Hedgehog Colors Episode 5: Neon Lights and Mind Control
Somewhere in Eggman's amusement park, Dr. Eggman is hard at work on the structure of his amusement park, as well as a secret project he's been working on. He has his Egg Mobile set up and has some purple and gray color ray guns attached to it. Once he's finished working on it. He activates the ray that ends up pointing at Cubot. And yes, Eggman is able to fix both Cubot and Orbot after the incident on Sweets Mountain. The gun activates and fires, a purple energy hits Cubot.
In the matter of seconds, Cubot says, "Curse you, Sonic and Eve! You'll both rue this daaay!"
Eggman laughs, "Oh ho ho! A success! With enough energy, even robots are controllable! And…"
Then turn off the machine.
Cubot looks at Eggman and asks, "Who's this guy? Heh, he looks like a hardboiled egg with a mustache!"
"You bucket of bolts!" Eggman angrily says, "One little experiment and you forget who I am?"
"I wouldn't say 'forget.' He never seemed to grasp that you were his boss," Orbot mutters to himself.
"What?!" Eggman questions, glaring at Orbot.
Orbot quickly says, "Nothing."
"If you've got time to chatter, go power up my mind-control cannon!" Eggman says.
"Don't get your shorts in a knot. It's already at around half juice, boss," Orbot says.
"Half?" Eggman questions.
Then shouts, "HALF?! What the devil have you slackers been doing? Get to work!"
The two robots quickly say, "Yes, sir! And we totally weren't playing in your theme park, sir!"
"You got it partner," Cubot adds.
Then the two robots leave the scene.
"Absolutely useless…" Eggman mutters, annoyed.
But says with satisfaction, "But things are going well. Almost eerily well! Hoo ho ho ho!"
Eggman then types the keyboard on his monitors. Soon, it shows a few security cameras to see Sonic, Eve, Tails, Maria, Jazz, and Jacker going inside the elevator to the Starlight Carnival.
Eggman grins evilly and says, "And I think it will be a good opportunity to give these annoying hedgehogs and their friends a little demonstration."
In the elevator, Sonic, Eve, and the others are waiting on the elevator for their next destination, the Starlight Carnival. Eve and Maria look out the window to see the elevator exploring from the Sweet Mountain to the Starlight Carnival.
Maria says, "I wonder if we're there, yet."
"I'm sure we'll be there soon. We'll just have to wait until we get there," Eve says.
Suddenly, they hear Eggman's voice appear on the elevator's speaker, "Next stop: The Starlight Carnival. The sheer scale of our illuminated space fleet is sure to make you feel small and insignificant by comparison."
"Wonder what that means," Sonic replies.
"Don't know. We'll find out soon enough," Tails says.
With that, the elevator arrives at the station. Once the elevator stops, Sonic, Eve and the others walk out of the elevator and down the station. They walk through a large metal tunnel and notice something strange. As they walk, they notice the landscape is being turned upside down.
"Uh, does anyone have any idea what's going on?" Sonic asks.
"It's like either the landscape, or us are being turned upside down," Eve says.
Soon enough, the group reached the edge of the tunnel. To their shock and amazement, they see the Starlight Carnival. There are multiple different airships and aircraft with neon lights and colors. As well as a large statue of an archer wearing a green outfit, and has the bow and arrow in hand, ready to fire the arrow. Of course, they also notice Eggman's robots and other machines on some of the air ships.
"Wow. This place looks so pretty," Maria says.
"It's amazing," Eve says.
"And very bright, it's blinding. I might need my sunglasses for the scenery," Sonic says.
"I have to agree," Eve says.
"Chao Chao," Jazz says.
Yacker then begins to talk to Tails.
Tails says, "According to Yacker, many of his friends have been taken to those airships."
"Then it looks like we'll have to get to those airships to free them," Sonic says.
Maria asks, "But um, how are we going to get around the ships. There doesn't seem to be many places to get to there."
"Hmm… I wonder," Eve replies.
Eve slowly steps out of the tunnel's ground. When she feels the edge of it, a digitized, and shimmering path appears before them.
"Hey guys, look at this," Eve says, and walks off the tunnel as the path appears.
"Woah! The path appears when you begin to walk out of the tunnel," Sonic says.
"It appears that when you walk into thin air the path appears. It will be best to stick together as they walk along the path," Sonic says.
"Walking?! Who says we're walking? With a path like this, I say running is the best way to go," Sonic says.
"I agree. It looks like fun," Eve says.
Maria then asks, "Um Eve, can I ride on your back?"
"Sure," Eve says.
Soon, Maria is sitting on Eve's back and Jazz sits on Eve's head.
Sonic turns to Tails and Yacker, "All aboard guys. We're going to have a blast.
With that, Tails and Yacker then do the same with Sonic.
"Alright guys, let's roll!" Sonic says.
With that, the two Hedgehogs speed off with their friends in tow. The two hedgehogs race across the Starlight Carnival with their friends on their backs and heads As they run, the path appears forward and disappears from behind.
Tails then says, "Alright guys, we're coming at the first airship."
Sonic and Eve look to see if the path is leading them to one of the airships. Soon, the path lands on the deck of the airship, and the group are able to land on it. Sonic and Eve then drop their friends on the deck and they speed off to explore the ships. Tails and the others follow from behind.
Exploring the airship, Sonic and Eevee notice Prison Capsules ahead with the Wisps inside. They speed over and are able to destroy two of them. The Wisps trapped, fly away to escape.
The Cyan Wisp decides to share its power with Sonic, and the Orange Wisp shares its power with Eve. They use the power of the Wisps to speed across the airship, almost like a race. Sonic uses his Cyan Laser to destroy many of the Prison Capsules. Eve uses his Orange Rocket power to do the same. Soon enough, Sonic and Eve are able to free all the Wisps that are trapped inside, and soon meet with the others. Sonic and Eve high five with excitement.
Then they pick up the others and head off to the next air ship. Soon enough, the run to rescue the Wisps also becomes a race against each other, mainly for fun. They reach the next ship and also smash the Person Capsules and free the aliens. Once they're done, they head off to more airships and free any Wisps from their Prison Capsules. Along the way, they also defeat any of Eggman's robots they come across, and become helpful when the Wisps share their powers with the hedgehogs. They also arrive on airships that have large statues on them, one of them is a lighted up bull and the other is a pegasus.
Time has gone by freeing the Wisps, destroying Eggman's robots, and exploring the area. The group of friends find themselves at a large power station where they find a generator similar to the generator at Sweet Mountain.
"This park is really huge," Maria says.
"Really huge," Sonic says.
Then Sonic looks ahead, "And the generator is right there."
The group continues to walk towards the generator.
Eve looks around as she says, "You know, I haven't seen any sign of Eggman since we got here."
"Chao Chao," Jazz replies.
"I wonder where Eggman's could be," Maria replies.
"Who knows. Eggman could be anywhere," Tails says.
Unknown to the friends, Dr. Eggman is in his Egg Mobile hovering behind the generator. On his Egg Mobile are two tanks that are filled with glowing purple substance.
Seeing the group, Eggman chuckles and says, "Indeed I could, but I'm right here behind this generator! That's it, hedgehogs, stand there and be a pair of nice little targets."
Eggman then presses a button on his machine, which moves some kind of ray in its position. Eggman's Egg Mobile is on the move, positioned to fire as it's making a high pitched humming noise.
Hearing the noise, Eve asks, "What's that noise?"
"It's a bit loud," Maria says.
Then Sonic asks, "Tails, is that you humming?"
Tails turns around and gasps to see Eggman with his Egg mobile. Eggman then hits the firing button on his Egg Mobile, and the ray under it fires a dark beam towards Sonic and Eve.
Tails cries out, "Sonic, Eve, look out!" And shoves the two hedgehogs out of the way, taking the hit.
Tails screams in agony from the hit of the ray, "AHHHH!"
"TAILS!" Sonic cries out.
Tails withstands the energy of the beam a little longer, and then collapses on the ground. Seeing what is happening, Sonic stands up and rushes at Eggman, but Tails suddenly stands up and blocks his way, making Sonic come to a stop.
"Tails?" Eve says, confused.
Sonic is even confused, "Tails? Buddy?"
Eggman laughs manically, "Hoo Ho Ho! He's my buddy now."
"What have you done to him?" Sonic demands.
"Me?" Eggman replies. Then says, "I did nothing at all. Unless shooting him with my mind control beam that runs on alien energy counts as doing something to him. Does it?" and brushes his mustache.
Sonic tries to get past Tails to fight Eggma, but Tails continues to block his way.
Eggman continues, "To get to me you're going to have to go through your best friend. Hooo, Ho, Ho. This turned out MUCH better than I could have hoped, and I only used a small prototype."
"Enjoy it while you can," Sonic says.
"Oh, I will. In fact, the only way to make this better would be to have you two fight," Eggman says.
Soon, the mind-controlled Tails begins to aggressively approach Sonic.
Sonic tries to talk some sense into him, "Come on, Tails! Snap out of it, dude. You don't want to do this."
But Tails is still under Eggman's control and raises his fist up to fight. Suddenly, Tails collapses, and Sonic is able to catch him.
"What the...?" Eggman says, confused.
Holding Tails in his arms, Sonic asks in concern, "Tails, buddy, are you alright?"
Tails wakes up from the mind control and is very confused, "Huh? Where am I? Why is my nose hair tingling?"
"Lousy cheap alien energy," Eggman says, and angrily pounds on the Egg Mobile in frustration.
But soon notices the empty tanks, "Ran out of juice!"
Then turns to the group, "Well, I'll get more. Lots more! And then I won't just control one little punk, but the whole universe. In the meantime, enjoy the park. I'll leave you your own private tour guide."
Eggman then closes the hatch to his Egg Mobile and flies off. As he leaves, one of Eggman's machines appears. A flying war machine with two whale-shaped coverings on its top. Its color scheme is purple, violet, hot pink, orange, gray, dark gray, red and cyan. It also has glowing orange colored eyes and looks like it has orange teeth.
Sonic turns to Tails with laughter, "HAHAHA! Pay up Tails. I told you he had an evil plot and coming here was a good idea. There it is straight from the horse's mouth."
But Tails says, "Uh, we didn't bet."
Sonic slumps to hear that, "Dang."
Eve says, "Sonic, this isn't the time to talk about a bet. We got a robot to beat up."
"You're right. Let's go," Sonic says.
With that, Sonic and Eve speed off to battle against the giant robotic Airship before them. They start running on the purple that is created in front of then, and disappear from behind. They soon see the giant airship and it begins to fire at them. Sonic and Eve quickly dodge the attack.
Sonic and Eve then increase their speed to catch up to the airship as it continues to fire its energy bullets at them. When they stop, Sonic and Eve take their chance and spin dashes the machine gunes. They continue to spin, dash and smash at them. After multiple smashing, Sonic and Eve are able to destroy the machine guns. Soon, the ship begins to lose its balance and ends up dropping many of the Prison Capsules on board.
"Sonic!" Eve calls out
"I see them!" Sonic says.
Sonic and Eve quickly use their Spin Dash to destroy as many Prison Capsules as they can. They manage to break all of them, and the Wisps are free.
"Come on sis, we're going to lose it," Sonic says.
"Yeah," Eve says.
Sonic and Eve continue to speed off to catch up with the airship. Just then, two of the Cyan Wisps are able to catch up to them.
"Looks like the Wisps are willing to give us a hand," Sonic says.
"Let's…" Eve says
Sonic and Eve give the Cyan Wisps a high five, and they all begin to glow. Soon, each Wisp absorbs themselves into Sonic and Eve's bodies, and become the Cyan Lasers power. They both fly towards the giant airship and begin to zig-zag across the large whales of the shop from the inside. Then, they bounce off the invisible walls of the path, allowing them to fly through the center of where the machine gun is. Sonic and Eve then land on the path and continue to chase after the airship.
"I'll bet that overgrown pair of whales didn't know what hit them," Sonic says in remark.
"Yeah. They surely didn't, but we need to free the rest of the Wisps trapped inside and destroy that ship," Eve says.
Sonic looks at the airship and says, "And I think I found our way in."
Eve looks up to see one side of the airship has a hole on it.
"Well then, you wanna go in and wreck the place?" Eve asks.
"Do you even have to ask?" Sonic questions, and speeds off.
Sonic speeds and jumps in the air and lands into the hole of the ship. Eve looks to see that the ship ends up bringing out another machine gun and begins to fire at her. Eve quickly dodges the attack. And soon, it begins to drop spiky balls on the path towards Eve. Eve uses her speed to dodge them.
Inside the airship, Sonic speeds down the hall and other areas to find many Wisps trapped in Prison Capsules. He uses his spin dash to destroy three of the Prison Capsules and the Wisps are free. They quickly escape from the air ship. A Orange Wisp remains behind and officers Sonic its power. They combine their power to become Orange Rocket and they blast across the ship, destroying any Capsule they can find to free the Wisps.
Outside, Eve continues to dodge the attacks and seeing her chance, she's able to spin dash at the other machine gun. Eve continues to spin dash at the machine gun until it breaks off. When that happens, the airship loses its balance and drops some of the Prison Capsules. Eve then uses her spin dash to free them.
In the airship, once one side of the airship is done, Sonic uses some of the Wisps' power to free as many Wisps by breaking the Prison Capsules. The many Wisps who are free are able to fly out of the airship and escape. Thanks to the Wisps help, Sonic is able to free all the Wisps from the ship quickly. Once that's done, Sonic jumps out of the other hole on the ship and runs on the path.
Sonic runs to Eve and says, "Hey sis, free all the Wisps."
"Great. I'm just about to finish this off," Eve says.
She gives the Cyan Wisp next to her a high five, and they both become Cyan Laser. Then, Eve blasts through the airship with one fell swoop. Soon, the Ship begins to break apart and fall away from the path and heading towards the ground.
"Alright, we trashed another one of Eggman's airships," Sonic says.
"Yeah. Let's get back to the others," Eve says.
With that, Sonic and Eve speed down the path to get to the generator. After fighting the robot and returning to the generator, it shuts down and the chain disappears as well. They rush back to see Tails, Maria, Jazz and Yacker waiting for them.
Tails waves and says, "Hey, Sonic! Eve! Did you give the guide your complaint?
"Oh, we gave it to him pretty good," Sonic says.
"Yeah. I think after the beating we gave him, the guide surely got our complaint," Eve says.
Just then, Yacker flies to Sonic and Eve.
Eve waves, "Hi Yacker."
"What's up?" Sonic asks with a smile.
Yacker begins to dance with glee.
"I knew he'd be up to no good, but mind control?" Eve replies.
"Yeah. That's bad, even for him," Sonic says.
Sonic turns to Tails and asks, "So did you get any more info out of him?"
Tails turns to Sonic and Eve, "It got me asking Yacker more questions, and I didn't like the answers.
"What did Yacker tell you?" Maria asks.
"Well, we know Eggman is going to use the energy he's stealing for a mind control weapon," Sonic says.
"Learned that one the hard way," Tails says, rubbing his head.
Then Eve asks, "How is Eggman gathering up all the Wisps?"
"Yeah. Eggman already got so many of them," Sonic replies.
"That is the answer I don't like. Yacker told me that Eggman's gathering his kind by the planetful. Literally."
"Eggman did what?" Eve asks, shocked.
"Eggman is using five tractor beam generators to hold their planet in orbit while he scoops the aliens all up," Tails explains.
"Hold a whole planet?!" Sonic asks, surprised.
"Well, it's tiny, but still... yeah," Tails replies.
Then says, "Each of the five planets has a generator tiring a tractor beam to hold it in place of Eggman's amusement park."
"Eggman never did think small," Sonic comments.
"And since we just took down two generators, that leaves us with three more for us to find and take down," Eve says, and slams her fist to the palm of her other hand.
Then Tals says, "We've got to hurry! More and more Wisps are being captured by Eggman and his robots!"
"And the more aliens he captured, the more of those Nega-Wisps they'll be turned into," Maria says.
"And the more energy he gathers, the more power he has for that mind control device," Eve says.
"Which is why we need to hurry. Yacker said that the Wisps don't have much time," Tails adds.
"Once I start moving, I don't need much time," Sonic says.
Then turns to Eve, "So where do we go next?"
Eve then looks at the map and reads, "According to the map, the next planet close to us is called Planet Wisp."
"Planet Wisp, huh…" Sonic says with interest.
Yacker begins to talk with happiness. Tails looks at his Miles Electric to see the translation.
Tails says, "According to Yacker, it's the Wisp's home planet."
"And I suspect that's where he's gathering the aliens from," Sonic says.
"Then let's hurry to Planet Wisp and shut down the generator," Eve says.
Meanwhile, in Dr. Eggman's base, Eggman is hard at work on his plans.
He pushes a button on a terminal, and begins to laugh maniacally, "Hooo Ho Ho! Soon the mind control weapon will be full of energy I've siphoned from the aliens, and Sonic and Eve's world will be the center of my interplanetary theme park."
Just then, Cubot hovers over in a cowboy accent, "Y'all reckon you'll be able to get yerself 'nuff o' that energy to take over the whole dang planet?"
Eggman mocks Cubot, "Yes, I 'reckon' I will. Then demands, "Where is your new voice chip?"
Orbot then enters the room and has a chip in his it right here sir! Just need to install it."
Orbot floats over to Cubot, and shuts him down.
He begins to install the new chip as he sings. "The think bone's connected to the talk bone, the talk bone's connected to the mouth bone…"
Once he has finished installing the chip Orbot happily says, "There, good as new."
"Finally. I don't think anything could have been more annoying than that cowboy chatter," Eggman says.
Suddenly, Cubot begins to talk in a pirate accent, "Yar!" sending Eggman flying off his chair.
Cubot continues, "Feelin' ship-shape with me new voice chip, I am. Ah-beggin' yer pardon, Squire, but me and my matey are going to sail off an' search fer that lubber Sonic and Eve! Arr!" He salutes and races off.
"I think that's the wrong chip," Eggman replies.
"Really? Are you sure he doesn't normally speak in pirate?" Eggman asks sarcastically.
"On the bright side, he's much more exotic now," Orbot says.
Then Eggman shouts at Orbot, "Just go find him and fix that chip!
Orobt becomes startled by Eggman and flies off.
Eggman turns to the screen, "Shortly, I will have no need for those idiots. In just a few hours, Mobius will be under MY control. When it is, it will be the crown jewel of my amusement park; the GREATEST amusement park in the universe. Hooo Ho Ho!"
Suddenly Eggman feels pain and clutches his midsection, "Ouch. I think I gloated so hard I pulled a muscle."
