The Secret of the Rings Episode 3: Jurassic Jungle
Still searching to rescue Scheherazade, Sonic and Shahra continue their adventure across the desert to find her and the pterosaur that has abducted her. Soon enough, Sonic and Shahra reach a large jungle-like area.
"What's this place?" Sonic asks.
"That's the Dinosaur Jungle. It's possible that the monster might have taken Scheherazade there," Shahra says.
"Then let's go find out," Sonic says.
Agreeing to the idea, Sonic and Shahra begin to explore the Dinosaur Jungle to rescue Scheherazade. When they arrive, the jungle is surrounded by large jungles, trees, unusual plants, and all kinds of animals, especially dinosaurs.
"Wow. The place seems amazing," Sonic says.
"It seems so, but we have to keep going to find Scheherazade," Shahra says.
"Right," Sonic replies.
Sonic and Shahra continue forward and suddenly hear rapid footsteps coming from behind them.
Sonic looks behind him and shouts in shock, "Whoa! Something's after us!"
Shahra turns her head back and sees three large, red triceratops, and they don't look very happy. They run fast to catch up with them.
"They're Triceratops! And they're very angry!" Shahra says, shocked.
"Wh-what did I do?" Sonic asks.
"I don't know! Just run!" Shahra answers.
"You don't need to tell me twice," Sonic says.
With that, Sonic and Shahra pick up the pace and run away from the dinos, but they're catching up with them. They continue to run down the path of the jungle on their rescue mission, but they need to rescue themselves, and not risk the dinos hitting them with their horns.
"They just don't give up!" Sonic says.
Shahra looks ahead and says, "If we can just get across the bridge up ahead, we should be okay!"
"Alright then," Sonic says.
Sonic and Shahra continue with their escape from the Triceratops, and run through the tunnel. Soon, they see the bridge up ahead that is close to a waterfall
"I see the bridge, we're going to make it!" Sonic says.
Sonic and Sahra soon reach the bridge and begin to cross. Suddenly, a large log comes out of the cave behind the bridge.
Sonic sees the log and cries out, "Uwaaah! Noooooo!"
But the large log destroys the bridge, knocking Sonic down and towards the water.
Shahra looks down as she cries out, "Sonic!"
Sonic continues to fall and heads to the river down below. Seeing a smaller log, Sonic acts fast and is able to land on the log. Now, Sonic is surfing down the river on the log.
Sonic says in relief, "Whew! That was a close one! I surely don't want to fall in the water.
Shahra flies over and has heard what Sonic says.
She giggles and asks, "Sonic, can't you swim?"
"Actually, I can't," Sonic answers.
"Oh dear," Shahra replies with a smile.
"Yeah. I can't swim and I don't think I ever will," Sonic says.
He looks around and asks, "So where do we go from here?"
"Well, if we go down this river, we should be able to go deeper into the jungle. However, there are very plants and dinosaurs living here, so we better be careful," Shahra says.
"Right," Sonic says.
Sonic and Shahra continue to travel down the river until they're able to reach the other side of the river.
"This is our stop," Sonic says.
He then jumps off the log and they reach land.
The two continue to travel through the jungle to find a way out.
"Sheesh, this jungle is so big, it's hard to find anything here," Sonic says.
"We have to continue forward and rescue Scheherazade," Shahra says.
"I know," Sonic says.
Sonic and Shahra continue forward in trying to get out of the jungle and rescue Scheherazade. However, it's not easy getting through the trick dino inhabited environment. They travel through the grassy trails, climb up the trees, slide down the twisting branches, and other obstacles that are in their path. Of course, there are times when Shahra has to stay in the ring, so she doesn't slow Sonic down.
Soon, Sonic jumps down as he shouts, "Look out below!"
Shahra screams, "Aaack!" from inside the ring.
Sonic falls and bounces off places until they reach the ground floor.
"I have to admit, that was really unexpected," Shahra says.
Then asks, "Are all your adventures always like this?"
"Shahra, this is one of the things to expect from the many adventures I've gone to," Sonic says.
"I see. You must have a lot of adventures," Shahra replies.
"Maybe after this little adventure, I can share with you some exciting stories of my adventures," Sonic says.
"I would like to hear it," Shahra replies.
Sonic continues to dash through the jungle and suddenly jumps off the edge of a cliff.
"Oops!" Sonic yelps.
Suddenly, a brontosaurus raises its long neck and head up as it tries to eat the grass on the clips lower down.
"Whoa!" Sonic says, surprised.
However, he sees that its long neck is like a long thanks.
He then smiles and says, "Thanks."
Sonic jumps on the brontosaurus and allows him to run down its long neck and on its back. Then they continue on their way. However, there are still enemies and other dangers in their path, such as Erazor Djin's minions, and dangerous plants and animals.
As Sonic spin dashes the plants, Sonic asks, "How many of these guys are there?!"
"There's no end to them!" Shahra says.
Sonic and Shahra continue forward.
Sonic asks, "So where do we go?"
"We can go through that tunnel. There's a log that we can float on," Shahra says.
"Good idea," Sonic says.
Sonic then jumps on the log and they begin floating down the river. They soon ride inside the tunnel and soon see other dinosaurs drinking water.
"Be careful, Sonic!" Shahra says.
"Got it," Sonic says.
The two continue to ride down the river and through the cave. Soon, they've reached the end. When they reach outside of the cave, they soon find a narrow path between the edge and the rocky wall.
"Be careful Sonic, the path is very narrow," Shahra says.
"Yeah," Sonic says.
Sonic then leans against the wall and begins scooting along the narrow path.
Suddenly, Shahra grows weary, "I've got a bad feeling about this."
Sonic feels the same, "Uhh. My quills are starting to tingle…"
And their signs of trouble are correct, a giant purple tyrannosaurus rex burst through the rocky wall, catching the two off guard.
Sonic yelps, "Whoooa! Out of the frying pan and into the fire, huh?"
"That about sums it up!" Shahra says.
Then says, "Be careful, Sonic."
"I don't think I need to be told that," Sonic says.
Sonic quietly peeks to see the T-rex is back away. Seeing the coast is clear, Sonic is able to rush past the opening and reaches another narrow part of the canyon. Luckily, they're able to reach a higher area.
Shahra notices, "Hey, look at its tail!"
"Got it!" Sonic says.
The T-rex swings its tail, and Sonic quickly jumps to dodge and dashes forward. They continue to climb on the rocky platforms and soon see the meat eating dinosaur before them.
Seeing the look on its face, Sonic says, "He seems pretty hungry!"
"Then make sure it doesn't decide that you're a snack!" Shahra advises.
Sonic and Shaha see the T-rex chomp away and acting rather crazy.
There is also a big boulder in their way, blocking their path.
"Now what?" Sonic asks.
Then Shahra says, "If you lead him over the boulder, maybe he can break through the rock?"
"Sounds crazy, but it might work," Sonic says.
Sonic rushes towards the boulder and calls out, "Hey you overgrown lizard, you wanna take a chomp out of this!"
Hearing the hedgehog, the T-rex quickly lowers its head to take a bite, but Sonic quickly dodges in the nick of time. The T-rex chomps on the boulder and destroys it.
"It worked!" Shahra says, relieved.
"Now let's get out of here," Sonic says.
Sonic then dashes off and runs through the jungle area. They perform more jumps, run through slides, and go through various different areas. They soon run a spiraling tower and reach a different area of the jungle. More like around the outskirts of the Dino jungle.
Sonic looks around, "Where in the world could that flying monster be."
Suddenly, they both hear screeching sounds and look up to see the pterosaur with Scheherazade captured in its talons.
Followed by Scheherazade scream, "Unhand me you beast! Unhand me!"
"Look, there she is!" Sonic says.
Scheherazade continues to struggle as she tries to break free of the spirit's restraint.
Having had enough, Scheherazade screams, "I said let go of me!"
Scheherazade then kicks the pterosaur spirit on the beak, causing it to drop her.
Scheherazade screams "Aaaahhhhhh!"
Shahra closes her eyes so she won't see Scheherazade falling.
Sonic however rushes over. He then jumps in the air and catches Scheherazade. Then he lands on the ground as they skid close to the edge of the cliff. Luckily, Sonic stops just in time.
Shahra is very relieved, "Whew!"
"Thank you for saving me, Sonic, correct?" Scheherazade says.
"It's no trouble. It's what I do," Sonic says, and places Scheherazade down.
Just then Shahra floats over and asks in concern, "Your Highness, where did that spirit go?"
"Just as I feared, he's gone ahead to that castle and it seems more minions are being assembled," Scheherazade
"Castle?" Sonic says, confused.
"Over there," Scheherazade answers, and points to the direction.
Sonic and Shahra look to where Scheherazade presents to see the castle across the water.
"There's a giant fortress just ahead. It's a relic from an ancient kingdom…" Shahra says.
Sonic turns to Scheherazade, "Will you be alright? We need to go after that thing."
"I'll be alright. You need to come after that monster before more minions can be assembled," Scheherazade says.
"You got it," Sonic says.
And with that, Sonic and Shahra go on ahead to get to the mysterious castle.
Of course, they find themselves in a different part of the Dinosaur Jungle, full of trees and plants. And of course, they have to dodge the dinosaurs, and defeat the spirits that come their paths.
Sonic spin dashes a spirit and says, "Yeesh, we can't seem to get a break."
Just then, Shahra notices, "Sonic look!"
Sonic turns to where Shahra is looking to see a red, black, and yellow painted egg.
"What is that?" Sonic asks.
"It's a spirit egg! Sonic, you need to destroy it!" Shahra says.
"You got it!" Sonic says.
Sonic then jumps and spin dashes the egg into pieces.
"And that egg is scrambled," Sonic says.
"There might be more of them here. Sonic, we'll have to destroy the spirit eggs we can find," Shahra says.
"Alright," Sonic answers.
Sonic and Shahra soon speed through the Dinosaur Jungle and begin to destroy any spirit egg they can find. Of course, they run across the mountain areas, slide and jump on large plants. He even runs along a dinosaur's back, and jumps over large lily pads. They continue to travel through the jungle and destroy every spirit egg, and spirit they can find. And soon enough, they're able to destroy all the spirit eggs they can find in the air.
Soon after destroying all the Spirit Eggs, Sonic and Shahra continue to search for the monster. Suddenly, they find a green ring sitting in the grass.
Sonic says, "Hey, look at that!"
"It's another one of the seven World Rings!" Shahra says.
Sonic then grabs the ring, and sparks come out of it.
Sonic yelps in surprise, "Ah! This power…"
"This must be what has driven the spirits mad, I think. It is only recently that they have been behaving this way," Shahra says.
"Well, I think I've had just about enough of this," Sonic says.
He then asks, "Speaking of which, as Genie of the Ring, can I ask you for a favor?
"O Master, your wish is my command," Shahra says.
Do you think you could take this Judgment thing out of my chest for me?" Sonic asks and points to the flame on his chest.
Sadly, Shahra reluctantly turns away and says, "... I am sorry."
"Hey, no worries. Cheer up," Sonic reassures.
"Hm," Shahra replies and turns back to Sonic
Sonic smiles and says, "Don't sweat it! Anyways, no adventure is fun if it's too easy, right? Although it would have been nice if your magic DID work, in any case…" and gives Shahra a thumbs up.
Then says, "Okay, then! Let's keep going!"
"Yes!" Shahra says.
And with that, Sonic and Shahra continue their journey to the mysterious castle and see if they can find the spirit, or one of the Seven Rings they seek. However, as they make their way towards the castle, within the ring, Shahra looks at Sonic with a sad expression on her face, perhaps even remorseful.
