Leena's POV
"Nice guns" the Asari cop greeted us as we approached her desk. "Try not to use them in my district, what can I do for you?"
"I'm looking for an Asari warrior named Samara" Shepard answered taking a seat.
"If you've got a score to settle with Samara take it somewhere else, I've got more than enough trouble here already" the cop replied.
The Commander explained that Samara was needed for our mission and once she joined us would we be on our way. The detective explained Samara was at a crime scene close by and she wanted her out of her district. The detective also introduced herself as Anaya. The Commander got some important information from the detective before we took our leave.
We were warned Eclipse mercs were in the area too. According to Anaya, a volus merchant had been murdered and it appeared to be a professional hit. Two Asari cops were guarding the crime scene area but acknowledged us as we walked past them and like their colleague they told us to be careful.
After some walking around we met up with round one of the mercs and we easily brought them down with gunfire and the help of Shepard's biotics. When we entered the next area an Eclipse warrior was sent flying and she landed hard on the ground. Nearby another Eclipse merc was being cornered by someone. Like her colleague, the Eclipse merc was sent flying through a window and she landed on her back as an older-looking Asari dressed in all red jumped down to the merc.
She was definitely a strong biotic user and I felt a little intimidated by this Asari. This was Samara and the Justicar approached the merc demanding answers from the Eclipse merc. But the merc told Samara to go to hell and Samara killed her a few seconds later. Then her attention was drawn to us.
"My name is Samara, a servant of the Justicar Code, my quarrel is with these Eclipse sisters, but I see three well-armed people before me, are we friend or foe?"
"I'm not an enemy" I confessed.
Samara nodded at me before asking how she could be of service to us.
"My team and I are going up against suicidal odds and I need the best that's you" Shepard answered.
"I sense the truth in what you say and it humbles me, but I seek an incredibly dangerous fugitive, I cornered her here but the Eclipse sisters smuggled her off-world, I must find the name of the ship she left on before the trail goes cold"
"So if we find the name of the ship and give it to you, you'll join us?" I asked.
"Indeed" Samara confirmed.
"I was hoping you were willing to go with the human, Justicar, I've been ordered to take you into custody if you don't leave," Detective Anaya said as she joined us.
Samara agreed to be detained for one day but anytime after that she would leave whether Detective Anaya or her superiors liked it or not. Before leaving Samara explained a volus named Pitne For was linked to the Eclipse mercs. They were preparing to kill him.
Once Samara and the detective left we walked around and managed to find the volus in question.
"Oh hello," the volus greeted us.
"Why are the mercs after you?" Shepard demanded.
Of course, the volus pretended not to know what the human was talking about but at the mention of the Eclipse, he cooperated. He explained that he smuggled a chemical onto Illium that boosted biotic powers in combat but the downside was that it was toxic. The idiot forgot to mention that to the Eclipse so they were pissed off and wanted to kill him.
Pitne For didn't know anything about the ship the fugitive Samara was looking for left on but he suggested that perhaps there might be something in the Eclipse base. He gave us his pass card and told us where to go before we left.
Using the pass card we entered the elevator and a short ride later we were at the base. The three of us began to exchange gunfire with the mercs. At some point, we heard someone praying and it was revealed to be an Eclipse merc who looked to be inexperienced. We learned from her that an Ardat-Yakshi had been smuggled off-world.
"It's an Asari word meaning "Demon of the Night Winds", I bet that's who Samara is looking for" I explained to Shepard and Garrus.
The Commander told the merc to leave and she didn't hesitate to do so. Shepard led us up a flight of stairs and we met combat with more mercs. I had to duck because I almost got shot by one of them and Garrus shot the idiot down.
During one of the fights, Shepard yelled he wished Cypher was with us. I was glad he wasn't because I didn't want my best bud to get poisoned by the chemical the volus mentioned about. In one of the rooms, Shepard uncovered a recording of the merc we found earlier. I knew I didn't like her because she was responsible for killing that volus that Anaya talked about.
"Aw hell no" I growled when we crossed paths with a gunship. We all took cover as the damn thing began to fire rounds at us and the Commander used a powerful gun to bring it down. Shepard overrode a door and found some information Anaya might be interested in.
We found another volus and the idiot bumped into Shepard as though he were drunk. He mumbled bullshit and I face palmed. As he continued his bragging Shepard gave the volus a kick to the back and he fell down. When he got back up he appeared confused and decided to walk off mumbling about a nap.
We eventually arrived where we needed to go and another Eclipse merc was waiting for us. Using her biotics she sent a barrel of the poison chemicals at us and we dodged it. Bringing her down wasn't that hard but we did deal with several more mercs before coming upon the datapad the lead merc had been holding.
Sure enough, the name of the ship was on the device and we headed back to the police station. There Shepard told Samara the name of the ship she had been looking for as well as giving the detective other information we found at the base. Now that we fulfilled our part of the bargain Samara accepted the offer of joining the crew.
Later.
Still Leena's POV
"You know Leena you should have a bachelorette party" Jack suggested.
"Ooh count me in" Tali agreed.
"Your getting married?" Samara asked turning to me.
"Yep and she's marrying Garrus," Cypher said from my shoulder. Before we returned to the Normandy we retrieved the Metal Dragon from Liara. Liara said she would try and make arrangements to take some time off when the wedding occurred.
I was blushing now and a girl's night out didn't sound like a bad idea.
"Anyway have you decided where and when the wedding is going to happen?" Tali asked.
"All I know is that it will be soon, when and where I have no idea" I confessed.
"Well, at least I'll have an excuse to drink" Jack joked.
"What's going on here?" Garrus asked joining us.
"Girl stuff" Tali answered.
"Uh-huh well if you ladies don't mind I need to borrow my bride"
To prove his point my mate threw me over his shoulder and Cypher wolf-whistled before flapping over to Jack. The turian ended up taking us back to our room and he set me onto my feet.
"After our next Collector mission is when I want us to be married Leena" Garrus explained. "I managed to persuade Shepard to give everyone shore leave at the Citadel, how would you feel about marrying me on the Normandy?"
I smirked at his idea and I kissed his mouth plates.
"I like it but our wedding night isn't going to be on the ship"
"Your damn right it won't be" the turian purred in agreement.
