Death Egg Strikes Back Saga Episode 6: Genesis Part 4: Reset

Sonic and Eve have entered Dr. Eggman's base and plan to find him and put a stop to his evil schemes. Above the city, Tails and Jazz are in the Red Tornado.

Tails holds out the radio and says, "Sonic? Eve? Can you read me? This is Tails? Everything's quiet over Metropolis Zone. How are you both doing?"

"Chao Chao," Jazz replies.

In Eggman's base, Sonic and Eve are now jumping over lava as they fight against crab-like Badniks.

"Could be better, honestly," Sonic answers.

Sonic then flips over one of them and says, "But as usual…" and lands on the ground. "We've got it covered."

Eve then jumps and fires her Chaos Arrow at the crab Badnik, causing it to short circuit. Then lands next to Sonic.

"How many more of these things are…" Eve asks.

Suddenly, Sonic and Eve step back in some kind of capsule or a teleporter, and it begins to activate.

"In my opinion. That was…" Sonic says

Then they both end up being carried across the pipes and land somewhere else.

"-Fun," Sonic adds, feeling dizzy.

Eve shakes the dizziness off, "Not to me."

Just then, they soon find more bugs like Badniks.

Sonic says in thought, "I left the others behind for their safety, but other than my sister, I could really go for some friendly company about now…"

"Hey sis," Sonic says.

"Yeah?" Eve replies.

"Maybe having the others around would be good right about now," Sonic says.

"Yeah," Eve says.

Soon, Sonic and Eve begin to spin dash at the Badniks.

Back at the Oil Ocean Zone, Sally, Boomer, and Antoine are having their own problems. They're being chased by seahorse Badniks. They run along the pipes and the walkway to find a place to hide.

Sally calls out, "This way! Run for cover!"

The three continue to run along the walkway as fast as they can.

Soon, Sally spots a hiding place, "Between those containers! Hurry!"

"Man, I wish we'd convince Sonic and Eve to stick with us!" Boomer says.

"You're right! I should've tried harder to reason with Sonic. Something tells me he should be here with me!" Sally says.

Antoine and Boomer become confused when they hear it.

But Sally corrects herself, "Us! Be with us!"

"Uh-huh!" Boomer replies.

Soon, Sally and Boomer begin to duck for cover.

Antoine however, remains behind, "Maybe I will be facing ze robots. Maybe then will be getting ze attention I-" But Boomer drags him out of the way as he screams, "GYEEP!"

The Seahorse-badniks begin to fire as the group duck for cover. They soon arrive to see spiked pipes in front of them.

"What are those?! What are they even for?" Boomer asks.

But Sally spots the Badniks from close by, "Oncoming! Nine o'clock high!"

Then the Badniks begin to fire.

Antoine screams and dodge, "AIEEEEEE!"

As the group dodge, Sally begins to fall off the ledge.

Boom reaches out, "Grab my hand!"

Sally acts fast and grabs onto Sonic's hand.

"Hold on!" Boomer calls out.

At the same time, Antoine falls on what seems like a cannon. It moves forward and fires Antoine at the other, and then fires him up after moving up a ninety degree angle upward.

Meanwhile, Sally begins to feel strange.

"I…" Sally says, stunned.

And soon, many images and flashbacks begin to flow into Sally's mind. And all of them involve Sonic and Eve, especially a special relationship Sally has with Sonic.

Sally says in thought, "-I remember! It's all coming back… like a dream."

The memories continue to flash back into her mind, especially the last part of the memory. When Sally and Eve run in the hall while Sonic fights Silver Sonic, and when Eve protects Sally from being shot.

Meanwhile, Antoine continues to be launched by the cannons and ends up firing at the Badniks like a cannonball, destroying them and freeing the animals trapped inside. And lands on the ground as Boomer pulls Sally up to safer ground.

Boomer helps Antoine up and says, "That was awesome!"

"Non. Awesome is not moving. Make ze world stop moving, S'll vous plait," Antoine says, feeling very dizzy.

"And now it's gone," Sally says, rolling her eyes.

She then says, "Focus, Sally, focus."

Soon, Sally picks up a cute little penguin, and asks, "Excuse me, little one. My friends and I are trying to shut this place down and rescue everyone. Do you happen to know where the main valves are?"

The little penguin answers with a tweet and whistle, giving Sally the answer.

Sally smiles to hear that, "All right! Now we're getting somewhere! Let's finish this, and back Sonic and Eve!"

Back in the Metropolis Zone, Sonic and Eve are still searching around Eggman's base to find him.

"Near-Death experiences and close shaves with Badniks aside this place ain't half bad," Sonic says.

"You're kidding right. Those Badniks almost cut my quills," Eve says.

"Well, not that 'Life-consuming industrial wasteland' is my thing, but…" Sonic says.

Soon, the two come to a stop to see a large nut with a scream attached.

"And here I thought Eggman was the biggest nut in the world," Sonic says.

Eve laughs, "Maybe so, but to me, Eggman's is the biggest Egghead in the world."

"You got that right," Sonic says.

The two begin laughing. Sonic and Eve then jump on the nut and begin to run around on it with their speed. That causes the nut to go up.

"One more reason we need the others here. There's not that many to laugh at my jokes," Sonic says.

"Yeah," Eve says.

"Mighty have to translate it for 'Twan' into 'Dweeb-ese!" Sonic says.

Eve begins laughing, "Boomer would've liked it."

"And Sally…" Sonic says.

Then the two hedgehogs come to a stop to see Starfish-shaped Badniks.

"Would scold us for running into a trap," Sonic says.

"Oh boy," Eve says, sarcastically.

Sonic turns to Eve and questions, "Now, the question is: Which is faster? Their detonators…"

Sonic and Eve speed up and make the screw go faster. Then the two hedgehogs move out of the as the Badniks arrive. The nut is spinning up so fast that it carries the Badniks to the ceiling and crushes them.

"Or us?" Sonic says.

Then the two file into the air vent in their spin dash forms, and come out.

"Yeah. I know, stupid question," Sonic says.

Ve looks ahead and says, "Don't look now, but we got some company."

Sonic and Eve soon find themselves facing Dr. Eggman in his Egg Mobile.

Eggman claps and says with an evil smile, "Bravo! You've gone to a lot of effort to get to me, rodents!"

"'Rodents?'" Eve questions with a frown.

"You've called us that before," Sonic says.

"And we've been doing this for a lot longer than a few days," Eve says.

Eggman frowns to see and hear it, "So you've finally begun to remember, have you? Well, we can't have that."

He then shows an evil grin and calls out, "Replicas-deploy!"

Soon, the decoys appear.

Eggman and the decoy say, "Come and get me, Sonic and Eve!"

Meanwhile, in the Oil Ocean Zone… Sally, Antoine, and Boomer are able to arrive at the main valves. Boomer and Antoine turn the valves to shut the system down.

Sally handles the controls, "...Okay, that cuts the feed to this region…"

Tired, Antoine says, "Whew! I have shutted off zis pipeline."

"And I got the rest. No more oil is flowing," Boomer says, fanning himself with his cap.

Sally happily says, "You guys are the best! With the flow stopped and the lines shut down… Egman loses power to all his bases in this entire Region."

And right on cue, the Oil Ocean Zone begins to shut down, and the oil stops flowing.

Back in the Metropolis Zone, Sonic and Eve are still fighting Eggman and his replicas when they hear a 'KA THUNK' sound, and the place begins to shut down.

"Looks like you didn't pay your power pill, doc," Sonic says.

Eggman shouts, "This means nothing! The Death Egg is primed, and this entire whole will be robotized!"

Then Eggman flies away on his Egg Mobile.

"He's getting away!" Sonic says.

"After him!" Eve calls out.

With that, Sonic and Eve spin dash and run after him.

Sonic brings out his radio and calls out, "Yo, Tails! Eggman's getting 're heading out a window about a ten-minute-run from where we split up. We need pick-up!"

"That's 'Ten-minute-run' our speed you mean," Eve says.

"Yeah. I figure Tails will get that," Sonic says.

Soon enough, Sonic and Eve spin dash out the window.

Sonic calls out, "Tails? TAILS?!"

Just then, Sonic and Eve land on the wings of the Red Tornado, and safely for that matter.

"Nice dramatic timing, kid," Sonic says.

Tails laughs, "Hahaha! Sorry! You need to give me more warning next time!"

And right on cue, Sonic, Eve, Tails and Jazz begins to hear rumbling.

Tails yelps, "Yow! Talk about timing! A couple of days ago, the tremors were just annoying shake ups. This is getting out of hand."

"Yeah. If this keeps up, Mobius will break apart," Eve says.

Then Tails asks, "Does this mean Dr. Eegman wasn't the cause of the earthquakes or are we just too late?"

"No, this is definitely Eggman's fault alright," Eve says.

Then Sonic says, "And it's never too late. We just have to find him… and…"

But then Eve calls out, "Guys, look."

"Chao Chao," Jazz calls out.

Suddenly, a large airship appears past the clouds.

"… oh, well, that was easy," Sonic says.

"I'll get you as close to the deck as I can!" Tails says.

But Sonic says, "Don't bother. The whole thing is a decoy…" And points up."

The group looks up to see a rocket is blasting into space.

"He's making a break for the Death Egg!" Eve says.

"The what?" Tails asks.

"No time to explain!" Sonic says.

Then turns to Eve, "Come on, sis! Let's follow him!"

"Right!" Eve says.

Eve then uses her Chaos energy to levitate Sonic and herself up and they fly to the rocket.

"Sonic! Eve!" Be careful!" Tails calls out.

Even Jazz cries out, "Chao Chao!"

Sonic and Eve soon arrive at the rocket and grab hold of it. The rocket soon flies out into space and arrives at the Death Egg. Soon, the rocket ship arrives inside the Death Egg. The two hedgehogs jump off and land on the ground. The two cough after their little ride.

"Not one of our brighter moments…" Sonic says.

"Or ideas," Eve says.

Suddenly, Sonic looks out the window, "Whoa… Look at that."

Eve turns to see Mobius from above. Sonic and Eve are shocked.

"It's not just earthquakes," Sonic says.

"The whole planet is tearing apart," Eve adds

"Indeed," Eggman's voice appears.

Sonic and Eve turn their heads to see the mad doctor.

"It's trying desperately to return to what it once was, but when I fire the Death Egg's Robotizer… it will cement the dimensional shift, as well as turn every living thing into my robot slave," Eggman says.

Sonic and Eve are shocked to hear Eggman's statement. And suddenly, everything from the original world with their memories begin to flow back into their minds.

"So then, there was another world! The world that Mobius once was," Eve says.

"And you're the one who caused the world to tear itself apart!" Sonic says. "And there's still a chance to set things right!"

"There was, but I've changed it to be primed for my conquest…!" Eggman says.

Sonic and Eve then speed to Eggman and the hatch closes before they can spin dash at it.

Then Eggman says, "And while you might have had a chance before…"

Soon, the head rises to reveal a large Dr. Eggman robot, "It's TOO LATE NOW!"

When the Robotic Eggman arrives, Dr. Eggman begins to make his attack on the hedgehogs. As the two hedgehogs dodges the attack from the claws, and feet, Eggman laughs manically.

Then Eggman says, "I can't recall everything of the old world, but one thing I know for certain… You two hedgehogs alway ruin things at the eleventh hour! So I reshaped the whole world-reality in its entirety-to change you! But here you are-again. Trying to foil my plans-again. Getting in my way at the last possible instant-again! This time I WIN!" Eggman then uses his claw to grab the rocket. Then throws it at the Hedgehogs.

The rocket explodes sending the two hedgehogs back and falling to the ground.

Eggman has his robot walk towards the hedgehogs as he says, "You're beat, rodents. I hold all the aces. I have my Death Egg. It's powered by all the Chaos Emeralds. You CANNOT BEAT ME!"

"Did he say…" Eve says.

"Powered by the Chaos Emeralds…?" Sonic questions.

They both soon see two electrical cord that's been cut in half from the impact.

Eggman raises the robot foot over the hedgehogs and says, "Good-bye, hedgehogs!"

"You know, Doc…" Eve says, and grabs one of the cords.

Sonic then grabs the others as he says, "Sometimes you make this too easy."

The two hedgehogs then place the cord on their chest, absorbing the Chaos energy that is flowing in the cord. Before Eggman can crush them, Sonic and Eve change into their super forms and lift the robot's foot with one hand.

"Way too easy," Eve says.

With that, Sonic and Eve use their strength to push Eggman off.

Eggman cries out, "NO! NO!"

The robot crashes to the ground, but soon gets up to see the two hedgehogs have transformed and ready to fight back.

"It's not possible! A direct current like that should've fired you!" Eggman cries out in rage.

"Dude, you're the one who told us what kind of juice was running through the cables," Sonic says.

"And you know what happened to me and Sonic once we felt the power of all seven Chaos Emeralds, "Eve says.

With that, Sonic and Eve clap their hands together and send a blast at Eggman.

"RRRARHG!" Eggman screams.

Then Eggman throws the bombs as he shouts, "Hate you! Hate you! All of my hate! DIE! DIE! DIE!"

"Whoa. Brilliant come back. You're a genius, all right," Sonic says as he and Eve dodge the bombs.

"Not!" Eve says in remark.

Eve then uses her Chaos Spears to destroy all the bombs in the path.

Meanwhile, in the control room. Snively is checking the monitors and the screens.

Seeing the events, Snively tries to get a hold of Eggman, "Doctor Eggman? Uncle? Sir? W-we have a problem… The dimensional stability is degrading exponentially. I don't think even the Robotizer's effects will stop it, and whatever's going on at your position is making it worse…"

Just then, the control pads begin to short circuit and explode.

Snively covers himself, "Eek!"

In the battle, Snively is trying to get Eggman's attention, "Do you hear me! The world is tearing itself apart, and we can't stop it…!"

Eve turns to Sonic, "Do you hear that?! We don't have enough time!"

"Then we better hurry up while there's still a planet to save," Sonic says.

Then turns to Eggman robot, "First, we need to get him out of the way."

Sonic then flies and pushes Eggman back.

Eggman screams, "ARGH! CURSE YOU!"

"And for good measure!" Eve says.

Then shouts, "Chaos Bubble!"

Eve then throws her energy and creates a bubble sound Eggman, and he can't get out.

Sonic then grabs the cable cords and says, "Second, we're going to need to tap into as much Chaos power as we can."

Eve then flies to Sonic.

Then turns to Eve, "Sis, we're going to need to focus with all that we can. We might be able to set things right. Maybe even go far enough to stop this."

"You're right. If Chaos got us here, Chaos can get us back," Eve says.

Then says with a serious tone, "Of course, this will only work once, so we don't have any other options."

"Yeah. We only got one shot at this," Sonic says.

With that, Sonic and Eve each take a cable cord. Then they each take each other's hand. They both begin to focus with the power of Chaos with all their might.

With full power, Sonic and Eve shout, "CHAOS CONTROL!"

Up in space, the strong pulse of white light, mainly Chaos Energy spread across space and around the entire planet of Mobius. Everyone watches to see the bright white light consume everything.

Up in the Death Egg Sonic turns to Eve, "There… it's done."

"Now we wait and see what happens now," Eve says.

Back at the Oil Ocean Zone.

Boomer rushes to Sally, "Sally! Everything's vanishing! What do we do?!"

However, Sally smiles and says, "It's okay, Rotor. Sonic and Eve have everything under control."

"Sonic? Eve? 'Rotor'?" Boomer says, confused.

"Trust me, everything will be okay," Sally says.

She reaches her hand out, "See you, Sonic…"

"On the other side, Sally!" Sonic says, and has his hand pressed against the window.

And soon, everything goes white and disappears.
