Narcissa appeared in a dark room. She pulled out her wand and cast a lumos maxima spell which lit up her entire surroundings, showing that she was in a room with no windows or doors and Hermione was not with her, either. Upon closer inspection, she noticed that there was a statue of a woman against one of the walls. She cautiously stepped closer to it, making sure not to step on anything that looked like it might set off a boobytrap.
As she came closer, she noticed that the statue depicted a woman with long hair, a flowing gown with a cloak around her shoulders, a small crown that sat on her head, a large ring sat on her pointer finger, and a large sword held in both hands. The blade was in front of her face while the hilt was in front of her chest. "Many have stood before me, but none were omegas. This should be interesting," an airy feminine voice spoke out from nowhere. "Tell me, child, what do you seek? Power? Knowledge? Wealth? Choose wisely because your answer will cost you something in exchange," the voice said in a neutral tone.
Narcissa thought about her answer before speaking. "I choose knowledge."
"What is your reason for this answer?"
"Because when used correctly, knowledge comes with power and wealth," Narcissa said with confidence.
A cloaked figure appeared before Narcissa in front of the statue. "Well done, child. Not many chose as wisely as you. I will answer your questions if it is within my power to know the answers. I cannot tell you what goes on or what lies beyond this place, for it is not within my sight to know."
Narcissa thought about what she wanted to know from the figure. "Can you tell me what this place is?" Narcissa asked.
"This plane was designed to be a holding place for relics of powerful wizards and witches from a time when it was necessary to have such relics. This is a place that will test those who enter to see if they are worthy of the power that we possess."
Narcissa's face showed no signs of emotion, but internally, she began to worry as to what she and Hermione had gotten themselves into. She kept her breathing under control as she asked her next question. "Is there any way for me to know if Hermione is alright? I want to know if she is safe."
The cloaked figure took a moment before answering. "From what little I can tell, she is safe. She is locked in another portion of the grid with another figure similar to myself."
Narcissa let out the breath that she was holding in relief. "Whose powerful relics are these, and how many are there?"
The cloaked figure paused for a moment before answering again. "There are three relics. One belonged to Merlin, one to Morgana le Fay, and one to Nimue, lady of the lake."
Narcissa couldn't hold back her shock at the information, but recovered quickly. "What if Hermione and I don't want the relics of power and wish to leave? Can't they stay safe here, where no one who isn't worthy of them can get to them?"
The figure chuckled softly in amusement. "By that logic alone, you are more than worthy to possess the relics. Though, that is not the question you should be asking of me now, is it?"
Narcissa looked at the figure in confusion. "Alright then, to what purpose are the relics necessary, and why should we take them?"
At this question, the figure removed her cloak, revealing an attractive woman with long, light brown hair and blue eyes, with lean muscle that looked like she could easily lift and pin Narcissa to a wall. She looked exactly like the statue. Her eyes flashed in excitement as she smiled.
"Now we're getting to the real reason why we're here! In my time, there was a man named Mordred who had called upon The Demon Overlord to make a deal. He wanted the power of the beast to conquer King Arthur. In exchange, though, The Demon Overlord needed a consenting mate that could be claimed and bedded so that more minor demons could be made. It came about that he had promised Queen Guinevere as the Demon's prize. We were confronted by three different harbingers of chaos that symbolized their coming. We were caught off guard in our time as to what we were dealing with, or when they would strike. It came to pass that we were overrun by these creatures of chaos and were unable to save the poor Queen. Sadly, our endeavors were in vain and we were unable to defeat Mordred in the end. King Arthur, who never recovered from the loss of his Queen, was slain in the final battle," the woman spoke with a sad look in her eyes.
"I've never read anything about this in any book on the subject. Judging by what has happened over the years, I can see why it wouldn't be written anywhere, so that no one else would try to do the same," Narcissa said with a sigh.
"We did have the same thought, though there are little telling's through some works that would only be recognized for what it is when the information is needed," Nimue said.
"Well, that helps tremendously. How would I find it? Also, what do Alpha and Omega Primes have to do with all of this?" Narcissa asked.
