"Are you absolutely sure about this?" Hammond questioned Kawalsky. The SG-1 sobered in their jovial behavior, only small smiles remaining. All eyes on the man from an alternate reality.

The officer scowled before spitting bitterly. "A girl, looking exactly like… Barbara… was standing to the right of Apophis. She was the one that ordered Jack's death."

A sob interrupted him, and the man gave a side hug to Samantha, the widow of his best friend. "The Jaffa, who looked exactly like him," Kawalsky waved at Teal'c's direction. "except for a small beard executed him. He then sawed-off Jack's head, before proudly presenting it to the girl. She hugged it as if it was a teddy bear."

Barbara softly wiggled out of Teal'c's hold before walking towards the alternates.

"I am deeply sorry for the actions of the alternate me," the girl bowed, bending at almost 90 degrees to the pair. "I understand that my words might mean nothing to you, but I will help as much as you will let me."

Samantha glanced at Daniel Jackson who quickly obliged and translated for the pair. Kawalsky looked at Samantha before letting his hand fall. The blonde walked towards the girl before gently brushing a hand on the girl's cheek. Barbara tried to step away from Samantha, but the doctor was quicker. She gently cupped the girl's face before gazing right into her eyes.

"Thank you."

A tear slowly slid down Barbara's cheek.

"Barbara, last time you went and interfered in Goa'uld dealings you were almost killed."

No one on SG-1 wanted to take the girl to the alternate dimension. Carter would have been more useful than Barbara, but the officer couldn't go as otherwise she would suffer from the cascade failure her alternate suffered here.

"I might help with alternate Barbara?" Barbara pressed a button on her device, which dutifully replayed the stored phrase.

"No. You are not coming."

"I definitely won't suffer from the cascade!"

"No, means no," cut off O'Neill the girl. He grabbed Barbara by the shoulders. "You are a civilian girl, who has never been trained in the military. You are currently taking pills to help your anxiety and you just woke up from whatever it was with NID's people."

"The alternate Barbara might know about a way to wake up," Barbara pressed another button on her device. O'Neill sighed, before tugging the girl close and hugging her tightly.

"Oh, I know, Barbara," the colonel slowly rocked as the girl silently cried. "It's okay. We will find a way for you to go home."

The SG-1 with the addition of alternative Carter and Kawalsky left quickly and without much fanfare. Barbara knew how the events would go. The Mirror was soon quickly shut off as it had happened in the series. To avoid detection by the patrolling Jaffa. But man, did it suck to be stuck on this side of the mirror.

Time was slowly passing for Barbara. She was staying by the mirror, behind the barricade that the soldiers had built just in case when the Mirror activated again. Instead of the triumphant SG-1, there was standing a girl.

And her face was adorned by the triumphant crooked smile.

Barbara felt shivers go up her spine.

...

...

When she woke up, she was surprised to find herself lying on the sand in a huge dark hall. Voices of many surrounded her, speaking languages she couldn't even begin to decipher, all of them merging into one huge noise. Some woman started helping her to get up from her prone position, her movements quickened by the arrival of Jaffa.

Jaffa?

At this point, she made a conscious attempt to focus on what was going on. It has been some time since she dreamed of the Jaffa, last time being a dream when the SGC organized some child soldier program, and she was one of such soldiers who were lucky enough to join SG-1. She still could remember parts of the dream. But this was no dream.

The Jaffa forced everybody on the knees as she was hit with a sense of deja vu: it was the scene from the SG-1 pilot episode. Somewhere here were supposed to be SG-1, who were going to be leading an escape attempt any moment. Here was going O'Neill who was going to request help from Teal'c.

It didn't happen.

Nothing of this had happened. No Daniel trying to reach Sha're and being held back by Samantha and Jack. No Jack asking for help to save the people.

Nothing.

A pair of men in turbans come up to her and she felt herself raised to be inspected by the Goa'uld pair. A hand reached out. She felt her face being turned to the right and then to the left before the pair of men quickly carried her off. She tried to struggle, but the men were stronger. She felt nauseous.

She should wake up.

She was brought to a brightly colored room and gently laid on a slab of stone, feeling woozy. She should wake up. Really. She didn't like where it was all going to.

A Goa'uld snake was brought out. She looked at it uncomprehendingly. It screeched. The noise ringing in her ears but her body felt heavy. She couldn't cover her ears.

The next thing she knew was pain.

And then it was as if she was floating in the sea.

She was not in control.

She was Wadjet. The Daughter of Apophis.

Wadjet told her Father of the Earth. She told him of the possible defenses they might have. She told him of their history.

He wanted it. He wanted Earth.

She wanted the Earth for herself.

She forced the Jaffa to search for her host's device. 'Phone' she called it. They never found all the pieces and the host didn't know how to fix it. It didn't matter. She could access the memories her host had had. Even the ones that could have forgotten.

She told him of the possible future. Wadjet explained how her host was Valuable. How she knew of a possible future, which they could playoff. Her Father just smiled at her and sent her back to play.

What is with this sexism.

It took her time but soon enough her Father caved. He had promised her the planet.

It will be Hers.

Teal'c was her Father's Prime. She ordered him to kill immediately a person called Jack O'Neill. He did so and even brought her his head as confirmation.

Maybe she will keep him after she would overthrow her Father from her throne.

After all, she would need some males for the kingdom to prosper.
