Kaiden and Ashley both live!

Leena's POV

Shepard oversaw the nuke being taken to its target. Kaiden and the men placed it down gently and all that had to be done now was activate it from a safe distance. The sounds of gunfire continued in the distance and the sky looked like there was a storm coming.

"Commander, can you read me?" Ashley asked.

Shepard told her that the nuke was almost ready and ordered her to get to the rendezvous point but she couldn't due to the geth having her group trapped on the AA tower. The salarian captain was dead and so were other members of her group.

Kaiden reassured Shepard he could handle things here but to be on the safe side I made Cypher stay with him. The Metal Dragon protested but when he saw the look on my face he relented before suddenly taking flight from my shoulder.

His body then grew bigger and when he landed back in the water he stood in his true form.

"Wow you look more lethal" Wrex teased the Metal Dragon.

"That's the point" Cypher answered. "Go when the nuke is ready I'll meet with you guys at the tower"

The Metal Dragon then flashed us a wink.

Getting to the AA tower was definitely no easy task. The geth numbers were higher and we even had to kill some krogan. Wrex said that Saren had found a cure for the genophage and a good portion of krogan served him.

When we were closer to the tower a geth ship flew over to Kaiden and Cypher's location. I heard Cypher roar before flames became visible and the Metal Dragon was in the air burning the geth ship to his heart's desire. Kaiden told Shepard the nuke was ready to go. Commander Shepard ordered Ashley to radio Joker before we continued onwards.

We finally arrived at the tower and sure enough, there were shit loads of geth here. I began firing rounds at the bastards and I stayed close to Garrus. Shepard and Wrex were with Ashley as parts of the tower exploded.

"Shit!" I yelled when I saw Saren.

The older turian was on some kind of transporter and he shot some blasts at Shepard, Wrex, and Ashley first before turning to me and Garrus. With a snarl, he shot a blast at Garrus but my boyfriend avoided being hit. But I was now separated from him and Saren was already off of his transport and he was heading my way.

I hated doing it but I had no choice but to shoot at the older turian long enough to get over to where Garrus was. Shepard chose that moment to fire rounds at Saren while Garrus held me in his arms.

"Are you alright?" I asked Garrus.

Garrus nodded while Shepard talked with Saren. While Saren spoke I felt my heartache for his current predicament.

I may not love him but I can't stand by and watch Sovereign destroy a man who was once good I thought.

"But you would undo my work, you would doom our entire civilization to complete annihilation, for you take the woman I love away from me, all of you will die"

Garrus kept me down as Shepard, Wrex, and Ashley began to fight with Saren. The fight didn't last long but it made things around the tower unstable. Then I saw Saren suddenly coming in our direction and his murderous gaze was on Garrus.

Throwing down my gun I shifted to my panther form and despite Garrus protesting I charged and leaped into the air. I surprised Saren when I landed on his chest and the two of us fell to the ground. I bared my teeth to let the older turian know I would kill him if I had to. I would protect the one I loved and my friends.

But as I looked into Saren's eyes I saw they weren't foggy like before and I knew Sovereign wasn't controlling him at the moment. I made a mournful sound and then used my tongue to lick Saren's face above his right mandible before getting off of him. I hurried back to Garrus and I reverted to my human form.

The sound of an alarm filled the air and it was the alarm telling everyone the nuke was about to go off. Saren heard the alarm too and hurriedly got to his feet. He shot me a saddened look before going over to his transport and he fled.

Cypher's POV

"Burn mother***kers!" I roared as I unleashed a stream of my fire at the geth. Kaiden was the only survivor with our group and he hurriedly climbed onto my back and I told him to hang on before I took flight.

Leena's POV

Just as the Normandy arrived so did Cypher. He used his tail to get Kaiden off of his back before the Metal Dragon reverted to his smaller form and fell towards the ground. Wrex caught the exhausted dragon in his grasp as the Normandy hatch opened and we all got the hell on board.

Once we were on board Joker got the Normandy out of Virmire and into space just as the nuke went off.

Garrus's POV

Leena suddenly became unconscious and I quickly grabbed her.

"She's exhausted," Shepard told me. "Go and make sure she gets some rest, keep her company"

"Thank you Shepard it's because of you I have her back"

"No, it's her love that brought her back to you" the human male corrected.

I smirked before taking the worn-out Leena into my arms and headed in the direction of her room.

Later

Leena's POV

When I woke up I saw myself in the room I used on the Normandy. Next to me was Garrus and he was sound asleep. He had changed out of his armor and wore more comfortable turian clothing. I still wore my Tomb Raider outfit.

As though he sensed I was awake Garrus opened his eyes.

"Leena"

I shut him up due to the kiss that I was given him. I had to make sure I wasn't dreaming. But it was no dream and Garrus Vakarian was really here with me. Eventually, I pulled away.

"I was scared I wouldn't see you again" I confessed.

"I would fight to the ends of the galaxy to get to you Leena, and I did"

He then sat up and pulled me into his lap and he caressed my face.

"And I was ready to kill anyone who stood in my way"

The turian then placed his head against my shoulder and inhaled my scent. Then he claimed my mouth with his in a mind-blowing kiss and it was one hell of a welcome back kiss too. I was safe with the turian I loved again and that was all that mattered. That and to save the freaking galaxy from the Reapers.
