P.S I don't write Lemons.

P.S.S I've changed its genre from humor/adventure to adventure because I realized that I won't be able to apply as much humor as I'd like. Maybe I will and I won't realize, but whatever.

Ch.3: Ten Is A Good Boy

It's been a week since the challenge for Earth.

Ever since things had returned to normal.

As normal as life could be in Tomobiki.

"Man," Rikyu wiped his forehead, dressed in a blue suit. "Work's a killer."

Mr. Moroboshi walked through the city and watched as all kinds of people went by him. Their emotions went through his mind as he tried to ignore them. Sighing, he pressed forward, determined to leave this populated area. On his way, he noticed a crowd forming ahead of him.

The excitement, dread, and anticipation flooded out of them like a river.

That could only mean….

Sighing again, Rikyu shook his head before choosing to take a long way home.

Once again, it was just a normal day in Tomobiki.

"AAAAAAHHHH!" Omni screamed before crashing into a car. "FUCKIN' HELL!"

Which wasn't much, to be honest.

"Come on, Omni. At least, give me a challenge." She shouted, seemingly disappointed. "When I got the report, I rushed over to see if it's true. So, let's fight! Turn into something strong already!"

Getting on his knees, Omni cracked his neck before glaring at the newcomer.

"You came all the way here, just to pick a fight with me!?" Omni said, annoyed. "For real, Mirko. At least, say you've come to arrest me."

"I've already kicked the crap outta those villains you were brawling with, so why bother?" Mirko shrugged before bending her knees. "Nevermind that. Show me what you've got!"

"Should a hero be acting like this?" Omni gestured to their surroundings. "How will the public view this?"

"500¥ on Mirko!"

"Are you kidding me!? Come On, Omni! Show That Rabbit Who's Boss!"

"I got 300¥ on Omni if he doesn't change into something good and 400¥ if he does."

"I'll accept it if you raise it to 600¥."

"Deal."

Slack-jawed, Omni could listen as spectators gambled on their fight.

"WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS TOWN!?" Omni shouted before sidestepping the Rabbit Hero. "BETTER YET. WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU!?"

"Nothing just wanted to visit my old pal," Mirko said, pressing her attack.

With his acrobatic skills, he managed to avoid her attacks but was unable to counter them.

"Since when did we become pals?" Omni asked before diving under her spinning kick.

Using the momentum from her failed attack, Mirko spun around before landing a punch on his face. While thrown off balance, Omni managed to jump back before rolling across the ground.

"Since I haven't caught you yet," Mirko stated, letting Omni recover. "Once you've done your time, why not attend a hero academy. You've got potential. Hell, I've heard Nezu's interested in meeting you."

"Tempting, but I'll have to refuse. I'm not a Hero. Just some guy who wants to protect people, nothing more. Besides, I have a feeling even if I come peacefully. The Public Safety Commission won't play friendly." Omni rejected as his watch let out a chime. "Finally."

Mirko raised her brow. "What's up with the watch?"

"It stabilizes my quirk," He admitted before activating the Omnitrix. "Since it rang, it's payback time!"

Mirko narrowed her eyes.

"Omni's quirk is crazy. By changing his form, he can use different quirks. A jack of all trades. Hawks mentioned that the big wigs were freaking out about the threat he presents to the public. Asshats. They think the Heroes don't know that, but he hasn't shown any ill will yet. Until he does, some of us are willing to turn a blind eye to his heroics. And should the day come, we'll be ready to take him on."

Despite these thoughts, Mirko found herself growing restless.

Who shall be her opponent?

"Rath, let it be Rath!"

"Brainstorm!"

"WHY NOT RATH!?" Mirko shouted, outraged.

What a letdown!

"My overly aggressive lagomorph, you seem to have consigned your intellect to oblivion." Brainstorm chided, his pincer snapping at her. "Thus, I've taken upon myself to educate you of the value of strategic analysis."

"...what?"

"Simpleton." the crustacean sighed. "I'm going to show you why my brains are superior to your brawn."

"Well now," Mirko cracked her knuckles. "Why didn't you just say so?"

"And lower me to your level?" Brainstorm shivered. "Such barbarity is simply beneath me. My enormous cranium should be evidence of my intellectual superiority over you."

Now That she understood as she leaped towards Brainstorm.

"Are you saying you're better than me because your head is bigger!?" Mirko yelled, swinging her foot downwards. "Luna Fall!"

Before her kick landed, she found herself suspended in mid-air by green electricity. Entering her vision, Mirko could see the top of his head was open, exposing his brain.

A brain that shoots lightning.

Grinning smugly, Brainstorm mocked, "What I'm stating is that I'm smarter than you because my brain is bigger. I do hope I made that clear."

Shooting her across the street, Mirko flipped herself mid-fall before landing on her feet. As she skidded to a halt, the Rabbit Hero locked her sights on Brainstorm.

"Crystal," She said, grinning fiercely. "Just Don't Complain When I Serve Your Ass With A Side Of Butter!"

With electricity dancing around his pincers, Brainstorm grinned.

"Why Rabbit? I'm afraid your Alice won't notice you with that black coat."

It's been a week since Lum came to Earth and she was loving it!

Resting happily in the bath, Lum stretched her arms as she sighed. Sinking deeper, Lum closed her eyes and allowed the warm water to carry her away.

"Now if only Darling was here with me. Then it would be perfect."

Although, she had a feeling that bathing would be the last thing on their minds if he was here.

Lum grinned lecherously, her fangs showing.

Not that she wouldn't mind.

Hey, Lum can be a bit of a perv, but only for her Darling.

Thinking her husband, Lum drifted back to when she met his parent.

One Week Ago

"So, let me get this straight," Hazuki said calmly.

The same could not be said for her husband. The poor man was sitting outside, shaking like a leaf as he read his newspaper with sweaty hands.

"You got…." Mrs. Moroboshi paused before forcing out. "..married?"

"Well…." Ataru glanced back at Lum, sitting there happily. "I guess you can say that."

Leaning nearing the entrance, Delta snorted. "More like that's exactly what happened."

Changing targets, Hazuki smiled prettily. "And why are you here?"

Delta rolled his eyes.

To Rikyu and his son, he was either a brave man or a foolish one.

"Regulations state when an alien marries a human family, an agent must be present to evaluate their discussion. You know, in case things go south." Delta explained.

Foolish it is.

Hazuki nodded.

"Go south. I understand. Then again, I recall someone reassuring me that my son's safety was ensured."

She smiled as her husband gulped.

"So, please tell me…."

Several birds rested peacefully on the Moroboshi rooftop. Cats meowed as they walked atop stone fences. The neighborhood kids were playing with their All Might action figures as their parents relaxed.

A truly peaceful morning.

"HOW THE HELL DID THIS HAPPEN!?"

Suddenly, the whole neighborhood stopped what they were doing as the birds fled the scene.

Meanwhile, Lum could only gawk as Hazuki shook the M.I.B agent like a hound with its chew toy.

"Your Mother Is Incredible!"

Ataru sighed with his face in his hands.

"She's something, alright."

Giggling, Lum smiled.

"It took some time, but I think they like having me around." Lum blushed happily. "I know Darling does."

He won't admit it, but he does love her. He seems stubborn about it, but she could tell.

Call it a woman's intuition.

"Now, if I could only get him to say it." Lum thought, lowering herself until the water touched her upper lips. "Something is stopping him, but what?"

"I'm home," Lum could hear her father-in-law. "Oku-san, are you here?"

"I'm in the kitchen," Mother-in-law called out. "Lum's taking a bath."

"Okay. I know where Ataru is. He's out working."

"Of course he is." she sighed. "That boy will be the end of me."

"Darling isn't allowed to fight by Earth law, so it's kept a secret. No worries, I won't let anyone take him away from me!" Lum narrowed her eyes, electricity coming from her horns.

After her bath, Lum flew into Darling's room with a towel wrapped around her body. As she landed, she looked around for her Storage Unit, a device, similar to a futuristic suitcase, capable of holding numerous items within artificial space. In this case, her portable closet with all her clothes and stuff inside. After some time, she found it in the closet.

"There you are." Lum smiled, taking it over to the desk.

Placing her hand on her Unit, it glowed briefly before unlocking itself. Once it opened, Lum dipped her hand in and felt around for her clothing. Frowning, she shoved her other hand inside before pulling her entire upper half inside. Her lower half wiggled as she struggled to find some clothes.

Unaware of how it would look from an outsider's view.

"I'm back," Ataru said, focused on the Omnitrix as he entered. "Damn Mirko. I think she nearly cracked Brainstorm's shell. Are you here LuUUAAH!?"

He found two large pale globes shaking in front of him, much to his shock.

"What the fuck?" Ataru mumbled, tugging his shirt.

"FINALLY! GOT YOU!" Lum yelled victorious as she came out with her standard outfit.

Not realizing that her Darling was frozen stiff at the sight.

*Flop*

…Or that her towel fell.

Hearing a violent cough, Lum turned around to find her Darling standing mindlessly behind her. Growing concerned when his choking worsened, she took a step towards him only for him to take a step back.

"Darling? What's wrong?" Lum asked, worried for her crimson lover.

Just then, a cool breeze brushed her as she shivered slightly.

Looking downwards, she realized her current attire.

Or lack of attire, much to Ataru's dismay.

Slowly, a fanged smile formed on Lum's lip, and her arms went behind her back, showing her goods. Ataru felt his face turn a hundred degrees hotter as something wanting to break free.

"Darling." She whispered, sending shivers down his spine. "If you want me, then all you have to do is ask. In return, all I ask is to be connected with you and only you. Always."

Ataru swallowed.

"She's an Oni? She isn't a succubus?"

However, Lum pressed against Ataru and he could feel her body through his clothing. He was trapped by her passionate gaze as she wrapped her bare arms around his neck and leaned in. Slowly, he felt himself falling deeper into his desire as his lips edged closer to Lums.

Just before they made contact, Hazuki yelled. "Dinner's Ready!"

Coming to his senses, Ataru gently pushed Lum back. Looking away with red cheeks, he mumbled an apology before rushing out of the room. Unbothered, Lum smirked with one hand on her waist.

"I was close." She said, gathering her clothes. "Most boys would have jumped at the chance. Ranking up, Darling. I'm impressed."

"This is so good! Bland, but good."

"How is that possible?" Ataru raised his eyebrow.

Lum shrugged.

Hazuki smiled weakly at them.

"I'm glad you sort of like my cooking."

Bowing, Lum explained. "I guess my people have different taste buds than humans."

"Do you need something different then?" Ataru mumbled, focused on Lum, who smiled at him.

"No, I'll be fine. Besides, it may seem tasteless, but I still feel the effort your mother put into this meal." Lum said, turning to Hazuki. "That's why I find your food delicious ma'am."

Flushed with pride, Hazuki grinned, "Why thank you, dear. Now if only my son could be as appreciative as you."

"How's this coming back at me?"

Lum pouted at Darling, who leaned away.

"What?"

Rikyu chuckled, "Happy wife means a happy life, son. Trust me."

"What?" Ataru raised an eye. "Has that helped you?"

"Of course."

"I'll bet," Hazuki said, narrowing her eyes. "Something to share, otto-san?"

Rikyu chuckled, sweat dripping down his face.

"You always forget her quirk, don't cha Dad?" Ataru mumbled, taking a bite of his rice. "Speaking of which, Lum?"

"Yes, Darling?"

"Exactly how are you…" Ataru paused. "...handling life on Earth?"

Rubbing her chin, Lum squinted.

Since she chose to live on Earth, she had to learn about their laws and customs. When everyone is out, Lum does Facetime with her new miniature computer systems. It was nothing compared to her ship's computer, but it was so compact that she can carry it in her arms or hold it in her lap.

According to her Darling, humans call it a laptop.

"When you're so advanced that inferior stuff like this seems interesting." Darling had said after explaining it.

Anyway, the M.I.B's educational system, for those who plan to live on this planet, has helped her greatly. Since humans aren't aware of other planets, they're expected to obey its laws while maintaining their new identity. In Lum's case, it meant she couldn't use her powers freely in public. There were some other things, but they weren't anything important.

"My teacher at the M.I.B is confusing, but that's normal for educators," Lum said before turning to her husband. "Since I've answered your question, may you answer mine?"

Shrugging, Ataru nodded.

"Whenever you transform, you shout their names. Why?"

"To be honest, I knew their names and abilities the moment I transformed. Still knowing what your powers are and how to use them are two different things. It's like they were already named long before I started using the Omnitrix. Even so, that doesn't make my feelings any less true. So…"

With an amused smirk, he closed his eyes and said, "They're not transformations. They are a part of me and I am part of them. When I use this watch, I'm not calling out attacks. I'm calling out their aid. I'm letting the world know who they are. That they're more than just powers, they are living beings just like my parents and you."

Opening his eyes, Ataru found Lum looking at him with stars in her eyes.

"That was so deep, DARLING!" Lum pounced at him, much to his embarrassment. "You put so much thought into your abilities! It's inspiring how much you care about them."

"Oh! Don't hug me so tightly!"

"Aw. You don't have to be shy. Come on…"

"Oi," Ataru struggled to free himself before turning to his parents. "A little help, please?

However, they were far too amused.

"I'll take care of the dishes since you seem occupied," Hazuki smirked. "You're old enough to know this, but don't forget to use protection."

"What are you saying?!"

"Thank you for your blessing, Mother!"

"LUM!?"

Behind his newspaper, Rikyu said. "How I envy your youth."

"You're not that old, Father. Please don't think of yourself as such."

With her attention away from him, Ataru used the Omnitrix before vanishing into thin air, much to Lum's shock.

Suddenly, Rikyu hides his snickering behind his paper. Hazuki blinked before letting out an unwomanly snort.

Ignoring her in-laws, Lum looked around for her husband. "Darling? Darling? Where did you go? Darling?"

Floating out of the room, Lum never noticed the glowing speck on the small dining table.

"That was close." Nanomech sighed.

*Rumble*

"As you can see, the weather is showing fierce thunder and heavy rains until the day after tomorrow." The weather reporter stated, the chart depicted many thunder clouds. "I would advise against traveling outside unless it is necessary."

Resting in a chair, the television filled the room with noise as someone entered the room and heard the news.

"Drip. Drop. Drip. Well, isn't that a surprise?"

"What?"

"I need more patients."

"Did your supply expire?"

"Not at all. They have entered the final stages. However, they need to be kept under observation until the results become more apparent. Until then, I would like you to bring volunteers more further experimentation. You know my preference."

"That I do, but the real question is why should I?"

"Because you benefit far more from my research than I do. You know that I know that. So why not be a good assistant and assist your doctor."

"Whatever. I'll deal with it when the storm settles. I hate getting wet."

"Alright, Shizue Mitsuo."

Resting on the window, Lum could only watch as lightning danced across the sky and rain fell from the heavens.

"It's beautiful," Lum said, amazed.

Sitting at his desk, Ataru glanced at her.

"You like the rain?"

She nodded before saying. "For elemental users like myself, we feel admiration for our elements. For example, a hydrokinetic loves the sea."

"...while you love lightning," Ataru concluded, to which she nodded. "I get it."

Afterward, a comfortable silence covered them as Ataru continued his homework while Lum admired the storm outside. There were times where he would sneak a peek at Lum, but it was never for long. Eventually, Ataru stared deeply into Lum until she felt it and looked back. Tilting her head, she wordlessly asked if there was something wrong.

"Lum, about earlier," Ataru started, clenching his pencil.

"What?"

"When we were…almost…." Ataru took a breath before asking. "You said that you wanted to connect?"

Her eyes lit with understanding and she smiled.

"I meant it. I don't mind being a conduit for your lust, as long as it's me that you lust for. I think you already know my opinion on the matter."

"But why?" Ataru shook his head as he questioned her. "We've known each other for only a week. Doesn't that seem reckless?"

"Love is all about taking chances, even if it turns out to be a mistake later," Lum said.

"Like with your ex?" Ataru muttered, feeling strange all of the sudden. "Did you ever…?"

Shaking her head, Lum scowled.

"Not in this life. I would give my purity to him." She hissed out, much to his shock.

"P-P-Purity? You're saying you're a…a…" Ataru paused, burning red.

"...Virgin? Of course, I took you before that relationships were precious to my people." Lum said, suddenly relaxed. "You and I. It's like we're connected by something. I don't know how, but I know that it is something I want. Is it something you want….with me?"

Ataru swallowed deeply, his assignments long forgotten.

He couldn't deny that he did feel something about her.

Something familiar yet so very different.

He couldn't understand, but a part of him didn't want to.

Why did he want her, despite knowing Lum for such a short time?

So deep in his thoughts, Ataru didn't notice Lum until she was behind him, wrapping her arms around him as she rested her head atop his own.

"It's strange, isn't it?" Ataru mumbled.

Nodding, Lum said, "Maybe, but that doesn't mean it's a bad thing."

"So, what now?" He lowered his head. "...Do you…?"

"Yes," She admitted before stepping away. "However, I want it to be something we both enjoy together. I told you that I won't force you to do anything you don't want. That isn't love, it's slavery. So you don't have to worry, I'm more than willing to wait."

Taking his silence as understanding, She floated her Darling before landing on his lap and smiled mischievously.

"Besides, there is something we can do."

Ataru gulped at her tone, but he managed to say. "And t-that is?"

Her smile turned into a fanged grin and Ataru suddenly had an idea of where she's going.

"CUDDLES!" Lum cried out, embracing her Darling, who suddenly felt stupid.

"I don't know which head came up with that idea?" Ataru sighed.

Ultimately, He returned her open affection with a subtle one, slowly returning her hug.

"This is…." Ataru tightened his hold on Lum, a soft smile forming. "...feels right?"

However, their peaceful silence was about to end with a bang.

*CRASH*

They jumped as a bolt of lightning crashed through the room before striking the living room. Mr. & Mrs. Moroboshi could be heard screaming.

Quickly, Ataru and Lum rushed downstairs and found them alive and unharmed.

"My… My… My…. My Beautiful House!"

Except for Rikyu, who was having a mental breakdown.

"Darling. Is Father going to be alright?" Lum asked, waving at his face, only to get no response.

"He's fine. He's going to his happy place." Ataru said, before looking at his mother. "Don't worry about the cleanup. Clockwork should handle this."

Hazuki shrugged before noticing something.

In the center of the living room, directly where the lighting struck, resting in the crater.

"A peach?" She said, catching Lum's attention as they crouched down. "A big one?"

Narrowing her eyes, Lum muttered. "I don't think that's a peach?"

"Then what is it?" Hazuki asked, struggling briefly before picking it up. "It's heavy."

"Can I use your phone?" Lum asked, to which Hazuki nodded confused.

As Lum left for the phone, Ataru went through the Omnitrix.

"My beautiful house." Rikyu whimpered. "I haven't finished paying our mortgage yet. The cost of repairs is going to ruin us."

Glancing at his broken father, Ataru sighed. "This isn't the first time something broke in this house. So, why does he always act like this?"

"We're a lower-middle-class family. I understand how he's feeling. However I have a perfect memory, so will you hurry up and fix this!" His mother demanded, placing the peach away from the damage.

"Give me a second. I don't want to become the wrong alien." He glared at his mother. "Unless you want more damage to this house?"

Rikyu let out a strangled noise, while Hazuki conceded to her son, who transformed.

"Clockwork!" He announced before rotating his key piece. "Alright. It's Time to fix this house."

Hazuki groaned, embarrassed.

Once he stopped twisting the piece, it began to twirl as the gears in his chest started to glow brightly. A green pulse brushed as the living room turned the same color. Slowly, the living room started to fix itself, as though going back in time. Finally, the living room was back to normal, looking as if it was recently bought.

"Better?" Clockwork asked as his father suddenly hugged him, which did not affect him. "I'll take that as a yes."

"I LOVE YOU, SON!"

Pushing his father away, Clockwork turned his focus over to his mother. Stomping towards her, he found her staring at the peach.

"Why is a giant peach in my fleshly clean house?" Clockwork joked only for Hazuki to glare at him. "What?"

"No more puns."

"You think I make them on purpose?"

Rolling her eyes, she examined the peach before tapping her knuckles against it.

"Lum's right. This isn't a peach." Hazuki frowned before repeating the process. "I have had peaches before. This doesn't match my memories."

Looking back at Clockwork, she jerked her head at the peach. Understanding, he picked up the peach with one hand before his key spun backward as his face glowed green.

Meanwhile, Lum returned from her call and noticed a big robot holding the peach.

"Darling?" Lum guessed, which her in-laws nodded.

"Clockwork," he replied before his head rotated at Lum. "Where were you and what is a child doing inside a peach?"

Flying at him, Lum took the peach from him before setting it gently on the floor.

"Ten," Lum said, knocking on the peach. "You can come out now."

Suddenly, the peach split itself in half, revealing a small child. Wearing nothing but a tiger stripe diaper, the little boy had short, puffy green hair and little brown eyes with a baby horn on the back of his head.

"Lum!" The child greeted, slowly floating towards her.

Smiling, she opened her arms and waited until Ten was close enough to pull him into a hug.

"You were so fast!" she said, rubbing his little head. "I'm so proud!"

Meanwhile, Clockwork and his parents could only watch as they hugged it out.

Coughing into his hand, Clockwork said. "Lum, who is this kid?"

"This is my cousin, Ten," Lum said, holding him in her arms. "Ten, I'd like you to meet my Darling and his parents."

Squinting, Ten looked between Clockwork and the adults.

"I don't see it." Ten said, making Clockwork laugh. "What's so funny!?"

Holding his finger up, Clockwork reverted to Ataru.

"A shapeshifter?" Ten muttered, blinking at Lum. "You said you were done with shapeshifters after…"

"I know what I said," Lum stated quickly. "But Darling is different from him."

Ten looked back, his eyes burning with suspicion.

Ataru could only raise his brow at his veiled hostility.

"So, what's a little kid like you doing here? Won't your parents be worried?" Ataru questioned him, only for Ten scoffs at him.

"About that, Darling?" Lum rubbed her head. "I left to take a call. Ten's parents have sent Ten to live with us."

"Repeat?"

"I heard that Lum found herself a good husband, so I traveled across the universe to see her." Ten glared at him. "I'm not impressed."

Shrugging, Ataru said. "I wasn't doing anything impressive, to begin with."

That only made his heated glare hotter.

"That isn't true, Ataru," Rikyu said, patting his son's back. "You fixed our house. Now, we won't have to worry about repairs."

"So, you don't have to worry. When I'm not being Omni, I'm your go-to repairman. Maybe I should get a raise?"

"Roof over your head, food on your plate, clothes on your back. Is that not enough?" Rikyu countered.

"There was a time where you were against this thing."

"If it saves money, then that's alright." He started with Hazuki nodding in agreement.

"Idiots," Ataru muttered away from his parents.

"YOU KNOW I SENSE YOUR EMOTIONS!"

"AND WE CAN HEAR YOU!"

"...Idiots."

Ten scowled as Lum giggled at their antics.

"Dumb humans."

Sighing, Ataru laid on his (& now Lum's, much to his embarrassment) futon and fiddled with the Omnitrix.

"No vibration means no crimes," Ataru mumbled to himself. "Don't know how it does that, but man is it useful."

"Sometimes, it feels like this thing knows what I want and how to deliver it." He thought, sticking his tongue out. "Still I wish the display was bigger. My dexterity is good, but it doesn't help in the middle of a fight."

"It's getting dark outside. And in that storm, only a fool would go out there." Ataru said before groaning tiredly as he sat up. "And knowing that there is going to be some idiots using this as a cover. I should go-"

"-lay on that futon," Lum stated as she walked in with Ten. "I completely agree, Darling. Especially since you look exhausted."

"Someone has to keep Tomobiki safe and that someone is Omni."

"Not when the person behind Omni has, as you humans say, one foot in the grave."

"...That means I'm dying."

Lum crossed her arms and nodded.

"Exactly. Rest is important for warriors. If you run yourself to the ground then you won't be useful to anyone."

"I get what you're saying but-"

"This human is pretty stupid." Ten interrupted, annoyed.

"No, this human is pretty stubborn," Ataru countered, much to Ten's disbelief. "Similar, but different."

Ten huffed at him before flowing towards the window.

With their eyes on Ten, Ataru changed the subject.

"So, Ten's staying here?" Ataru whispered as Lum nodded.

"His parents work a lot, so they aren't around enough to watch over him. His usual nanny is on the fritz, so they needed someone to look after him."

"The nanny quit?"

Shaking her head, Lum said, "The nanny is a robot. It was glitching pretty bad. Not exactly wise to keep it around a child. Especially a two-year-old like Ten."

"Two," Ataru blinked. "Pretty smart for a two-year-old."

"Most Oni develop faster than humans. Even so, Ten is smart for his age." Lum bragged, puffing her chest.

"And decisive," Ataru muttered before telling Lum. "That kid doesn't approve of me. Not that I care."

"Ten? Pssh," Lum waved at him. "No way."

"Don't brush it off. It's true."

Seeing no amusement on his face, Lum frowned.

"I have this feeling my family doesn't meet his standards," Ataru said. "You said it yourself. Ten might be smart, but he's still a little kid. If he acts the way I think he will, it could lead to big trouble."

"If it's true, then it might," Lum admitted reluctantly, glancing at her cousin. "My father wouldn't have accepted your proposal if he hadn't seen your skills with his own eyes."

"It was an accident." Ataru thought, kept to himself.

"On the other hand, Ten is new to Earth, more so than me. I don't want to think about it, but he'll get into big trouble if he doesn't follow the rules. M.I.B won't let him stay if he causes an incident and I'll have to leave because I'm his current guardian." Lum frowned sadly. "I don't want to leave, but I won't abandon Ten."

Looking at Ten, Ataru sighed. "You should head downstairs or something. I'm going to talk to Ten and see if we can reach an understanding."

"I thought you didn't care about his approval?"

"I don't, but you want us to get along. So, I'll give it a try." Ataru said, ignoring her smile. "Now go."

"Ten's horn allows him to breathe fire. Flight is his second horn, which hasn't grown yet," Lum whispered, before glancing at Ten as she left.

Hearing a door close, Ten turned around to see his cousin was gone.

As he went for the door, Ten was suddenly blocked by Ataru, who crossed his arms as he looked down at the infant.

Narrowing his eyes in disgust, he said. "Move it, human."

"When I'm done kid," Ataru said coldly, much to his annoyance. "I know a problem child when I see one, and you're a problem with little of the child. And do you know why?"

"Because your tiny brain is smaller than I thought?"

Shaking his head, Ataru answered, "Because you're labeling me without knowing me."

"Do I need to know trash before seeing trash?" Ten sneered. "Lum is too good for you. She's a pearl compared to a swine like you."

"Name-calling already, huh?" Ataru rolled his eyes, undaunted. "How fitting for a kid."

Unfazed by Ten's scowl, he continued. "Look, act as high and mighty as you want. You won't see me giving two craps, but Lum will. Whether you like it or not, Lum…."

Grimacing, Ataru pressed on.

"...loves me," He grimaced before frowning at Ten. "And she wants to be here. You should know that."

"That's because you did something to her!" Ten glowered at him, flames seeping from his lips. "There's no way a human could have beaten an Oni! Especially Lum!"

"Humans aren't as weak as you think. Just like how Onis aren't as powerful as you think," Ataru said calmly. "I should know-"

Snapping, Ten breathed fire at Ataru.

Changing into Water Hazard, he easily doused Ten's flames before soaking Ten with a weaker blast.

"Try that again Jariten (Bratty-ten) and you're getting a splash bath." He warned as water leaked from his hands.

"Then, don't insult Onis," Ten growled, drenched.

"If you had let me finish," Water Hazard said. "I was going to say that I've met people who were better than me. People who thought they could do whatever they wanted because everyone else wasn't at their level."

"I'm not like those weaklings. I'm an Oni, the strongest race around and humans are nothing, but filthy cowards." Ten insisted, pouting. "They told me so."

"They? Who are they?" Water Hazard asked seriously.

Scoffing, Ten crossed his arms before turning away.

"If you don't tell me," He said, staring deeply at Ten's back. "Then I will tell Lum everything you just did."

"She won't believe you. She was my cousin long before you came into her life. She'd probably leave you for attacking me. It's the right thing, after all." Ten refuted his threat, scowling.

"I wouldn't."

Ten froze once he heard that.

Turning back shakily, He found Lum behind Water Hazard, looking at him with something he'd never seen from her before.

Something he never wanted to see from her.

Disappointment.

"Especially since I was standing behind the door, listening to this," Lum knitted her brows. "Ten. Why are you acting like this? The Ten I knew was always such a good boy. Whenever your parents were busy, I'd help raise you like you were my own."

Ten could only tremble as Water Hazard crossed his arms.

Kneeling before her cousin, she stared deeply before glancing away.

"Is it my fault?" Lum asked herself, much to Ten's horror. "Am I to blame for your actions? You always looked up to me, thought of me as your hero. Did my loss disappoint you so much that you'd deeply consider Ataru as a cheater without knowing anything? Have your views of me become so low?"

"NO!" Ten cried out, tears starting to fall.

"If I'm not, then who? Why do you think so lowly of humans?" Lum asked before saying softly. "The Ten I knew would be a brat, but he'd never look down on people for their race. So, please tell us who filled your head with those ideas. You've never been to Earth and you haven't encountered Earthlings before today."

Lum placed her hands on his shoulder, as she smiled motherly at him.

"Please, Ten. Show me that you are still a good boy."

With that, Ten could only cry as he told her.

Crying like the child he was.

"And that's what happened."

"He's sleeping right now."

Sitting on the stairs, Ataru watched as Lum continued to talk with her father.

Sending a thumbs up at him, Lum replied. "Okay. You'll see what you can do. Please stop them. This grudge has been going for long enough. They shouldn't mess with their minds like that. Thank you, Dad. Love you and goodbye."

Putting the house phone down, Lum sighed tiredly and floated to her Darling.

"That was exhausting." She said, landing next to him.

"Will your father have any effect on this?" Ataru asked, to which she glanced at him.

"He's always hated how some people wouldn't let go of the old ways," Lum said before she scowled. "Sano shouldn't teach bigotry to the children, especially my cousin."

"This Sano guy is a teacher, right?"

"One of the best. Or he was one of the best." Lum said, irritated. "The failed invasion brought back bitter memories of our past. He and some teachers were spewing nonsense against your people, teaching Ten and his classmates that humans were an inferior race of cheaters. They may not be the only class who were taught his views."

"Oni don't like losing?" He guessed only for Lum to shake her head.

"More like defeat." She muttered before explaining. "Back then, the Oni were considered undefeatable. They'd never lose against anyone. They were conquerors. Winners. Their defeat by Momotaro marked the first failure in Oni history. That moment was edged into the hearts of our most powerful. The thought of our loss enrages them."

Raising his brow, Ataru mentions, "You and your father don't seem to care."

"Because we learned from our ancestors' mistakes." Then, Lum placed her head on his shoulder. "Besides, I care more about how someone acts more than where someone is from."

"Alright," He muttered, begrudgingly pleased.

"What I know is…." Lum stared worriedly at Ataru. "...are you okay? You said that you didn't care, but I hope what happened won't make you think any less of Ten. Even though Oni's children develop faster than humans, he's just a child."

Ataru stared at the ceiling.

"Racism has existed long before Quirks, and it can still be seen today. In some cases, racism has worsened with the rise of Quirks, especially Mutant-Types. Even the Quirkless face discrimination because they're different from the rest of them." Ataru stated before glancing at his palm. "People who don't understand the difference will eventually become afraid. People don't like being afraid, so it will eventually turn to hate. Those who are filled with hate will eventually spread onto others. Who, in turn, will not understand their hatred and become frightened by them. It goes on and on until all life is either united as one or killed off by prejudice. That's why I refused to be bound by that chain ever again. What good will continuing that cycle do for me? Nothing, I tell you."

"You've thought about this deeply?" Lum muttered, recalling Gunkanjima.

"Omni gains nothing from retribution. Even so, Omni is not a hero. I'm not doing this for justice or appreciation. I'm not doing this to make a difference." Ataru said, sternly. "Omni helps people because he knows that he should, regardless of what others think."

Narrowing her eyes, Lum asked. "When did this become about Omni?"

Realizing his mistake, Ataru looked away.

Sighing, Lum chose to ignore it as she got up.

"I'm going to bed," Lum said before glaring at him. "I expect you to do the same. If you don't, then I'll demonstrate the difference between an infant horn and an adolescent horn."

Rolling his eyes, Ataru propped his head against his fist.

"T-Ten."

Hearing her mumble, Ataru looked back and saw the child watching him from the top of the stairs.

"It's pretty late, Ten. You should go back to sleep." Lum asked, glancing between her cousin and her Darling.

Saying nothing, Ten kept staring at Ataru.

"What is it, Ten?" Ataru said. "If you got something to say, then say to my face."

"Darling," Lum hissed.

"You…"

They watched as he struggled to speak, his lips pressed together into a thin line.

"You….?" Ataru repeated flatly. "I can't read minds, Ten. So hurry up and tell me already."

"Darling. Please…" Lum begged silently, only to be ignored.

"You…" Ten paused and finally said. "You can do more cool things, right? Most Oni with shapeshifting can only turn into one thing. You turned into two things. Can you do more?"

Closing his eyes, Ataru said. "Maybe if you stick around and behave yourself. Then I might show you more."

Nodding, Ten glared at him.

"I can do that," Ten looked at his cousin.

"Cause Ten is a good boy."

Lum beamed brightly while Ataru looked away, hiding his smirk.

"We'll see Ten. We'll see." Ataru stood up and he climbed the stairs. "Now, let's go to bed."

"Right."

As the boys left, Lum could only giggle, feeling lighter than ever.

"Thank you, Darling," Lum whispered before following her family.

"Was that wise, sir?"

Looking away from his work, Mr. Invader raised his brow at his assistant, Shiki. He was an average two-horned Oni with combed hair, wearing a tiger-striped suit

"My decision is final. You should know that."

Gripping his digital clipboard, Shiki grimaced. "I understand that, but publicly announcing your daughter's marriage has caused unrest to spread through our people. Especially since she married a human of all things."

Throwing Shiki a quick glare, Mr. Invader grunted.

"Quick stalling, Shiki. You know how much I hate people who talk around the problem."

Shiki sighed but he complied with his boss.

"Lum is a beautiful woman. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say she's among the most beautiful women in the universe. So it's not a surprise that her admirers are against her marriage," Shiki said before wincing. "However, others are saying different."

"What are they saying?" Mr. Invader demanded slowly, raising from his desk.

Sweat pouring down his face, Shiki shivered as Oniboshi's ruler towered over him.

"W-w-w-w-w-well" Shiki muttered weakly.

"I'm waiting, Shiki."

Fearing for his life, Shiki shouted.

"THEY THINK HER MARRIAGE IS A JOKE! CONSIDERING THAT SHE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FAILED INVASION, SOME PEOPLE ARE SAYING SHE SOLD HERSELF TO AVOID PUNISHMENT!"

Almost immediately after, Shiki prepared himself for his boss to rampage, shutting his eyes tightly.

*Silence*

Any minute now.

"..."

Slowly, Shiki opened an eye and found Mr. Invader looking out the window behind his desk. Just as he was about to ease up, the office became darker, colder, until the setting sun shining through the window was the only light.

"Are you telling me that there are Oni, our people, slut-shaming my daughter?"

Like ice, Shiki was frozen by the murderous aura flowing from Mr. Invader.

This wasn't his usual fiery passion.

No.

This was Cold, Merciless Rage.

Swallowing, Shiki braced himself and said.

"I-It seems so. Thankfully, there is no more than a handful of Oni who brazenly admits it aloud. They're mainly against the idea of associating with an…" Shiki paused, finding more suitable words. "Underdeveloped species like humans. Usual xenophobia, albeit taken more…"

"The reason doesn't matter. I want these people in cells before the next sunrise. If they struggle, then I'll handle it. Personally."

Sighing, Shiki nodded tensely before going through the reports.

"There's one more thing that I thought required your attention."

"What." His boss growled deeply.

"Authorization of Planetary Traveling," Shiki said, weakly glaring at the file. "To Earth."

Turning away, Mr. Invader stared deeply at his assistant.

"And why should thatbe worth my attention?"

Showing him the file, Mr. Invader's eyebrows shot up and he collapsed into his chair with a heavy groan.

"I suddenly understand why you had to tell me." He muttered as his arm covered his eyes. "I can't stop him from leaving our planet. He's a valued member of our race. He's practically a celebrity."

"So, he can leave for Earth?" Shiki rubbed his neck. "Lum won't be thrilled. Should you warn her?"

"Why bother?" Mr. Invader sighed. "That won't stop him. Maybe this will convince him to give up?"

"Besides, I have some educators to deal with. Could you bring them, Shiki?"

Nodding, Shiki turned away.

As he left, he went over the file.
