Leena's POV
"This place is giving me the creeps" I confessed to Tali and Garrus as we boarded the Dreadnought.
"I thought you would say I got a bad feeling about this" Garrus joked as we rejoined Shepard.
"Nah I decided to say something else" I replied to my husband before we followed Shepard into a hallway. I already had my new weapon out and ready to use. Tali explained we were looking for an Operation Center once in there Tali could dismantle the Reaper signal.
Our group passed machinery and what not while on the way.
"Aw shit, we got company!" I yelled as I spotted some Geth.
Immediately we exchanged gunfire with our opponents and I loved the way my Locust worked. Aria had chosen my weapon with much consideration. We brought down some more Geth troops while continuing our way towards our target. Outside of the Operation Center, we dealt a good-sized wave of Geth troops.
"Leena get down!" Garrus shouted and I did as my husband asked as he shot a lethal round into a Geth Trooper who had managed to sneak up behind me.
"Thanks, babe" I thanked my mate before we found the console we needed to use in the Operation Center.
"Damn it they locked down the Reaper signal" Tali voiced in frustration. "We can't shut it down from here"
"Any suggestions?" Shepard inquired while Tali activated her Omni-Tool. Part of the Dreadnought's projection lit up in red.
"There the signal is coming from Drive Core!"
"So if we get there we shut it down?" the Commander asked.
"Possibly but getting there might be a challenge the Geth have sealed the emergency bulkheads to block us off, we need a route to the Drive Core that isn't blocked"
"What about the Main Battery? It runs right by the Drive Core" Garrus suggested.
"That could work" Tali began. "But the Geth have us locked in here we need to get these doors open"
Tali continued saying the doors could be opened if there was an emergency and Shepard suggested the Heat Diffusion System. She then decided to fake a thermal warning and that way the maintenance tubes would open for emergency venting and that would override the lockdown. As she went to work Tali warned us there were hostile Geth behind the doors so we got ready for another gunfire showdown.
The doors eventually opened and once again we let the machine beings have it with our artillery. Some Geth were even dropping down from the ceiling. Once the coast seemed clear we hauled ass in the direction of the Main Battery.
At some point, Tali received a message that Admiral Koris's ship had been hit. Due to the sounds of various machinery, I couldn't hear how many survived the attack. Raan spoke with Shepard briefly and it was obvious the Quarian Fleet were getting their asses kicked. Shepard told her the Reaper signal would be down shortly.
The Main Battery was bigger than the Normandy's and Shepard accidentally got hit by a shockwave from one of the guns the Dreadnought used. Dealing with the Geth in this area was tougher than the last few times as well as avoiding the shockwaves. But eventually, even the Geth were no match for our group.
We had been on our way towards the core but we had to make a detour when the main gun turned back on.
"F**k me that was close" I muttered.
Garrus mumbled in agreement before we had to deal with another round of Geth.
"Aw hell no your not sneaking on me again" I spat at a Geth Hunter when it tried to make a sneak attack. I killed the damn thing with a couple of rounds from my Locust.
Before arriving at the Core the Commander had been on an elevator but more Geth showed up and shot down the elevator. While Garrus and I dealt with the Geth, Tali managed to get Shepard out of harm's way.
The Core was pitch black when we entered it and at the center was a Reaper device. Shepard went to the console and worked on it for a moment and the device opened up and inside was Legion!
"Holy shit" was my response.
"Shepard Commander help us!" the friendly Geth begged. He was trapped inside the Reaper device.
"Legion"
"Shepard wait the Geth are being controlled by the Reaper signal" Tali pointed out.
"True but Legion isn't on those metal bastards' side" I corrected.
"Your caution is understandable" Legion added. "Once free we will submit to any restraints you deem necessary"
If Legion was freed the Reaper signal would be shut off but of course, it wasn't that simple. Legion told us where to go and we took an elevator to the upper level. We found the console and Shepard got the Reaper signal off. While Tali told the Fleet the signal was about to get offline Legion's restraints loosened and soon he was free.
"As a gesture of cooperation we have disabled the Dreadnought's Drive Core all weapons and barriers are offline" Legion informed us from below.
"We got company!" I shouted as Geth reinforcements arrived.
Our group was in another gunfire battle and I was getting tired of dealing with the hostile Geth. On the bright side, I did enjoy using my Locust. Over the commlink, Raan was talking with Gerrel. The idiot wanted to open fire on the Dreadnought while we were inside it!
"If I see Gerrel again I'm gonna kick his ass!" I roared while firing some lethal rounds into some Geth firing at us.
"Please do!" Garrus agreed.
At some point Gerrel ordered the Fleet to fire and Legion informed us from below we needed to evacuate. Since Geth didn't have escape pods we would need to use something else. Our group hauled ass as the Dreadnought began to become unstable from the Fleet firing into it.
"Shepard to Fleet! Hold fire! I repeat hold fire!"
"They're not responding it!"
"Damn it!"
"I'm definitely going to give Gerrel a piece of my mind when I get off this damn ship!" I roared. Shepard then lost his footing as the structure became unstable and he fell to the lower level.
"Quarian Bastards!" Garrus shouted.
We regrouped with the Commander just as the Fleet fired more rounds into the Dreadnought and the gravity loosened up but we managed to find Legion and haul ass into the Geth vessel. Legion took control of the vessel and drove out of the Dreadnought just as it was being destroyed.
Back on the Normandy
Still Leena's POV
"I once respected you Gerrel but now that you almost got us killed I've changed my mind" I spat at the Quarian male and I kneed him where the sun didn't shine. I then stormed off to my quarters so I could cool off.
As I took my armor off Garrus entered the room.
"I saw you what you did with Gerrel he deserved it," my husband said.
"Damn straight he deserved it" I agreed as I got the remaining armor off.
I then went over to the bed and sat down on it. Garrus decided to sit down beside me.
"You know I do like it when your angry" he teased.
This got me to snort and look at the turian.
"I'm not sure if I buy that babe"
"Well it's the truth, my love"
My Archangel then stood up and undid his armor before rejoining me on the bed. Then Garrus had me lay on my stomach and he massaged my back to get rid of any kinks and knots.
"Watch the talons handsome the last time you massaged me, I got a few marks"
"I like seeing my claw marks on your skin my Leena" my husband purred. "It lets others know you are mine"
The turian then gave my neck a gentle nip with his teeth before he resumed massaging my back.
