5 days until the party.
Training Room (Morning)
The sound of something sharp cutting through a sandbag was the only thing anyone would be able to hear, as Gregory had entered the Training Room after he woke up to...relieve some pent up aggression. Ice covered every surface in the room like a mini-snowstorm had just happened. Just touching it would've given a human severe frostbite. (Pun not intended.) Walking over to the storage closet with his eyes glowing, the young Rose retrieved another sandbag. In seconds, it was torn to shreds.
"Stay calm. Stay calm." he told himself as his blue eyes returned to their normal state. Still, the bags under them from lack of sleep weren't going anywhere. "C'mon, you've killed 8 Winged Nosks without breaking a sweat. How is this getting under your skin?"
You don't need to go through this alone.
"I'm not going to another therapist." Gregory said, despite nobody else being in the room with him.
Your family can help you.
"I'm not going to burden them with my own issues. Ruby doesn't deserve that."
Your other family.
The boy's eyes went wide at that. Before he could reply, the door to the room opened. "Gregory, what are you doing?" Ruby asked, rubbing her eyes groggily.
Looking at his sister's face, the boy was wracked with guilt. But he wouldn't cause any more pain. "Just...training." he said, looking past his twin to stare at the wall behind her. He didn't want to make eye contact.
"It's 6:50 A. M." Ruby said, pointing at an open window. Sure enough, the sun was rising. "Anyways, I wanted to talk to you and Dominic about something. Could you both come to my Team's Dorm? Bring Connor and Ivy too."
"Sure. Just need to do something first." Gregory said as he left the room with his sister.
You can't run from this forever. You will eventually have to face this.
He needed some coffee.
"Can I please see her, Daddy? She's so pretty and shiny! Didn't you make her just for me?"
Team RWBY Dorm (Day)
Breathing slowly and clasping his hands together, Dominic addressed his younger sister's Team as calmly as he could. "Let me see if I have this right. You want to directly attack the single most famous, or infamous, terrorist organization in Remnant simply because you think some big conspiracy is happening?"
The nervous looks on Yang and Ruby's faces were priceless to behold. The male blonde approached his fellow Leader and patted her head softly.
"You two are definitely my sisters." he said with a smile, making Weiss, Blake, and Ivy all sweatdrop.
"Thanks, Dominic. Now, let the investigation BEGIN!" Ruby proclaimed.
"I'm glad we're taking this SO seriously." Weiss said sarcastically.
"Hey, we've got a plan. That's...moderately serious." Yang said.
"Yeah. And, if everything goes to sheep, you can just blame the person who made the plan in the first place." Connor added.
"Okay... Everyone remember their roles?" Ruby asked.
"You and I will head to the CCT and check the Schnee records for any other Dust robberies or inconsistencies." Weiss said. "Seeing as I'm in the family, it shouldn't be a problem."
"The White Fang has regular faction meetings to hand out orders and recruit new members." Blake informed. "If I can get in, hopefully I can find out what they're planning."
"Just be careful. After what happened at the docks, I REALLY don't think they'll be welcoming." Connor warned. "Try wearing something to mask your scent. Once they know you're there, well, you get the idea."
"I have an old friend on the shady side of town that typically knows everything going on in Vale." Yang said.
"Didn't you blow up his nightclub?" Gregory asked, remembering a news report about a club that was torn to pieces by a nameless blonde girl. It wasn't hard for him to figure out who the culprit was.
"Yeah! That's why getting information out of him will be so easy." the Brawler explained, making her siblings face-palm.
"We'll meet up at Junior's tonight to go over what we learned, got it?" Ruby asked, to which everyone nodded.
"Me and Connor will join Blake. I don't feel right leaving her alone at what is basically a 'Terrorist-Con'." Dominic said.
"I appreciate the sentiment, but won't Connor be recognized as a Schnee? Even if you got past that, you're humans." Blake asked, curious as to what the Knight was thinking.
"This isn't the first time I've had to sneak into places without being noticed. I have a friend with a Concealment Semblance. I just need to call him and we'll have the perfect disguise." the blonde said, referring to Shadow. It wouldn't be difficult to get him to help. That guy was as loyal as one could be.
"What happened to this being a secret mission?!" Weiss yelled.
"It's fine. I trust Dominic's judgment. If he says this guy will help, he'll help." Connor said, reassuring his sister.
"Then Ivy and I will join Ruby and Weiss. I'm not going with Yang to tear down a broken-down nightclub, and I'm certainly NOT going with my brother to storm the enemy's front door." Gregory said, making up his mind.
"Okay, then. Let's do this!" Ruby exclaimed, pumping her fist.
"Yeah!" a new voice said from outside the window. Turning their heads as fast as they would go, they saw a familiar blonde faunus hanging from his tail.
"SUN!?" everyone barring Dominic screamed. The pyromancer still didn't remember his former ally, and likely wouldn't ever remember him.
"How the hell did you manage to get all the way up here? This is the third floor!" Ivy asked.
"Aw, it's easy. I do it all the time!" Sun said, unknowlingly putting him on three separate hitlists.
"YOU WHAT!?"/"YOU WHAT!?" Connor and Dominic said at the same time, with the latter's voice turning monstrous.
"I climb trees all the time." the faunus clarified, ignorant to the burning gaze Dominic gave him.
'I'm watching you, whoever you are. Always watching.' he thought as his newest toy for target practice jumped into the room.
"So, we finally getting back at that Torchwick guy?" Sun asked.
"No, we are. You go home." Gregory said sternly.
"Sorry Sun, we don't want to get friends involved if we don't have to." Ruby explained, apologizing.
"That's dumb. You should ALWAYS get friends involved. That's why I brought Neptune." Sun said, gesturing to the window. The rest of the group looked out and saw the blue-haired boy holding onto a ledge for dear life.
"Sup." he greeted.
"How did you even get up here?" Ruby asked.
"I have my ways." Neptune explained mysteriously. "Seriously though, can you let me in? We're like...really high up right now."
