Leena's POV

"Leena it's good to see you again" my father-in-law greeted as I entered the hospital room with Garrus.

I made my husband hold the small Healing Sage plant while I walked over to Castis and hugged him. I made the embrace brief but I wanted Castis to know I was glad to see him safe and sound along with Solana.

Solana was sitting in one of the lounge chairs and her broken leg was in a turian-made cast. She looked tired but otherwise, my sister-in-law seemed well.

"Whatever my brother is holding smells comforting," Solana said after I gave her a quick hug.

"It's called Healing Sage" I explained taking the plant from Garrus. "I figured you might like something that not only smelled nice but also provide a comfort"

"It's also the cure for Reaper indoctrination" Garrus explained as I placed the sage plant on a table so it could get some sun. "You should have seen Leena when she saved Saren"

I flashed my mate a glare and my in-laws chuckled.

"I ended up tackling Saren after he was cured and we both fell through some glass which hurt like a bitch"

"You really shouldn't have done that" Garrus reprimanded me.

I rolled my eyes just as Owen came in.

"Hey sis I see you're visiting the in-laws"

"Pretty much just make sure Solana's leg heals nicely"

Owen rolled his eyes before beginning to do his tasks with Solana. Castis, Garrus, and I went outside of the room so my brother could focus on his patient.

"He's a good physician," Castis said. "I can see in his eyes he cares about his patients"

"Indeed he is" Garrus agreed. "Though he lacks a female of his own"

I smacked my husband on the arm and Castis looked amused.

"First my mother wants him to find a mate and now you too? Give me a break Garrus"

"I hope to meet the rest of your family Leena" Castis spoke up getting my attention. "No doubt your parents and sister have your sense of humor"

"My mother has the humor mostly" I explained. "Dad tends to keep Mom in line when she drives her cubs crazy"

"I can second that" Garrus backed me up. He then looked at me. "Didn't you say something about Danielle getting into C-Sec?"

Oops, I forgot to mention that. My sister had been recommended by someone to try out for C-Sec and she passed her evaluation with flying colors.

My father-in-law was now interested in that revelation.

"Yeah she's in C-Sec and she's enjoying every damn minute of it and Tarquin popped the question a few days ago so the Burke Clan has another wedding to look forward to"

I wasn't surprised when my sister called me to squeal in delight that she was getting married to Tarquin. The wedding was going to be after the war which made a lot of sense. Primarch Victus was delighted to hear my sister was going to be his daughter-in-law. Tarquin would make Dani happy and I was happy for them both.

Owen came out from Solana's hospital room and he approached us.

"I got good news Solana can be discharged today but she'll need to come back to the hospital so her progress on her leg can be monitored, as well as possibly having physical therapy"

"Thank the spirits" Castis replied in relief. "She's staying with me for the time being so she'll have someone to help her"

Owen chuckled.

"She voiced that she wants to be independent as much as she can"

"That doesn't surprise me Solana was never one to rely on someone else unless absolutely necessary" my husband pointed out.

"You and her share the same stubbornness" Castis corrected.

"Yes, your right on that" Garrus confirmed with a sigh. My husband then shot me a smirk. "As does my wife"

Once again I smacked my mate on the arm and I knew I was going to pay for it later.

Rue's POV

I was done for the day with dealing with the Silver Lily toxin. In a few more days a good amount of shipments could be distributed throughout the galaxy to deal with those ugly ass machines. Collecting the toxin from the beautiful flowers was hard work and by the end of the day, I was worn out.

Saren was working on something close by and I shot my Moonheart a glance. There was something important I needed to ask the older turian and damn it I was nervous. I made sure my Moonheart wasn't looking when I snuck off into our bedroom.

I found what I was looking for before going to where my mate was.

"You leave soon don't you?" I asked the silver turian.

"I'm afraid so Little Wolf" the Spectre confirmed. "Though I don't plan on dying anytime soon, not when I have you to return to"

His words almost made me cry but I kept my emotions in check. I then slid into his lap and Saren purred when I did that. One of his hands was on my leg while the other held my body in place.

"What troubles you? You're nervous about something Little Wolf"

I snorted in amusement.

"Nothing is troubling me"

It was now or never and I pulled the box out that had been in my pocket. Saren eyed the box in confusion and I pressed a kiss against his mouth plates. He growled in displeasure when I pulled away which was always amusing to hear. I then opened the box and inside it was a white ring.

"I know males usually do this but I said screw it" I began. "I love you Saren, the spirits guided me to you, and I fought to stay by your side when my idiot father tried to take me back to Earth, my Moonheart I'm asking you if you'll be my husband"

The turian responded by giving me a mind-blowing kiss. I was still speechless when he pulled away.

"Yes I will marry you, Little Wolf"

I shed a few tears before taking the white band out and placed it onto his center prosthetic finger. Sometimes wolves gave their intended a ring before the actual wedding ceremony which was the case here. On the ring also read the inscription "Inima mea de Lună".

"The words mean My Moonheart in Romanian" I explained to Saren. "And the band is white because it represents my fur color"

I felt tears drop onto my arm and I saw Saren was crying. I put the box down and placed my hands on the older turian's face and made him look at me.

"I've been through hell and back, and I never thought I would find someone who would bring me back into the light, you are that light Rue, spirits I love you so much"

The tears he was shedding were ones of joy and not sadness. I kissed his tears away and pressed my lips against his mouth plates. And in this kiss proved how much my heart belonged to him.

Leena's POV

"Oh for spirit's sake that was a bad movie," Garrus said as we finished watching Jaws 3.

"The special effects were corny" I added.

"I'm not even sure if I can watch the last one"

"No your watching the last one babe and then you can suggest the next movie we watch"

"Hmmm, now I like that suggestion" the turian purred. "You did say there is a Tomb Raider film adaptation correct?"

"Yep but I'm better looking"

"My Nightshade you have no idea how wrong you are"

My husband had me sit up and he pressed kisses against my neck and I closed my eyes.

"You are beautiful" he corrected. "As you are feisty"

"Trying to seduce me my Archangel?"

"I think my voice already does that my love"

He was right on that one. His voice already had my panties soaked.

"You can be a pain in the ass you know"

"And you love it"
