Leena's POV

"Aw hell no a damn Reaper is guarding the Shroud?" I asked.

I was in the war room alongside with my husband, Primarch Victus, Saren, Shepard, Wrex, and Mordin. Cypher and Shale lounged on my shoulders.

"Yes and it's using the Shroud to poison Tuchanka's atmosphere, problematic" Mordin confirmed.

"If they want a fight they just got one" Wrex stated.

"Primarch we're going to need your help" Shepard informed Victus.

"What is it you need of me?" the Primarch wondered.

Shepard recommended turian airships deal with the Reaper from the air while Wrex and his men could attack from the ground.

"Worst case scenario Cypher and I could distract the Reaper" Shale offered.

"Shut it sis" Cy growled.

Eve also needed to come so the cure could be finished.

"I'll keep Eve company" I volunteered. "With the Metal Dragons alongside myself, we can provide extra protection"

The meeting concluded and I went to my quarters to get my armor on. Afterward, I met up with Eve in the medical wing.

"I figured you would want some extra protection"

"I appreciate your company Leena" Eve said.

"You've grown on me since we got you out of Sur'Kesh" I admitted blushing.

Eve chuckled and soon we were heading towards the shuttle where the others were waiting. Saren and Garrus were going to accompany Shepard.

"How can you krogan stand the sands? It's itchy as hell" Cypher complained as Cortez drove the shuttle out of the Normandy.

Wrex burst out laughing while I shook my head along with Shale. Wrex then told us the other clans would be meeting at a place called the Hallows. It was a sacred meeting ground for the Krogan. Eve noticed Shepard looked troubled and he was about to explain why when the shuttle shook and another Krogan spoke out to Wrex.

"Wrex this is Wreav the Reapers are already at the Hollows! Come out with guns blazing!"

"Wrex who the heck was that?" I inquired.

"My brother" Wrex responded. "He's a pain in the ass"

Cortez lowered the shuttle and the moment the door opened a Husk got killed by Wrex. Shepard along with Saren and Garrus went to aide Wrex while I stayed behind with Eve. Shale took to her larger form as Eve got out of the shuttle.

The Metal Dragoness then unleashed her fury with her dragon fire at any enemies that tried to get too close. Shepard gave me the all-clear and I got my guns out before nodding for Eve to follow me. Shale decided to wait outside while the female krogan and I ventured inside the Hallows with Cypher perched on my shoulder.

Inside there were many Krogan from different clans and Wrex was being given a hard time by another Krogan who had to be his brother Wreav. Wreav was talking bullshit when I decided to clear the air and whistled loud enough to shut everybody up. Most of the other krogan were looking at Eve.

"You can stay here and let old wounds fester as krogan have always done, or you can fight the enemy you were born to destroy!" Eve began as she walked into the room. "And win a new future for our children, I choose to fight"

"Spoken like the badass female you are" I agreed with Eve. "I choose to fight alongside her what about the rest of you?"

Soon others voiced in their desire to fight and I smirked. Soon we were on transports making their way towards the Shroud. While on the way Shepard explained that the Dalatrass tried to convince the Commander to sabotage the cure. He even played an audio recording of the Dalatrass talking about the Shroud.

"F**k her" I spat. "The genophage needs to end"

Mordin was determined to fix the sabotage so the cure could be possible.

"You just spared our race another genocide Commander thank you"

The transport suddenly stopped and Shepard went outside to investigate. Turned out the road was messed up however soon the sounds of gunfire along with the Reaper's roar were heard. Shepard ordered Wrex to get Eve out of there and the transport was hauling ass out of the area.

Over the commlink, Shepard said he was underground along with Garrus and Saren. From what Shepard was describing the underground area where he was at looked like ruins. Eve corrected the human male that he was in the City of the Ancients.

Occasionally someone said the underground ruins shook. Eve then explained the tremors might possibly be a Thresher Maw named Kalros. She was supposedly the mother of all Thresher Maws and this region was her territory.

"God I'm glad I'm not down there," I told her and Wrex with a shiver. "I hate Thresher Maws"

"Kalros is huge" Wrex added. "She's larger than Shale or Cypher when they are in their true forms"

"Not helping Wrex" Cypher growled.

"I happen to find Thresher Maws quite delicious," Shale said from her spot on my shoulder. She reverted to her smaller form prior to getting on the transports.

"Say what?!" Cypher protested. "Since when have you eaten one?!"

"On missions with Tarquin and don't worry little brother I make sure to eat the parts that aren't hazardous to my health" Shale teased.

"You have a sick sense of humor Shale" Wrex reprimanded the Metal Dragoness. Shale only responded by baring her fangs in a smirk.
