Leena's POV

It was still surreal I was actually a married woman now but I had no complaints. My husband and I made the most of our shore leave worth it. And most of it was spent in bed. My back had several claw marks as evidence from the constant lovemaking newlyweds tended to have. But tomorrow we would leave the Citadel to deal with the Collector situation.

The Commander asked if Garrus and I could swing by the Normandy. Upon arrival, I was very surprised to see Saren talking with Shepard and Thane. Saren and Garrus exchanged greetings before my husband decided to go to the Main Battery.

"Saren what brings you here?" I asked the older turian.

"The council wants me to help Shepard deal with the Collectors" the reinstated Spectre answered.

Now I hadn't expected to hear that but perhaps with the older turian joining us dealing with the Collectors might be easier.

"I bet Rue isn't too pleased your going to be gone for some time" I teased.

"She already voiced her displeasure, but she understands what my duties are"

"So what is going on? I know you wouldn't call me unless it was something important, Commander"

"My son Kolyat is here on the Citadel" Thane responded.

The drell explained that it had been ten years since he last saw his son. As a matter of fact, he gave us a very detailed memory of his son when he was younger.

"Shit I wish I had a memory like yours" I joked.

My remark got Thane to smile a little while Saren wore an amused smirk. The drell continued his background which included the death of his wife and leaving Kolyat with relatives. For reasons of being an assassin, Thane kept his distance from his son. Saren however wasn't happy about that on the other hand.

"You should have put aside your feelings about your work and been there for your child"

"You are correct I should have" Thane agreed. "I want to atone for my past, Kolyat has taken a job as a hitman and I want to stop him, this is a path he shouldn't walk, Saren has said positive things about you, Leena, as you are a good gunner, I would like for you join me and Shepard for this"

"Been talking about me eh old friend?" I teased Saren again.

"I spoke the truth" Saren muttered.

I patted the older turian on his shoulder before Shepard, Thane, and I left the Normandy to pursue Koyalt. We took a sky car to C-Sec and upon arrival, EDI informed us that a drell had passed through customs recently. A short walk later we stood before Captain Bailey.

"My associate is trying to find his son, we think a local criminal may have hired him" Shepard explained.

"This should be easy we don't see many drell here"

Bailey then found some information and shared it with us.

"One of my men reported a drell recently, and he was talking to Mouse, interesting"

"Mouse?" Thane and I asked in unison.

"A petty criminal, probably not the guy who hired your boy, but a messenger, he's a former duct rat, runs errands for anyone who'll pay" Bailey informed us.

The cop then told us where to find this Mouse guy and before leaving the captain congratulated me on my marriage to Garrus and told Shepard to let him know if we needed assistance. I blushed and thanked him before we left C-Sec. We went to the Dark Star and at a comm terminal, we approached a human male who appeared to be in his twenties.

The kid was finishing up some business when the Commander asked if he was Mouse. The kid turned around about to ask what he wanted before recognizing Thane.

"Oh shit! Krios? I thought you retired!"

Mouse was also surprised to see the Commander alive and well.

"What do you want with me?" he inquired.

Thane placed a reassuring hand on the kid's shoulder. The drell explained Mouse used to be a contact when he was active and give him information on targets. Thane however got straight to the point with his former contact. He grabbed Mouse by the collar of his shirt.

"You gave another drell instructions for an assassination, who's the target?"

Mouse was hesitant to answer because if he was found out to being a snitch he could be killed. But the kid eventually complied with encouragement from Shepard. According to Mouse, the person who hired him was Elias Kelham. Mouse also gave us some extra information and told Thane to put a bullet in Kelham if that was possible before taking his leave.

We returned to C-Sec so we could speak with Bailey again. Bailey didn't like hearing we were after Kelham since the two of them had an agreement. But as promised he said he would help us and get Kelham in so he could be interrogated.

A short time later Kelham was brought in but we would have to hurry because a lawyer showed up. I then had an idea on how to get Kelham to spill and I told Thane and the Commander. Shepard was down with my plan and Thane looked amused.

Kelham had been expecting Bailey but was surprised to see the three of us when we entered the room. I felt my canines elongate and allowed my eyes to glow as I placed my hand onto Kelham's shirt collar and made the bastard look into my eyes.

"As you see I am a shifter, and if you play your cards right I won't consider eating you, now you don't want that do you?"

"Hell no, what is it you want to know?" Kelham asked trying his best not to sound scared shitless of my threat.

"You contracted an assassin, who is the target?"

"Joram Talid" Kelham responded. "A turian who's running for office, he lives in the 800 blocks"

Having the information we needed we left Kelham and Thane said to me.

"Would you have really considered eating him?"

"No, but some shifters of the carnivore variety have done it before"

"Which is why I always want to stay on your good side Leena" Shepard added.

Bailey waited for us outside of the interrogation area.

"So what's the story? Why did Kelham hire the boy?" the human wondered.

"Assassination a turian named Joram Talid, you know him?"

"Joram? Yeah you might have seen posters around, he's promising to end organized crime in the ward, except his message is all mixed up in race politics, he's anti-human"

"Sounds like an asshole" I spat.

Bailey agreed with my remark before having another officer take us to the 800 blocks. A short sky car ride later we found the turian in question. The only problem was that he had a Krogan bodyguard and Talid was interacting with voters. Thane suggested the Commander and I follow Talid from the maintenance catwalks and give Thane updates along the way.

Shepard and I went to the catwalks and waited for Talid to move. After speaking with some voters the turian politician was on the move and we followed him while giving Thane updates. Talid made a brief stop to talk with more voters before continuing on his way. The turian and his bodyguard stopped outside of a store and the Krogan went inside while Talid watched.

Eventually, the Krogan rejoined his employer and the two began to walk again. When we went through a pair of doors a human man surprised us but Shepard fooled the poor guy by pretending a bomb was nearby and the man ran for it.

"Damn Shepard your terrible"

"I can't believe he actually fell for that"

I rolled my eyes as the human and I continued following our targets. Well, we were until we caught sight of another drell who had been lingering in the shadows.

"Oh shit" the Commander and I swore before hauling ass to the lower level just as the younger drell pushed aside a man who yelled and drew out a gun. The Commander called out Kolyat's name and he looked at Shepard for a moment before shooting down the Krogan bodyguard. Talid booked it into his apartment and Kolyat pursued the turian.

We followed the younger drell and found him pointing his gun at Talid. The turian was on his knees at the mercy of Kolyat. Both Shepard and I had our own guns pointed at the younger drell.

"Kolyat," Thane said.

"This is a joke, now? Now you show up?" Kolyat demanded.

Talid begged for Thane's help just as Bailey arrived with some backup. The older human told Thane to drop the gun.

"Get out of my way, I'm walking out and he's coming with me"

"They'll have snipers outside," Thane told his son.

"I don't need your help" Kolyat snapped just as Shepard shot at the lamp next to Kolyat and this caught the drell off guard.

"What the hell?"

I then went over to Kolyat and gave him a good punch to the face. Shepard told Talid to leave and the turian politician didn't hesitate to do so.

"You son of a bitch" Kolyat growled at us.

"Your father doesn't have much time left he's trying to make up for his mistakes" Shepard went on.

"What? So you want forgiveness? So you can die in peace or something?" Kolyat questioned his father with a wave of his hand.

"I came to grant you peace" Thane responded as he approached his son. The assassin paused for a moment before continuing. "Your angry because I wasn't there when your mother died"

"You weren't there when she was alive, why should you be there when she died?"

The younger drell was getting emotional and I felt bad for him.

"Your mother, they killed her to get to me, it was my fault"

Kolyat was surprised to hear that.

"After her body was given to the deep, I went to find them, the triggermen, the ringleaders, I hurt them eventually killed them, when I went back to see you, you were older I should have stayed with you"

"I guess it's too bad for me you waited so long huh?"

"Kolyat I've taken many bad things out of this world, you're the only good thing I ever added to it"

The younger drell began to shed tears and Thane placed a hand on his son's shoulder.

Later.

Still Leena's POV

Thane and Kolyat spent some time together talking at C-Sec. Thane eventually returned and said that though the problems he shared with Kolyat couldn't be fixed with words, they would keep talking and see how things between them would go over time. Kolyat would likely do community service but he was going to be okay. We left C-Sec after Thane thanked Bailey and shook hands with him.

"Thank you for helping me," Thane told me and the Commander.

"I'm just glad you still have a chance to reconcile with your son before you pass on my friend," I told the drell and patted his shoulder.

Thane smiled at me and the Commander did as well. I decided to return to the hotel since I wasn't needed back on the Normandy until tomorrow. The room was empty when I returned and I stripped my clothes off and took a shower.

Afterward, I covered myself in one of the sheets and waited for my husband to return. A half-hour later said turian returned.

"Spirits Leena you have a bad habit of trying to lure me into intercourse," Garrus said when he saw I was only in a sheet.

"Says the turian who has a habit of making me want sex" I countered. "It's our last night here babe, I want to make it count"

"Then I'll satisfy what my bride wishes" my Archangel purred before he removed his own clothing and proceeded to get on top of me.

His mouth plates met with my lips as he lowered me beneath him. My legs went around his waist and it wasn't long until he was fully inside me. But instead of fast and hard sex this time it was slow and gentle. When he had his fill Garrus rolled our bodies over and soon I was riding him on top. He held onto my waist as I moved my body in the way he liked.

My husband was first to reach his climax and him losing control inside me made me shriek before I eventually collapsed against him. I removed myself from his shaft and looked into his beautiful blue eyes. I then felt a few tears go down my face.

"What's wrong Leena?" Garrus wondered.

He placed a hand onto my face.

"Nothing is wrong, I am happy Garrus, I love you so damn much"

My husband sat up and pulled me closer to him. He kissed my tears away before taking my left hand and brought it to his mouth and kissed it.

"And words cannot describe how much I love you in return Leena, as I said in my vows you are my heart, body, and soul"

He pressed his face against my chest to where my heart beat. I kissed the spots where his scars were and my husband purred when I did that.
