7:00 a.m
"Hey, don't you have a better room? I thought there must be at least something to cool this room's atmosphere down like an AC perhaps."
Dobermann just sighed when she heard Joseph's words. But, a few shots like this is a good start. "Now, the first question... Where's the shirt I gave you?"
Not a surprising question. That's right, Joseph's upper body wasn't having on it even a piece of cloth, revealing his toned and seductive muscles. But in front of an experienced officer like Dobermann, it didn't seem to have any effect.
*BAM*
"That's the largest size my ass! Do you know how hard it was for me to fit into that damn 'largest-sized' shit?!"
Joseph slumped back in his chair in frustration after slamming his hands on the table and lamenting.
"Second question, where do you come from?"
"Well, I'm from Vic...toria?"
Joseph began to recreate the map he had seen in Chernobog in his mind when he was still with Scout's team.
'Victoria just sounded like England back on Earth, even though I was an American.'
"Hmm... You don't look like an Aslan. And even your accent sounds more like a Columbian than a Victorian."
The confusing Joseph was getting even more confused when hearing the officer point out the holes in his words. Groaning and slamming his head on the table in frustration, he knew he couldn't keep acting up anymore.
"Okay, if I told you I came from another world where I don't have a pair of animal ears like you, would you even believe my words? I'm tired at this shit."
Joseph said it out loud, facepalmed in boredness. He didn't like that other people knew he was from another world since it would have been better for people to see him as a 'normal' person. But how to? He didn't know the basic concept of this strange world, let alone answer some interrogation.
"So... what kind of world is that?"
"There, see- Wait, what?"
"Your 'world'. What kind of world is that?"
For some weird reason, Joseph found this question a bit confusing, at least it was to him.
"Excuse... you? Hey, aren't you suppose to say something like 'are you high'?"
He asked again in confusion, mixed with a hint of sarcasm.
"I don't want to believe you either."
Lying in Dobermann's hand was Joseph's medical analysis, and she was looking at it with a confused look?
"Well... according to the report from the Medical Department, you don't possess any trait of any races that existed on Terra."
She put the report back on the table before crossing her arms to wait for the answer she was looking for.
"Well... How should I say it?" Joseph began to think about what he had experienced in Chernobog city compared to what he had to go through on Earth.
"Hmm, just kick that Originium things out and add some four Pillar Men, I think.
"Pillar Men?"
"Year. Just imagine that they are male strippers wearing loincloths."
"...Okay. So what's-
*pose*
"Joseph Joestar, but you can call me JoJo!"
He posed with the most extravagant pose he thought of, but what he obtained was only a nonchalant gaze from Dobermann.
"I haven't said anything yet."
She said, before sorting out the paper on the table.
"That's it. Thank you, Joestar. I'm going last this interview for a bit longer. But considering the case that you are having mental pro- I mean from another world, maybe this is enough. If you consider having breakfast, there's a canteen outside."
Dobermann said nonchalantly before she drove her focus on the paperwork.
"Also, meet me again at my office if you have free time."
"Whoa, whoa ma'am, I don't know that you have a 'lady boner' for young-"
*SMACK*
"Shit!"
Joseph barely dodged her whip, making him rushingly open the door and left the interrogation room with such speed.
She facepalmed.
"A world without Originium and war? What a childish thought, even for a delusional one like you, Joseph Joestar."
Dobermann said to herself, seeing Joseph had completely left.
"Now then, where should I go first?"
Suddenly, his stomach started to ache, with the acid in it started to boil.
"Canteen, sure. I sure need some calories now."
Joseph groaned wearily, dragging his body to the canteen in the direction indicated on the signboard. But, there was no seat waiting for him there.
*mumble*
"Ah, damn! I'm getting starved here!"
His lament was immediately saturated with the mumbles of the other Operators. Not noticing the female Operators admiring his muscular physique, and the male Operators who feel inadequate.
"Hello there."
A feminine voice and a hand from an empty table called him out, capturing Joseph's attention.
'Wow... She's one hell of a bombshell.'
Sitting there was a... catgirl or Feline, that's how the people around him called it. She had dark blue hair, along with a friendly expression.
Joseph shook his head to regain his composure, trying to pry his eyes, from the pretty, busty, hot, Feline lady. He fake coughed, before approaching the mysterious lady. Slowly and methodically, he sat down on the opposite side of her, staring at her with such intensity. That is until someone began to approach and set down on Joseph's table a tray of food, with bacon and eggs as the main.
"Not a lot, but it's enough to fill the stomach."
He sighed, then began to dig into his first meal of the day with the bacon and eggs. This is when the problem kicked in when she returned the stare that Joseph tried to give her.
Menacing?
No
Intimidating?
Not either.
It was just a silent stare that last longer than a minute. He ate as she stared. The brunette tried to stick his fork on the meal, only to realize that he had finished it before he even acknowledge it.
"Ow, I lose!"
She suddenly blinked her eyes, making Joseph a bit confused about what happened.
"You what?"
"Eh... Aren't we having a staring contest?"
Joseph was silent, before-
"Your next line is:
"What, cat got your tongue?"
They said simultaneously, making Joseph smirk at Blaze's reaction.
"Ah ha! Twice in a row!"
He said confidently. The bizarre approach between them created a silent atmosphere.
"...So what's your name, rookie?"
*pose*
"Joseph Joestar, but I go with JoJo!"
Meanwhile, the Operators around them just gave questioned looks about how bizarre did they approach each other.
Meanwhile...
"Achoo!"
The blonde girl sneezed, making the tall delinquent take a look back at her.
"Yare Yare Daze... I just feel like someone was talking shits behind my back."
"Yeah, me too."
Back to Joseph.
"So... JoJo, would you have some free time this morning?"
Blaze asked, resting her face on her palm as she looked at Joseph
"What the-? How would I set my schedule when there's literally nothing for me to do?"
Joseph replied, somewhat feeling annoyed by this lady.
"Oh, so you do have free time then? Care to spend time training with me?"
The sweats started to run on his spine when he was remembering that Dobermann has set up an appointment with him in her office, and he prefers not to get whacked by that whip again.
"Eh... I remember that I have something to do first. Later!"
He stood up and ran straight away, not even mind about gazing back at her for once.
Blaze let out a chuckle when she saw the scene, before letting out a sigh.
"You reminded me of my first time coming here... Wish you spend more time here though."
"Left... No, it's right!"
Joseph grunted as he take a turn in the left hallway. He panted a bit, before leaning against the wall opposite Dobermann's office.
"Come in."
Huh... He didn't even knock on the door once, yet she know that he was standing outside. But he didn't care. Because he is a magician as well.
"Coming in!"
He said in a sing-song voice, slowly opening the door.
Turn out, it was not only the instructor that was waiting for him.
"Hi, Joseph."
The Cautus girl waved her hand, gently greeting him with the paperwork tugged at her elbow as she sat down. Joseph was a bit questioned about this, but he returned the greeting nonetheless.
"Yeah, so, what do you need at me, then, instructor?
Joseph said the last part with a hint of joking, but no one took it for fun, though.
"Well... let me explain our problems first.
Amiya put the paperwork on the table. It was not some assignment they give him, it was the report of the injured Operators number during the Chernobog accident.
"You see. Many Rhodes Island's Operators have been heavily injured during the events that happened in Chernobog. Some Operators couldn't make it through and still got stuck in that city."
Dobermann explained. Usually, Joseph will just shrug these words off, but now, he is focusing on her words as much as possible.
"Your injuries are the heaviest, but also, you recovered very fast. The wound gets closed in just one day, due to some yellow electricity Arts your body created."
"Hamon, yes."
Joseph said.
"So, let me get this straight. You want me at the veteran mission within a short time right?"
Dobermann and Amiya nodded. Joseph just smirk-
"Not right now, though. You need to train first. But because time is running out, we must get you through..."
*SMACK*
"...Hell"
Joseph would have shriek if he hadn't swallowed his saliva down his throat. But, he knew how arduous the process would be. The shorter the training time, the more hell-like it will be. A rough month on the island of Air Supplena was enough, but now it will be a week. That's a week! Will Joseph pass the test?
Hard work and work hard?
Hell, not even I can find it in my dictionary.
