Rise of the Grandmasters Episode 14: Team Treasure Tango Part 3

To recap what happened, Amy, Maria, Cosmo, Cream, and Cheese meet up with Blaze and agree to help her find the Sol Emerald that is the source of some strange signal. They meet up with Rouge to find the same source. When they find it, Rouge tries to take it, and Shadow and Omega arrive. Then, things get hairy when the Hooligans arrive on the scene. Now while the Freedom Fighters with Blaze end up feuding with Team Dark, Maria has been abducted by the Hooligans, taking the Sol Emerald with them.

Somewhere in the forest, Nack is driving the bike as Bean holds the Sol Emerald and Bark is holding Maria. Bean is so happy to have the Sol Emerald that he begins to sing cheerfully.

Bean the Duck:

Then bean leans to Nack's as he holds the emerald, "Gotta say, boss-man-chief-big kahuna, I was a little dubious when your get-rich-quick-scheme involved killer robots and flame-throwing cats and tiny pink girls with bi hammers…"

Then climbs to the back of Bark, and ends up choking him a bit, "... but you knew you needed the extra muscle, didn't'cha? And I do enjoy a good shiny-hunt! I could see this becoming the start of a beautiful partnership…"

He then jumps in front of Nack and passes Maria the Sol Emerald.

Then Ban angrily glares at Nack, "... But only if you acknowledge me! What are you so focused on?!"

"Trying to get away from them?" Nack answers, pointing his thumb towards the blimp chasing after them.

"Oh," Bean replies.

Meanwhile, somewhere in the Great Forest, once the Freedom Fighters and Team Dark realize that the Hooligans have taken the Sol Emerald, and possibly taken Maria with them, they come to realize that they waste their time fighting while they're getting away.

Rouge groans and says, "This is just marvelous. We're wasting our time here while Nack's gang gets away with my emerald?"

"Excuse me…" Omega replies, still holding Cream, Cheese, and Cosmo.

Blaze struggles to get up and says, "It's not your emerald! It belongs to my world!"

"Don't make us put you down again!" Shadow says.

"Hello?" Omega calls out,

Blaze glares at Shadow and says, "I have nothing to say to you!"

"Query?" Omega replies.

"I'm trying to help you," Shadow says.

Then angrily says, "And let's not forget the fact that Maria may have been abducted by them."

"It's not my fault those three took her!" Blaze angrily says.

Then Omega asks, "Can I let the tiny, squishy ones go now? I am afraid I will pop them."

"We appreciate the concern, Mr. Omga," Cream says.

"Yes. We do appreciate it, but we also appreciate that you can put us down now," Cosmo says.

Just then, Amy places two of her fingers in her mouth and blows a hard whistle.

She then shouts, "Listen up, people! Right now we've got to worry about Nack and his gang getting away! We can either track them down, or we can keep fighting and lose the trail! And also, instead of arguing about Maria, maybe there's still time to save her!"

Rouge calmly says, "Fine, we'll play nice."

Just then, Omega places Cream, Cheese, and Cosmo down.

Cream happily says, "Thank you for being nice, Mr. Omega!"

"Thank you," Cosmo says.

Omega pats the girls on the head, "You are too cute to eviscerate."

Curious Cream turns to Amy, "Amy, what does 'eviscerate' mean?"

"I'll… I'll tell you later," Amy nervously says, scratching the back of her head.

Then asks, "So! How are all of us going to track those jerks together?"

Luckily, Shadow says, "I have just the thing…"

Then walks away to follow his idea. Seeing her chance, Amy decides to follow him.

Amy asks, "Now that we have a second… How do you know Blaze?"

"We met on a mission. She helped me complete it and return home," Shadow answers.

Then Amy asks, "She helped you and now you're fighting her?"

"Yes," Shadow says, annoyed.

Amy presses the questions, "And you hear her say her world will fall apart without the Sol Emeralds, right?"

"Yes," Shadow answers.

Tired of being ignored, Amy grabs Shadow's wrist and says, "I thought you were one of the good guys! You want to save Mobius! Why wouldn't you save all worlds? I know that your sister would!"

Shadow pulls himself away and becomes deep in thought. Then says, "I… will do what I must. Now let me get our ride."

Shadow then walks away and is still deep in thought of what Amy says.

Amy crosses her arms with a calm look on her face.

Then says in thought, "You'll do what's right. I know it."

Shortly after, the group are on the trail to find the Hooligans who have taken the Sol Emerald and abducted Maria. While Shadow and Blaze use their speed. Rouge drives a black and red color motorbike with Amy sitting behind her. On the passenger car are Omega, Cream and Cheese, and Cosmo.

Cream turns to Omega, "Isn't this a lovely day for a ride, Mr. Omega? And you're so comfy, too!"

"Chao Chao!" Cheese happily says.

Omega then says, "Urge to maim: rising."

Cosmo looks, "I have to admit, this is a surprise to see you have a motorbike."

"I agree. This is a nice bike, Shadow. But why do you have it? You can keep up with Sonic and Eve!" Amy asks.

"G.U.N protocol requires one troop transport for each squad!" Shadow answers.

But Rouge says with a smirk, "Which is why you painted and maintained it yourself, right?"

"I really like that bike," Shadow says, showing a small smile on his face.

"Yeah, well, we can't go too fast on this terrain!" Rouge says.

Then turns to Blaze, "Hey, princess, think you could blaze the trail?"

"I will do it! I will do it!" Omega shouts, waving his robotic hand.

With that, Blaze accelerates her speed as a flaming trail is left behind.

"The poor forest…" Cosmo sadly says.

"What? She left trees standing," Omega says.

"I'm going ahead," Shadow says, and speeds off to catch up with Blaze.

There, he decides to talk to her, "Blaze. I want to apologize. I know your world needs the Sol Emeralds…"

"The oceans will boil, the island will sink, and the sky will fall," Blaze says in a serious tone.

"... I will admit, I didn't know that," Shadow replies.

Then says, "But my mission and world come first. I will fight you without regret."

Annoyed Blaze rolls her eyes and wonders, "I have to wonder why you are trying so hard to apologize, and how you and Eve are related for that matter. However, because you're Eve's brother, and Maria is your friend and likes to talk to you, I'll have to believe that you might rethink this." Then turns her head away.

Meanwhile, outside of the Great Forest, the Hooligans are still being chased by the giant blimp. The hatch opens from under the blimp and is dropping a bomb towards them.

Noticing it, Bean says, "Ooh! Ooh! They're dropping another one!"

"Oh my goodness! Maria says, frightened.

Nack continues to drive his bike, "C'mon, baby! Faster!"

The bomb drops to the ground and explodes, knocking everyone off the bike.

Bean laughs, "Wah-ha-ha-ha-ha! Yes! AWESOME!"

STOP MESSING UP MY BIKE!" Nack shouts.

Everyone lands on the ground, and Maria lands on top of Bark and he's holding the emerald in his hand.

Nack gets up and mutters to himself annoyed, "... Feather-brained idiots… I stole it fair and square…"

He walks to Bark who is on the ground and takes the emerald.

He turns to the sky and calls out in rage, "Try that again, I dare ya! You'll blow the gem to smithereens!"

Just then, three figures riding on boards fly out of the blimp.

"Aw, nertz…" Nack comments.

Just then, the three figures fly past them and send him spinning. Maria turns her head to see the three familiar Extreme Gear specialists and Treasure Hunters, the Babylon Rogues: Jet the Hawk, Wave the Swallow, and Storm the Albatross. Now Jet has the Sol Emerald in his hand.

Wave says, "Looks like my sensors were right after all!"

"Yeah-yeah. You found us something special," Jet says, looking at the emerald.

The hawk turns to Nack with a smirk, "Do why don't you back off like a good boy, or we'll…"

"Jet…?" Bean speaks out.

Then hugs Jet, catching him off guard, "Jettison Q. Hawkingtom! It IS YOU!"

"BEAN?!" Jet exclaims.

"And you brought the whole family! Quit the proud papa, ain'tcha, Jettison?" Bean adds, turning to Wave and Storm.

"That's not my name!" LET ME GO!" Jet shouts in rage, trying to break free from Bean's embrace.

Storm turns to Wave and Whispers, "Uh… I thought the Battle Lord took him out…"

Wave hufs and says, "No such luck."

"Where's your wallet? I wanna see photos!" Bean asks, excited.

Nack turns to Bark and asks, "Bark? Bike. Gun."

Hearing Nack's orders, Bark walks away, lifts the bike with his hands, brings it over, and roughly places it on the ground.

Nack scolds Bark, "Careful, ya big lug! She's a delicate lady."

Confused, Maria asks, "Uh, what are you doing?"

Just then, Nack tune brings out a special gun with a slightly long pole and attacks it," Alrighty then…"

Then points it towards Jet and Bean, "...say 'goodnight, pigeons.'"

Hearing the comment, Jet and Bean turn to see Nack with the gun.

"None of us are pigeons!" Bean shouts.

Seeing the gun, Jet shouts, "Sniper! Scatter!"

With that, the three Rogues fly away.

"Dang it, Bean!" Nack angrily says, seeing the cover is blown.

"You'll never hit something as fast as me!" Jet says.

Bean happily shouts, "Whee!" As he hangs on to the back of Jet's Extreme Gear.

"I've tagged Sonic and Eve more than once! You're nothin'!" Nack shouts.

Then Nack his sniper at Jet,

"I gotcha covered, boss!" Storm quickly uses his gear to prevent the attack.

Then smacks into Bean.

Bark swings his arms as he tries to attack Wave.

"Quit wrecking my gear! Let's grab the gem and let's go!" Wave angrily complains.

Holding the gem, Jet says, "If that'll stop your winning! Let's go, Rogues!"

"I'll plug you right between the tail feathers, you mangey…" Nack is about to fire, but Bean falls right on top of it.

Feeling dizzy, Bean says, "Excuse me, monstrosity. Do you have the times?"

"Movie!" Nack orders.

Soon, the Rogues are flying away.

"So long chumps! Thanks for doing the grunt work for us!" Jet mocks.

Storm gives them the raspberry, and Wave gives them a peace sign while standing on one hand. Down below, Bean shakes off the dizziness, while Nack is angrily.

He grits his teeth in anger and says, "Bark! You drive!"

Then grabs Maria's wrist, "Come on!"

"Um, okay," Maria says, confused.

Bark drives the bike while Bean and Maria sit behind Nack who is aiming the sniper at the Rogus.

He positions the gun, "Keep her steady… steady…."

Then sees his mark, "Gotcha!" And fires his sniper.

The blast from the sniper strikes at the Sol Emerald, and causes a strange reaction.

And catches Jet's attention, "What the…?"

With that, the emerald creates a powerful blast, and knocks the Babylon Rogues down on the ground. Nack and Bark are surprised, and Bean whistles in reply.

Nearby, The Freedom Fighters and Team Dark are still on their trail. Suddenly, Blaze senses a sharp pain on her chest and falls to the ground.

"Blaze?!" Shadow calls out concern.

Everyone quickly comes to a stop and checks on her.

Amy panics, "Oh my gosh! What happened?"

"Are you okay, Blaze?" Cosmo asks.

Shadow helps Blaze as the flame princess answers, "I felt something… react with the emerald…"

Amy helps Blaze up, "Will you be okay? Do you need to rest?"

"No… I can sense it's location now," Amy says.

Hearing that Amy says, "Okay. Shadow, carry Blaze. Rogue, step on it. We've got an emerald and a friend to find."

"Yes, ma'am," Rouge replies.

Shadow then picks up Blaze in his arms and the groups make their way to the Emerald's location.

Back at the open field, the Hooligans and Maria arrive to see the Babylon Rogues are knocked out.

Nack jumps off the bike and says, "Looks like I got three birds with one stone. Ha!" Then pick it up to see it in good condition, "And look! It's not even scratched! Gotta love these magical-macallits!"

"Hey…" Good to know…" Jet says, and coughs a bit.

Maria walks to Jet and asks, "Are you okay, Jet right?"

"Yeah, I'm alright. Who are you supposed to be?" Jet questions.

"I'm Maria. I'm actually a friend of Eve and she told me about you," Maria says.

"You're friends with Eve? What are you doing with those three?" Wave asks, curious.

Maria nervously says, "Nack and his friend kidnapped me from Amy and says.

"In that case you'll be coming with us," Jet says, picking up Maria and riding his gear.

Then says, "And we'll pick the gem out of the remains! Auto-pilot! Full bombardment!"

Just then, the blimp begins to release multiple bombs down on the Hooligans.

Nack panics, "No! Not like this! NOT LIKE THIS!"

Bark takes off his hat and places it where his heart is.

"Wow! Look at them all!" Bean says.

He waves his fingers and says, "And a-one! And a-two! And a one-two! All together now…"

With that, all the bombs explode approximately the same time, well except for one.

Bean says, "Perfect! Except you on the left! You were a little flat!"

That catches Wave and Mara by surprise.

"Did… did Bean just…?" Wave says, surprised.

"Yeah. Just be thankful he's more rogue than Armada!" Jet says.

Luckily, Maria is able to use the time to jump off of Jet's Extreme Gear and is able to get away.

This time, Nack has just about had it and places the stone on his head and puts on his hat as he says, "That tears it! You can back stab me, cheat me, kick me while I'm done…"

Then brings out his gun as the rest of his gang gather, "...But nobody tries to blow up my bike!"

"You want to rumble, you bent-tailed hack? Let's go!" Jet says.

With that, the Rogue charges towards the Hooligans with their Extreme Gears. Just then, something fires at them, causing the two groups to stop in their tracks .They turn to see the Freedom Fighters and Team Dark.

Omega who is holding out his firearm says, "Menace and masculinity reaffirmed."

"The Babylon Rogues too? This just keeps getting better…"

"Who invited those guys?" Jet questions.

Storm chuckles and turns to Jet, "It's too bad your girlfriend couldn't be here with that Pink Hedgehog."

Jet blushes and shouts, "Shut up, Storm!"

Back to the Freedom Fighters and Team Dark, they turn to see Maria hurrying towards them.

"Maria, you're okay!" Amy says, relieved.

Shadow asks, "Are you alright?"

"I'm alright, a little shaken up from what happened, but I'm okay. But Nack and his gang still have the Emerald," Maria says.

"That maybe, but it doesn't really matter?" Rouge replies.

"I guess not," Maria says.

"We're just glad to see you're safe," Cosmo says.

Then Amy says, "Still, If we team up, we can out-gun, out-hit, and out-speed them and end this quickly."

"Nice plan, sweetie!" Rouge says.

Then turns to her team and snaps her fingers, "Team Huddle."

Shadow places Blaze back on her feet and joins Rouge with Omega.

Once Team Dark gathers, Rouge explains, "The other two groups are nothing. We stomp the girls while they're overwhelmed and scram with the gem."

"You'd betray them twice in one day?" Shadow questions.

"I'm not letting that gem go! This is our mission, so get over it," Rouge sternly says.

Shadow is not very pleased about it, but isn't really in the place to argue, especially with Rouge when it comes to gems. Plus this is the mission from G.U.N after all.

Back to the Freedom Fighter's group.

Amy says, "They're going to turn on us, I know it!"

"Are you sure?" Cream asks, concerned.

"There's no doubt," Blaze says.

"If only there's a way we can convince them not to take it," Cosmo says.

Then Maria suggests, "Maybe I can talk to Shadow. And I'm sure Amy can help too."

"I'll help alright. Even if this is a mission from G.U.N, we need to convince Shadow that he needs to help Blaze save her world," Amy says.

Blaze says, "Then I'll leave it to you two, and see what the results are."

Where the Rogues are, Storm asks, "Orders, boss?"

"Leave 'em in the dust!" Jet answers, putting on his goggles.

At the Hooligans, Bark cracks his knuckles.

Bean brings out his bomb, "I make boom now, yes?"

"Oh yeah. You make lots boom now," Nack says, narrowing his eyes.

Team Dark charges.

Rouge calls out, "Get me that Sol Emerald, boys! Take them all down… no prisoner!"

Then mutters, "Well, except one blonde hedgehog…"

The Freedom Fighters charge as well.

"C'mon, ladies! For Blaze and her world! Don't let anybody stop you!"

The Babylon Rogues fly on their Extreme Gears.

"I don't care who's who! Beat 'em to the finish line and get that treasure, Rogues!" Jet says.

Finally The Hooligans.

"I am so tired of this mess! Beat 'em all back, take 'em down, or you don't get paid!" Nack says, bringing out his blaster.

And with that, the final fight for the Sol Emerald begins. Who will be the victor in this four-way brawl?
