Hedgehogs Colors Episode 6: The Planet of the Wisps
After the battle at the Starlight Carnival, and figuring out what Eggman is up to, Sonic, Eve, and the others are on the elevator to Planet Wisps, Yacker's home planet. Just then, the elevator arrives at the station.
At the same time, the intercom of the elevator announced, "Next Stop: Planet Wisp. This attraction is currently off limits, and is still under construction, and may not be dangerous for visitors yet."
"Dangerous, huh? We'll see how dangerous it is," Sonic says, sounding confident.
"When it comes to Eggman and his robots, it's always going to be dangerous," Eve replies.
Just then, the elevator doors open and the group steps out. Yacker begins to fly around and is very excited.
Tails brings out his Miles Electric and says, "Yacker said that he is excited to be coming back home."
But then Yacker's expression shows signs of sadness.
Tails says, "But Yacker is worried because of what's been happening to his home planet and his friends.
"Don't worry Yacker, we'll stop Eggman and his weird mind controlling plan," Eve says.
This makes Yacker very happy.
The group then leaves the station and walks out through the tunnel. To their surprise, they see that the Planet Wisps are full of large grasslands, with large twisty trees and branches, and even a few river areas. However, there are also large buildings being constructed by Eggman's robots.
"So this is Planet Wisps, Yacker and the other Wisps' homeworld," Eve says.
"Yeah, but what's happening to it?" Sonic questions.
"It's all Eggman's fault. This is going too far, even for him!" Tails says.
"No kidding," Eve says.
Maria soon notices, "Oh, look guys! There are some Wisps over there!"
Soon, a few White Wisps and Cyan Wisps show up.
The Wisps begin to talk to the group in deep concern.
"What are they saying?" Sonic asks.
Then Tails holds out his Miles Electric and says, "Um, let's see... Got it! They said that their planet was pulled here all of a sudden one day. They're asking us for help, guys!
"Well, that's why we're here," Sonic says.
We need to get to that generator and shut down the tractor beam that is keeping their planet here," Eve says.
"Then let's get going," Sonic says.
With that, Sonic, Eve, Tails, Maria, Jazz, and Yacker begin to explore around Planet Wisp. Yacker is very experienced with his home world, so he is taking the lead. The group walk across the grassy landscape of the Wisp's home planet. They can see all kinds of Wisps, practically in all the colors of the rainbow. When the group arrive at the area, they see many of the Wisp noticing them hide in fright.
"Oh dear. They must be scared," Maria says, concerned.
"It's probably because of Eggman and his robots trying to capture them. And worry we might do the same," Sonic suspects.
Yacker then flies to the Wisps hiding and talks to them. Yacker talks to them and the Wisps are starting to feel at ease, some are still scared.
Eve turns to Tails, "So what's Yacker telling them?"
Holding his Miles Electric, Tails translates, "Yacker is explaining to the others that we're friends, and that we've been freeing all his friends from Baldy Nosehair and his weird robots. And explains how we helped the Resistance back on Sweet Mountain, including Jade. And it seems that the Wisps can tell that we're nice and mean no harm."
"That's good. I was worried that the Wisp might be scared of us," Maria says.
Soon, the Wisps leave their hiding place and fly over to greet the Freedom Fighters.
Eve waves, "Hello."
All the Wisps wave to them.
"I don't think we need a translation to know they're saying hello," Sonic says.
Just then the Wisps begin to point to a specific location and are looking very worried and scared.
"Tails?" Sonic asks.
"According to the Wisps, Eggman has been scooping them up from their planet after being dragged here on their planet. There's been some strange construction coming from…" Tails says.
He then points left to where the Wisps are pointing, "Right over there."
The group turns their heads to see a large construction site, it also seems to have a tower with a glowing beam from the top.
"Hmm, the place sure looks sketchy," Sonic says.
"And it's a big building," Maria says.
"Chao," Jazz replies, amazed to see the tower.
"It doesn't look like it's too far from here. Let's go check it out," Tails says.
Everyone nods their heads in reply.
Suddenly, everyone hears a beeping sound. Eve looks at her wrist to see her intercom watch is beeping. Eve presses the button and on the screen is Sally.
"Oh hi Sally," Eve says.
"Eve, there you are! We've finally reached you. Where are you guys?" Sally says.
Sonic, Tails, Eve, Jazz, and Yacker look at the intercom to see Sally.
"Hey Sally, why the sudden call?" Sonic replies.
"To figure out where you guys are. We had trouble getting a hold of you. We've been hearing rumors about Eggman having built an amusement park and I was going to send you and Sonic to check it out," Sally says.
"Well, you're a little late on that," Eve says.
Just then, Yacker appears on the screen, surprising Sally.
"What is that?" Sally asks, surprised.
Tails then says, "This is Yacker, he's an alien known as a Wisp."
Then Sonic says, "And we're already at his Interstellar Amusement park which is a ruse for him to capture Yacker and all his friends for their energy."
"And they're called Hyper-Go-On, and they share their energy with those they like. So far, they let Sonic and Eve use their powers to help us stop Eggman," Maria says.
"Really?" Sally asks.
"Yeah. And Eggman is using the energy for a mind control device and is going to use it on Mobius. And when the Wisps have their energy taken, they turn into Nega Wisps, some are even left weakened from it," Eve explains.
"That's not good, if he gets enough of the Wisps' energy, he'll be able to control Mobius," Sally says.
"Well don't worry Sal, we're already on the case. We freed many of Yacker's buddies, and smashed Eggman's robots in the process," Sonic says.
"And we're working on shutting down the generators. Right now, we're looking for the generator on Yacker's home planet," Eve says.
"That's good to hear. You all stay safe, and be careful. Eggman might try to use the energy he has on his mind control device on you," Sally says.
Tails rubs his head, "I learned that out the hard way."
"We're on it, Sal," Sonic says.
And with that, the call ends.
"Come on, let's go check out this construction site," Sonic says.
Everyone nods their heads in reply, and heads off to the construction site to check it out, and figure out more of Eggman's plan.
Sometime later, Sonic, Eve, and the others are now at one of the construction sites of Eggman's amusement park on the Wisps' planet. They look around to see the many metal buildings, robot workers, oil, and stuff that doesn't belong on the Wisps' planet.
"You know, as alien as this place is, there is something very... Eggmanish about it," Sonic says, looking around the area.
"And that one, is especially something Eggman would come up with," Eve says, and points to the large generator with beaming light coming from close by.
"I think he's transforming it somehow. Making it part of his theme park," Tails says.
Suddenly, they hear Eggman's voice on the speakers, saying, "Attention guests. If you can hear this message, you are trespassing in an area still under renovation. If you are not a robot, please return to the main park areas and ignore anything evil you might have seen here. Thank you."
Sonic looks around and says, "It looks like the 'theme' of his park is universal domination and conquest of alien races."
"It's more than a theme; it's a reality. He's using them like some kind of living intergalactic gasoline," Tails says.
"That doesn't sound very nice," Maria says, worried.
"That is so low," Eve says.
"Yeah. That's pretty low, even for a sleazeball like Eggman," Sonic says.
Just then, Eggman's voice appears again and says in a fast voice, "Some displacement of indigenous aliens and destruction of natural resources may occur. Eggman Enterprises is not responsible."
"He's kidding right?" Eve questions.
Just then, a few of the Wisps of White and Cyan find the hedgehogs and the other. They all are talking in deep concern and they are deeply frightened.
Sonic turns to Tails and asks, "You gettin' any of that?"
Looking at his Miles Electric, Tails says, "Yeah, they're totally freaked out. They're in shock because of their planet's strange transformation and having been dragged across the universe!"
"Poor things. And it doesn't help that Eggman has been abducting them and using their energy," Eve says.
Then Sonic says, "Well I still can't believe he kidnapped a whole planet. How can somebody do that?"
"They're saying that it's caused by a tractor beam…" Tails says.
"And I'm willing to bet that the tractor beam is connected to the generator we took down so far," Eve says.
"Chao!" Jazz replies with a nod.
"Now we gotta find it and trash it," Eve says.
Matia turns her head and notices, "Look guys, the generator is over there."
The group look to see the large generator that also has a chain and the tractor beam is attached to it.
"Good work Maria," Eve says.
Sonic turns to Eve, "Now then, I think it's time we put a stop to these 'renovations.'"
"Sounds good to me," Eve says.
With that, Sonic and Eve run off, leaving Tails, Maria, Jazz, Yacker, and the Wisps behind.
The two hedgehogs continue to speed across the land at high speed. They run through some of the renovation buildings Eggman's robots are working on and free the Wisps from the Prison Capsules as they can find. They also make sure to defeat Eggman's robots who are blasting them. When they free the Wisps, the Wisps offer their powers to them. They continue to travel from the construction area, to the grassy landscape that the Wisps call home. They continue to search for their way to the generator and it feels that it's getting harder to find it, or a way to get to it.
After times of speeding, beating robots, and freeing the Wisps, Sonic and Eve have arrived at the third generator that is also holding their planet in place.
"And there's the generator! Seems like these guys are getting harder and harder to find," Sonic says.
Suddenly, the ground begins to shake, catching the hedgehog's attention.
Just then, a giant ferris wheel arrives on the scene. It looks alot like the other robot from back at the Tropical resort, but a smile made out of metal wires, formed to look like spiked teeth, and its face is now orange and its body is green. It also has two eyes stacked vertically.
"I know for a fact these guys are getting harder and harder to beat," Sonic says, confident.
"A little too well," Eve says.
Suddenly, Eggman's voice appears over the speakers again, "Please remember, all planets in Eggman's Incredible Interstellar Amusement Park are, as far as you know, wholly owned properties of Eggman Enterprises and its subsidiaries. All unauthorized photography, video reproduction, or shutting down of generators is strictly prohibited. Thank you."
Eve facepalms her forehead, "Oh can he just give it up already."
"You said it," Sonic says.
He then calls out, "Eggman! WE ARE going to save this planet, and WE ARE going to free these aliens. No copyright law in the universe is going to stop us. We can save a lot of time and broken robots if you just quit now!"
On the large ferris wheel, the Refresinator gets ready to attack.
Sonic sighs and says, "You try to be reasonable…."
"That or this robot is not reasonable," Eve comments.
The two hedgehogs laugh.
With that, Sonic and Eve speed off and jump on the ferris wheel of the robot.
"You know Sonic, this doesn't seem any different than the robot we fought when we first arrived," Eve says.
"I know what you mean," Sonic says.
Then turns to the robot with a smirk, "Which means!"
Sonic looks to see three Prison Capsules on the strong round areas of the robot. Sonic speeds onto it as he spins around on it, breaking the capsule and freeing the Wisps. The White Wisps that are set free offer Sonic his powers, boosting Sonic's speed. That allows Sonic to smack at the robot in the center of the ferris wheel.
Sonic then lands on the giant wheel the robot is hanging on.
"That was easy," Sonic says.
"Let me try," Eve says.
Eve then speeds to the other side and jumps on the round metal cars on the ferris wheel. She then spin dashes at the Prison Capsule and free. The Cyan Wisp then offers its power to Eve. Eve turns into Cyan Laser and bounces off the ferris wheel like crazy. That gives the robot in the center a lot of damage as Eve bounces off of it.
"Awesome!" Sonic says.
Sonic and Eve then speeds to different areas of the ferris wheel, and are able to free the many Wisps trapped in the capsules of the ferris wheel cars. The Cyan Wisps grant Sonic and Eve their power and the two begin to bounce around on the giant wheel the robot is hanging on. They bounce on the wheel and at the robot, causing critical damage.
Sonic and Eve continue to strike at the robot with the same attacks and the Cyan Wisps assist them with their Hyper-Go-On Powers. Soon enough, the robot is unable to withstand the attacks any longer and shows smoke and begins to short circuit. Sonic and Eve notice the robot is beginning to fall apart and collapse to where the generator is. Sonic and Eve quickly jump off as the robot falls apart and finally collapses on the ground with a loud bang. Now, the robot is basically a pile of metal.
After defeating the robot, the robot falls over and breaks into pieces as it shuts down. Then, the generator turns off as well.
"Wow, sometimes I even impress myself, "Sonic says to himself.
Eve rolls her eyes to see Sonic is actually talking to the robot that they both defeated. Mainly, Sonic is talking to a pile of scrap metal.
Sonic continues, "For a second there I wasn't sure I was going to pull it off. Oh who am I kidding, we both knew how this would end."
Unknown to Sonic, Tails, Maria, Jazz, and Yacker walk towards them.
Confused, Tails asks, "Uh, are you talking to the broken robot who can hear you?"
Sonic sheepishly turns to see them and answers, "Uh, maybe."
Maria, Jazz, Yacker and even Eve cover their mouth and bare themselves not to laugh.
Then Sonic says to Tails, "That's between me and the robot. See, the important thing here is that the alien planet is free."
Tails has his hand on his head in disbelief.
He then looks at Sonic and answers, "Absolutely."
Then Sonic asks, "So we can just forget about the whole talking to dead robots thing, right?"
"Nope," Tails answers.
Maria and Jazz shake their heads in reply.
"I knew you'd say that," Sonic says, dumbfounded and lowers his head.
"Well, come on, I've seen you save the day a lot of times. But I've never seen you talk to a pile of metal," Sonic says.
"Yeah. I'll bet the others would love to hear about this," Eve says and begins giggling.
Maria, Jazz, and Yacker begin giggling as well.
"Touché," Sonic replies, and feels really embarrassed.
After that, the many Wisps gather with glee. They are spinning and are chattering with happiness.
"They're all going wild over you, guys. Ha ha, I think you have fans!" Tails says.
"Aw, it was nothing! Maybe now they'll know they can count on me to…" Sonic says.
However, the Wisps begin to chatter and are sounding upset.
"Huh. They sound upset. They keep saying, 'He's not here, he's not here.'" Tails says, looking at his Miles Electric.
"Maybe Eggman's goons got one of their friends," Sonic says.
"Probably, and they sound very upset about it," Eve says.
Then Sonic turns to Tails, "Tell them we're on it."
"All right…" Tails says.
He brings out his Miles Electric and says, "I'll say, 'It's dangerous. Leave this to us.'"
The Wisps reply.
Eve brings out the map and says, "Come on, our next stop is the Aquarium Park."
"Okay, let's go," Sonic says.
With that, the group hurries off to Aquarium Park to shut down the other generator and free the many Wisps captured there. Hopefully they can free the Wisps and stop Eggman before he takes his plans to the next level.
