Leena's POV

I paid my cab driver before stepping out of the sky car. I received an invite earlier from Joker to meet up with him and Shepard at this expensive sushi place. Rue and Saren had mentioned it a while back and getting reservations could be a bitch. Garrus was visiting his family so dinner sounded nice. I wore the blue dress that I chose to meet Castis and Solana in. On my feet, I wore back heels and as I made my way to the restaurant I got several wolf whistles. I also had my hair down for this occasion.

On my left hand, I proudly wore my engagement and wedding rings. There was a long line outside of the restaurant but the French-speaking host signaled me to follow him. I shot the people waiting in line apologetic looks as I was guided inside the food establishment. Joker waved me over and soon I was sitting beside him.

"Damn Leena you look nice without all of your Tomb Raider stuff on" the pilot greeted me.

"Your sweet it's rare I dress up for occasions such as this" I replied before telling a waitress my drink order. A few minutes passed before my drink arrived and I took a few sips of it. Joker and I shot the breeze for a while until the Commander arrived.

"Hey, Shepard not bad huh? This sushi place is serious like the French guy at the door serious, you only had to save the galaxy twice I mean did you see the line outside?"

"I did" Shepard answered as he sat down. The human male said I looked nice and I shot him a smirk.

"But here we are with drinks in hand, the best pilot in the universe, the Sci-fi Lara Croft, and the rock star Commander"

"I'll cheer to that"

Joker and I clinked our glasses together before we downed another gulp. Our waitress returned with a drink for Shepard after taking a sip he asked if there was any news about the Normandy.

"Well you know typical maintenance stuff, it's hard to know when a bunch of strangers are poking around our ship"

"The best thing we can do right now is let her stay where she's docked and let the techs do their work"

"Yeah you're right at least we can enjoy our shore leave it's been a while since we last relaxed"

"True I need to make sure to see my family while I'm here, Garrus is with his right now"

We all took another gulp of our drinks before Joker mentioned the email Shepard sent. The Commander had no clue what the pilot was talking about. And Joker was just as confused.

"Commander!" a woman called out getting our attention.

The woman in question hurried over to our table completely out of breath and she wore the Alliance uniform. She introduced herself as Staff Analyst Maia Brooks from Alliance Intelligence.

"I don't want to cause alarm but there are people trying to kill you"

Joker, Shepard, and I all looked at one another as though this news wasn't surprising. We were in a damn war after all.

"Yeah, I think he's aware of that" Joker told Brooks.

"No I don't mean Cerberus and the Reapers I mean other people, new people, someone is hacking your account, comm channels, personal records they're targeting you specifically"

"Big mistake," Shepard said looking angry. He then asked Brooks what she knew. But before Brooks could answer a group of armed men entered the restaurant.

"Are you f**king kidding me?! One night I would like to relax and more assholes show up?!" I roared before pulling my guns out from the holsters that were under my dress. I then took cover alongside Shepard, Joker, and Brooks. One of the armed jerks found Brooks and dragged her away.

"Find the crew, Leena and I are going after Brooks"

"Find the crew got it"

The pilot began to sneak away while Shepard got his own weapon out. The Commander nodded behind me letting me know one of the armed guys was behind our overturned table. I gave Shepard one of my guns to hold.

"Hey!"

Joker had been spotted but I surprised the merc and using my free hand I punched his lights out before regaining my gun back from Shepard.

"You used me as bait?!" Joker exclaimed.

"Go!"

"You used me as bait! Did you see that? The savior of the Citadel and the Sci-fi Tomb Raider use brittle-bones guy as bait!"

Shepard and I then went into action shooting down the armed assholes. During the exchange of gunfire, Shepard told Brooks to stay down and she obeyed. One of the mercs said I looked hot and I shut him up by kneeing him hard where the sun didn't shine.

Once things looked clear we met up with Brooks and Shepard helped the analyst to her feet. But another armed idiot showed up and his red laser marker was directly on Shepard. Brooks pushed both me and the Commander away from her just as she got shot. Then gunfire was shot around me and Shepard and the glass beneath us began to crack.

"Oh sh!"

But I never got to finish swearing because the glass broke beneath us and we went through a f**king fish tank!

The Commander and I managed to grab hold of a structure just as Cypher arrived in his larger form. He grabbed me and Shepard in his claws and flew us to a lower level.

"Nice timing buddy" I praised the Metal Dragon after he set me and Shepard onto our feet.

"You two seriously fell through a fish tank? That sucks"

Cy then reverted to his smaller form and he flew to my shoulder.

Brooks pulled up a supposedly secure commlink but it was possible it could be hacked too. The Commander asked how she was and the analyst said she used medi-gel for her gunshot wound and from the way she spoke she used a lot.

After telling Brooks to alert C-Sec, Shepard and I begin to find a way to get the hell out of our current situation. Shepard spotted a sky car lot and that looked to be our best bet to escape. Getting a shuttle to the landing pad was going to be tricky due to C-Sec having the entire area on lockdown. While making our way to the sky car lot we found more mercs.

I shot Cy a look and the Metal Dragon gave me a fanged smirk before activating his illusion gift and he took flight. The mercs began to swear and yell as Cypher burned them alive with his dragon fire while the Commander and I continued on our way.

"Leena, love can you hear me? Are you and Shepard okay?"

I smiled at hearing my husband's voice.

"We're fine babe but we might need some backup soon"

"Lucky for you Archangel is your husband, Joker filled me in and I'm on foot so I'll be there as fast as I can"

"Love you too handsome see you soon"

Brooks and Garrus exchanged words over the commlink while Shepard and I shot down some more mercs and Cy burned some others before we found a way to get across to the sky car lot but of course, due to the lockdown, we weren't going anywhere at the moment.

Well not until Shepard overrode a locked door and more mercs caught up with us. While the assholes were shot down Cy chose to land on Shepard's shoulder. By the time we arrived at the sky car lot, Garrus shot the mercs down.

"So having a day?" Garrus asked while walking over to us in a swag manner.

"You could say that" Shepard answered.

"Landing pad is just over there but it's behind a locked gate" my husband explained gesturing behind him.

"Then let's find a control panel"

"Looking sexy my love" my Archangel purred eying my dress.

I flashed the turian a smirk before giving him a quick kiss.

"Word is you two fell through a fish tank"

"We'll talk about it later," Shepard said.

"Damn shame great food there"

"Garrus we'll talk about it later" I repeated to my beloved in a warning tone.

Cy snickered as we found a control panel but it wouldn't open. Shepard was about to use his weapon when Garrus stopped him. My husband then knocked on the glass window.

"Hi, there could you open this up?"

The volus behind the glass did as the turian asked.

"Much appreciate it"

The volus asked us to leave and Garrus shot me and Shepard another look of confidence.

"Damn it babe your such a smooth talker"

"Damn straight" he agreed before we headed toward the landing pad.
