Leena's POV

"Hey when we find Petrovsky do me a favor and make him suffer, it's because of him Cypher got hurt"

"Oh I'll do more than that" Aria reassured me as another projection of Omega appeared and Shepard joined us. "Those force fields we saw the general has them set up everywhere"

"So we need to bring the damn things down then"

The darkened areas on the projection interested Aria and one of her men explained they were sections of the Station where power was down and that power had to be involved with the force fields. Aria explained we lost a good amount of people and it was time to get allies. She mentioned the Talons were a good place to start. Bray chose that moment to interrupt and he looked guilty.

Nyreen had gotten away and that annoyed the Pirate Queen. But there was nothing we could do and after making sure we had the proper necessities we left the bunker. The coast was clear when we got outside and we followed Aria to a ladder. As we climbed up it the Salarian from before explained Cerberus was attacking the Talons. Some Cerberus shuttles flew past us from ahead.

The journey into Talon territory was so far uneventful but I was eager to find some Cerberus assholes and beat the shit out of them for hurting Cypher. Even though he hadn't been seriously hurt I was still pissed. No one hurt my buddy and got away with it.

Eventually, we found some Cerberus jerks and I didn't hold back when I shot them down. I even snuck up on one unsuspected soldier and beat him up pretty good. When the area was clear we continued in the direction of the Talon base.

The deeper we got into Talon territory the more Cerberus jackasses we met. We then found a small group of Cerberus jerks threatening a wounded Talon member. We readied our guns as the assholes pointed theirs at us.

"Back off" one of them ordered.

"I don't think so" Shepard answered.

The next thing we knew someone dropped down from the rafters above and my eyes went wide when I saw it was Nyreen. She easily overpowered the Cerberus idiots including sending some of them into the air using her biotics.

"Holy shit" was all I could say as Nyreen gave orders.

So the real leader was really Nyreen all along. Aria kept her composure as we approached the turian woman.

"My, my, Nyreen aren't you full of surprises"

"Aria the deception was necessary I needed to figure out what your plans were" Nyreen replied while scavenging weapons from a dead Cerberus soldier. "The people on Omega depend on us I couldn't risk compromising our operation"

"Not exactly standard procedures for a street gang" Shepard added.

"When Cerberus invaded the Talons were a mess I brought new direction" Nyreen explained. "The general's been hunting us ever since he's attacking one of our outposts and that's where I need to be"

Another turian came over and talked with Nyreen for a moment before leaving.

"Hold on a second before refusing to help us hear what we have to say"

Nyreen turned to me. She smirked and even though I was a married woman I blushed a little.

"You have a lot of spirit just like Cypher, very well Leena what is it you wanted to say"

"I'm sure you can agree that the general needs to go, let us help you with the outpost and then perhaps afterward you can be persuaded to help us"

"Hmm that is a generous offer"

The turian then looked to Aria.

"Aria does the Commander and Leena also speak for you?"

"Not the way I would have put it but that's the idea"

"Alright then follow me"

We took an elevator that led us to an upper level and in the next room, Nyreen announced she saw a Rampart Mech coming along with an Atlas and Cerberus troops. The Rampart Mech was a bitch to shoot down but it eventually fell along with the Atlas and the Cerberus troops. We rode another elevator and the power was cut off. We had to use a ladder to escape the elevator and Nyreen continued to lead the way.

Before we arrived at the outpost we dealt with another wave of Cerberus troops. Other Talon members exchanged hellos with Nyreen when we entered our destination.

"We'll be evacuating this location as soon as possible" Nyreen explained. "Try not to interfere with my people's work"

A fellow Talon another turian came to Nyreen and said a group of civilians made it safely to another outpost. He also mentioned something that made Nyreen uneasy. It was called an Adjuntant.

"Adjutants?"

Nyreen turned to look at Shepard.

"Creatures created by Cerberus they eviscerate their victim's DNA, converting them into more adjutants"

"Man Cerberus is one f**ked organization" I spat as Nyreen gave the Commander a datapad to look up the information about the creatures in question.

"Their some kind of Reaper-based weapon I fought them before and their a nightmare" Aria added.

"It got worse after you left Cerberus lost control of them, those things tore apart the gangs, then attacked everyone in sight"

The turian woman then walked off to make her rounds around the outpost. I asked Aria if there was a status report on Cypher and the Pirate Queen communicated with the person who was looking after my pal.

"Cypher doesn't like being kept out of a fight" the Asari informed me.

"No, he doesn't" I agreed. "He can fight more later when we're done here on Omega"

I then paused for a minute.

"If I may there's something I would like to suggest"

Aria nodded.

"I may not know the history between you and Nyreen, but I can tell she still cares about you, in all honesty, I think you and her make a good couple"

"We were once but things got in the way" the Pirate Queen responded.

"Love is worth fighting for Aria"

I chose my words carefully because I did not want to anger her.

"When the time is right think about what I'm suggesting"

I then left the Pirate Queen to gather her thoughts while mine went to Garrus. I hoped my husband wasn't worried because he had no idea I was on Omega right now. Some time passed before Aria was suddenly on the multiple screens in the outpost and the whole station could now see and hear her.

"People of Omega, I have returned!"

Voices of approval rung out throughout the outpost.

"Cerberus believes they have beaten you, they believe they have you under control, they are gravely mistaken, you are the lawless of the galaxy, you cannot be beaten and you will never be controlled, be ready! Your chance to strike out against your oppressors is coming, together we will take Omega back!"

There was a louder cheer when Aria's speech ended and the screens went black.

"One hell of a speech" I praised Aria afterward.

"The people of Omega needed to hear it" Aria replied. "I may seem cold-hearted but I give a damn about this station and the civilians who live here, even though I may not show it"

I could see the truth in her eyes.

"Then let's get back out there and get your throne back, though if I had to choose one the Iron Throne would be it"

Aria snorted in amusement at my pretend throne preference.
