Hedgehogs Colors Saga Episode 2: The Lost Jade Wisp

Agreeing to help their new friend, Yacker, Sonic, Eve, Tails, Maria, and Jazz begin to explore one of the planet's attractions to Eggman's amusement park. They all ride the train car up and are on an important mission to free the Wisps and stop another one of Dr. Eggman's plans from whatever he is doing. The first planet they've arrived on is a place called Sweets Mountain.

"Wow!" Everyone shouts in amazement.

When they arrive, they see that the climate of the planet is practically made of sweets like cake, ice cream, and all kinds of candy.

"So this is Sweet Mountain. Wow. It looks like a planet sized candy store," Sonic says.

"It looks so pretty," Eve says.

"Wow. There are so many different sweets and goodies," Maria says.

"Chao Chao," Jazz happily says.

"It's amazing. A planet that's made of sugary sweets and goodness," Tails says, looking around in amazement.

Eve looks around, "I wonder if all of these sweets are real."

Maria walks to one of the walls and picks out a piece of candy. She then puts it in her mouth.

Maria smiles from the taste, "Hmm, it's real. It tastes sweet."

"Really?" Eve says, confused.

Sonic then takes out a piece of cake from the landscape and eats it.

"You're right. And this one tastes like chocolate," Sonic says.

Eve eats a strawberry, "It's very sweet."

Jazz and Yacker eat the sweets as well. Even Tails is eating a cookie.

"Eggman sure picks a sweet planet to find," Eggman says.

Eve groans, "Serious Sonic."

"What?" Sonic questions, shrugging his shoulders.

Eve turns to Tails, "So Tails, were you able to fix your device?

"Yeah. After checking the wires and the bolts, I was able to fix the translation to work one hundred percent," Tails says.

"Sounds good to me," Eve says.

Suddenly, they begin to hear a strange sound.

"What's that?" Tails asks.

The group turns their heads to see someone is heading their way.

"I don't know, but it's heading right towards us," Sonic says.

Just then, appearing in front of them is a red wisp. The Red Wisps have heads that each look like a flaming teardrop with two small spikes at the top. They also have three blue eyes that form a triangular pattern on their heads. They also have three flame-like tentacles that stem from their bottom.

"It's another Wisp," Maria says.

Yacker comes up to the Red Wisp and the two start talking. They seem to be close friends and are happy to see each other.

Sonic then asks, ""Hey, Yacker! Who's that?"

Yacker begins to talk in his language.

Tails brings out his pad for the translation, and luckily, it works better now.

Tails reads the translator, "Yakcer says he's a friend. He's a Red Wisp."

"There must be a lot of wisps here too," Eve says.

"Yeah, he looks and moves nothing like Yacker," Sonic says.

Just then, Yacker begins talking to them again.

Tails translates, "Hmm, he's saying 'Red Burst,' but I don't really know what that means…"

"Red Burst?" Eve says, confused.

Then Yacker starts talking again.

Before anyone can say or do anything, the Red Wisp absorbs itself into Sonic's body.

Then Tails says, "The power of flame, he says! And now you can use it, too!"

"So basically it can turn Sonic into a flaming fireball," Eve replies.

"Exactly," Tails says.

"Nice! That sounds fun. Maybe I'll go singe off Eggman's ugly mustache!" Sonic says.

Soon, the others begin laughing.

"Well then, let's give it a try," Eve says.

"Alright, here I go!" Sonic says.

With that, Sonic speeds away as he turns into a flaming fireball.

"Hey Sonic!" Tails calls out.

"Wait for us!" Eve adds.

Everyone speeds off to catch up with Sonic. Just then, Yacker absorbs himself into Eve's body and her speed accelerates to catch up with Sonic.

"Sonic! Eve! Wait for us!" Tails calls out.

Sonic who is now a flaming fireball bashes through a lot of the sweets and goodies as Eve uses the boost power to catch up with him. Of course, along the way, they also come across some of Eggman's robots, so they bash and crash at them as well. Soon enough, Eve is able to reach Sonic, even though he's a speeding fireball.

Eve calls out, "Sonic, slow down! The others can't catch up to us!"

With that. Sonic bashes a few more of the sugary structures and turns back to stop in his tracks. Eve soon stops using Yacker's power. Then both Wisps leave the two hedgehogs' bodies.

"Wow. That was awesome!" Sonic says, excited.

"Yes. It does seem exciting, but not when we leave the others behind," Eve says.

Just then, Tails is able to fly over with Jazz and Maria at tow.

"There you guys are," Tails says as he places them down on their feet.

"So did the new ability go?" Maria asks.

"It was great," Sonic says.

"It was fun, but we gotta figure out more about Eggman's plans," Eve says.

"Now could Eggman be?" Sonic wonders.

Suddenly they begin to hear screaming.

"What was that?" Maria wonders.

Everyone looks around as they hear the sound of someone screaming. Suddenly, the group turns in the same direction and something rams into Eve, pushing her to the ground.

"Eve?!" Sonic reacts in surprise.

Jazz panics, "Chao Chao!"

Tails asks, "Are you okay?"

Eve groans as she sits up, "I'm okay?"

Then rubs the back of her head, "I felt like I got the wind knocked out of me."

"Uh Eve, what's that on your lap?" Sonic asks, scratching the back of his ear.

"Huh?" Eve says, confused.

Eve looks down to see a frightened wisp on the lap and seems coiled up and is shaking like a leaf. The wisp before them is a light jade color who has a hood-like head with a pointed, zigzag protrusion that extends backwards from the top, and three tentacles that are wide near the middle and end in a jagged point.

"It's a Wisp," Maria says.

"Poor little thing, it must be very scared," Eve says.

She pets the wisp, "There there, it's okay."

The little wisp slowly stops shaking and looks up to reveal the lack eyes and has a wide, sharp fanged-like mouth in the style of a jack-o-lantern.

The little wisp look around to see Eve along with the others. It looks very scared, until it notices Yacker and the Red Wisp

The Jade Wisp happily flies to Yacker and the Red Wisp and the three begin talking with smiles on their faces.

"Well, it's good to know that they're friends, but what's it doing here?" Sonic replies.

"I'm not sure," Eve says, and stands up on her feet.

Eve walks up to it and asks, "Um little wisp, why were you flying here so fast?"

The Jade Wisp sadly lowers her head and begins to cry.

Tails looks at his computer pad to see the translation, "According to the little wisp. She's a Jade Wisp."

He then gasps, "And her friends are in terrible danger."

"Danger?" Maria says worried.

Eve turns to Jade and asks, "Did something happen?"

The little Jade Wisp seems a bit nervous. Yacker begins to talk to Jade. Yacker, Red Wisp and Jade Wisp talk to each other, and Jade seems to feel less nervous.

Jade flies to Tails and Eve and begins talking.

Tails looks at his translation and says, "Jade said she can explain to them what happened."

"Alright uh, wait, who's Jade?" Sonic questions with a confused look.

Eve giggles, "It's what I decide to call her. I've decided to call her Jade."

Jade nods her head and allows Eve to hold her in her arms. Jazz sits on Eve's shoulder.

Sonic chuckles, "I think she likes it."

Tails turns to Jade, "Alright Jade, think you can tell us what happened?"

Jade nods her head and begins to explain her story.

Tail translates, "Alright, Jade said that she and many of her friends have been caught by an evil many and have trapped them in capsules."

"I have to guess it's Eggman," Sonic says.

"Right," Tails says with a nod.

Then Jade continues as Tails translates, "She remembers that she and her friends were captured in the capsule and were taken to some factory… or an odd building…"

Flashback:

Somewhere on Sweet mountain, a conveyor belt hatch opens up as the conveyor belt begins to move. Carried on the conveyor belt are numerous Wisps trapped inside the Wisp Capsule. Once they reach the end, they're dumped inside of a pile of more captured Wisps. Just then, Cubot comes over and picks up two of the capsules . Orbot grabs two more and carries them to some strange machine. Orbot places the capsule in the machine, sucking the Wisp into the machine of a large tank. Then the machine turns on and begins to do something to the wisp.

Among the captured wisp, Jade along with her friends who've been captured are shocked to see the event happening to their friends.

As Orbot watches the machine do it's work, Cubot crashes into him, causing the capsules to fall to the ground, allowing three Wisp to be free from their prison. The White Wisp attempts to escape and reaches the door, but soon tries to come to a stop and is caught by Eggman. Orbot and Cubot stop what they're doing to see Eggman walking inside with the captured Wisps. Then Eggman grabs the other Wisps who escaped and takes them to the machine. Once at the machine, Eggman shoves them inside with their other friend. He then presses a button on the machine and activates the procedure on the Wisps.

Suddenly Tail's voice appears as Eggman laughs, "Ho Ho Hooo!"

Sonic simply laughs and says, "Wow."

Flashback Ends:

Everyone looks at Sonic who simply laughs at Tails' Eggman impression.

"Excuse me?" Tails questions.

Then Sonic says, "Oh, sorry. I was just like, into the story, and then that Egghead impression took me right out of it."

Maria giggles in reply.

"I have to admit, your Eggman impression could use some work," Eve says.

"Okay, then," Tails says.

Then turns to Sonic, "Would you like to read Eggman's lines?"

"What? No, no, no," Sonic calmly denies.

But then quickly says with a grin, "I mean, if you insist."

He then takes Tails' Mile Electric from Tails.

He clears his throat and says, "I've been practicing, y'know."

"I sure do. Endlessly," Eve says, rolling her eyes with a grin on her face.

Jazz says confused, "Chao Chao?"

"It's just another way for Sonic to make fun of Eggman," Eve says.

Jazz nods her head understanding Sonic's imitation.

Flashback:

Eggman maniacally laughs as Orbot and Cubot clap for him.

Sonic begins imitating Eggman, "Ho ho ho ho hoo! You see? Once each of these alien drainers is filled to the brim, I'll have enough energy to power a whole army of my stupid machines!

"Uh…" Tails imitates Orbot.

Sonic continues to imitate Eggman, "Of course, I'd have more if you hadn't dropped so many capsules, but I guess that's the most I can expect from the garbage I invent!"

Orbot says in Tails' voice, "Uh, Sonic…"

Sonic continues, "Sonic! Where?! Dohhh, he's gonna kick my butt!"

Then Eggman tip toes in a panic.

Flashback Ends:

Sonic imitates Eggman's tip-toeing from the flashback. Eve and Maria cover their mouths and try their best not to laugh.

Tails sighs and says, "Sonic. Would you like to stop ad-libbing, please? Just read what the translator says."

"Well, the direct translation was a little dry, okay?" Sonic replies.

And Yacker takes the computer pad away as Sonic says, "I'm just spicin' it up."

Just then, Jad begins to cover her face as she cries.

Eve hugs Jade and says, "There there, it's okay."

"Chao Chao," Jazz sadly replies, patting Jade on the shoulder.

Then Tails says, "This poor Jade Wisp is telling us her tragic story. Let's be respectful."

Yacker gives Tails back his Miles Electric and helps Eve and Jazz comfort Jade.

Sonic decides to lay down and says, "Ugh. Fine."

Then say to Jade, "Hey, Jade, feel free to throw in a joke or a car chase or something to keep it interesting."

Tails sighs and turns to Jade, "Sorry. Please continue."

Jade continues to explain to Tail what happened.

Tails reads Jade's translation, "Eggman left right after that. He hopped into a cool car with flames on the side and drifted away, but then it exploded, and then suddenly a dinosaur appeared?"

Sonic sits up in surprise, "Whoa, really?!"

But soon realizes, "Wait. You're just making it more interesting for me, aren't you?"

Jade nods her head in reply.

"Haha," Sonic says, making a clicking noise and pointing his finger at Jade.

"Nice one, Jade," Eve says.

Maria giggles in reply.

Then Jade continues as Tails translates, "But before he left, he put another robot in charge of the others."

Flashback:

In Eggman's base of Sweets Mountain, the doors have opened to reveal a familiar figure with glowing red eyes behind a cloud of fog.

Tails continues and reads, "He called him…" But Tails gasps and says in concern, "Oh, no."

The figure steps forward to reveal Metal Sonic stepping into the building.

Orbot floats over in excitement, "Metal Sonic! Sir! What a—"

Suddenly, Cubot screams, "GOOD! GREAT! AWESOME!"

Orbot continues, "—honor it is to work with an—"

"OUTSTANDING!" Cubot shouts.

Orbot continues, "—marvel of engineering such as yours—"

"AMAZING!" Cubot adds.

Orbot sighs and says, "Pay him no mind. His voice chip has been on the fritz, you see".

"ROCKET!" Cubot shouts.

"Now, is there anything we can do to make your time with us more pleasant?" Orbot asks Metal Sonic.

Metal Sonic simply moves his eyes with no response.

Orbot remembers, "Ah, yes, of course! Our jobs! We've just got to get these Wisps processed and shipped out across the planet. And Eggman asked very sternly that we not do it like complete 'bumbling imbeciles.'"

Then Orbot and Cubot pick up some of the Wisp capsules.

"But don't you worry, Big Bro," Orbot replies with a grin.

Then asks, "Can I call you Big Bro?"

Then says, "Anyway, we aren't bumbling at all, are we, Cubot?"

Cubot carries two of the capsules, but fumbles with the capsules as he falls down. Metal Sonic then takes the capsules Orbot holds.

"Uh…" Orbot replies and follows Metal Sonic.

Once they're gone, everything seems quiet. Suddenly, a Blue cube shaped wisp with three yellow eyes, and small cube legs appear wearing a headband pops out behind the table leg. Then it makes a sound. With that, a Cyan Wisp, and orange, Wisp, a Green Wisp, and a Pink wisp, wearing different rebel-like attire fly out from their hiding place. The Wisps work together to help get the wisp free. The Green Wisp hovers upward with the capsule holding Jade. The cyan Wisp shoots across the room with a laser streak, and the Orange Wisp rockets away with the other capsule.

The Wisps return to the Blue Wisps with the capsules. On the Blue Wisp's command, the Yellow and Pink Wisps use their abilities to destroy the capsules, freeing the Wisp. Jade is very delighted at the Wisp resistance and decides to assist them. She flies down to Cubot and uses her ability to absorb herself into Cubot. She uses her power to make Cubot transparent, causing the capsule to phase through his hands. Jade quickly leaves, as Cubot tries to grab the escaping Wisps.

Orbot notices and says, "Honestly. What did I just say about bumbling?"

The Wisps start to fly out of the back through a cracked-open hatch.

Jade starts to leave a well, and turns to the Wisp resistance to say their goodbye. But the group begins to panic. Unknown to Jade, Metal Sonic is standing right behind her. Jade senses something and turns around to see Metal Sonic approaching her with his glowing red eyes. Jade becomes spooked and flies away before Metal Sonic can catch her. The wisp resistance quickly flees as Jade tries to approach her. Jade quickly runs away as Metal Sonic tries to capture her. Meanwhile, Cubot is trying to capture the White Wisps.

Orbot calls out, "Cubot! That one!"

Orbot is able to capture the White Wisps and stuff them under his arm as Cubot chases after them.

Orbot turns around, "Huh?"

And Cubot crashes into him, and they both fall to the ground, making Orbot let out a grunt in pain.

Then says, "Big Bro, I bumbled!"

Metal Sonic, holding the capsule, reaches out and captures the rebel Pink Wisp and then the yellow wisp. He then grabs the Cyan Wisp, who struggles in his hand. Then Metal Sonic places it in the capsule with the other four of the Wisp resistance who've been captured.

Suddenly, Orbot's voice is heard, "Little Wisps…"

Jade fearfully hides from the robots and tries to escape before the robots can notice her. Suddenly, she stops into a dead end of Wisp capsules. She fearfully turns around to see Metal Sonic has her cornered. Before Metal Sonic can capture her, the Blue Wisp turns into a giant cube and blocks Metal Sonic's way. Metal Sonic begins to hack and slash at Blue Wisp, but the Blue wisp continues to hold Metal Sonic. The Blue Wisp shouts something to Jade, who fearfully flees as Blue Wisp remains at Metal Sonic's mercy.

Tails continues to read Jade's story, "He sacrificed himself for me, even though it was all my fault."

Flashback Ends:

"Oh," Tails says sadly.

"That's awful," Maria says.

With that, Jade begins to cry. Yaker, Red Wisp, and Jazz try to comfort her.

Tails reassures her, "It's okay. Sonic and Eve are gonna save him. No, all of them!"

You be we are," Eve says.

Then turns to Sonic, "Right, Sonic?"

However, Sonic has turned away from them with his arms crossed and a frown on his face.

Eve calls out, "Sonic, are you listening?"

"Yeah," Sonic says, and turns around with a stern look on his face.

Then says, "The only part I didn't hear was where I can find these creeps and aggressively recycle them."

And slams his fist on his other hand.

Eve then turns to Jade, "Jade, do you think you can tell us where the Wisps have been taken."

Jade begins to talk and Tails translates, "I can lead you right to them."

"Great! I have a zero tolerance policy on bullies." Sonic says.

He stretches and says, "We'll save your friends! Just, please, no more stories."

He jumps and positions himself to take his leave, "Now, let's get going!"

With that, Sonic leaves in a flash. Eve, Tails, Maria, Jazz, Yacker, and Red Wisp agree and begin to head off to find the captured Wisps and save them. Jade turns her head and is very worried for all her friends and the resistance who've been captured.

Meanwhile, Metal Sonic places the capsule with the Blue Wisp of the resistance into the machine. The wisp is sucked inside, and the machine activates with Metal Sonic watchmen.
