Leena's POV
"Holy shit this is some lab," I said as I followed Shepard, Ann, and Saren into Garret Bryson's domain. Also, sorts of different data and artifacts surrounded the place. Garrus was back on the Normandy dealing with his usual calibrations and Cypher chose to remain with Liara. Frankly hearing the Leviathan's voice gave him a headache.
Noire was perched on my shoulder and her stitches were out of her wing membrane.
"Noire was the one who saved your father's life" Saren informed Ann. "She pushed aside your father's colleague before Dr. Garret could be injured"
Ann approached me and held a hand out to the black dragoness. Noire placed her small snout into the scientist's palm and hummed in pleasure as Ann gave her side fins and the back of her head affectionate attention.
"Thank you," the human woman told Noire.
"No one shouldn't lose a parent when the time isn't right" Noire answered. "Your sire is a kind man I sensed it when I saw him"
"You overdid it with body slamming his colleague though" Saren added at his bonded partner in a disapproving tone.
"And you're being overprotective" the Metal Dragon countered and she gave the older turian a fanged smirk and I chuckled.
Ann then went to work and we hung back watching her in case she had another episode of the Leviathan taking over again. The artifact was now behind a shield so the chances of indoctrination wouldn't happen.
"I have an idea but I'm sure you guys won't like it," Ann said getting our attention. We joined her in the room where the artifact was. "But if the artifact controls someone, you might be able to get the Leviathan's location, if I voluntarily let it control me then finding this thing will be possible"
Saren and Noire weren't fond of the idea but Shepard and I thought it was our only chance. Shit, I didn't want to see Ann under the Leviathan's control again but since she was willing to do this I supported her choice.
"I'll have to hold you down I'm sorry" Saren apologized as Ann took a seat in front of him.
"No it's fine" Ann reassured the turian Spectre.
I decided I would try and locate the signal so I headed to the console in front of the galaxy map. Saren placed a firm grip on Ann's shoulders while Shepard deactivated the containment shield. After the shield disappeared nothing happened at first but then Leviathan began to channel itself through Ann.
I got a signal and began the tracking process.
"Turn back" Leviathan spoke out. "The darkness cannot be breached"
"Keep going!" I encouraged not looking up from the galaxy map.
Shepard's POV
"Listen to me!" I alerted Leviathan. "I found you and the Reapers are right behind me"
"You have brought them, you are a threat" Leviathan continued.
"So are you" I responded. "I've seen what you can do, the war needs you"
"There is no war, there is only the harvest"
"I got a partial lock Commander keep the connection with that thing!" Leena yelled as she worked.
Ann's movements were beginning to strengthen and it would only be a matter of time until Saren couldn't hold on anymore.
"We can fight then! We can win this!"
"The cycle cannot be broken"
"That's where you're wrong" I corrected Leviathan.
I then activated the shield again and Saren released Ann from his grasp.
"Ann are you alright?" I inquired the scientist.
"I think so" was her reply. "My head hurts though"
"You did well" Saren praised.
Leena's POV
"I got something promising, though it will take time to search for the location, I'm sending the coordinates to the Normandy now" I notified the Commander.
"Good work Leena" Shepard praised.
I flashed the human male a smirk before pulling away from the galaxy map. Since the coordinates would take some time Shepard gave the crew shore leave.
"Any specific plans?" Saren asked as he and I exited Dr. Bryson's lab.
"Not really" I answered. "We don't get much downtime since the entire galaxy is at war"
"True" the older turian agreed.
Saren's POV
"Oh, spirits" I muttered when I finally saw Rue coming my way. Since everyone was on shore leave Rue and I decided to go ahead and get married in private. When the war was over we would host a proper celebration with our friends. My Little Wolf wore a silver dress and her hair was pinned back in a bun with a Silver Lily in it.
Her bouquet also consisted of the same flower and my beautiful bride looked perfect. I simply wore my usual armor and now felt stupid for not wearing something else.
"You look nervous my Moonheart" my sweet one teased.
"I am Little Wolf" I confessed. "But you look beautiful"
Rue then kissed my prosthetic hand before she and I went inside the courthouse. We met up with our officiant in one of the outdoor courtyards. Just like with Leena and Garrus's wedding ceremony the usual dialogue was spoken. I didn't hesitate when I was asked if I took Rue to be my wife and she did the same when she was asked if she took me to be her husband. Afterward, I placed Rue's wedding band onto her ring finger. Its band was silver like her engagement ring. I chose to have the band be made simple instead of anything more exotic.
Instead of the usual vows, the officiant had us intertwine our hands and then a cloth representing our love was tied around them. Together we spoke out loud.
"Father, smith, warrior, mother, maiden, crow, stranger"
"I am hers, and she is mine from this day until the end of my days"
"I am his, and he is mine from this day until the end of my days"
We were then named husband and wife and I leaned down until my forehead touched with Rue's. Both of us shed tears in happiness and we remained in our current position for who knows how long. Afterward, we returned to the apartment and consummated our marriage, and let's just say by the time our lovemaking was over I was a blushing mess.
So Rue's wedding dress is the same design as Daenerys's when she marries Khal Drogo. Also the dialogue is from when Rhaegar and Lyanna get married. So the original dialogue belongs to George R. R. Martin and the Game of Thrones creators and writers.
