The Secret of the Rings Episode 7: Rematch at the Evil Foundry
Flying on the magic carpet, Sonic and Shahra make their way to return to the Foundry to battle against the Ifrit. Now that they have the Blue Water Ring, defeating it should make it a lot easier.
Sonic looks ahead to see the foundry up ahead, "There it is."
"We finally made it," Shahra says.
"Yeah. And not a moment too soon, I hope we haven't kept this Ifrit waiting," Sonic says with a grin on his face.
Shahra giggles, "If I haven't seen this adventure, I would question if you actually enjoy fighting evil and saving the day."
"Well yeah, I've been doing this since I was little. I think my sister and I officially started fighting when we were around ten," Sonic says.
"Really? At such a young age?" Shahra asks, surprised.
"Yeah. It's a very long story on how we got our start. Trust me, it's not a very good story. Well, the start of it anyway," Sonic says.
"I like to hear it," Shahra says.
"Well, since the Arabian Nights are good places for stories, so I don't mind giving you a little story," Sonic says.
Then begins to tell his story, "It all started when my sister and I were five…"
Sonic explains to Shahra everything that has happened, along with their adventures to defeat Dr. Eggman/Robotnik evil plans. Of course, it comes as a shock to Shahra to hear how much losses and destruction the evil man has caused. Then hears how Sonic, Eve, and their friends became Freedom Fighters, and how they do their best to defeat Eggman again and again. Even after freeing the city, Eggman continues to try to create his empire, and use his robots to take over the world. He also explains all the fun adventures, new friends, new places, and more of what Sonic, Eve, and their friends do to save the world and stop Eggman. When they arrive in front of the castle, Sonic concludes his story.
"Oh my, I never thought that you had to fight in some kind of war at a young age. It must have been very hard for you and all who are close to you," Shahra says, saddened.
"Yeah, but we're able to get through it. We do our best to fight in the war, and it still continues, but it's more peaceful than it was years ago. Well, sort of," Sonic says.
Then the carpet lowers closest to the ground. Once they're on ground level, Sonic jumps off the carpet, and Shahra makes the carpet disappear.
"Indeed, and even royalty have taken on the fight as well, and you're friends with royalty as well," Shahra says.
"Yeah. Eve and I got friends from all over. It will be great if you can meet them, but I have a feeling it won't be easy," Sonic says.
"Indeed. I do not believe I can stay out of my world for very long, especially when all this is happening now," Shahra says.
"Well then, enough with storytelling, now that we're at the castle, it's time to take on that Ifrit," Sonic says.
"Right," Shahra says. "But remember to be careful, "Erazor Djinn's henchmen are still inside of that building."
"No problem. Once I start running, we don't have anything to worry about," Sonic says.
"Of course. Let's hurry," Shahra says.
With that, Sonic and Shahra rush inside the foundry. Sonic and Shahra are able to find another way into the foundry and rush inside. Of course, they run into traps, spirits, and other kinds of obstacles in their way. Sonic either dodges or defeats them with his spin dash, punch and kicks. They hurry down the spiraling hall, and through the hot area of the foundry they've been before. Soon, enough, Sonic and Shahra e able to reach the center of the evil foundry and the Ifrit appears right in front of them
"Sorry to keep you waiting!" Sonic says in remark, and has the Ring in his hand.
And Ifrit lets out a mighty, "Roooaarr!" and smoke comes out of its body.
"I didn't mean to leave you hanging, earlier. You're not still mad at me, are you? You really need to learn to be more patient, you know," Sonic teases.
Then raises the ring and calls out, "Now, Ring of Water! Bring forth a mighty storm!"
The Blue Ring begins to glow, and storm clouds appear over the Irfit. Then, the rain begins pouring down from the clouds and on to the Ifrit.
Soon, the Ifrit begins to, "Rrrrgh!" in agony as the rain pours down on it.
Soon, the fire around the Ifrit begins to be put out.
Shahra calls out, "Sonic! Look! The Ifrit is getting weaker!"
And the fire begins to diminish and the Ifrit is growing weaker.
"Okay, now let's finish him off!" Sonic says, and starts running to take on the Ifrit.
The Ifrit begins to lift its body up with its arms and reacts to fight Sonic as it hangs over the hot lava beneath it.
Sonic teases, "You know, I've let you play around more than enough for one day!"
"Sonic, be careful! The Ifrit is no child!" Shahra says.
"I know. I'm just messing with it," Sonic says.
Sonic then speeds ahead to defeat the Ifrit.
In the ring, Shahra says, "I sense a strong power coming from the light on the Ifrit's head… Try to find some way to get the Ifrit to lower his head into range!"
Sonic looks up to see something glowing on the head.
"Yeah," Sonic says, "We need to find a way to get up there."
The Ifrit begins launching rockets at Sonic. Sonic quickly uses his speed and agility to dodge the attacks. They jump, duck his head, and slide under it.
Shahra soon notices something about the hands from the ring.
Shahra says, "Maybe you should try attacking the hands holding up its body?"
Sonic looks to notice one of the Ifrit's hands holding up its body with the platform.
"Let's try it," Sonic says.
Sonic then begins to spin and dash the weak points on its hand. Unable to support itself, the Ifrit falls into the scalding water, causing it to ride, and covers some parts of the platform.
"As the Ifrit's body sinks, the water level in the furnace rises," Shahra says.
"And a few spirits end up coming out," Sonic says.
He then notices some of the spirits and ends up making a path over the lava.
Sonic smirks, "Luckily, they gave us a way to get up the Ifrit."
Sonic uses his spin dash to bounce over the spirits and reaches the other hand of the Ifrit. Then he runs up the Ifrit's hand, up the arm, and reaches the head.
Sonic jumps up and says, "Take this!"
And with that, Sonic spin dashes and bounces on the Ifrit's head
Shahra calls out, "That's it! You've found its weak point!"
Soon, the Ifrit screams in agony as it tries to reach for Sonic. Sonic quickly moves and lands on the platform. The Ifrit then grabs the around platform with its hands and lifts itself up, as the hot lava goes down.
"We're not out of the woods yet, Shahra," sonic says.
"If you can keep attacking the Ifrit at its weak point, that sound will do the trick," Shahra says.
"Then we just keep attacking the hands for it to go sink in the lava and then attacking the head," Sonic says.
Sonic dodges the rockets it fires from its wrist, and reaches the hand. Sonic then spin dashes the hand, causing the Ifrit to sink. Then Sonic uses the spirits that have appeared to bounce to the platform where his other hand is trying to support it. Sonic then climbs up the arm, on the hand, and then spin dashes it on the head. The monster lets go and it falls into the lava, but quickly uses its hand to support it again and doesn't plan on giving up.
"Stubborn little fella, isn't he? Well okay, maybe not little," Sonic replies.
Soon, the Ifrit begins to use lasers at Sonic when he tries to get close.
"It looks like the Ifrit's eye laser itself won't hurt you," Shahra replies.
"We just keep doing what we do," Sonic says.
Sonic then performs the same routine. Spin dashing the arm so it will fall in the lava. Uses the spirits to bounce to the platform where the other arm is. Then climbs up the other arms up to the head and spin dashes it three more times. Then Sonic jumps back to the platform as the Ifrit clenches its head and lifts itself up for another attack.
"All right! Looks like it's almost lights out for you, big guy!" Sonic says.
"Be careful, Sonic," Shahra says.
Just then, the Ifrit begins to throw barrels and fire lasers at Sonic. Sonic dodges the attacks and runs as fast as he can to get to one of its hands. Sonic quickly spin dashes the Ifrit at its weak point and falls into the lava.
Shara calls out, "Ifrit, prepare yourself!"
Sonic uses the barrels and spirit to get to the other arm, and goes up it to reach the arm to the head. Sonic then jumps and gives it one final hard spin dash. As soon as he hits the weak point, the Ifrit screams in agony, and begins to lose it as it starts to explode, and soon, the Ifrit begins to fall into the lava, never to rise.
Sonic lands on the platform and says, "Now I see why they tell you not to play with fire.
Sonic and Shahra watch as the Ifrit sinks into the lava. Suddenly, a small ball-like object comes out from inside the Ifrit and lands on the ground close to them
The object in questions begins to go, "Thump... thump... thump…" as the light of it flashing
"What the...?" Shahra says surprised.
Sonic asks, "What is that thing? Is something... about to hatch?" and looks down at it.
Shahra leans over and touches the object, "I can hear... I can hear something like a heartbeat."
Soon, Sonic starts to have a bad feeling about the object, and says, "Uh, Shahra... I think that might be some sort of time bomb!"
"It's beating faster!" Shahra says, worriedly
And Sonic realizes this is real trouble, "Oh. No! This can't be good!" Sonic then grabs the bomb, "We've got to get out of here! This thing has to explode out in the open!" and points to the ceiling.
"You're right!" Shahra says.
Not wasting any time, Sonic begins to run up the upward platforms.
Shahra quickly follows, "Hurry! We have to get out of here!"
"Let's go, Shahra! Sonic says.
With that, Sonic begins to pick up speed. Sonic runs up the platforms as fast as his feet can carry. Of course, the spirits are not making it easy for him, but Sonic quickly spin dashes them and runs forward to escape the castle and dispose of the bomb. Sonic travels up and through the different machinery working in the foundry. Sonic and Shahra continue to speed as fast as they can as the object is beeping and flashing even faster, they realize that they don't have much time left.
Soon, Sonic and Shahra are able to reach a familiar area of the foundry, and see that they're almost close to the exit. They run up the falls, run down the hall and reach a familiar area of the castle.
"Sonic, it's just a little further!" Shahra calls out.
Sonic looks ahead to see the opening, "I think I see the exit!"
"We must hurry, it looks like it's going to explode at any second," Shahra says, worried.
"Come on! We're almost there!" Sonic says.
Sonic and Shahra hurry and finally reach the exit. Sonic quickly opens the door and kicks the time bomb with a strong kick like a soccer ball, and sends it flying. The time bomb explodes and sometimes flies past the two and lands on the ground. Sonic and Shahra turn around to see what the object is.
Sonic asks, "Huh? Hey, look at this."
Sonic and Shahra look to the ground to see a bright glowing red ring.
"Is that what I think it is?" Shara asks.
Sonic walks over and finds the ring, "Yep. Another one of the seven World Rings."
"I wonder if it was inside the Ifrit this whole time," Shahra says.
"It's possible," Sonic says.
Sonic then grabs the ring, and sparks come out of it in some flames.
Feeling the ring, Sonic says, "I feel... rage. All that rage must have been sealed up inside of him."
"Rage?" Shahra questions.
"These rings must somehow seal in various emotions, too. The power of rage…" Sonic says to Shahra.
Shahra remains silent in awe and shows some concern, and curiosity about the ring.
Sonic turns to Shahra and asks, "So then, what's next?
"Let's go meet with King Solomon! King Solomon is the one who sealed away the evil spirits long ago. This strange occurrences must connect back to him somehow," Shahra answers.
"OK, then! Off to our next adventure!" Sonic says.
Sonic starts running with Shahra following from behind. The next stop is to visit King Solomon, the one who has sealed the spirits. And hopefully, he might have answers on how to stop Erazor Djinn.
