Leena's POV

It felt good to have a day off from work for once. As a mechanic in the Citadel my place of employment was constantly full with customers. But hey I didn't complain because I loved my job and I was good at it.

Last night I had been woken up for some reason I still couldn't understand why and neither could Cypher. Speaking of which my dragon companion was currently somewhere I wasn't aware of. Cypher and I had a bond that we shared emotionally and mentally. Normally I would know where the mischievous Metal Dragon was thanks to our bond but the little sneak had his part of the bond off.

So it explained why I looking around for him. I wasn't worried though Cypher sometimes liked to go off on his own. Besides breathing fire he could cast illusions to fool others but nonetheless I wondered where the goofball was. My best bet to possibly find Cypher was Garrus.

Just the mere thought of the male turian made me blush. Ever since I first met him I fell for Garrus hard. He was handsome for one of his kind and no matter how hard other men tried I would never have feelings for anyone else but Garrus.

Cypher and Garrus got along well and sometimes the two of them could be found together. From asking around I learned where Garrus was. Upon arriving at the top level of the Citadel Tower I found an angry Garrus talking with Executor Palin.

"Saren's hiding something, give me more time, stall them"

"Stall the council? Don't be ridiculous your investigation is over Garrus"

Garrus looked pissed as Palin turned and left.

"Hey what the hell is going on?" I greeted.

When Garrus turned to me I felt my face turn red and I felt like an idiot.

"Leena? I figured you would be at work"

"I have the day off don't change the subject Vakarian"

An amused chuckle came from Garrus.

"I've been investigating Saren Arterius"

Seeing the investigation was probably classified I changed the subject.

"Have you seen Cypher? I figured he would be with you"

Garrus shook his head.

"No I haven't seen him and I take it his part of the bond is closed?"

"Yes even a dragon such as him wants privacy"

"Perhaps or maybe he's up to mischief again"

"Don't start with that the last thing I need is another headache" I growled.

Another chuckle came from the turian before he took notice of a man dressed in armor close by. With him were two others a man and a woman. They looked like they were from Systems Alliance Navy due to their armor. Garrus walked over to the human male who appeared to be in charge.

"Commander Shepard? Garrus Vakarian" Garrus introduced himself. "I was the officer in charge of the C-Sec investigation on Saren"

Saren Arterius was a turian Spectre who worked with the Citadel Council. Since I arrived at the Citadel to live the older turian had always been kind to me. Lately I've been hearing negative crap about the turian.

"Come across anything I should know about?" Commander Shepard asked.

"Saren's a Spectre most of his activities are classified, I couldn't find anything solid but I know he's up to something, like you humans say I feel it in my gut" Garrus replied.

"I think the council is ready for us Commander" the other human male notified Commander Shepard.

"Good luck Shepard maybe they'll listen to you" Garrus stated to the Commander.

Shepard nodded his thanks before he walked off with his comrades following behind him.

"So something fishy is going on with Saren huh?" I questioned.

"Unfortunately yes" Garrus answered looking to me.

"Thank god I didn't choose politics as a career the whole idea just gives me a damn headache" I growled.

"Your better at fixing things anyway" Garrus added. "As are you a skilled gunner"

His comment made me want to roll my eyes. Guns were my choice of weaponry and I always carried two of them whenever I wasn't working. But I forgot to bring the damn things when I left the apartment due to me wanting to find Cypher.

"I'm not as skilled as you are with shooting Garrus"

This was a given fact because Garrus was damned good with any gun. Hell even his sniper skills scared me though I wouldn't admit that to him.

"It has been some time since the two of us had a friendly shoot off" Garrus pointed out.

"Duh because we're both working, and besides you would only kick my ass again"

The last time we had a friendly shoot off he ended up beating me.

"I'll keep an eye out for Cypher" the male turian suddenly promised. "He's probably okay but it wouldn't hurt to be vigilant"

I nodded my thanks and the two of us parted ways. Maybe one of these days I would finally have the courage to ask Garrus out. Within my mind the black panther purred in agreement and I smiled as I resumed my search for Cypher.
