Binding the Galaxy Together

Chapter 4 – One Stressful Morning

What were Saturdays supposed to be like for normal people? Usually they sleep in before getting up, have a cup up coffee, and then decide on a whim what to do with the rest of their day. Maybe stay in or go somewhere. Who knew? Chasing a blind teenage alien across the rooftops of Musutafu was most definitely not what either Mirko, Ryukyu, OR Nejire-Chan had expected to be doing in the early morning of the weekend.

The three of them were surrounding Camilla each of them with concerns of their own. Nejire didn't want to fight at all. She just wanted Camilla to calm down so they could talk with her. She was still shocked after seeing the ruby haired girl use some sort of telekinetic type quirk. Add that on with that landing a jump from four stories high, and then jumping up again to the top of a different building, it left just more and more to be discovered about this girl. The doctors sounded so sure when they went over her x-rays that she was quirkless. So what was this power? And how was she using it?

Ryukyu stood nearby in her dragon form trying to think of a way to resolve this peacefully. There were people down below starting their day and this could go south fast if the cards weren't played right. The look in Camilla's eyes looked like that of a cornered animal, which wasn't that far off now that she thought about it. With two pros and an intern keeping a perimeter on her, she was sure they could rein her in even if she did try to resist but how were they going to handle her once they did? They already tried the whole shtick with trying to convince her to rest and all that did was get them here. One wrong move at this point could result in people getting hurt, and by the way she was standing with that glowing green sword in her hands, those people could be them.

A scowl was openly showing on Mirko's face as she stared down the teenager with the intent to get rough if she took a swing at them with that thing she was holding. The humming noise it made didn't sound friendly at all. On one hand, Mirko could get it. She claimed she felt good enough to leave and they told her no. She's an impatient teen like most are. She could relate to that. Something just didn't sit right with her. Doctor Aoki back at the hospital just left. She had a gut feeling that Camilla here had something to do with it but she wasn't sure what it was yet. All she knew was it was morning, she was hungry, and she wanted to end this quick so she could get herself some breakfast. However looking at her closely, the rabbit hero had a slight worry that would be easier said than done. Camilla's stance and her grip on that weapon, whatever it was, led Mirko to one clear fact. She wasn't just swinging a stick around. She was trained with it.

In the middle, Camilla was looking fierce and ready to pounce in that crouching position of hers. She could feel the metal of her weapon in her palms vibrate softly from the power it was giving off and the hum filled her ears. That didn't stop her through from stretching her senses again to get a feel for everyone's emotions. Concern mostly came from the dragon and the floating girl behind her. In front of her however, anger, annoyance, and only a tinge of concern are what she could feel coming off Mirko. While none of them seemed to be threatening to her or tainted with the dark side, that didn't mean she should slouch in this fight.

"Just let me go. I truly do not wish to fight you." Camilla was the first to break the silence.

It was followed shortly by an irritated Mirko.

"The way you're holding that thing says otherwise." She retorted. "And we told you. We can't just let you roam about."

"Camilla, please! We promise we're not trying anything funny! Just put that thing down and we can talk! We all swear!" Nejire once again desperately tried to call out to the girl still wearing her hood.

All Camilla did was release a sigh. This was getting her nowhere. She didn't have time to standoff against three strangers she just met hours ago. Her ship was waiting for her. She could sense that Nejire was telling the truth but too much aggression was coming off Mirko to assure that would happen. If she had to go through them in order to reach her ship, then she would do so. She stepped to strike. Mirko did the same.

*Ssshhhhhhhhp!*

Then Mirko stopped looking all sorts of confused as the green rod sticking out of that tube just shrunk back into it. Then she returned it to the side of her belt where it snapped back onto its clip. What the hell was she doing now? Looking again at Camilla's face, she saw the cloaked girl had a look of fear on her face as she turned and looked behind her, pointing her finger just past Nejire.

"What is happening over there?"

While Ryukyu and Nejire actually turned their heads, Mirko kept her eyes locked on the girl in front of her, not buying it. She stood back up straight and began to close the gap with the intent to take her back to the hospital.

"You really think we're gonna fall for the oldest trick in the book, kid? Get real."

"No look!"

Nejire was the one pointing now and that got Mirko to take a glance. All three of them could see it. There was a small cloud of smoke rising up over the rooftops a few streets over. That only meant one thing. There was trouble and a hero was needed.

"I'm moving in to survey the situation!" Ryukyu immediately flapped her wings and took off towards the danger. "Nejire-Chan, you're with me! Mirko stay with Camilla!"

"HEY!"

Nejire turned and flew off with her mentor while Mirko was waving her arms clearly not happy with that arrangement.

"You can't just stick me on babysitting duty!" she yelled after the dragon.

It was too late. Ryukyu and Nejire were both out of earshot. The rabbit hero just gave a "humph" and crossed her arms as she glared down at Camilla.

"Great. Just great. Now I'm stuck with you while they get to have all the-HEY! GET BACK HERE!"

Looking back down expecting to see Camilla right in front of her like she was before, Mirko instead saw the human alien running in a full sprint towards the edge of the roof and in the direction where Ryukyu and Nejire were headed. Mirko took off in chase yet again expecting to stop her before she hit the ledge. She was too late however. Once Camilla reached the edge of the roof, rather than fall because she couldn't see where she was going, she jumped.

She jumped so high with one bound she arced clear over the street and landed nicely on the roof on the other side. Then she kept running leaving a gawking Mirko in her trail. Picking her jaw back up after getting a good look at her jump for the first time, the rabbit hero shook her head out of her daze and began to back up.

"I knew I should have filed to switch shifts with Hawks!"

She took off in a sprint and with a mighty push of her extraordinary legs she leapt perfectly over the street in pursuit of the ruby haired alien. Her metal feet cracked the rooftop floor a bit when she landed and she kept running. Camilla was only one building ahead of her but Mirko had some speed and not just hop in her legs. She could close the gap.

Though Camilla sure wasn't going to just let it happen. Her senses were ringing like a phone to her ear as she ran closer to where she could tell it was coming from. Another jump, another city street beneath her feet before landing on the next building. She repeated this one more time and came to a stop at the opposite side. She could smell smoke. And…..something else. Burning fuel?

"HEEEEEELP!"

Screams. That was all she needed to hear. Right as Mirko was about to grab her from behind, Camilla stepped off the ledge and let herself fall. The cloak she had on flapped and snapped against the wind as she fell. When she got closer to the ground, she unleashed her power again. This time she used it on herself to slow her fall down considerably before her feet hit the floor. She pushed past the crowd and near the source of the flames and the screams. A burning car still had its driver trapped inside of it.

"CRAP!"

Camilla turned around and whipped a hand back to her weapon. But to her surprise, Mirko hopped right past her and towards the car.

"Hang on!"

Camilla couldn't believe it. She was beyond confused. Mirko just gave her up to go after the guy in danger? Why? Mere seconds ago she could sense the hero was obsessed with catching her. What changed? Was it the danger in front of her? The person still inside the car? Whatever it was, Camilla's thoughts about the rabbit person were starting to shift around in all sorts of directions.

She heard the sound of metal crunching as Mirko used her strength to rip the car door off its hinges and slide the driver out of the car. The first thing the pro hero noticed was the man she pulled out was clutching the side of his left arm and blood was seeping through his fingers. The man himself had very short black hair wearing a white dress shirt with a black tie and pants though there was a big red stain now on his left arm right where his other hand was clenched around it.

"Ah dammit!"

Mirko looked left and right to see no first responders or anyone that looked like a doctor anywhere near her.

"Sir, just stay as still as you can. I'm gonna call an ambulance." Mirko assured him.

Her tone wasn't very soothing as Ryukyu's or someone like that, but knowing there was help coming was enough to make the man in her arms nod as she began to reach for her phone.

"Is it bad?"

She froze. For some reason Mirko just froze with her phone in her hand, and the injured man in the other while she looked up to see Camilla standing in front of her, still wearing her hood over her head. She still had all intention to catch her when she was done but for now her priority was with the hurt guy while Ryukyu and Nejire were still out there.

"What the hell do you mean?" she asked.

"His injury."

The young cloaked teen knelt down in front of her and directed her gaze down to the man himself.

"Is it bad?" she repeated.

Now it was Mirko's turn to be confused as she finally realized something. Why was she still here? With herself preoccupied with this guy, Camilla had every chance to bolt and get as far away from her as possible. So why was she staying? This man's injury? What of it?

The man himself was the one to answer her. He opened his eyes to look at the girl kneeling in front of Mirko. Thanks to the clothes on her body and the hood around her head, he couldn't tell what age she was.

"Some glass from my window busted and cut my arm. It went pretty deep."

Inching herself closer, Camilla ran her hand up the man's left arm and stopped when she felt his fingers around it.

"Right here?"

"Uh-huh." The man grunted.

Nodding, Camilla reached for her belt and opened up one of the pouches on the right side. Her fingers dug around for a moment before they pulled out one of the vials of unknown blue liquid Mirko saw before.

"Hey what are you doing, kid?"

"This is going to help him."

Her other hand rested on the man's that was covering his wound.

"Sir, I'm gonna need you to remove your hand. When you do, I'm gonna inject you with this. I promise it will only sting for a second before it starts to work."

Mirko's head was spinning again. Did she just say she was going to inject him with whatever that blue gel was?

"Kid what is that stuff gonna do?"

"It's going to heal him."

The young girl said that with no hesitation and a very sure tone like she knew exactly what was going to happen. Mirko would have protested. In fact on any other day she would have just snatched the vial from Camilla's hand and throw it away, telling her to get lost and let the authorities come and do things their way. But whatever caused this was still out there and Ryukyu and her intern probably needed help. The sooner this guy got some, the sooner she could go after them.

"Fine. Just do it."

For the injured man, he wasn't sure about this whole thing. But if anything was certain in this world, it was that civilians trusted heroes with their lives. So when Mirko brought a hand to his to help him lift it away, he had no problem letting her do so. With his wound exposed, Camilla moved removed the cover from the needle on the vial and moved it to the man's arm. After a small countdown, she placed the needle into his arm and gave a small press into his skin. The fluid within seeped out and into his body quite rapidly before it was emptied. When it was, Camilla pulled it away.

When the man felt the prick enter his arm, a sharp hiss was heard through his grit teeth. It certainly did sting, the girl was at least telling the truth there. Just a mere moment later however, the pain stopped and was replaced with a cooled feeling. Almost as if someone had placed an ice pack on his arm. Looking over, both he and Mirko could see the blue stuff, whatever it was, was doing what most healing quirks took much longer to do. The gel like substance was seen seeping into the cut but the man didn't seem to respond painfully to it. Then it began to somehow reseal the man's flesh with no effort at all and stop the bleeding. Mirko was worried that she made a mistake by letting the girl do this. Those worries were snuffed out when the wound began to vanish. A matter of moments later, and the wound was closed. The only evidence there ever was one was the tear in the man's shirt and the bloodstains around it.

Running his hand over his arm, the man was giving off a happy laugh as he felt one hundred percent better faster than he thought he would.

"Thank you!" He turned to Camilla and bowed his head. "Thank you so much!"

"It was nothing." The ruby haired alien replied calmly.

As Mirko stood up she kept her head down looking at Camilla with her thoughts running on overdrive. What was that stuff? How did it do that? What other surprises did this alien have that she hadn't seen yet? Were there even anymore? She opened her mouth to ask Camilla about the fluid.

*RING RING RING!*

Her phone cut her off. Snapping her head to the screen, Mirko saw Ryukyu's name show up on it making her immediately press the answer button.

"What's going on?" She asked hoping the cause was found.

"It's an armored truck robbery." Ryukyu asked. "The suspect headed north on Geonosis street. He's also firing off gunshots to try and get myself and Nejire-Chan off his tail. We don't know what his quirk is yet."

Camilla's head perked up.

"Geonosis street." Mirko came back. "I'll be there soon."

"Geonosis?" Camilla wondered aloud.

Mirko hung up and looked back down to the girl and shrugged.

"Let's go."

This caught the teen by surprised. Mirko could see it when she looked up at her.

"You want me to go with you?"

"Crap no!" Mirko said a little louder than she meant to. "But I sure as hell can't let you out of my sight. So come with me or I'll just drag you along by your arm."

"I had no intention of resisting." Camilla rose up to her feet. "Where there is a crazed man with a gun, I should be there too."

Another glare came from Mirko pointed right for the alien girl.

"Don't get any ideas, Martian Girl. You may have fixed that guy's arm but that doesn't give you a free pass. We have rules here and the rule for you now is you stay out of our way. Now come on!"

The rabbit hero turned her tail to Camilla and began to sprint away. One hop from her legs later and she was soaring upwards towards the top of a nearby building. Camilla took off after her in show of speed and hopped right after the rabbit woman with a power of her own. As they left, the civilians watching from behind gave a small applause and a few cheers for Mirko as well as the cloaked person with her.

Over on Geonosis Street, an armored truck filled with money and a little insurance in the back was speeding and turning like crazy to avoid any cars in his way in an attempt to shake to two heroes above him. Ryukyu in her dragon form, and Nejire-Chan right besides her being propelled by her own quirk.

"How do we stop this guy without putting anyone in danger?" Nejire wondered. "I can't get a clear shot with my spiral blasts! If they were straight, maybe I could. But not spiral!"

Ryukyu also had the same problem being worked in her head. Her dragon form was useful but in a crowded street like this, landing would do more harm than good. Maybe if she could get in close she could grab it with her feet like she did last night with Camilla's ship. Her scales could take the brunt of the gunshots.

"Nejire-Chan, stay behind me! I'm going low!"

The dragon began to descend below the rooftops of the buildings she was flying between. Nejire made sure to stay behind her like instructed. Thankfully they were on a part of the street where it was a straightaway with no turns until a bit up the way. That gave Ryukyu time to get in close and put her giant foot underneath the truck's roof. When she tried to make a grab for it, the driver jerked to the left. She tried again. He skidded over to the right. How this guy was avoiding all these cars around him was a testament of driving skill. Clearly he had done this before. But Ryukyu didn't have enough time for this. If this guy really thought robbing a bank in broad daylight and think he could get away like this, then odds are he wasn't very sharp in wits. So Ryukyu opted for a simple strategy. The psyche out. She raised her foot over the truck once again and jerked it forward to make it look like she was gonna try grabbing it again. But she didn't. When the driver made a hard left, Ryukyu's other foot came down and her toes clenched around the metal of the truck. Then she flapped her wings and began to lift the truck off the ground.

"Nejire-Chan! Go under and get him out of there!"

Wasting not even a moment, Nejire complied with her mentor's orders and moved her way down underneath her dragon body and towards the truck. She then maneuvered her way under the truck and up to the driver's side door. Playfully she knocked on the window.

"Aren't there better things you can do with your weekend?"

Finally she got a good look at this guy. He was very tall and muscular. He had on a solid black beanie with a matching tank top, leaving his shoulders and the crosshair tattoos on them bare. His blue jeans and black boots moved with the rest of his body as he tried to kick the door open and hit the hero with it. Nejire just barely avoided getting hit but then a loud bang was heard like a gunshot. That was weird to Nejire. She didn't see a gun in his hands. Then she looked at his shoulders. It looked like the skin was closing. Nejire put it together. That's where the bullets were coming from. The center of his tattoo and he had an identical one on his other shoulder to match.

Moving out the door a bit, the villain was able to get his right shoulder pointed at Ryukyu and fired a few more bullets for her face while his other shoulder pointed right for Nejire and fired some of her too. Nejire headed upwards to avoid them but Ryukyu was not so lucky. A few of the bullets hit close to her face causing her grip on the truck to slip. The truck fell back to the ground and the driver was just barely able to get back inside and close the door before it did. When it impacted the street, the truck turned out of control causing it to tip over and start barrel rolling through the street. The cars in front of it frantically jerked to the side to avoid getting hit by it and luckily everyone was able to before it stopped rolling and settled on its side. Ryukyu landed behind it with Nejire-Chan next to her. A twister of dust whirled around the dragon for a few moments before it vanished and Ryukyu was back in her human body again.

"Approach slowly. He could still be conscious."

She was proven correct as not a second later, the back door of the truck flew open. The shoulder tattooed villain was seen coming out of it with a female bank teller tied at the waist.

"Oh no! He has a hostage!" Nejire cried.

"Damn." Ryukyu muttered. "This just got serious."

She had to try and talk the villain down.

"Let the hostage go! The police will be surrounding you any moment! You have nowhere to run!"

"I don't care about that!" The villain yelled back to the two heroes.

A thud was heard near Nejire and Ryukyu. The younger of the two looked and saw Mirko had landed on the other side of the street and noticed the situation had turned into what it was now. Mirko was more than ready to kick some villain ass but now that there was a hostage, she couldn't move, lest she risked this lady getting her brains blown out on the asphalt.

"You freakin heroes never think about us! The lower end of this society! Why do you think we do things like this?! Because we have nothing left to lose! Well now I'm taking what you owe me and I will kill this bitch to make sure you do so!"

This was turning bad fast. They had to find some way to get this woman to safety but that was looking to be easier said than done. None of the present heroes' quirks were suited for that. One move and that shoulder tattoo would fire another bullet and the teller was done.

"Tell us what you want, dirt bag." Mirko reluctantly gave into listening to the crook's demands.

The villain smiled, liking way too much the feeling of having the heroes on the ropes like this.

"You know what I was thinking? I was thinking more along the lines of a working car and free passage out of the city with my new friend here. But now that I think about it, I'm thinking that's not what needs to happen here."

None of the three present heroes liked the way this was going.

"Nothing every really shakes you unless someone gets hurt. So let's see how it shakes the three of you."

The bank teller looked and saw a hole in the villain's shoulder open up right in the center of those crosshairs. She let out a frightened scream which caused Mirko, Ryukyu and Nejire to freeze upon realizing this woman was about to die. They moved to strike first before the shot could get off.

*BANG!*

It was too late though. Not even a step could be taken before the villain let out another gunshot aimed right for the teller's head. All three heroes watched the scene frozen with fear that someone had died right in front of them. Not to mention there was a lot of people gathering near the sidewalk, much closer than they probably should have been. All of them seeing this and then posting it on the net would cause many problems down the road for all three present heroes. They would spend months recovering from this and Ryukyu feared it would be a black mark on Nejire's reputation as a student of U.A. She might never recover from it.

One glance later, and she realized she didn't have to worry about that.

Rather than feel the woman's body go slack in his grip upon getting shot, the villain was confused when he could still feel her muscles tense and firm. Looking to his side, he saw the reason why. The teller was still alive with no hole in her head. Then…where was the bullet?

It was right there in front of his shoulder where it was fired from. Only it was frozen in midair.

"You're filled with so much anger."

That voice answered all the questions at once. At least for the three who recognized it. Turning to look behind up, the villain looked through the back of the armored truck and out the windshield to see some unknown person in some weird clothes and a hooded cloak with her arm outstretched. Her hand's invisible grip loosened and the bullet fell right to the ground. Then her arm slowly swiped from right to left. As she made that motion, the armored truck began to lift on its own, turning back onto its wheels. With some strained and a small grunt, the girl finished the motion and the truck thudded back into its right side up position. There was now nothing between her and this villain.

"Okay. I was not this strong a couple days ago. Whatever type of Force energy is bathing this world is also giving my abilities a boost."

Shelving that thought for another time, Camilla refocused herself back to the armed villain. The shoulder gun man was stunned for only a moment before he regained his focus as well and tightened his grip on his hostage. He adjusted his position so that his back wasn't turned to any of them, but one of his shoulders now had a direct line of fire at either them or his hostage.

"That's a neat quirk you got there. But I'm warning you. One wrong move and this girl will die!"

The poor bank teller was whimpering in fear hoping the heroes would do something. Ryukyu, Nejire, and Mirko were all scrambling to think of an idea before but now their panic was replaced with a new feeling. That was curiosity. Upon seeing Camilla literally stop a bullet with whatever this power of hers was, and then lift an armored truck back to its upright position, they were all curious to see what she would do next. Granted there was still an innocent person still in danger and they were trying to think of a way to rescue her. Not to mention this young girl had no license and was not authorized in any way to do what she was currently doing. But they were the only ones who knew that she didn't fully grip why that was.

Mirko was crouched down, trying to sneak closer behind some cars in the way to try and get the drop on this guy. Looking through the windows, it seemed the villain's attention was focused more on Camilla than the actual pros there. That was good. If he was distracted then maybe he wouldn't see it coming.

"Please let her go. I can assure you that killing her will do more harm than good for you at this point."

"As if, girlie. I don't know what kind of crap these hero bitches have been feeding you but let me tell ya. If you know what's good for ya, you'll turn around and let me drive back out of here."

Camilla didn't waiver in her stance. She stood there and kept talking to him with a clam tone while at the same time sensing a familiar rabbit inching closer.

"You're angry. I can feel it overpowering your thoughts. That is why you won't win today."

As if to prove her right, the villain snarled and turned his body 180 degrees. Now the hostage was pointed faced in the direction of Ryukyu and Nejire whole the other shoulder was aimed right at the hooded girl.

"SHUT UP! YOU DON'T KNOW A DAMN THING ABOUT ME! JUST DIE, HERO!"

*BANG!*

The shot was fired far sooner than anyone had anticipated. The three heroes looked on in shock while all the civilians nearby who were recording with their phones ducked down expecting someone to get hit.

*PSSSSHHHHEEEEW!*

*PEW*

Rather than the sound of a body hitting the floor like the villain expected to happen, instead, he and the heroes looked at the cloaked person with her red metal weapon back in her hands, and the green blade held across her body as if she were in a defensive stance.

"What the…?"

The villain was at a loss for words. This wasn't supposed to happen! Gunshots were supposed to hit! Angrily he fired off three more shots!

*BANG! BANG! BANG!*

*PEW! PEW! PEW!*

With three precise swings, Camilla used her weapon to block every shot that was fired at her, leaving the villain and the heroes stunned again.

"Did she just deflect gunshots?" Nejire wondered aloud.

"Yes….yes she did." Ryukyu was beyond impressed.

Mirko who was also watching closely looked on with a bit of a shock herself. She was definitely blind. That much was confirmed. But how was a blind girl doing all this? Just what sort of power or quirk did she possess that allowed her all this free range?

"I think we've had enough fun. Apologies for this ma'am."

Camilla's last sentence was directed towards the bank teller hostage as she held one of her arms up getting ready to push.

"Wha….apologies for whaaaaaAAAAAAAAHHHH!"

The next thing the teller knew, she was pushed violently out of the villain's grip and up sailed right up into the air.

"Now, Mirko!"

The rabbit hero smirked liking this kid's style. With the opening she head, she hopped onto the roof of the car she was hiding behind and leaped forward. She easily caught the hostage with a somersault and landed on her metal feet, placing her down amongst the crowd and undoing her ropes. The people began to applaud but the fight wasn't quite over yet.

"He's all yours, Nejire-Chan! Take him!" Ryukyu ordered.

"Right!"

Wave Motion flared back to life again and Nejire took off right for the villain.

"No! I'm not going down like this!"

Both the villain's tattoos began to open up again readying more gunshots in whatever direction they happened to be facing. But he couldn't even get a single shot off before the two younger girls rushed him from both sides. Camilla had her sword at the ready and Nejire was preparing a blast of her own quirk to counter.

"LEFT! NOW!"

Camilla called out to Nejire and the girl immediately followed on, realizing what was coming.

*BANG!*

Two shots fired simultaneously to the younger girls but they both dodged them and rolled to the side. Camilla rolled to the ground on her right and Nejire barrel-rolled to the left in midflight. The two of them slid on the ground until they were right next to each other.

"Final shot is all yours, Miss Nejire."

"Cool."

Raising her right arm, Nejire let loose a blast of Wave Motion energy and the spiral blast hid the villain dead in the center of his chest. The shoulder gunned man was sent harshly crashing into the side of the truck. Not enough to dent it but enough to render the villain unconscious when his head hit the metal.

With the villain down for the count, Camilla stood back up and held her weapon in front of her body with the blade pointed straight up. She pressed the button and the blade retracted into the hilt.

*Ssshhhhhhhhp!*

The hum coming from the blade stopped and she returned the weapon to its clip on her belt. The next thing Camilla knew, she found herself in a tight grip from Nejire. At first she thought the young hero was trying to drag her away but rather she just stood there holding her in a tight embrace.

"Holy wow that was awesome! How did you do all that?! Was it your quirk?! Because the doctors all said you didn't have one! Oh and you're-"

"SHHHH!"

A shushing noise came from Camilla's lips as her glazed eyes looked into Nejire's through her hood.

"There are people around. Keep it quiet."

Nejire quickly remembered she was right. With a motion of zipping her lips shut and a soft "Okay.", the two of them walked towards Ryukyu who was busy getting the villain to sit upright against the armored truck. Not long after, the police began to flood the scene with cars, and a chopper above the buildings surveying the crime. Mirko rejoined the group of heroes as some of the cops came in with gear to suppress and confine the villain, making a point to shield his shoulders so he couldn't use his quirk.

Then out of one of the cars stood a very annoyed looking detective who was looking right at the girl who still had her hood over her head. Tsukauchi approached with a pair of handcuffs in his grip ready to take the girl in and looking quite peeved.

"Alright Miss Sharro it's time for you to-"

"Detective, stop!"

Ryukyu's sharp tone caused the man in the trench coat to freeze in place and stare at the dragoon hero.

"These people are all safe and unharmed because of her. Not us. We barely had anything to do with it. This was all Camilla."

Nejire was happily nodding to confirm what Ryukyu said to be the truth. Then he looked over to Mirko to see if she would offer another point of view. She wasn't angry anymore. She had her arms crossed and she actually looked rather impressed.

"Gotta admit; she did alright. Barely any property damage too."

On that comment, Tsukauchi stepped in a circle to take another look around the immediate area. What both heroes said turned out to be true. All the nearby civilians were unharmed and the damage done to the streets and a few of the store windows were nothing short of easy fixes. All in all, Camilla had done an excellent job stopping the villain and ensuring the safety of the people like any hero would do.

That didn't mean she was off the hook though.

"Regardless of how well a job she did, I still need to take her in. Setting aside some certain things we all know, she still committed an act of vigilantism on top of running away from the hospital. What needs to happen now-"

"I'm gonna stop you right there, detective."

Tsukauchi looked down at the teenager a bit surprised she was interrupting him. Mirko, Nejire, and Ryukyu grew a tad nervous as they were afraid Camilla was going to run again. Instead however, the girl just turned around and beckoned for the four of them to follow her.

"Let's make sure no one hears me."

Remembering they were still in the middle of a public street, the detective and three heroes agreed with her and followed her into a nearby alley that was clear of people. Luckily the reporters and citizens were focused on getting some good photos of the villain getting loaded into the police van so getting away while sneaky, was manageable. When it was safe, Camilla spoke again.

"I'm not going with you."

Tsukauchi opened his mouth again but the girl raised her hand to cut him off.

"Let me finish." She said with a stern tone. "This is how this is going to work. I will give you every answer to every question you throw my way. I'll cooperate with you in whatever way you want me to so long as it's within reason. I give you my word. However none of that, and I mean none of that, is going to happen if you don't start cooperating with me in return. I will not allow a single a question to be asked until one of you, I don't care which one, takes me to my damn ship."

Tsukauchi didn't even need to activate his quirk to know this girl was telling the truth when she spoke. He could hear it in her voice. The three heroes had a couple different reactions. Mirko had her arms crossed again peeved off that this kid was trying to tell her what to do and not negotiating. However it could not be denied that Camilla's intentions here were not hostile by any means. With the power she displayed just now she probably could have hurt a lot of people but she chose not to. Instead she chose to help. Even when she had a clear chance to get away from the people chasing her, she stayed because an injured person needed immediate help. Needless to say, but Mirko was impressed by the blind girl's drive, even if she still had no idea how her power worked.

Nejire just nodded finding Camilla's demands to be reasonable. She had only met the girl a matter of minute sago but seeing what she could do was so cool! It was definitely worthy of being an example of her school's motto; Plus Ultra! She didn't deserve to be carted away and kept in some weird government confinement. No way!

Ryukyu stood still thinking about it. Camilla sure was dead set on getting to her ship for some unknown reason. And she said earlier at the hospital that she needed to get something out of it. After what she just saw the girl do, and go as far as jump out the window to go and do it, she was at first scared as to what else or who else she would go through to.

Seeing her out in the streets just now though shifted Ryukyu's and thoughts. Camilla's actions since pointing out the smoke were nothing short of heroic. She acted swiftly and used her power well to ensure no one got hurt, and no major damage occurred. When she saved that woman from her captor, she did so with a plan in mind and it worked perfectly. Almost as if she was used to it. All of that pointed to one thing. Camilla wasn't going to be a problem. She may have acted in a crime scene without a hero license, but she was definitely no villain and didn't deserve to be treated as such.

"Alright." Ryukyu gave her answer.

Mirko, Tsukauchi, and Nejire all looked to the dragoon hero with weary, surprised, and happy expressions respectively.

"Ryukyu, are you sure that's-"

"I trust her, detective." Ryukyu said flatly before giving Camilla a soft smile. "After what we just saw, I don't think I have a reason not to."

It was Camilla's turn to give a small smile as she nodded to Ryukyu.

"Thank you." She murmured. "Is it far from here?"

"Actually it's funny you should say that." Mirko took over. "The warehouse where it's being held is just around the corner."

To confirm that theory, Camilla reached into the pouch on her belt which carried her holo-disk. Double pressing again, the beeps came to her in a rapid succession instead of the spaced intervals she was getting before. The tracking beacon was telling her she was indeed close to her ship.

"Then shall we go?"

Before she got an answer, Tsukauchi looked out the alleyway to see a plethora of people and reporters flooding the scene of the crime just ready for more pictures and comments.

"Let's go this way." He said pointing into the alley. "We'll be able to avoid the press."

All four females nodded, agreeing with that idea. As they walked, Nejire went into another round of questions asking the ruby haired girl just how she was able to do that. But Camilla waved her off and promised to explain things once she got back to her ship and looked over the damage.

If only she knew just what lay in store for her here on this world.
