Rise of the Grandmasters Episode 13: Team Treasure Tango Part 2

One day in Blaze's home world of the Sol Dimension, there is a storm going on. The waves are moving rapidly, and dark clouds are rolling in the sky.

Just then someone calls out, "Whoa! Careful there, Marine!"

"Oi! You betta' be careful ya don't ding my dingy!" Marine's voice calls out.

At the docks, Marine the Raccoon, and one of the Koalas are trying to secure the boats from the storm.

The Koala jumps off the boat and says, "It won't be my fault! Everything's gotten worrisome since we lost the Sol Emeralds!"

"We'll be fine!" Marine says, tying the boat to the pole of the dock.

Then says with pride, "M'best mate Blaze is seeing about it. She'll find 'em all and get things fixed up right quick! You'll see…"

They both look out to see the storm is getting worse with thunder clashing.

Meanwhile on Mobius, The Freedom Fighters and Blaze find themselves standing face to face with Team Dark. Maria is still holding the emerald and is quite concerned to see Shadow with them.

Rouge says, "Make this easy on yourselves ladies, give it up. This Sol Emerald is mine!" and presents her hand out, trying to get Maria to give her the emerald.

"Oh dear," Maria says, concerned.

"Um Amy, wh-why a-a-are they here?" Cream asks, nervously.

"I don't know, but right now, they're a bunch of jerks who are in big trouble!" Amy says, holding out her hammer.

Suddenly, Blitz says, "Shadow. This is how you repay my generosity. You know how badly my world needs the Sol Emeralds."

Shadow has his arms crossed and his eyes looking down. Rouge can sense the reluctance in Shadow's eyes.

And yet Shadow says, "That was then. This is now."

"It's just business, honey. We don't want this to get messy!" Rouge replies.

Hearing this, Maria replies, "Oh dear, I guess Shadow still has a bit of a one tracked mind."

"Yes. One has done something, it's not easy for him to change his mind. Usually Eve is able to convince him," Cosmo says.

Suddenly, Blitz and Amy are set to attack as Blaze says, "Fine. You've chosen your fate."

"Okay, maybe a little messy," Rouge comments.

Then turns to Omega, "Omega, do your thing!"

Just then, Omega brings out his multiple firearms and begins firing at the Freedom Fighters, "Yippee-ki-yay, pastel-colored resistance!"

Blaze quickly gets in front of the others, "Get down!"

"Look out!" Cosmo panics.

"Grls!" Amy panics.

"Goodness…" Cream says, frightened.

Everyone quickly ducks their heads as Blitz uses her abilities to prevent the flames from attacking. Meanwhile, Nicole's computer pad is on the floor.

Nicole calls out, "Hello? I'm detecting huge spikes in heat. Is everyone alright?"

Cosmo, a little frightened, says, "That was close."

"I didn't realize Omega had this much fire arms at his disposal," Maria says.

Amy then turns to the girls, "Cream, Cosmo, Maria, find some cover, I've got to help Blaze!"

"We want to help too," Cream says.

"We all do," Cosmo says.

Maria nods her head, "I agree. Maybe I can convince Shadow."

Seeing what has happened, Omega says, "The Fluffy Cat Woman… trumped my barrage?"

"Huh," Rouge says, a little surprised.

Shadow glares at them and shouts, "Have you lost your mind?!"

"Relax! That was to scare them not…" Rouge says.

But before she can say anything, Rouge then fires her own fire power at Omega, making Rouge yelps, "... Hurt?!"

Soon, Omega falls on to robotic knees and is rather surprised.

"Such destructive power…" Omega says.

He then faces Blaze with his robotic claws together and says, "I like you! Let us burn things together!"

Blitz is rather confused that the robot has developed an infatuation towards her.

Unknown to the two groups, three familiar figures are secretly spying on them.

One of them asks, "What's going on now? How about now? Any more explosions? C;mon, Tell Meeeee!"

The second figure looks through the binoculars and says, "Just be ready to move when I give the word… so we can take these bozos by surprise."

Down below, things are starting to get heated. Distracted, Rouge is able to snatch the emerald from Maria. Rouge is about to fly away, but Amy acts fast and slams her hammer to the ground in front of Rouge. Rouge quickly steps back and loses her balance. Then she drops the emerald.

Cream quickly catches it, "I got it, Blaze."

Just then, Omega appears in front of Cream, "And I have you."

"Eeeeeek!" Cream yelps and throws the emerald at him.

The emerald bounces off of Omega and Shadow catches it.

"Drop it!" Amy shouts and hits Shadow with her hammer.

Then the Sol Emerald flies towards Blaze.

Blaze reaches her hand out, "At last…"

But Rouge skids at her, "Guess again, sweetheart!"

But Cosmo lands on Rouge and the emerald bounces off her head. Finally, Cheese is able to catch the Emerald in it's small hands.

Cream calls out, "Go, Cheese, go! We'll catch up to you!"

With that, Cheese begins to fly away out of the root cocoon and takes to the sky. Rouge and Blaze dust themselves as they see Cheese flying away, taking the emerald with it.

With a calm smile Blaze says, "You'll never track that tiny Chao through the woods. We win."

"I'll just take the consolation prize," Rouge says.

She then suddenly grabs Blaze's wrist and says, "You summoned the gray one just like this, right?"

Then Rouge has Blaze summoned the emerald.

"Don't…" Blaze panics.

But Rouge takes the emerald and passes it to Shadow, "Shadow! Warp us out of here!"

"Uh Rouge. Shadow. I don't think that's a good idea," Cosmo says.

But Cosmo is ignored.

Shadow raises the Sol Emerald and shouts, "Chaos Control!"

But suddenly, the Sol Emerald bursts into flames, pushing Team Dark away.

Blaze is able to catch it and says, "And that is why I am their guardian."

Seeing their chance, the group quickly leaves the root and hurries out.

"They were mean, but I do hope they're not badly hurt…" Cream says.

"They'll be fine! The robot probably enjoyed it!"Amy says.

"I have to agree," Cosmo replies.

She giggles and says, "I think Omega likes you, Blaze."

"And is very impressed by your fire power," Maria says.

"Yes, but I'm not sure about associating with uh, Omega I believe," Blaze says.

Once they're far enough, Blaze turns to the girls and says, "Thank you for all your help. I am indebted to you."

"All in a day's work for a Freedom Fighter," Amy answers with a salute.

"It was a team effort!" Cream happily says.

Maria sadly says to Shadow, "I'm sorry about how Shadow acted. He can sometimes have a one track mind. If I have to guess, I think G.U.N might have caught the emerald's signal as well and asked them to find the source."

Cosmo turns to Maria, "Maybe you can reason with him. You and Shadow are friends."

"I could try, but well, Eve told me that he can be kind of stubborn. I mean, I know he can be sometimes, but I'm sure we can reason with him," Maria says.

"I appreciate it. I know that he's your friend and Eve's brother, but I won't go easy on him if he tries it again," Blaze says.

"Right," Maria says.

Then Amy says, "Anyway, we need to get the emerald back and find Cheese."

Then turns to Cream and Maria, "Cream, Maria, you fly ahead and find Cheese while we climb out of here!"

"If you're sure…?" Cream questions.

"Sure I'm sure. We need to hurry before Team Gruesome recovers," Amy says.

"Okay! We'll meet you on the top!" Cream says.

Maria takes Cream's hand, and the young rabbit flies them all up to the top. Once on top, they both descend to the ground.

Cream calls out, "Cheese, we're here!"

But Cheese doesn't answer.

Maria calls out, "Cheese? Where are you…?"

When the two girls look ahead, they all gasp in shock to see Cheese the Chaos has been captured by the Hooligans: Nack the Weasel, Bark the Polar Bear, and Bean the Duck. Nack is holding the Sol Emerald in one hand, and is holding Cheese by the wings on the other.

Nack says in remark, "What did I tell ya, boys? Like taking candy from a baby!"

Then notices Cream and Maria, and asks in remark, "You lose somethin' little girls?"

At the same time, Bean is trying to reach the emerald, "Shiiiiiny…"

With that Cream charges at Nack as she shouts, "You put Cheese down this instant!"

"Gyeep!" Nack yelps.

But before Cream can attack him, Bark grabs a hold of Cream by the face. Then has Cream restrained in his hands.

Cream kicks her legs as she shouts, "How dare you kidnap Cheese! Don't hold him by the wings like that? Do you know how sensitive they are? And give back Blaze's Sol Emerald! We have worked very hard to get that back for her! This whole day has been nothing but rough-housing and rude people and I simply will not tolerate it!" which makes Cheese happily.

"Criminy, kid…" Nack replies, and a bit startled by Cream's outburst.

Maria hurries to her friends, "Let my friends go."

But before Maria can act, Bark holds Cream by her dress with one hand, and is able to grab Maria with the other.

Bean happily looks at Cream, "D'awww! Isn't she the cutest little floppy-eared, loud-mouthed, tiny-whittle-bitty fluffy you've ever seen?!"

"Oh, um… thank you?" Cream says, confused.

Then Bean recognizes Maria, "And look, she brought the cutest, adorable, yellow, sweetest, and cuddliest little blonde hedgehog with her."

"Um hi, Bean," Maria shyly says.

Bean falls to the floor and grabs Nack's leg, "Please, can we keep them, boss?! They can be our mascots! Ill feed them and take them for walks and name them Jorge and Mary!"

"Knock it off, Bean! I don't have time for your brand of crazy today!" Nack angrily says, trying to shake Bean off his leg.

"Hey!" Amy's voice shouts.

The group turns to see Amy, Cosmo, and Blaze climb out. Amy is not pleased and brings out her hammer.

Amy demands, "You let Cream and Maria go Right NOW!"

Seeing Amy with her giant hammer, makes Nack sweating bullets.

Then nervously says, "Oh no. Not her, not the hammer."

"Hey! It's shouty-hammer McPain! Bean happily says, "You wanna be co-mascots with Jorge and Mary!"

Nack quickly gets on his bike, "Everybody on! We're out of here!" and tosses Cheese on the ground.

The Hooligans jump on the bike and Nack speeds off, and they're taking the Emerald, Maria and Cream with them.

"Cream! Maria!" Cosmo says, frightened.

Amy says, "Oh no you don't! C'mon girls! After…." but Blaze speeds after them. "Them?"

Blaze uses her fire powers to speed towards Nack and his bike.

In his grip, Cream turns to Bark, "Excuse me, Mr. Polar Bear, but you're still holding us."

Bean turns to see Blaze heading right towards them, "Um, boss? Little Miss Flaming Lilac is about to…"

But before he can get a word out, Blaze rams at them, knocking them off the bike.

"... Never mind." Bean finishes.

Nack shouts in dismay, "My bike!"

Blaze lands on the ground as the bike crashes. Then the cat catches Maria and Cream in her arms as Nack smacks into the tree by the head.

Blaze breathes heavily and asks, "Cream… Maria… are you… alright?"

"We are now!" Maria happily says.

"Thank you Blaze," Cream says.

Blaze puts Cream and Maria down as Amy, Cosmo, and Cheese catch up with them.

"Wow Blaze, I know you're fast, but you were really fast this time," Cosmo says.

Then Amy says, "Whew! You're almost as fast as Sonic and Eve!"

"What? No, no. I'm quick, but not nearly as fast as…" Blaze says.

But Cream interrupts, "Excuse me, but where did the Sol Emerald land?"

Meanwhile, Bean ends up getting his tail feathers stuck in the knot on the tree. Bark walks over with Nack's bike as Nack walks from the opposite direction with the Sol Emerald.

"'Like candy from a baby' you said. What nursery did you come from, pal?!" Bean questions, annoyed and trying to get his butt unstuck.

Annoyed, Nack says, "I didn't think they had a freakin' Freedom Fighter with them, okay?!"

"You were spying on them! You didn't see the Piko-Piko Valkyrie with them?!" Bean shouts.

Nack adjusts his hat and says, "Don't get your ascot in a knot. We got the gem. We've got it made."

However, Amy has found them and says, "You'll be 'made' to hurt if you don't hand over that…"

But screams when something fires at her, but none of the attacks hit. Blaze and the others turn their heads to see Team Dark are back, and still have injuries from the Sol Emerald's attack.

Omega holds the machine gun hidden in his arm, "You should have kept running."

"The Emerald ladies. Now," Rouge sternly says.

Amy quickly says, "Wait! We don't have the…" But Shadow kicks her in the stomach.

Blaze picks up Maria as she runs away with Maria and Cosmo going their separate ways as well. Meanwhile, The Hooligans are watching as the fight is starting to break out, and it's looking intense.

"Wow. Okay boys, sneaky time," Nack says.

"Yes. Sneaky time is a good time," Bean says.

With that, The Hooligans begin to sneak towards the bike and about to leave. However, Maria, who is able to escape the blasting, notices the Hooligans leaving and still have the Sol Emerald.

Maria runs towards them and calls out, "Wait, you can't take Blaze's emerald!"

The Hooligans turn to see Maria hurrying towards the,

"Great, it's that little hedgehog again," Nack says, annoyed.

"Hey boss, maybe we can still take Mary to be our mascot," Bean says.

"No. I have a better idea," Nack says.

Maria reaches them and says, "Give Blaze back her Sol Emerald!"

"No can do kid, but you'll be coming with us," Nack says.

Then turns to Bark,"Grab her!"

Bark then grabs Maria and Nack drives off taking the Sol Emerald and Maria with them. Meanwhile, Blaze and Cream are hiding under the remains of the tree that Omega blasted down.

As he fires Omega says, "Please surrender! Think of the poor trees!"

Cheese then charges at Omega and bonks himself on Omega's head.

Blaze then attacks with her fire attacks, "Cream! Go!" and gives Cream time to escape.

Just then, Rouge kicks Blaze from behind, then elbows her on the head, knocking her out. Meanwhile, Amy tries to attack Shadow, but with his Chaos Control, he teleports before she can attack.

Amy continues to swing her hammer and snouts, "Quit teleporting and fight like man!"

But Shadow kicks Amy, knocking her down.

Amy quickly gets up and says, "Fine! I'll take you on with or without my…!"

But Shadow grabs Amy's hammer and smacks her on the head, knocking her out. Then Shadow picks up Amy and walks to where Rouge is pulling the unconscious Blaze by her arms.

She says, "Whew! After this, feist seems like nothing!"

"Hmph," Shadow replies.

Then the two have the unconscious girls laying back to back from each other. Just then, Cream and Cosmo arrive holding sticks as Cheese is holding a rock.

Cream says, "E-excuse me, but we can't let you do this. Blaze is counting on us, and…"

Just then, Omega grabs Cream and in one robotic claw, and grabs Cosmo and Cheese on the other.

Omega turns to Cream and says, "What do you plan to do, little squishy thing?"

Soon, Cream begins to cry.

Omega panics and says, "Please do not cry, tiny girl creature. I do not think I can handle that."

But Cream continues to cry and says, "It's no fair and you're all so mean! We don't even have the Sol Emerald anymore!"

"What do you mean, you don't have the Sol Emerald?" Omega asks.

Cream stops crying and sniffles a bit. Then answers, "Th-the smelly weasel and his friends… stole it from us."

Gaining consciousness and a little dazed, Amy says, "Nack the Weasel… and a couple of goons Bean… and Bark…"

"Don't," Shadow advises.

Cosmo says, "She's right, the Hooligans took the Sol Emerald."

"I know those guys. We can get it back from them easily enough," Rouge says.

"No…" Blaze says, regaining consciousness.

But Shadow says, "Stay down. Please."

But Blaze releases her fire power and says, "No! You can't! I did not brave the cosmic interstate and dodge the Zone Cops' blockage for nothing! Without the Sol Emeralds my world will die! And I won't let you, or anyone else stop me from getting them back!"

Cosmo looks around and notices. She looks around and is looking deeply concerned.

"Um everyone, where's Maria?" Cosmo asks, concerned.

Everyone looks around to notice Maria is not here.

Meanwhile, The Hooligans are still on the bike thinking they are making a clean getaway with Bean holding the Sol Emerald and Bark is holding Maria in his arms. Nack looks up to see a large red, gray, and yellow color massive metallic blimp, and it looks very familiar. Nack figures this is going to be trouble seeing the blimp.

Nack mutters, "Aw, no… not them!"
