can fire the gun.

Jack angrily shouts, "You ungrateful, backstabbing… argh!"

"Don't you dare lecture me, Jack!" Beauregard angrily says.

Soon, Bunnie, and the girls hurry towards the two rabbits.

Bunnie cries out, "Uncle Beau!"

"Uncl..?" Jack questions, but screams, "Ow!" because Beaurgrard crushes his wrist.

The Baron turns to Bunnie angrily and says, "And you… Ah thought you understood! It don't matter what this refinery is for! It don't matter he's built a refuelin' station for somethin' bigger than anything he's ever flown! We need to protect and run it until he says otherwise. You're putin' the lives of my entire chapter at risk!"

"No, y'all did that the minute you sided with Eggman," Bunnie says, and takes the gun away from Jack.

"And personally, it's better that Eve and Bunnie destroy it than having Jack and the Sand Blasters take it over as their own," Sonia says.

"Huh, what do you…" Beauregard is about to ask.

But then Eve walks in and says, "The Sand Blasters were planning on taking over this place. And Bunnie told me what happened to you guys and what Jack and the Sand Blasters have done."

Unknown to the group, the missile that Avery accidentally launches in the air begins crashing down into the oil and sets off a big explosion close by, destroying the entire.

Beauregard shouts, "Now you've gone and done it, Missus D' Coolette! You and your friends have doomed us all!"

"No, we haven't…" Bunnie says.

Then crushes Jack's gun, "We stopped the Sand Blasters from gettin' this place."

"We also struck a blow to Eggman's plans… whatever they are," Sonia adds.

Then Eve says, "And we shifted the blame away from you."

"What?!" Beauregard says, shocked.

"It's true. Just tell the Doc I was involved, and you'll be completely off the hook. We go back home, and that will be the end of that," Eve says.

"Until we have another one of Eggman's plans to stop, and you and Sonic to wreck," Sonia says.

"That's true," Eve replies.

Beauregard then walks past Eve and towards Bunnie, "You cain't play both sides forever, Buns. One of these days, you'll have to face us as a Freedom Fighter."

"Ah know that, Uncle Beau. But not this time," Bunnie answers.

Then says, "It's the first time ah've seen you in years. Ah didn't want it to end in another fight."

Just then, the Legionnaires surround the group as they shout, "Freeze!"

But Beauregard calmly says, "Stand down. Give the order to fall back."

The Legionnaires follow the order and order a fall back.

Then Beauregard places his hands on Bunnie's cheek and says, "… Good-bye Missus D'Coolette."

"Good-bye, Grandmaster Rabbot," Bunnie says.

Then the two rabbits hug each other.

With heavy hearts, Bunnie leaves with Eve, Sonia, and Jazz from one side of the burning oil plant while Beauregard leaves from the other side. After the fight and getting to a safe distance, Eve can see the Sand Blasters in a far distance in their jeeps.

"Well… look at it this way: Jack's gang decided not to stick around… the Legion… is in full retreat… and, smoke aside, it looks like the refinery's mess won't spill over into the environment," Eve says.

Bunnie lets out a sad sigh.

"Are you going to be okay, Bunnie?" Sonia asks, concerned.

"Chao," Jazz sadly says.

She hugs and snuggles Bunnie's muzzle, "Chao Chao."

"I'll be okay. It's just, hard to deal with," Bunnie sadly says.

"We know. But you know, we helped out a group of Freedom Fighters, and stomped the plans of various jerks, and helped out a group of people in a bad position. It was a good day, Bunnie," Eve says.

"You're right, Eve," Bunnie says.

Then Sonia says, "And don't worry, we'll help in any way we can. We may have to stop them for now, but I'm sure once we stop Eggman, your Uncle and the others can be free from them."

"And we'll make sure to stop Eggman until the day comes," Eve says.

Bunnie smiles and says, "Thanks, y'all. C'mon. Let's go home."

After finishing their mission, the girls begin to head back home to New Mobotropolis.
