Leena and Garrus reunite!

Leena's POV

"The f**k is going on?" I asked hearing gunfire from outside. I looked out the window but saw nothing.

Saren was doing something with his Omni Tool and he looked mad about something. The older turian then growled before coming over to me.

"I'm afraid the base is being attacked and it looks like Shepard is aiding the salarians"

Mentally I was thrilled to hear that news but I couldn't let Saren see that.

"Damn it"

Saren then drew me into him and he claimed a quick kiss. Afterward, he placed his forehead against mine.

"You will be safe in here, for now, I'll come back and get you soon my Leena" he promised before storming towards the doors.

I went to look back out the window. If the Commander was here then so was Garrus.

Please don't get killed Garrus I prayed.

Cypher's POV

The fighting was getting intense and there was no doubt there were already some casualties. After some patrolling, I felt where Leena was thanks to the bond we shared. She was stressed though and due to that, the bond on her end was weak. I hid and waited for the opportune moment to make a move. From my hiding spot, I saw the doors below the opening, and out came a pissed-off Saren.

By now he knew we were here and he looked like he was ready to kill someone. The older turian suddenly looked right at me and I froze.

Shit, can he see me? I thought.

Saren's eyes had fog in them and I bet that was due to Sovereign's control. For about five minutes both the turian and I looked at one another before he eventually scoffed and walked away. Another five minutes passed before I finally grinned.

"It's show time"

Leena's POV

"Oh shit!" I exclaimed as flames suddenly appeared right outside the window. I recognized those flames anywhere!

Then I felt Cypher urging me through his emotions to take cover and I did. The bedroom exploded and when it was clear did I come out from where I took cover.

"Miss me?" Cypher joked from his perch. The Metal Dragon had created a good size hole in what used to be the bedroom wall.

"You have no idea buddy!"

I rushed over to Cy and I grabbed him in a tight hug.

"I'm so glad your okay Cy, I was worried about you"

"Please it will take more than a damn tranquilizer to bring me down" was his reply.

The Metal Dragon then used his tail to throw me a gun. Mine had been taken while I was under the sedative. Both of us peeked outside to see if any geth were on guard duty but we saw none thanks to Cypher burning the hell out of them.

"Let's get the hell out of here" Cy growled.

"Couldn't agree with you more"

Garrus's POV

We were deep in Saren's base now. We rescued an Asari along with a still sane salarian who was kept, prisoner. The mission was going according to plan and I hoped Cypher had found Leena by now. Despite his illusions, the Metal Dragon's powers had their limits.

At the moment we were in Saren's private lab and we were surprised to see another beacon. Shepard put his weapons away before approaching the beacon. His body then went into a trance-like state as another vision came to him. When his vision ended he collapsed to the ground.

Leena's POV

I was in a lab and the smell in here made me want to throw up. Cypher felt the same but then he suddenly got excited and then I recognized the scent of the turian I loved. Not caring if there were geth crawling around I hurried after the scent and a few minutes later I found them. Commander Shepard was getting off the floor and Wrex was asking if the human male was alright.

Garrus suddenly turned around but when he saw me he dropped his weapon. He then rushed over and soon held me in his arms. Tears of relief flowed down my face and I had to touch his face to make sure he was really there.

"I'm right here Leena" Garrus reassured me. "I'm real"

I only smiled and my boyfriend kissed my forehead and wiped my tears away.

"Leena, are you hurt?" Shepard asked after Garrus and I pulled apart.

"No I'm fine I'm glad to see you, Commander, you too Wrex"

"Back at ya, Cypher took his sweet time sleeping"

"I was under a damn drug idiot" the Metal Dragon growled. He then used his claws to form the bird and he gestured it at the krogan. Wrex burst out laughing. Ahead of them was a machine I never seen before but I'm pretty sure I knew what it was.

"Is that another beacon?" I asked nodding at the machine.

"Yeah and I just had another vision" Shepard replied. "Let's look around before we get out of here"

"And you are staying with me" Garrus added looking at me.

"Not gonna argue on that one love"

Garrus chuckled before we examined the lab. Nothing stood out until Shepard found something and we joined him.

"This is not good" Garrus muttered as a red projection appeared.

"You are not Saren"

Immediately a snarl escaped my lips and Cypher was baring his fangs.

"That thing is what is controlling Saren, this creature is Sovereign"

"You are correct shifter female I am Sovereign, rudimentary creatures of flesh and blood, you touch my mind, tumbling in ignorance, incapable of understanding"

"This isn't just a ship it's also a Reaper" Shepard pointed out.

The more Sovereign spoke the angrier I got. At some point, I drew my gun out and pointed it at Sovereign's projection.

"We'll find you, and blow your god damn race into extinction, because of you a once good turian is now under your control"

I may not love Saren but I still cared enough that he shouldn't be a damn slave to this f**king parasite.

"You are nothing but a mere being who will eventually die shifter, you still wish to protect Saren despite the pain and atrocities he has created"

Cypher had enough and he flew off from my shoulder and burned the machines around the projection. I felt Garrus intertwine his hand into my free one. I looked to the turian I loved.

"Let's go"

I nodded and Cypher returned to my shoulder. We left the lab burning behind us and I was glad to be out of there.
