Hello everyone, it's good to be back. Look I know I said I'd update stuff more and I haven't been able to do that, and I apologize. I don't really like to talk about my job much because frankly, it's easier not to. But, after all this time and broken promises I figured it couldn't hurt. I'm in the military (Air Force, and yes, I am a nerd) and my dwell to deploy ratio is only 1:1 instead of the normal 1:2. Basically, for most, if you deploy for 6 months you can't deploy for another year, but my job isn't like that. My deployments only last 2 months normally, but I'm only ineligible to deploy for 2 months after. So, I've been deployed like 6 months out of the year for the past like 4 years. I got hit with a short notice one shortly after I decided to redo this story. When I posted the rewrite for chapter 1, I didn't even know I was going on the road. The good news is I'm getting out in another year, and I've recently come into a medical issue that puts me ineligible to deploy for a while. The short version is my knees are ruined. Enough about that though, I wanted to clear some stuff up about the last chapter now that I'm home and give you guys the update you deserve.

Ruby is adopted, I said that in the first few paragraphs of the last chapter but didn't really go into it. Team STRQ still happened and all that, but Summer never got with Tai. A lot of times when older Ruby stuff pops up, they just change the order that Yang and Ruby were born or that Tai got with Summer first instead of Raven, but I figured the age gap was a little much for that. Ruby is 25 in this, so she's got 7 years almost 8 on Yang. I mulled around the idea of just making Qrow Ruby's dad, but that's so cliché, isn't it? Truth be told, I don't have a biological father set for Ruby and unless I come up with something really good to put in the story, I won't be talking about it much.

Ruby knows about Salem and her eyes. She actively has been doing missions for that sake since she graduated Beacon.

I'm gauging Beacon as a 4-year enrollment like most college students go through. Yang's birthday after a quick google search is July 28th and if you go by normal class schedules, they likely enrolled in the fall, so Yang just turned 17, and Ruby is about to turn 26. For anyone who didn't know and cares at all, Blakes Birthday is January 19th and Wiess is May 15th. This part wasn't really a question by anyone, but I never see anyone explaining this, so I felt like including it.

Lastly, I didn't get much feedback on the music bit, so I'm guessing a lot of people didn't bother with it. Which is fine. I'm still going to include it. It's more as a test of my writing ability and trying to maintain a certain ambiance. It's not like I want the story to flow like the song, but more like I'm picking a certain song as a kind of opening for the chapter. Yeah, look at the song and album as kind of a theme song for the chapter and arc. That's all.

Shout out to my new Beta Reader Nordik. Long story short I promised to hand over the last chapter for editing right before I was told I was deploying and never did. She'll be looking over chapter 1 and this chapter and editing out bad sentence structure and incorrect grammar as well as giving some ideas for basically everything. She had an idea for the WBY team name that was way better than mine so expect the reupload to come out with this chapter as well. So, everyone give her a big thank you for making the story better, and feel free to shoot me ideas you have for future plots, character, clean up etc. etc. through PMs or Reviews.

That's all I really wanted to touch on. Thank you to everyone who left a review and once again, I apologize for taking so long. I'm trying to be better about that, and I promise you'll see a genuine effort this time bar extenuating circumstances which, hopefully, won't happen.

Jesus that's a long AN, I don't even like monologuing. Onto the show!

Chapter 2 – Redamancy in Ingress

"Wha- wha- wha-" A hard flick to the forehead stopped Yang short of her bemusement. She winced holding her head, wondering how a flick could feel heavier than most punches.

"I would've thought six years would have been enough time for that freezing up problem to go away. We'll be working on that when I have time I guess." The Crimson Reaper herself stood in front of her younger sister, the corners of her lips twitching ever so slightly at the corners. She was clearly trying, in a vain attempt, to hide her amusement at the bewildered expression on her little sister's face.

Yang was having an internal meltdown, her mind furiously trying to catch up and comprehend the reality before her. Her inner monologue screaming at her about the impossibility of the current situation.

"No way this is real. Absolutely no way she's here. She was on the other side of Remnant the last time we talked. That dream the other night has to be it, yeah, my mind is playing tricks on me. I miss my sister, so now I'm hallucinating her. Did Nora put something in my drink last night? No, it would've worn off by now. That's it! The shower water, she must have slipped something into Beacon's water supply. That clever bitch I'll give her a high five after I beat the ever loving shi-"

A sudden warmth touched Yang's cheek, bringing her head back to reality. She looked at Ruby, the older sister she had missed so much for so long. The woman that Yang had always looked up to and tried her damn best to follow.

Ruby's silver eyes held that same compassion from all those years ago as Yang stared into the eyes of her famous sibling. She felt the love and warmth that seemed to radiate off the red woman in waves that even her fire semblance couldn't match.

Ruby's arm was outstretched a single hand resting on her sister cheek as if reading her mind saying "You can feel this. I'm real. I'm here." Yang felt the dam behind her eyes about ready to burst. Years of short phone calls and small conversations had created what felt like a chasm of distance between them, but this... Ruby was here. With this woman who was unmistakably her sister standing right in front of Yang, the distance didn't quite feel so big anymore. Just like it used to be.

"Ruby."

"You don't have to say anything, I'm here. I'm sorry, I never wanted to leave you alone." Like a ghost Ruby glided forward enveloping the blonde in the first hug she'd been able to give in six long years, and the dam burst.

For what felt like the longest moment of her life, Yang cried as she rested her head in the crook of her sister's neck. They were finally together again, face to face after all this time. Ruby was in a similar state, happy and relieved to be able to look at the sibling she loved after being apart for so long.

"C'mon Fire Fart, let me get a good look at you." she said, pulling her younger sibling off her.

"I made sure to work out and eat right," she wiped her eyes "just like you always told me."

The little girl that Ruby remembered had clearly grown up well. The little squirt that barely came up to her chest level was now looking only slightly up at her. Gone was the energetic child that would always ask to go on semblance powered shoulder rides, replaced with a young woman clearly working hard to become the person she wanted to be. A beautiful woman who could put more force behind a punch than most car crashes could generate. Bombshell blonde indeed.

"Geez kid, you must be beating the boys off with a stick!" Ruby snickered as she spoke, trying to lighten the mood.

"Who needs a stick when I've got these two guns?" Yang held up her arms, flexing, and posing like some bodybuilder.

"Oh gods," Ruby groaned, "Dad infected you with his puns, didn't he?"

"When you got it, you got it." Yang quipped with a smirk.

They both laughed from the bottom of their hearts. Enjoying the presence of each other, that they had missed for so long. They were content for the moment, catching up after missing so much of each other's lives.

"Rubes, what are you doing here?" The curiosity eating Yang up as she finally got her laughter under control.

"What, not happy to see me? I can leave you know." That damn teasing smirk hadn't changed much either.

"No no no, just, I thought you were busy. Last time we talked, weren't you like half of Remnant away?"

"Well, we all need a vacation some time, and I've been missing you and Dad a bunch. So, after some not so subtle asking, Ozpin made me a deal that if I teach some classes I can take some time off. He said Port could use the time off too."

"No way, you're gonna be our grimm studies teacher?! For how long?!" Yang exclaimed, clearly not expecting that answer.

"As long as I want to be in Ozpin's own words. Why, don't want me meeting your teammates?" Ruby put her hands on her hips, leaning forward with an accusatory glint in her eyes.

"Wait, didn't you already meet them, how did you get in here without running in to them?"

"Nope, you were in the bathroom when I got here, nobody else in the room."

"Oh, Weiss was already up, and Blake had just gotten out of the shower. They probably went to breakfast expecting me to catch up with them."

"Blake and Weiss hmm? Weiss Schnee?" She received a nod at her inquiry. "Well, I bet that's a ton of fun. Who's your fourth member?"

"Yeah, about that." Yang rubbed the back of her head.

"So, there I was, hatch open in the middle of the night, and I was about to start just dumping everything in when this guy," she pointed to Jaune, "comes around the corner with a flashlight screaming something about going to jail."

"Nora I wasn't going to let you potentially poison the dorms. How'd you even find the water supply?" The man in question refuted.

"The pancakes speak to me about many things." Nora said with a serious look.

The table was silent.

"Ren, how do you deal with this?" Jaune asked.

"Years of practice. Years and years of practice."

"Thank you for your service." Blake added, sitting across from the whole of team JNPR.

Under no circumstance could Blake Belladonna be considered a morning person. By pure happenstance she had woken up early and unable to return to her blissful slumber decided to shower before she and Weiss got breakfast. This was the first weekend she got up in time to eat with Weiss and team JNPR.

"I'm glad Yang slept in. Don't know if I could deal with her and Nora this early in the morning." Blake told the monochromatic teammate next to her.

"Yes, well now you know why I don't wake her up." Weiss replied.

"Is that why you don't wake me up?" The cat Faunus asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Of course not, I know you appreciate your sleep. I'm surprised you were up this morning, but pleasantly surprised." She flashed a genuine smile as she spoke.

Thankfully that genuine smile was becoming more and more common on Weiss's face. Who knew all the young heiress needed was time away from the monster she called a father to bloom into her own person. Still a little uptight and strict, but infinitely kinder and more compassionate than the rest of her bloodline, which was the best way Blake could describe Weiss. The moment it was decided that the secret Faunus would share a room with the Heiress of what was uncontestably the most racist and hateful business on Remnant did not sit well with Blake at first, but now the raven-haired beauty couldn't picture sharing a room with anyone else. That thought brought a grateful smile to the young woman's face.

Everyone's plates were clean at this point, but neither team had anything planned for the day. Somehow the monochrome duo and team JNPR came to the same unspoken conclusion that today would just be a slow day. Idle chit chat and jokes traded back and forth until the cafeteria had all but cleared out, both teams just enjoying the breather from studying, and in the SBL case, enjoying the breather from crime fighting. How they didn't get in trouble for that was still a complete mystery.

Nearing ten-thirty now, the only one missing was the resident self-proclaimed Dragon.

"Morning guys." The dragon in question walked up to the table, offering her greeting to her teammates and friends before sitting down next to her team.

"It's about time. You sure took a while." Weiss chided with no real bite.

"What can I say, some stuff happened this morning." Yang explained with a shrug of her shoulders.

"Everything alright?" Blake asked with some concern, noticing the red around her teammate's eyes.

"Yeah, better than alright... My sister decided to stop by. She'll be joining us in a little bit."

"I wasn't aware you had any siblings Yang." Pyrrha Nikos the champion of mistral interjected.

"Ah, it's not for any bad reason or anything. I just don't want people to compare me to her until I can beat her myself. I'll kick her butt later today."

"She must be strong; you don't even talk about competing with Pyrrha like that." Weiss stated with a raised eyebrow.

"Yeah she is, I don't think even Pyrrha could put up much of a fight. No offense Pyr." Yang held a hand up in mock apology.

When no response came from the opposite side of the table the SBL trio looked at their companion team, only to see three of the four of them looking shocked speechless. Nora was trembling with what looked to be an intense need to go to the bathroom, gods only know what was going through her head. Ren had a wide eye expression, which was saying something considering his usually stoic disposition. Pyrrha uncharacteristically had her mouth open, looking like she was desperately trying not to fumble her next words. Jaune looked completely lost. The only thing they had in common was that their expressions were aimed at something just behind Yang.

Weiss following their sibling teams gaze turned to look behind Yang only to freeze like the woman's icy attitude had decided to overtake her outward expression. Blake like everyone else had turned to look behind Yang, and much like Weiss had frozen on the spot, the only difference was the noticeable dusting of red that painted her cheeks.

Looking around Yang noticed all her companions faces. At first confusion was the obvious response. "You guys all right? Something on my face?" she asked.

Simultaneously all eyes shot to Yang before darting to the newcomer. Just before the blonde brawler could turn around two hands gripped her skull forcefully. Immediately sweat poured down Yang's head as she came to a sudden and terrifying realization.

"What was that you little shit? Kick who's butt? Surely you couldn't be talking about little old me? I know you're younger, but I didn't think you were born yesterday." Her voice was even and sweet, like honey pouring from her lips, but death resting on her face.

Yang got enough wiggle room to look slightly upward, but as soon as she did, gods, she wished she hadn't. Just behind her and gripping her skull was her older sister, Ruby's eyes closed and a light smile on her lips, but Yang knew better.

There were very few things that horrified the blonde, Professor Goodwitch catching her in a prank, Bumblebee getting a scratch or worse someone stealing her, but those were nothing compared to what she was looking at right now. Yang knew that expression, it was the same one she gave to that poor boy from Atlas when Ruby last competed in the Vytal festival. He had told her that it would only be a fight because he'd have to aim so low to match Ruby's height. The hospital had labeled his injury and the cause of the injury as the same thing 'Head too far up own ass'. This look promised pain.

"Dear sister, I know Dad taught you to be whole in body, but I don't remember him ever teaching you to be dumb of ass too." Ruby's eyes opened only to reflect a giddy excitement at dolling out a disproportionate amount of punishment for a minor offense. Oh, the perks of being an older sibling. With that thought she squeezed.

"Ahhhh uncle uncle! I'm so sorry, super awesome and strong sweet sister! Please have mercy!" Yang begged.

"Sorry, don't have any mercy, just a dumbass little sibling to teach a few lessons to."

"Noo-" She passed out.

Ruby gently placed her sister's head on the table before she wiped her hands together like she had just finished washing her hands and sat down next to her now unmoving sister. Meanwhile Jaune's expression had changed from quizzical to downright terror.

After that exchange Weiss found her voice "You're Ru-

"You're Ruby Rose!" Nora interrupted slamming her hands on the table and standing up.

"Uh... Last I checked. Hello." The Reaper gave a friendly wave.

"So, Yang is your uh, little sister?" asked Pyrrha.

"Yup, been that way since she was born."

"Excuse me if this is rude, but why isn't her last name Rose?" asked Ren, regaining his composure.

"Oh, not at all. I'm adopted. My mother passed away when I was young, and Yang's Mom and Dad took me in, they were all on a team together. Don't remember my own father so Papa Tai, Yang's Dad, is the only one I've ever known."

"I see, I apologize for prying."

"No worries, I'm twenty-five so this isn't the first time I've had to explain it, no big deal." Ruby flashed a genuine smile to the boy showing that he had indeed not crossed any lines or said anything to upset the veteran huntress. Ren breathed a sigh of relief, not wanting to get on the wrong side of the woman who had just essentially crushed the skull of the most physically capable person among the seven of them as easily as she breathed.

"How did you do that?" asked Nora lunging across the table, invading the personal space of the famous young huntress.

"Enough pressure on the human skull will make anyone pass out, I could've just choked her out, but that's not as intimidating."

"Message received, do not fuck with her." Thought the whole table.

"M… Miss Rose," Weiss stood up, pulling a notebook out of… somewhere "could I please have your autograph!" she asked, blushing profusely at the embarrassment of the situation.

"Sure, thing Weiss, and please, just call me Ruby. Friends of this idiot," she poked the slouched form of her younger sister "are friends of mine." Ruby grabbed the notebook looking at the cover noticing a pseudo pinup of her with Crescent Rose fully extended in a slashing motion while leaping in the air. Good gods, she had been away from vale for too long.

"When the hell did this start, nobody came to me about merch, since when the hell do I have merch?" she thought.

"Are you… a fan Weiss?" Ruby asked as she signed inside the cover page.

The Schnee heiress twiddled her thumbs. "Yes… for a long time, I just thought you were the pinnacle of what a Huntress should be… I look up to you a great deal."

"Awe, Weiss, you're gonna make me blush. I'm nothing special just doing the job the best I can."

"Excuse me… umm Ruby, but that's exactly why people think that. You're strong but have a level of humility that few can match, and a willingness to help that is nothing short of inspiring." Added Pyrrha smiling honestly at the celebrity.

"Ah geez, thanks a bunch Pyrrha, if someone in your position says that then I have to take the compliment."

"Not at all, during my time in the Mistral tournament I often looked at your accolades and conduct for guidance. It's partially thanks to you and the way you paved that I'm here today."

"C'mon now, that's enough of that. Look I don't even know like half of your names, but I'm going to say this now. This whole celebrity thing, I don't even know how it happened, so please just treat me like any other person." There was a hint of exasperation in her tone.

The table had become silent, wondering if it was really okay for them to talk to someone of Ruby's stature so casually. Although a certain Faunus was silent for a completely different reason. The entire time the woman was present, Blake couldn't help but hyper focus on her.

"Holy shit, it's actually her. I'm sitting at a table with Ruby Rose, who happens to be my dumbass partners older sister… Did my heart skip a beat when she looked at me?! What the hell is this?! No no no, I do not have a celebrity crush. But, she said she didn't even want the reputation she has, so is it a celebrity crush? What am I even saying?! She's just my partner's older sister, who just so happens to be the most beautiful person I've ever seen. Not helping, ME! None of her photos do her justice. Oh, come on! Get it together, don't go freaking out here. When have I ever freaked out over a person?! I don't even know her!"

Her internal feud didn't go unnoticed by the older woman, however, Ruby couldn't quite piece together what was going on inside the young Faunus's mind, but she did notice the obvious blush, especially when the ravenette couldn't seem to decide whether to look at her or anywhere but her. She wasn't a dense kid anymore after all.

The entire time Ruby spoke to the others present at the table she kept a careful eye on Blake, watching her internal war slowly unfold, Blake seemingly unaware of all outside interactions. In that moment Ruby decided that it was probably just some passing celebrity crush that would fizzle and die after spending any amount of time together, but it could be a little fun to tease the girl, make Blake more comfortable interacting with her. And who was she kidding, teasing a pretty girl like Blake, who in their right mind would let that chance slip. So, with only a slightly evil smirk silver locked onto amber.

"Blake, are you okay? You look a little red, if you need to go lie down in your dorm room, I'd be happy to help you back." She spoke, letting only the slightest bit of flirtation leak into her tone. But her eyes told a different story. To the recipient, she might as well have said "I see you, don't think you can hide it from me."

In that moment, Blake knew she was caught. Eyes widening with borderline panic she thought to herself, "Say something, anything, don't need to confirm her suspicion, play it cool Belladonna."

"Sorry, uhh I need to… rearrange my bookshelf!" She got up rushing away from the group. "See you all later!"

"Nooo not my partner…"

"Welcome back to the world of the living Yang." Ruby said, a hint of mirth in her eyes.

"One day and you're already back to this again? C'mon anyone but one of my teammates, heck do it to Pyrrha over there, just not my team."

"Do what to me? If you're looking for a spar, I'm more than happy to oblige." Said the Mistralian Champion, cluelessly.

"What are you guys talking about, was that thing with Blake normal?" Jaune asked.

"Unfortunately. You haven't changed at all have you, Rubes?"

"I have no idea what you're talking about." She deadpanned.

"The worst part is that I know you don't, it's just some harmless teasing to you, but you have no idea the amount I've suffered for it. What's your sister's number, what kind of food does she like, do you know if she's free this week? Those are some examples of what all your victims bother ME with." Yang knew she won when Ruby wouldn't meet her eyes.

"What are you talking about exactly?" asked Weiss

With a groan Yang said "This doofus is the most unintentional flirt you'll ever meet. She tries to tease people to get them to be more comfortable around her or something, but the way she does it, to just about everyone, it comes off as shameless flirting. I thought you got away from that after… that incident."

"I learned my lesson that time. What I'm hearing is it's fine if I do it on purpose right?" The hints of a smirk started to creep up her face.

In that moment you could hear a leaf hit the floor if one dropped.

"On purpose?! Did you just admit to flirting with my partner on purpose?! Nuh uh, no way not happening I'm shutting this down, not a chance."

"Tsk."

"Did you just click your tongue at me?! Since when did you even like girls?!"

"Uhh, always?" That stopped Yang dead in her tracks.

"I can't believe I'm just learning this now…"

"What? it's not like I was gonna talk about my romantic preference to a twelve year old. I mean I love you, but you were too young to learn about any of that."

"You couldn't mention that in a phone call or a text, or something, I don't know, any of times we've spoken since I last saw you."

"I never really thought about it, you want me to just shoot you a text saying I'm gay out of nowhere?"

"YES!" Yang said exasperatedly. She looked over as Ruby started to reach into her pocket. "Put your scroll away, it's too late now!"

"There's just no pleasing you is there?" Ruby rolled her eyes.

As the little argument continued the rest of the table could do nothing but look on at the absurdity of the situation and try with all their might to pretend they didn't exist.

Ozpin was many things, Headmaster of Beacon Academy, pseudo immortal ancient magical wizard, leader of an unspoken organization responsible for protecting the secrets of the world and fighting an off the record war against the greatest evil in the history of mankind, but he still considered himself above all else, a normal man who had made many mistakes. One of those mistakes was currently at Beacon on vacation, read extended leave. Ruby Rose was a young woman who placed far too much of a burden on her own shoulders. I young woman with a drive to help others so strong that she put herself in the firing line countless times to do it. Ozpin still remembered the day he first asked the young reaper to take a life at his command.

"If I don't do this, someone else will right?" Her look was solemn then, conflicted between doing something she was told needed to be done, fighting with everything she ever wanted to be. Saving others was all she wanted to do, to be the hero like the story books Summer often read for her. But to be that hero for someone, she had to be the villain for another.

"I can assure you Miss Rose, that you are free to decline this. However, I won't lie and say it won't affect anything if you say no., I didn't want to bring this to you in the first place, but Qrow is on a separate assignment right now and I have no way of knowing what kind of trouble this criminal could cause in the time it takes to find someone else." Ozpin hung his head, his words were honest, but he knew she wouldn't say no. Ruby Rose would do whatever it took to save even a single life, and time was not on either of their sides.

"I'll do it. If others could get hurt waiting for help, then I'll do it. I won't let anyone suffer a day longer than they have to."

Ozpin knew the answer before it even left the woman's lips, and every day since he's uttered an apology to the gods for pushing such a pure and honest soul down a path that he wished none would have to tread.

Since then, Ruby Rose worked tirelessly, moving from one mission to the next, sometimes in the public eye and sometimes out. The woman was a prodigy in the most extreme sense. Few in history could hope to match her ingenuity and proficiency. When first told about her eyes she had mastered them within the year, doing things that even her mother, Summer, was unable to do. Truly she had become Ozpins strongest piece on the board in this little war.

But, after all this time he could see the wear on the girl. The countless battles and endless travel that she had done for their sakes filled him with immense guilt. Months ago, Ozpin decided, that he had asked enough of this young woman for the time being. It was high time she was given some respite to heal her aching muscles and her tired soul. They would pick up the pieces in the field when needed, Ozpin had already taken too much from their lone Silver Eyed Warrior.

"Spend all that time thinking and you'll never notice when you're standing in front of the grave your enemies finished digging for you." That stopped Ozpin cold, only one person could sneak up on him at this point.

"Miss Rose, it's good to speak face to face after so long. I'm glad the trip wasn't too long for you." He spoke, a small but genuine smile on his face.

"Yeah, nothing like being on familiar ground for the first time in a while."

"I understand the feeling all too well. Already been around the Academy?"

"Yeah, had a late breakfast with Yang and met her team. Good kids." Ruby said with a chuckle.

"You speak like you're not still a young woman yourself." Ozpin gave her an amused look.

"I know, I know, it's just… I feel pretentious thinking I'm older than I am, so I'm not gonna say it out loud."

Ozpin laughed at that. "One could forgive you for feeling that way. Please do take your time here to rest. I won't be asking any missions from you until I see an improvement in your health myself."

"Thanks for that. Feels a little surreal, like my body has forgotten how to unwind." She said as she tried to force the tension out of her body.

"A common problem, I assure you. Now, for the terms of this arrangement. You'll be rooming in the spare bed in the SBL dorm room, they have an open bed available, and I assumed you'd like to spend time with your sister. Professor Port has been asking for leave for a few years now, and with your return I could think of no one better to take his place teaching Grimm studies. You've demonstrated impressive ingenuity and knowledge when dealing with even the most difficult of Grimm. Consider yourself a fully hired part of the staff until further notice. Here is the syllabus and lesson plan Peter left for you so you can pick up where he left off." He reached into his desk drawer pulling out a stack of papers and a small notebook that could only be made up of personal notes.

Ruby accepted the papers readily with a smile, not disagreeing with any of the conditions set. "I'm a little nervous about this Oz. I mean if Yang's circle of friends reacted like that to me, I'm not sure how I could handle the entire student body."

"Difficulty adjusting to your elevated position I take it?"

"Elevated position, the Schnee Heiress asked me to sign a notebook with me on the cover of it. Which reminds me, if it was you who had anything to do with there being merch of me, I will burn this school to the ground." Ozpin knew she'd do it too.

"I can promise you, none of us had anything to do with that Miss Rose. The rest of us were just as surprised as you." He couldn't remember the last time he had a nervous sweat, but this wouldn't be a time he easily forgot.

"Then your Academy is safe. Today." She said as she turned around and skipped towards the elevator. Skipped.

"In all my time, I've never met anyone so bubbly yet terrifying." Ozpin spoke to an empty room quickly feeling like tea may not be strong enough for today.

"So, want to explain what the hell that was?" The accusatory glare that accompanied Yang's statement made Blake shrink in on herself.

"I was nervous, I've never met a famous person before!" Sadly, it was genuinely the best she could come up with.

"It totally wasn't the fact that your sister is so hot I nearly had a meltdown."

"Dude, eww! I didn't want to know that!" Yang's face contorted into disgust.

"Did I say that out loud!? What is happening to me?!" She proceeded to curl up into a ball on the floor trying to stop her face from overheating.

"What is happening to this team right now?" Weiss thought watching the chaos unfold.

"Yang, stop being so aggressive about this. Blake, I know, so help me gods, I know what you mean, but don't say those kinds of things aloud. Keep them bottled up inside, where they can never escape." Weiss looked proud of herself for that one somehow.

"Weiss… are you ok?"

"If you need to talk, I'm here for you."

Both of her teammates somehow recovered and were now… placating her?

"How did you flip this on me?!" Weiss trudged to the closet and started fishing out a few things. All of them some way or another had Ruby Rose's face or emblem on it.

"Weiss, what are you doing." Yang asked, somewhere between screaming in laughter and in pain at the pile of growing Crimson Reaper merch.

"Look you two, I'm being proactive about this. It's a fact that we have one of the strongest huntresses on Remnant currently at Beacon. I'd like to catch her attention somehow."

"Weiss, how do you think all this in going to get her attention?" asked Blake, almost recovered from her CATatonic state. (I've been up all-night writing this, just let me have my fun. I will not apologize.)

"Look I know Yang is her sister, but what if that's not enough? More than anything I want to learn from her. If I can get even one private lesson out of this, then that's enough. I'm just trying to get her attention, so she remembers me. If that has to be by being her biggest fan, then so be it. Our team situation is strange to say the least. If our combat record doesn't catch her eye, then maybe some of these will." She said while putting on a Crimson Reaper T-shirt over her normal outfit.

"I know my sister, and you heard her at the table today, she isn't too big on this fame thing. Do you really think this is gonna be the thing she decides to take you under her wing over? I mean c'mon Weiss." Her words cut Weiss a little deeper than intended.

Blue eyes shimmered with building tears "Then what else am I supposed to do? I've been wracking my brain all day! You're her sister, all you have to do is ask! And I have no idea what's going on with you," she leveled a finger at Blake "and her, but clearly she's noticed you already! First thing I do is ask for some autograph, so she's already probably written me off as just a fan, well damnit, I'm going to be the best fan she'll ever have." No one had ever heard Weiss like that. Caught somewhere between a desperate cry and an angry scream. The snow themed girl was often the most composed between the three of them. Seeing the petite girl like this, hit harder than they would've thought.

"I wouldn't be so sure Weiss, after today, I think she probably only sees me as some dumb starstruck girl with some kind of celebrity crush." Blake said trying to placate the Heiress.

"So, you admit you're crushing on my sister?"

Blake groaned as she threw her hands up in defeat.

Before the conversation could continue, a knock on the door rang through the room. Yang moved over to open the door, thinking it would be someone from team JNPR coming to ask a few questions about today, or just ask them to hang out.

Ruby had said her goodbye's earlier, and Yang had fully expected her to make the trip to Patch to see their dad. So, it was surprising when she opened the door to see her sister standing there with what looked to be a duffel bag.

"Yo, nice to see you again roomies!" she exclaimed while Yang moved out of the way, and she walked into the room.

"So, turns out I'm subbing for Port while he takes a vacation, and I heard you guys had an extra bed and I figured it would be nice spend time with my sister and get to know her tea- what the hell are you wearing?"

That's a wrap folks. For today anyway. All in all, I am a little worried about tone on this one. I feel like I hopped from funny happy moment to serious a little fast and I'm concerned that might be a little jarring. Anyway, let me know what you think! Please R&R and hopefully it isn't too long until next time!

I don't think the tonal shift is a bad thing or jarring at all. The first chapter was more setting the story while this one felt more like a dive into it. But I found there was enough humor that it didn't feel like a suddenly serious chapter coming out of nowhere. Also, good choice in music, you may have just given me another band to listen to. I need more of those. There, now you have some feedback about it.
