Chapter 22 – Assessments and Erasures

For Izuku, saying he was surprised he was accepted into the hardest course to get into for the hardest school to get into would be the understatement of the century. As he sat in his house, crying in utter joy at the results, he thought about what now lied ahead of him. His high school career was going to be at none other than U.A. High, the alma mater of so many great heroes which included All Might himself. Not only that, but two of his classmates were going to include Ochako and Camilla, the latter being the first blind, quirkless, and alien student to ever get into the school. He took a moment to think about that last part. For so long he had read old comics from the past and modern day that featured alien characters that resembled human beings. When he was a kid he thought it was so cool to imagine that life beyond the stars could resemble them and could even be heroes too. Never in his wildest dreams did he think his high school class would be the first step into making that a reality. Not only that, All Might himself was going to be the new heroics class teacher sending Izuku's poor mind into overdrive.

Speaking of All Might, a little bit after Izuku hung up with Ochako and Camilla, the number one hero finally sent him a message telling him to meet up at Dagobah Beach. Throwing a jacket and his shoes on, the newest bearer of One For All ran from his home to the beach as quickly as he could to see his mentor for the first time in a week. So many questions he wanted to ask him. About this new power, about his status as a teacher, the list went on but he had to condense them into just a couple. He knew their time tonight was probably going to be brief.

On the sands of Dagobah Beach, the symbol of peace stood in the space where once an entire junkyard's worth of garbage occupied it. A week later and he still couldn't believe his eyes. Before that day, no one would even think to come near this place thanks to the smell. Now little by little people were starting to discover it and flock to it as a regular hangout spot. There were even some couples out for a stroll on the beach and another admiring the view out on the pier nearby. It was all thanks to that scrawny kid he had met ten months ago. Though he wasn't scrawny anymore, he still did have a long way to go. But All Might couldn't help but feel proud and happy with his choice of a successor every time he saw this place.

"HEY ALL MIGHT!"

Tensing up, the number one pro whipped around to see the green haired teen approach him on the beach.

"All Might? Where?!"

"Is he really here?"

Those voices came from the couple on the pier who heard Izuku's shout. All Might kept his gaze locked on the boy before him.

"I go around like this to not get noticed, kid! Say it was a mistake!" He whispered.

Immediately realizing his blunder, Izuku waved his arms over to the pier to make sure the couple saw him.

"Sorry! My bad! I was just seeing things!" He shouted.

"Aw man! Thanks a lot, kid! I was excited!"

"Yeah I wanted an autograph!"

Both student and mentor breathed a sigh of relief as that pacified the two strangers. Once they recollected themselves, All Might aimed a pleased smile towards his young successor.

"Now that I have a chance to say it in person, here it is. Congratulations on getting in."

He held up a hand for Izuku and the boy slapped his own palm against it with a smile.

"Also I think it's important you know this. You earned that spot all on your own. I wasn't one of the judges scoring you, I didn't pull a single string in your favor, and no one knows that I trained you."

That brought a lot of joy and a huge confidence boost to the boy. To know it wasn't luck that got him into U.A. felt like a huge weight off his shoulders. Then again as Camilla always says, "There's no such thing as luck, just the will of the Force." It was a saying he was starting to believe in more and more as his knowledge about the Jedi order increased. He turned his attention back to All Might as he recalled what was said on the hologram.

"I had no idea you were going to be a teacher at U.A. this year. Though I guess in hindsight it makes sense. I was wondering why you came here in the first place. Your agency is based in Minato Tokyo which everybody knows is-"

"Approaching creepy again, kid."

Thankfully that did the trick to silence Izuku before he devolved into nonstop muttering again. At this point, All Might was able to tell the signs of that happening. Usually he'd just let the boy go on for a few more moments but he had a few more things to say.

"Sorry about keeping that from you and the girls. The school didn't want anyone to know about me being a new teacher until an official announcement was made. I even had to sign an NDA and everything."

"An NDA?" Izuku tilted his head confused.

"A Non-Disclosure Agreement." All Might clarified. "You know how when an actor signs on to be in a big movie, they have to sign a contract saying they won't tell anyone about it until the studio announces it? It's a lot like that."

The skinny form of the number one pro hero turned around to gaze up at the night sky as he kept talking and Izuku was listening closely.

"It was great timing really. With my power's decline speeding up, taking the role of a teacher at the most prestigious hero academy seemed like the perfect way to seek out an inheritor for One For All."

Those words triggered a memory in Izuku from ten months ago. It was the day he and All Might first met. In his shrunken form, All Might told Izuku that he had been on a long hunt for a successor. Suddenly it clicked. That's the whole reason All Might came here in the first place. He was going to originally give One For All to a U.A. student, one who already had a quirk of their own to go along with it. Then the sludge villain incident happens and everything shifted in a new direction for the both of them.

Even though All Might had given him plenty of assurances about how he was the right choice for a successor, Izuku still couldn't help but feel now like he cheated a lot of people at U.A. out of a great honor. Ochako, Camilla, even Katsuki he felt would be a better fit for this power. After all, look at what happened when he tried to use it.

"What am I supposed to do?" Izuku asked his mentor almost desperately. "I only made one jump and threw one punch with One For All, and it ended up breaking three of my limbs. All Might…how am I supposed to control it? Are you sure you made the right choice with me?"

Looking down, All Might could see the doubt behind Izuku's eyes. It turns out even passing the entrance exam and inheriting this quirk still didn't fully curb the incredibly low self esteem he still had in him. He was doing better. Having actual friends and support helped with that but it was clear that it would be a while before he really started to have a higher opinion of himself, power or no power.

"Young man, I told you that you can become a hero and I meant it. The choice of who inherits One For All is left entirely to the bearer. No one else. I chose you because you do have what it takes. So don't be so hard on yourself."

He turned back around so he could look his student dead in the eyes.

"You've only had this power for a week. I don't expect you to fully master it right away. That would be worlds of unfair. You need to take it at your own pace and give your body time to get used to it. I know that might sound like a tall order considering your friends but think about it. They were once in the same place you are now when they were kids; learning about their power. Now it's your turn. I wouldn't have chosen you to bear One For All if I didn't think you were up for it."

Izuku took a moment to let the words sink in. Even after nearly a year of being the apprentice to All might himself, hearing him sing such praises and talk about his faith in him still nearly moved him to tears. However, in that mountain of praise, there was one thing about it that stuck out.

"Wait a second. Are you saying you knew I was going to hurt myself that badly if I used it?!"

Seeing All Might sheepishly rub the back of his head like a child caught in the cookie jar still surprised Izuku every time he saw it.

"Well…I did warn you over the phone that the backlash could be bad didn't I? We were on a time crunch. Besides, Recovery Girl got you healed up all fresh and new so don't worry about it."

He took a moment to recollect himself as he noticed some discarded cans on the beach and picked them up.

"The point is, right now your body is currently overflowing with energy, even when you're not using your power. Right now you can either use none of it or all of it. But with time and training, you'll be able to contain it a lot better and differentiate power levels whenever you want."

As if to demonstrate, All Might's fist enlarged and the cans inside them were crushed as the bulky body of the number one hero stood before Izuku.

"Then this power will truly be yours!"

Izuku stood there hanging off All Might's every word. When he was done, he steeled his face and came to the conclusion that he was right. He shouldn't be putting himself down because he was a few steps behind his friends. He worked this hard already to get himself fit enough to inherit One For All. He could do it again to control it. This time he really didn't have a choice. The gap between him and his new classmates was gonna be wide going in but he could close it.

"Oh my gosh! It really is All Might!"

The voices from those two people who were still on the pier caused both Izuku and All Might to nearly fall over even though they were standing still.

"Right! Now we run!"

All Might took off immediately down the beach and Izuku was right on his tail to escape the sight of any pedestrians. As they ran, All Might had a funny thought.

"Besides, it's probably best you of all people got One For All. Could you imagine someone like young Sharro having her power receive such an immense boost?"

At first it did seem kind of funny. Enough for Izuku to let out a chuckle anyway. But then he really thought about that scenario. He was told by Camilla herself exactly what she did during her entrance exam and how she did it. Quickly that feeling of amusement turned to fear as he realized just how much more could have happened if One For All was added into her already powerful Force abilities. She wouldn't just be juiced up more than she already was, she'd practically be a monster in the body of a teenage girl.

"I can and that's scary!"

All Might took a moment to think about it too and ended up agreeing with him. They kept running down the beach together and his eyes kept glancing back at him every now and again to look upon the budding hero.

'Young Midoriya, passing along this sacred flame to you was the first real step I've taken into putting All Might to bed forever. I'll be able to keep going for a while but now my power will be fading much faster. Soon I will have no choice but to retire and my job as the symbol of peace will be over. And I know that when that day comes you and your friends will be ready to shine even brighter than I ever have before.'

Even though their spots in U.A. were now confirmed, Izuku and Ochako still had to finish out their final year in middle school before they could take them fully. For Ochako, the first day back at school was pretty uneventful save for people congratulating her when she told them she had gotten in. Most of her friends were ecstatic and asking a whole bunch of questions on what she had to do for the exam and how hard it was for her. Some of them even said they would miss her as she went on to become a hero. Overall, it was a good if boring day.

Izuku could not have been any more on the opposite end of that spectrum.

While Ochako may miss her middle school when she leaves it, Izuku was internally wishing he could be anywhere but here. From the second Katsuki walked into the classroom, the explosive boy shot his ex friend a death glare and held it for what seemed to be an eternity. Izuku was all but certain if there were no teachers anywhere nearby, Katsuki would have literally blown his head off. Then again, the teachers were so lazy here they probably wouldn't even care if it happened. All throughout the day, he could feel his temper stay at a constant high degree. Izuku didn't dare say a word to him at the risk of setting him off. Even when school was done for the day, his troubles weren't over. The principal called both Izuku and Katsuki into his office to offer them congratulations on getting into U.A. Then he went on a speech about how it was a miracle the green haired teen made it in. Izuku wished he would stop because that only seemed to make Katsuki even angrier.

When they were finally allowed to leave, Izuku only made it out the front door by two steps before he was grabbed roughly by his shoulders and dragged off to the side of the building. Yup. This was happening. Katsuki's mood had reached its boiling point and now it was time to take the lid off. As the blonde teen slammed Izuku's back against the brick wall of the school, the boy ignored the pain while his eyes trailed from the hands gripping his collar up to the livid face of his childhood friend/bully.

"What did I tell you, you damn nerd?" Katsuki hissed.

Izuku could smell burnt sugar below his chin. Still he remained silent while Katsuki glared so hard, he looked actually ready to perform a murder.

"I told you not to apply to U.A.! Everything, everything I had planned is ruined now!"

His whole body was starting to shake in rage.

"I was supposed to be the only one in this crappy school to get into the hero course. But you had to go and mess that up didn't you! You had to go and shred my dream to pieces!"

"Kacchan, you're acting like you failed the test entirely!" Finally Izuku found his voice. "You scored more villain points than anyone! You got in!"

But Katsuki wasn't having it. That burning sweet scent coming from his hands was getting stronger.

"Have you gone deaf, Deku?! It doesn't matter! I was supposed to go there alone! Your place is at the ground under my shoes! So tell me the truth right now. Tell me now how the two of you cheated."

"Kacchan I….wait. The two of us?"

"YOU AND THAT NO-EYED BITCH, YOU MORON!"

In less time than it takes to blink an eye, all the fear that Izuku was feeling inside him was joined by a new feeling. One he was not familiar with whenever it came to anything Katsuki Bakugo did. And there was nothing he could do to stop it as he continued his rant.

"You're not the only one who messed up my plan, Deku! That blind bitch! She took the number one spot from me! That was supposed to be my spot! That was supposed to be my way of showing I was the best! Then I came in second behind her! I don't know what the hell kind of quirk she has but she had to have cheated the test! There's no other way someone worthless like her or you could get in! Now tell me how or I swear I'll-"

*WHAM!*

The next thing Katsuki knew, he was laying flat on the floor a couple feet away from Izuku. As he reoriented himself, he felt a very harsh sting spread across the left side of his jaw. He looked up and to his complete shock, there stood Deku with his right fist clenched. Katsuki's fury began to rise as he was set to get back up and unleash hell but then he saw the face. A face he has never once seen before on Izuku Midoriya. His eyes were narrowed, his breathing irregular, and his teeth grit. He was angry. Katsuki didn't even think Deku could ever get angry.

"Kacchan…you can say or do anything you want to me. Insult me. Burn me. Beat me up. I don't care! I've grown used to it for the past ten years of my life! But don't you dare insult my friends! Especially when you don't know a single thing about them!"

Full of rage as he was, Katsuki couldn't help but classify the sight in front of him as wrong. This was Deku. The worthless and talentless Deku who wouldn't even think about raising a finger to him, let alone a fist. But as he laid there on the pavement, feeling the pain throbbing on his cheek, Katsuki couldn't help but wonder just who the hell was standing in front of him now.

Izuku was trembling. Not just because he was angry but because he hit Katsuki. He has never landed a single blow on him in his entire life. Now for once, there he was one the ground and here he stood with his fist clenched and throbbing in dull pain. He didn't think he would but hearing Katsuki just openly and willingly insult Camilla like that caused him to snap. He was glad he barely knew anything about Ochako. If he had started dissing her too, Izuku wasn't sure what he would do. The green haired boy couldn't have been more scared than he was right here and now but he still kept talking.

"As for me, someone who I look up to told me I have what it takes to be a hero. They, along with my new friends, believe in me. They put so much effort into helping me get good enough to take the test…so I'm going to U.A. I got in same as you. And you can't stop me!"

Wrong. Everything about what Katsuki was seeing and hearing sounded wrong on every level. Ever since that damn sludge villain incident Deku was changing and Katsuki could notice it. It pissed him off to no end. Rather than go back to being a pebble for him to step on with no real meaning to his life, Deku was trying to improve himself. And now he had those two bitches as friends, which he assumed who told him he could be a hero. Katsuki wanted to get up and scream. He wanted to unleash every explosion he could onto the body of his ex friend until he was nothing but ash. But instead, he only did one of those. As he stood up, he was still seething and the fighting flames behind Izuku could be seen dwindling down.

"You better fucking watch yourself, Deku." Katsuki growled. "I don't know how the hell you did it, but I know for a fact you'll never be a hero. If years of me trying to nail that into your dumbass head weren't enough, then get ready."

Katsuki turned and left without another word, leaving Izuku there to finally realize what he did. He stood up to Katsuki. More than that, he actually nailed him right in the jaw. Oh how part of him wished Ochako and Camilla could have been here to see it. Then again, it's probably for the best if no one saw that. The last thing he needed was to get in trouble for assaulting someone right after getting into U.A. Even if it was Katsuki of all people, and even if, for one glorious moment, it felt really good. To the explosive blonde, he wasn't worth the trouble. That and he probably wouldn't want word to get out that Izuku actually landed a punch on him that left a mark.

With those thoughts in his head, Izuku picked his backpack up off the ground, slung it over his shoulder, and headed back home while focusing on the positive. He had great friends, he had a great mentor, and his future was looking bright.

From the day the results came in the mail, three more weeks passed. Izuku and Ochako finished up their last days of junior high school and Camilla kept her senses and skills sharpened while staying at home. After being accepted into the school, a few more things in the mail came for all of them to be filled out and returned. Things such as basic information, emergency contacts, quirk registration, clothes size, and all that normal stuff. There were a few other things that needed to be explained to the Jedi but thanks to Nejire and Izuku she was able to get it down quite easily. Not long after that, each of them received a package from U.A. that contained a few changes of the same ensemble of clothes. The U.A. school uniform. Once Izuku brought his out of the box he almost started crying again, not believing he was gonna be wearing the same uniform All Might once wore while he was in high school. Ochako was just happy to be given a uniform that wasn't like every other sailor outfit in Japan. Camilla, she had very different thoughts about it. The biggest one being, why was this stupid outfit had her showing so much of her legs?

Finally the day came. Those three grueling weeks passed and finally the day they had all been waiting for had arrived. Over in the Scarifi apartment complex, the young Jedi was in her room getting dressed into her uniform while wondering what the Force could have in store for her at this new academy she was about to step foot into.

"Are you absolutely sure about this?"

As R3's bleep language filled her ears, Camilla turned around to face him while buttoning up her shirt and covering her necklace.

"Of course I'm sure. This is what I've been working towards practically since I got here, remember?"

Then she put on her skirt and sat down on her bed to slip her socks on.

"I know and you've come so far. But I'm still concerned about you."

With both her socks on her feet, Camilla reached over and rubbed a gentle hand atop R3's dome head.

"R3, you're my oldest friend. You've been with me for nearly my whole life and guided me when I still couldn't see. But I need you to trust me now to be OK on my own in this school. We have a chance to have a life here on this planet where I can still be a Jedi. Aren't you happy for me?"

"Camilla, of course I'm happy for you. But what I'm concerned about is just how different this school will be for you. You've been learning the Jedi way since you were two years old. And from what I've heard, being a hero has many very different ideals to it than the Jedi code. What are you going to do when some of those ideals try to get shoved down your throat?"

As much as she wanted to argue against what R3 was going on about, the Padawan couldn't help but find a point to his chirps and beeps. As she used the Force to tie the necktie of her uniform around her, lessons for that courtesy of Nejire, she thought about it. Yes the heroes of this world have a lot of different rules than the Jedi and chances are she was going to be taught to abide by them. But she was still looking to Mirko and Ryukyu as her main examples of what heroes could be. They didn't follow the rules to the purest of conventionalism and they were still very good heroes.

"To be honest with you, buddy, I haven't really thought that far ahead." Camilla admitted while finishing with the necktie.

She stood up, picked the blazer up off her bed and put it on as she kept talking to her droid.

"But if I do find myself at that bridge and have to cross it, then I'll do so my way. The way a Jedi would. And if that causes me some problems, then I'll deal with them because that's what Master Morlev would do."

"And that whole thing about picking up that entire street and throwing it at the giant robot?"

"You are never going to let me live that down are you?"

*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!*

"Quit chatting with the tin can and move your ass, kid. You'll miss your train." Mirko's voice came through the door.

"I'm almost ready. I'll be right out." Camilla called back.

As she finished buttoning up her blazer, the Jedi looked over to her droid one more time and kneeled down so her face was at the same level as R3's head.

"I'm going to be fine, R3. Do you trust me?"

After a short pause, the droid answered.

"Yes. But I still worry. For all I know, you could be the only Jedi left now."

Sad as it was to think that, the fact that R3 was worrying about her this much made her smile. She patted her hand against the side of his head one more time before standing up.

"It'll work out, old friend. Just you watch. I'll be back later today."

With that, she turned to leave while calling her backpack over to her with the Force. Nejire got it for her as a congratulatory gift for getting into the school. It was grey with some black trim on the sides. Nothing too special looking but definitely a quality item, one Camilla was thankful for. She had needed one for school. As she walked out of her room, full on in her uniform, she headed for the front door while Mirko, over in the kitchen stopped her. With a carrot in her hand she looked the girl up and down nodding in approval.

"You don't look half bad in that, Martian Girl. Definitely a lot more formal than those robes."

"Don't diss the robes, Mirko." Camilla replied with a roll of her eyes. "But thank you. Not just for that I mean for…well everything. Without you and everyone else I wouldn't have gotten this new start."

Mirko wasn't one for getting all sappy like her alien roommate was getting here but…she could let it slide here behind closed doors with just the two of them. A small smile grazed her face and she allowed a gentle expression to go on her face, mostly because she knew Camilla wouldn't be able to make it out even if she tried.

"I'm proud of you, Cam. You've come a long way. Now get your ass outta here and show your class that too."

Sporting a smirk of her own, Camilla nodded and went for the door to put on her shoes. Once they were tight on her feet, she opened the door and bid one more goodbye to Mirko before closing it, leaving Mirko alone in her home.

"I'm proud of you, Cam."

*ZZZZTTT!*

"I'm proud of you, Cam."

*ZZZZTTT!*

"I'm proud of you, Cam."

That was definitely the voice of the rabbit hero but she wasn't saying it. She followed the noise over to Camilla's bedroom door where R3 was standing right in front of it and projecting an image of Mirko repeating those words over and over. The muscular pro growled not appreciating being recorded without her consent and started to menacingly approach the droid.

"Either you delete that right now or Martian Girl comes home to find a dent in your head the size of my foot."

While R3 started beeping for his life behind a closed door, Camilla jumped over the guardrail to drop three stories to the ground. She landed perfectly and without any pain in her legs thanks to the Force and when she walked out the gate to her complex, there waiting for her with all nine lights shining in his body, was Izuku. He too was dressed in the U.A. uniform and was excited to be doing so.

"Ready to do this?" He asked.

Camilla shrugged before reaching down to the pocket of her blazer. She pulled out a pair of sunglasses identical to the ones she lost during the entrance exam and put them on to hide her eyes.

"As I'll ever be." She answered.

With that the two were off to the train station. A few stops into their ride, they waved down Ochako and she joined them on their car. The only difference in uniform Ochako had with Camilla's was instead of knee high socks; she was wearing black tights that went all the way up her legs.

'Wow she looks…really good.'

Izuku was very thankful that no one in his vicinity could notice his face and the blush on it. Ochako definitely didn't as she was too excited talking about the prospects of what U.A. had in store for them.

"So what do you think our teachers will be like? What about our classmates? Oooh! I'm just so excited!"

"I'm excited too, Ochako but try to calm down. You're approaching Nejire levels of question asking." Camilla chuckled.

Ochako curled her lips in after that. Nejire was a good person and a very powerful hero in training. But dang it took a lot to stop her whenever she started getting curious about something.

"As for the teachers, I'm just hoping they're competent. Force knows I've been stuck with some masters in the past who didn't think I was worth their time."

Izuku and Ochako looked at each other concerned for a moment then looked to Camilla as those words recalled what she had told them about her time back on Coruscant. Teachers and other students who wrote her off because of her eyes were something she had to deal with daily. Izuku could definitely relate thanks to his previous quirkless status. It wasn't an easy life.

"Hey it's not like that anymore." Ochako said.

She put a hand to Camilla's shoulder and smiled her warmest smile to the Jedi.

"You took first place in the exam, Camilla. And the Force is an amazing power. Even if there are people in our class who do write you off, then you'll be able to hammer into their heads that you belong there so much harder!"

Izuku and Camilla found that the gravity girl had a point. Being underestimated early on could have advantages, especially if there were to be more lessons involving real combat like Nejire said there would. Still that didn't make the feeling of knowing your opponent thought you would be an easy defeat any easier to swallow. Sensing emotions had that effect.

"Defects stick together, right?"

Her vision made out Izuku holding a clenched fist up to her. She smiled and bumped it back.

"Defects stick together."

"Defects stick together! Now Deku, why is your tie so short?"

Ochako slapped her palm on both their fists and the three shared a laugh, feeling pretty good about where they were going now both figuratively and literally. The rest of the way there, by train and on foot, Izuku explained to Camilla just how the acceptance rate for U.A. worked. Only one out of every three hundred students got accepted in leaving forty students for the hero course classes. Thirty six got in by the practical exam they took, and four were admitted by recommendations. That was one of the few things the Padawan knew ahead of time thanks to Ryukyu and Mirko. They told her there was more than one way to get into U.A. other than the regular exam and that was through the recommendation process. Ryukyu was willing to be the one to recommend her, but Camilla decided to go through the normal exam anyway for two reasons. One; there would probably be more questions asked to Ryukyu if she brought in a teen with not the most solid of forged backgrounds at the time. Two; she wanted to prove she belonged there just as much as anyone else and the normal exam was the way to do that. Mirko was very pleased with her answer that day and Ryukyu could respect her wishes.

A few more minutes on the train and short walk later, the three of them were once again in front of the gate of U.A. High School's campus. They didn't waste any time standing around this time. They went inside and began to look around for their classroom. Class 1-A. Izuku and Ochako had brought the campus map that was included in their acceptance letters with them in case they needed help finding out where to go. It turns out they did. Since Camilla couldn't read printed signs she was relying entirely on them to find their way to the right classroom before they were late. Thankfully they were able to do so and kept going down the hallway of their new school until they were standing in front of a giant door with a big 1-A printed on it.

"Whoa. That's a big door." Ochako commented.

"Probably for some of the bigger students, right?" Camilla wondered.

"Yeah. A lot of mutant type quirks make people grow huge and all that." Izuku added.

Once again, like the entrance exam, the trio of kids found themselves just staring at the door.

"On the other side, the best and brightest of potential heroes are waiting." The current bearer of One For All was about to start sweating.

"Well, don't forget, Deku. That now includes us." Ochako softly reminded her friend.

Finding a smile of his own, Izuku aimed it right for his brunette friend.

"Yeah it does. I'm still swallowing that particular pill though." He admitted.

Ochako seriously wanted to give the boy a hug when he said that. He earned this. How many times did he have to be reminded?

"So, are we just gonna stand out here? Or we gonna go in?"

Camilla's question made her put that thought on hold though. First go in and meet new class, then hug Izuku. Maybe.

"Yeah. Let's go." Izuku said.

Nodding, Camilla flicked her wrist and with a pull of the Force, the door slid open and the three walked into their new classroom.

"Take your feet off that desk right now!"

They didn't even get two steps in before a familiar voice came into their ears.

"I will not allow you to deface school property like this on the first day, you cretin!"

"So were you born with that stick up your ass or did you have it put up there manually?"

'Oh great.'

The three of them thought the same thing as those voices drew them to look at the very unmistakable forms of that tall boy from the entrance exam, and Katsuki Bakugo with his feet up on the surface of his desk. Camilla could recognize that fiery orange light in his heart anywhere.

As the tall boy reeled back from the insult, he was about to retort but stopped himself to take in a breath and try a new approach.

"Let's start over. My name is Tenya Iida and I'm from the Soumei Private Academy."

Polite as he was, Katsuki's mind took the introduction as something else entirely.

"Soumei huh? What are you trying to say? That you're better than me? Man I'm gonna have fun blasting you to smithereens."

Tenya was more than shocked that was the reaction he got.

"What?! You'd threaten your own classmate?! Are you sure you're in the right place?!"

Before Katsuki could throw another insult into this guy's face, his eyesight wandered to the right and he locked on to the three others standing in the doorway. He had his eyes on one more than the other and a scowl replaced that smug smirk he was flashing Tenya moments ago. When Tenya noticed, he too looked over and saw them. Then slowly, the other kids who were watching them argue turned as well, and suddenly the eyes of eighteen other kids in this room were looking at this new trio up and down.

"It's you three." Tenya muttered.

He remembered all three of them sat next to each other during Present Mic's briefing. The green haired boy was silent and often stuttering trying to form words in his mouth while the two girls next to him spoke out. Right now only one of those actions was mirrored as Izuku suddenly found himself being stared down by a classroom full of people he didn't know.

"Um….uuhhh…hi."

As Tenya made his way over, Camilla's Force vision scanned over the kids in the other desks. She could see quite a colorful display of lights signifying their connection to the Force. Lights of reds, blues, greens, yellows, purples, and other colors of varying degrees and intensity. There were a few she could recognize. The three people that were in the same exam area as her for instance. The girl she saved with the white light, and the two others with the red and yellowish green lights that saved her when she was on the ground and immobile.

"Hello there! My name is Tenya Iida! I would-"

"Yeah I know! You uh…you said that already." Izuku pointed out. "My name is Izuku Midoriya."

Ochako was weary at this Tenya guy's approach. Part of her wanted to get between him and Izuku and tell him to back off. After the way he talked to her friend at the exam completely unwarranted, she was not feeling very open to him saying more along those same lines again.

"Midoriya." Tenya started. "I owe you and your friends here an apology."

All three of them had their attention fully on Tenya now as he kept speaking.

"They were right. I made an assumption about you at the beginning that turned out to be an incorrect assessment of your character. And for that, I do so deeply apologize. After all it was you who figured out that there was more to the practical exam than just the villain points alone. Clearly you are a much more superior student than I am."

As he bowed to Izuku, the green haired boy backed up not expecting to hear such praise from the boy who previously got on him for being nothing but a disturbance. Camilla was surprised as well but her reaction was much milder. She was just happy Tenya was admitting that he made a mistake and saying sorry for it. As for Ochako, like the other two she wasn't expecting this when the tall kid marched over. She already tore into him once at the front gate of the practical exam and did not really want to do so again here in front of her whole class. Thankfully, it turned out she didn't have to. The guy was smart enough to realize he made assumptions way too early, though it still seemed to be a habit of his as he called Izuku a better student than him.

"And to you as well, miss." Tenya then turned his attention to Ochako. "I accused you and Midoriya here of trying to sabotage the rest of us without any real proof other than what I saw at a quick glance. You have my apologies too."

The guy was formal. That much had been made painfully obvious even at the exam. Still though, Ochako found herself smiling at the guy and waving his concerns off quite literally.

"Hey don't worry about it. It's all water under the bridge now. It's a fresh start for all of us here. I'm Ochako Uraraka."

Tenya smiled in kind and quickly bowed again to the brunette.

"Uraraka, how nice to meet you. You're quite a breath of fresh air after some classmates." Tenya groaned thinking back to Katsuki.

"As for your whole thing about figuring out something about the exam before you, that wasn't a thing. None of us knew about the rescue points until after we got our results."

The bespectacled boy's attention now turned to the girl with the ruby hair and the sunglasses taking her words in.

"To perform such an act without any thought of reward, how noble." Tenya was in deep admiration before he realized something, "So what is your name, miss?"

Shrugging and also willing to give this guy a new start, the young Jedi smiled to the tall kid before her

"Camilla Sharro. Nice to meet you, Tenya."

Tenya was about to bow back but his eyes widened and his shock became quite obvious as he looked at the girl with a new light shining on her.

"Camilla Sharro? As in the girl who scored first place in the exam?"

Just like that, Camilla had a pretty good guess that everyone was staring at her. She could feel the combination of emotions coming from all of them. The majority of it was surprise. A couple people felt content as if they were relived about something. And then one person, which was so obviously Katsuki, was angry. The last one did have her a bit concerned. For the most part, she had a sense that most of her class would be easy enough to get along with. Katsuki however would probably be one of if not the only big problem. But she had to be positive. Class hadn't even started yet and it was still day number one.

Her vision went out to the class again taking in their shapes and the colors of their lights that symbolized their Force connections. There were quite a lot of differences. One kid even seemed to have a pointed head almost like a bird. Another was quite short and stout. A third was quite large and seemed to have very large arms. She then spied the two kids again who saved her during the exam. She wanted to go up and greet herself to them and thank them for doing so but then, something grabbed her attention. Over in the back row, seemingly not giving off much in terms of emotions to read, there was a boy. There wasn't much to read off of him emotion wise, but what caught Camilla's attention was the light in this boy's heart. It was red and white swirled together.

'It's him.'

Suddenly a whole plethora of questions wracked her brain. Some of the people from that vision she had months ago were in this class, did that mean the rest of these kids were the others that hadn't been formed yet? Why was that red and white boy the only one other than Izuku that had a solid shape before they met? Just what were the Force and her master trying to tell her?

"Hey there's too many of us."

That comment from Ochako made Camilla break her train of thought and turn to her.

"What was that?" She asked.

Now everyone was looking to the gravity girl wondering what she was talking about.

"I just counted. There are twenty one of us, not twenty."

After hearing that, most every other kid in the class room began to look around and do a headcount of their own seeing if the brunette was right. As it turns, out, she was.

"She's right. There's one extra here." A boy with black hair and bulging elbows said.

"Maybe it was a mistake? Did one of us read our letter wrong?" Another boy with a tail wondered.

"I don't think it's a mistake." A girl with from the back row said. "There is an extra desk set up back here."

Everyone followed the ponytailed girl's hand as she pointed out one of the two empty desks in the back row. The desks were assorted by four per row going across and it continued four rows up. When it got to row five, there turned out to be a fifth desk making twenty one in total.

"Is our class doing something different?" Tenya wondered. "An experiment perhaps to see if U.A. is capable of teaching more than twenty students per class?"

It was a good question. But Camilla had another one as she thought about that. The question being; Who had just come up from behind them?

"If you're just going to stand around and ask pointless questions then maybe you shouldn't be here."

Everyone, especially the four kids still standing, all froze in their spots when they heard a new voice come from outside the room. Slowly, they all turned to see something not standing but rather lying outside the classroom door. The young Jedi surmised this was who her senses were picking up but…what the heck was it?! Those with full vision could make out the face of a man poking out of the zipper of a large yellow sleeping bag and sucking on a juice pouch. Poor Camilla though, with what the Force would allow her to see, all she could make out was the outline and shape of something resembling a giant slug creature.

"Welcome to U.A. High's hero course." The man in the bag said.

Most of the students were very confused as to what they were even looking at right now.

'WHAT IS THAT THING?!'

'IS THAT A DEFORMED HUTT?!'

Slowly, the thing with the face began to shuffle. The zipper went down and the man crawled out to stand up allowing the students to see his full appearance. Camilla mentally breathed a huge sigh of relief upon realizing it was just a guy in a sleeping bag. For everyone else, they were taking in his appearance closely. Izuku was trying to look for anything defining about him that would trigger some knowledge within him but so far nothing. His hair on both his head and face were scraggly and unkempt, his eyes were only half open, and his hero costume was mostly just black pants, boots, a shirt, and what appeared to be a very large scarf around his neck.

'Who is this guy? If he works at U.A. then he has to be a pro hero. But he looks more ready for a nap.'

The man took a look around the room, glancing at the students inside.

"Hello. My name is Shota Aizawa. I'm your homeroom teacher."

While the horror of first seeing this guy went away, it was now replaced with surprise amongst the students that this guy was their teacher. He sounded so tired and like he didn't want to be there in the slightest.

"Eight seconds. That's how long it took for you all to settle down. That won't do. You all need to learn to be more rational."

Aizawa reached into his sleeping back and pulled out a set of gym clothes to show to his class.

"Now then, get changed into your gym clothes and meet me outside on the track field."

Not a single one of them had any idea why they were being asked to do that, but none of them spoke up about it. Almost mechanically, every single student in the room filed out of the classroom and headed for the locker rooms to change.

Thankfully Camilla was given a heads up by Ochako and Nejire that changing clothes in the same room as her other female classmates was going to be a thing. It didn't make it any more comfortable but being at least warned about it brought the tiniest sliver of comfort. Which really wasn't comforting at all. She could tell the other girls in there, least of all Ochako, weren't interesting in looking at her as she changed. She just wanted to get her gym clothes on as soon as she could and hope nobody noticed anything about her, most of all her eyes. She kept her sunglasses on the entire time she was getting dressed. She could sense some confusion coming off some of the other girls around her but she paid it no mind as she slipped her top on.

"It's so nice to see you again!"

A familiar sounding peppy voice jerked the ruby haired girl out of her thoughts as she turned to the side. There, standing with a familiar white light in her heart, stood Toru Hagakure waving hello.

"Hi there! I don't know if you remember me. But I'm-"

"Toru. Yes I remember you."

As she finished putting on her pants, Camilla flashed a warm smile to the other girl.

"I'm glad to see you got in too." The young Jedi said.

"Yeah I totally lucked out. My quirk isn't really the best when it comes to combat but I was able to deactivate just enough robots and earn enough rescue points to make the cut." Toru explained.

Camilla just giggled as Obi-Wan's line came back to her mind again.

"I personally don't believe in luck. You got in because you earned your spot. Plain and simple."

"Awwwww thanks, Sharro! That means a lot."

The ruby haired teen was just tying her shoes up as she was about to tell Toru to just refer to her by her first name but she was interrupted when she picked up another person walking over. One she very much recognized with a yellow-green light showing her Force connection.

'The Gungan girl who saved me.'

"I'm glad to see you're alright, ribbit. After what you did and how it affected you, I was worried about you."

That little croak in this other girl's speech caused Camilla to mentally slap herself.

'Frog. She's a frog, not a Gungan. That makes so much more sense.'

"I suppose I should be thanking you then for saving me along with that other guy." She said to the frog girl.

"His name is Kirishima. Mine is Tusyu Asui. But please just call me Tsu. And you're welcome for the save."

Tsuyu extended her enlarged hand out to Camilla and the in sunglasses reached to take it.

"Likewise."

One moment she was in her locker room. The next moment when the skin of her hand touched Tsuyu's, Camilla suddenly found herself back in the void of the Force. The vision from months ago was back and it brought with it a new development. Four out of the twenty figures remained solid while the other sixteen were still puffy clouds of gas. One such cloud a few spaces away from where Toru stood in this void began to shine a bright yellow-green color before the familiar shape of Tsuyu Asui formed before her. Like the rest, she too had her big hand reaching out as if asking the Jedi to take it.

Before she knew it, the Padawan was out of it as quickly as she went in. She stood there in the locker room looking up and down Tsuyu for a brief moment before letting go of her hand.

"Are you alright? Ribbit. You looked like you looked out of it for a little bit."

"Hey you did the same thing when you met me during the exam. Does this have something to do with your eyes?"

Camilla's head snapped in Toru's direction as the girl suddenly looked a little panicked. Toru backed away now realizing maybe bringing that up was a bad idea.

"What's wrong with her eyes?" Another girl with thin cords coming from her earlobes asked.

"Um….nothing! Hey we should probably get out there! If Aizawa gets on us about eight seconds then I don't wanna see what happens when its minutes! Let's go, Camilla!"

Like a real hero in training, Ochako had swooped in and took Camilla by her arm to help guide her out of the locker room and away from the confused looks of the other girls there. Tsuyu tilted her head and put a finger to her chin, thinking about that little interaction.

"Ribbit. What do you think that was all about?" She wondered aloud.

"Maybe she's sensitive about how her eyes look?" Another girl replied.

This other girl was pointing to her own eyes with black sclera and yellow irises, though Tsuyu was more interested in the pink skin and the yellow hook shaped horns coming out of her head.

"She has nothing to be embarrassed about! Look at mine! Pretty cool huh?"

As the pink girl went on about her eyes and everyone else finished getting dressed, Ochako led Camilla a little bit further away from the locker room before letting go of the Jedi's arm.

"Thanks for that." Camilla said.

"No problem." Ochako smiled back. "I figured you'd wanna keep your eyes hidden for as long as possible."

"Well….most of them." The Padawan shrugged. "Toru already knows. She saw them during the exam."

"Toru. You mean the invisible one?"

That brought out a look of confusion across Camilla's features.

"What do you mean invisible?"

Ochako spent the rest of the walk trying to explain to her friend who sees differently that the girl she saved during the entrance exam was indeed invisible. And Camilla spent it realizing that her Force vision had a perk to it that she didn't even realize.

"A QUIRK ASSESSMENT TEST?!"

Once all the kids were out in the track field dressed collectively in their gym clothes, Aizawa explained to them why they were all out there to begin with. To say they were surprised it was this would be a drastic understatement. Most of them figured they were gonna have some sort of ceremony out here welcoming them into the school.

"But what about orientation? We're gonna miss it!" Ochako protested.

Aizawa didn't seem to care in the slightest about that.

"If you wanna make it as a pro, then wasting time in pointless ceremonies isn't going to help you."

None of them dared protest against the man. He just seemed to have this strict aura surrounding him and they all could tell that after only interacting with him for less than two minutes.

"Until now, you've been going to schools that have been teaching you the same way since before quirks came to be a thing. Well here at U.A., that's not how things work here. We don't stick to traditions. To do so would be foolish. What that means, is that I get to run my class however I deem fit."

Suddenly what her droid bleeped to her this morning came rushing back into Camilla's mind. Just barely starting out on the first day and already she could tell the teachings of this guy before her were going to be very different than what she got on Coruscant and from Master Morlev.

Aizawa turned back around and held out two things in his hands. In one was his smartphone, in the other was a softball.

"For most of your lives, you've all been taking standardized tests. But you were never allowed to use your quirks when it came to the physical exams, right? Well that's because the country wants most people to believe we're all created equally. And that means those with the most power don't get ahead. It isn't rational. One day the ministry of education will hopefully understand that."

There was quite a bit of frustration Camilla could feel coming off her new teacher as he spoke of that. Though he did quite a good job at keeping it internalized. From one viewpoint, the rest of her class, it just sounded like he was merely annoyed. But to her, she could tell this was something that truly angered him. But he shook that off wanting to get down to business.

"Bakugo."

The boy in question perked his head up.

"You scored more villain points than anyone in the entrance exam. Tell me. What was the farthest distance in the softball throw when you were in middle school?" Aizawa asked.

"67 meters." Katsuki replied.

Aizawa tossed him the ball and Katsuki got it.

"Right. Now try it with your quirk. Anything goes just don't leave the circle."

The shaggy looking hero pointed over to the circle painted into the dirt and Katsuki walked over to it tossing the ball up and down as he thought of a way to do what his teacher was asking of him. A few stretches of his arms and he was ready.

"Oh boy." Camilla muttered as she placed her hands over her ears.

Tenya, who was standing right next to her, noticed and looked at her confused.

"Why are you covering your ears?"

"DIE!"

*BOOM!*

His answer came to him as Katsuki threw his ball and propelled it farther with an explosion. The loud noise caused near everyone to cover their own ears as a result. Izuku was one of the few who didn't. He had spent nearly his whole life around those explosions so they weren't as loud to him. Maybe that could be a sign of hearing loss early in life but he wasn't focusing on that. He was watching the ball fly away and away and away before it finally began to fall back to Earth.

"It's important to know your current maximums in the beginning of your training." Aizawa stated. "It's the best way to gauge your potential as pro heroes."

The teacher flashed his class his phone and showed the number that was Katsuki's throw distance. It read 705.2 meters.

"Whoa seven hundred and five meters! That's insane!"

"That looks like fun! I wanna try!"

"Aw yeah this is what I've been looking forward to! Using our quirks as much as we want!"

A feeling of dread crept its way up Camilla's spine as she felt another pang of anger spike from Aizawa's emotions. The teacher himself was looking about his students seeing all of their smiling faces looking excited like the children they were. It was time to crush that.

"So you say this looks fun, do you?"

Now most everyone there was feeling that same dread on their spines as their teacher's tone turned icy.

"If you think regular school wasn't fun and games, what makes you idiots think that here is going to be any different if not harsher? But if you want to make this a game, then how's this? Each of you will be participating in eight different physical tests and scored at the end based on your performance. Whoever comes in last will be considered to have zero potential as a pro hero. As a result, that person will be immediately expelled."

Just like that, the prospect of a successful first day at school for everyone had taken a harsh nosedive. Some were confident they would be alright no matter what but for the majority of the twenty one kids in class, having their hero careers cut off at day one put a heavy amount of fear in all of them.

While Aizawa was busy instilling fear into his class as a motivation tactic, All Might was in the teacher's lounge looking over the details of the class his successor and his friends were in. All in all it seemed these kids were a well rounded bunch in terms of academic prowess and power sets. He was especially surprised to see the son of his rival Endeavor in the class. He got in through recommendations alongside a girl with one of the most versatile quirks he'd ever heard of. That would certainly make things interesting, not to mention a bit ironic. The son of the number two being taught heroics by the only hero who outranks his father. Overall it seemed like these kids would be a good bunch for his successor to be with on his path to becoming a pro hero. But the most important part of learning isn't the students you're put with. It's who you learn from. And All Might couldn't help but grimace as he noticed who would be in charge of this class of newbies.

"Oh crap. All three of them got Eraser. Uraraka and Sharro may be fine but young Midoriya is gonna be singled out right at the start. If Aizawa is anything it's definitely not patient."

Suddenly All Might found himself worrying quite a bit that his successor's high school career was now in the hands of a man who was known for expelling students without hesitation if he thought they weren't up to the task.

"Young Midoriya can't even handle a measly one percent of One For All's power yet. If he knocks himself out of commission like he did in the entrance exam than Aizawa will kick him out of here so hard, Recovery Girl will probably have to surgically remove the boot out of his ass."

Strands of long messy hair become gripped in All Might's palms as he strained himself thinking about all the ways this day could go wrong for Izuku. Then he took in a deep breath to try and calm down.

"I can't think like that. He may be a beginner to having a quirk to call his own but he has a good head on his shoulders. And young Uraraka and young Sharro will be more than enough to…Sharro…"

Suddenly a new thought came into the skinny pro's mind and punted the previous one out like a football. Math was never All Might's best subject in school. But right here, his mind started to do an equation. You take a teacher who has an amazing power to erase the quirk factors of others around him. Then you add in an alien girl with another amazing power which, lo and behold, isn't a quirk at all. Finally you put those two things in front of a group of twenty other kids, only two of which know the truth about her.

What possible outcome can come of it?

"Shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit!"

All Might cursed the entire way as he bulked up and sprinted out the door of the teacher's lounge.

'I don't know if the Force can be erased by Aizawa but if it can't then we may have a big problem!'

Out on the field, most everyone was still panicking for a different reason.

"You can't send one of us home just like that! It isn't fair! We just got here!"

Camilla was about to turn and tell Ochako that there was no such thing as fair in this line of work. But someone beat her to it.

"Do you think natural disasters are?"

Aizawa's cold tone caused the brunette to freeze. Any spark she or anyone else had to protest was instantly blown out as their teacher kept going.

"How about villain attacks? Freak accidents that claim whole cities? Are any of those fair? No. This is a lesson that a good number of you should have already known years prior to coming here. Life. Isn't. Fair. It's a hero's job to fight against that unfairness. If that's too hard a task for you to stand up to, then turn around and go home. For three years this school isn't going to go easy on any of you. Every pro hero here is going to put you through hell with the intention of pushing you past your limits. So go beyond. Plus ultra style. Because if not for one reason, there is another as to why one of you will be leaving today."

Another one? What other reason could there be now?

"I heard earlier you all noticed that there are twenty one of you here instead of the traditional twenty. I intend to rectify this mistake. The only reason there's one extra of you here right now is because we couldn't decide who to weed out. This is my way of doing that. To me it doesn't matter if you passed the exam to get in. There's more than one way to determine whether or not you're pro material. So show me that you being here isn't a mistake."

The reactions were mixed amongst the group of kids. Some were smug and confident that they weren't going anywhere. Others were determined to prove themselves no matter what. But the majority was internally panicking inside and complaining about how harsh this guy was being to a bunch of kids on their first day. Izuku was definitely one of those last three as he looked to Aizawa. In his eyes, a dense purple fog of dread surrounded the guy as he started to realize that now that his training with All Might may be a waste after all.

'This is bad. I can only use One For All at either zero or one hundred percent output. I literally have no control over it right now. If I use it during even one of these exercises, then my time at U.A. is over before it even started! What the crap am I gonna do?!'

Before Izuku could literally start shaking in fear of this new threat, he felt two hands come down on his shoulders. On his left side, there was Ochako flashing him a confident smile. On the right, there was Camilla doing the same.

"Remain calm, Izuku." The Jedi advised quietly.

"You totally got this." Ochako whispered.

As he looked back and forth between the two best friends in his life, Izuku started to calm down. Sometimes he had to be reminded it wasn't him against the rest of the world anymore. He had friends to back him up. But the problem with that, he couldn't very much rely on them here save for some emotional support. Still, it was amazing how far a little bit of that could go sometimes. Smiling himself and nodding, Izuku steeled his nerves and stood up straight, ready to take the tests.

Camilla was starting to get Aizawa's angle a lot more now. He wasn't being overly strict for no reason at all. He was a pro hero so obviously he was speaking from experience. But when he was talking about the world being unfair and all that, there was also a tinge of…grief. Where was that coming from? No time to really focus on that. Almost immediately, the first test began. The fifty meter dash.

The first race of two was between Tsuyu and Tenya. Obviously thanks to those engines in his legs, Tenya scored the faster time of just over three seconds flat. Tsuyu hopped her way into five and a half seconds time.

"I can only get up to third gear for such a short distance." Tenya remarked as he took a sip of orange juice from a bottle clipped to his waist.

From there on the races continued, Ochako raced against a blonde boy with a tail and got across the line at over seven seconds. Not much to write home about but she was still satisfied with it. Izuku raced against Katsuki who of course used us explosions to propel himself to victory. Izuku thought about using One For All but stopped himself, choosing to run normally and settle for second place behind Katsuki.

"My power has more uses to it than any other in this place." Katsuki confidently remarked.

Then he looked over to Izuku who was panting while grasping his knees.

"Tch. Pathetic. At least he'll be the one out of here today."

Izuku was beginning to panic again. Everyone else around him was showing off with their quirks but he couldn't. He was still practically an infant when it came to experience. He couldn't break himself. At least not yet. He knew Aizawa was watching his every move. If he failed to make at least some impression then he was as good as gone. As he stood there dwelling on that, his mind traveled back to that beach three weeks ago with All Might. The night he got his results and went to tell him, the number one hero did give him some advice about how to control the power and Izuku was able to find the relation that his power was like an egg in the microwave. Too much power and it bursts, but not enough and it doesn't even cook at all.

"That's a boring way to go but whatever! If that's the image you wanna go with then keep your mind on it whenever you use your power. Control over One For All isn't gonna happen for you immediately but you'll get it down one way. You just have to keep trying!"

It wasn't much but All Might was right. He had to keep trying and possibly hurting himself if he was ever going to learn how to properly control this impossible quirk. He rejoined the class with these thoughts in his head and watched the rest of the races go. When the boy with the red and white hair stepped forward to race against the girl with cords attached to her earlobes, Camilla focused her attention a lot more than it had been for the rest of the races. This was the boy the Force showed her before she had ever met him. And she was still clueless as to why. There had to be something there but what? When she tried to feel his emotions the only thing Camilla could feel was all sorts of negativity. Anger, hatred, resentment, and all for one person; his father.

Was that why the Force was leading her to him? To help him maybe? She didn't know what kind of issues were going on with him. Camilla didn't know this guy at all.

"Who is that guy?" She muttered.

"That's Shoto Todoroki."

Camilla looked up to the tall girl with the large ponytail on her head when she answered. Apparently she muttered that question to herself a bit louder than she had meant to.

"He's the other student who got in the school by recommendations next to me." The girl clarified further.

A name had been acquired. Shoto Todoroki. Finally she had something to go off of more than just an image in a premonition. It was just a name but it was more than nothing at least.

*BANG!*

The starting gun sounded off and Shoto, rather than running, began to slide across the ground at high speed as a sheet of ice covered the part of the track he was on and left the other side completely untouched. He crossed the finish line seconds before the girl with the wired ears did.

"Yeah that's a recommended student for ya. Showing us just how wide the gap is." The boy with the oddly shaped elbows said.

A lot of other students nearby agreed with him while Camilla merely shrugged. Getting in because somebody recommended you, in her eyes wasn't that big of an accomplishment. But still, this boy did have a lot of power in him. His precision in freezing the ground and his ease of melting it off the dirt was a testament to that. That explained the feeling she got in the vision of heat and cold and the same time. That must be his quirk. Fire and ice mixed together somehow. So incredible. As he walked back to the crowd, Camilla decided to speak.

"Well done." She complimented.

Shoto only shot her a quick glance before ignoring her again and standing in place. Camilla couldn't make out his face but part of her sort of had the feeling she didn't want to see what it looked like. All those negative feelings inside him just stayed there unyielding.

'OK. Not the best start but we're classmates. We'll see plenty of each other.'

Shrugging it off, the Jedi turned in her place to watch the rest of the races until it came down to only one person. Her. With no one else to race against, Camilla stood alone at the starting line looking down the line to the robots at the end.

"Iida, would you mind running again with Sharro?"

Tenya was at first confused about being asked to go again. But he immediately guessed why Aizawa did so. He had the fastest time out of everyone, and he didn't want this girl to run it alone while everyone else had an opponent to measure themselves against.

"Not at all, sir."

He immediately did as he was told and joined Camilla at the starting line after taking another sip of orange juice from his bottle.

"Runners, on your mark!"

Both Tenya and Camilla leaned down to get ready to dash.

"Ready…."

Tenya's engines began to whir to life while next to him the blind Jedi for the first time today truly began to use her power. She could feel the Force all around her and she began to let it flow through her body.

*BANG*

As the starting gun sounded off from the robot, most of the kids were expecting Tenya to burst away leaving the girl wearing sunglasses in his wake. Only two of them guessed what actually happened.

The moment the gun went off Tenya was given a surprise as Camilla flew ahead of him in a burst of speed much faster than any starting time he had ever achieved. She was already over the finish line before he even reached the halfway point.

"1.75 seconds!"

"3.63 seconds!"

When she passed the droid Camilla came to an abrupt stop, her sneakers sliding against the dirt of the field before she stood up straight and adjusted her glasses. When Tenya finally came to a stop, his eyesight was locked right onto the girl he was up against with quite the look of surprise. A look that was mirrored by nearly everyone else in Class 1-A.

"You…you're fast." He could barely mutter.

"I'm a lot of things, Tenya." She replied back.

She approached him and when she was right in front of him, she held out her hand.

"But you're still quite impressive yourself."

Still quite shocked that he was outrun by this girl, Tenya was nevertheless smiling at the show of sportsmanship.

"Thank you, Sharro." He took hold of her hand to shake it.

For the second time that day, every object and noise surrounding Camilla vanished and was replaced with the void of the Force. The group of twenty came in front of her once more and another figure took solid form. On the other side of Izuku, a tall figure with the same height and blue light as Tenya formed and he too held out his hand, reaching for Camilla. He also seemed to be wearing some sort of bulky armor on his body.

A moment later, she felt like she had just woken up as she returned to the real world. She let go of Tenya's hand and began to walk back to the crowd.

"You're welcome." She muttered.

Tenya was a little confused at how quickly her demeanor seemed to change just from a simple handshake but Camilla wasn't focusing on that. Twice. That was twice today the Force had taken her to that vision. That only further cementer her theory. These twenty kids had to be the ones all from her vision. She just had to somehow touch them to see if it was true.

"Whoa whoa how did she do that?" A boy with spiked red hair asked. "I thought her quirk was some kind of telekinesis."

"Maybe there's more to it than what we saw in the exam." Tsuyu could only guess.

"Speedy as she may be, it was nowhere near as stunning as my belly beam."

The belly laser guy aside, this got them all wondering. If those two saw her do one thing, then how could she do another? As speculations went on, Izuku and Ochako merely smiled to one another thinking a different thing.

"Well…we may not be able to score the highest on these tests." Izuku whispered.

"But it will be fun to watch Camilla use the Force to completely annihilate them." Ochako finished.

The two of them bumped their fists together before their teacher got them back to the task at hand. One test down, seven to go.

The next test was a grip strength test. Each student was handed a device meant for them to squeeze and the digital gauge on the face would tell them how strong their grip was. Simple enough. Each kid did their best to try and use their quirks to their advantage here, but there were only a select few who could do so.

'Alright, try to remember the egg. Don't let it explode!'

Try as he might, flashes of himself getting hurt again flashed through Izuku's mind just as he squeezed the grip. In the end, he ended up not activating it again. He looked down at the number and it only read 56 kilograms. Not good.

"Whoa! You hit 540 kilograms! You're such a beast!"

The green haired boy looked over to a boy with a mask over his face and multiple arms growing out of his shoulders. He had three hands on the grip of his device adding onto his score. Izuku felt a sinking feeling in his stomach as he looked out amongst his classmates.

*SNAP! CRACK! ZZZZZT!*

The sound of something breaking drew in the attention of everyone in the class. When they found its source, they saw Camilla standing there with her device hovering over hand and completely crushed like an old soda can.

"Uhhh…hehe. Can I get another one?" She sheepishly asked as she rubbed the back of her head.

The class looked shocked as they all thought the same thing.

'Who is this girl?!'

Katsuki growled.

Izuku and Ochako laughed.

Test three: standing long jump. Pretty self explanatory. Ochako was definitely able to excel here. But she needed to be careful. Propelling herself at the wrong angle upwards and the drop down could be quite painful. She touched the pads on her fingertips to her other hand and made sure she leant as far forward as she could before she shot herself off the ground. She was able to soar a good distance past the sandbox in front of her before she felt herself getting too high. She released herself, and took a bit of a tumble on landing but nothing painful. Still it was something she was satisfied with.

More and more went. Belly laser boy and Katsuki were quite clever using their powers to propel them. Izuku though, once more, he tried and failed to use One For All in any sense. He wasn't last place in this one at least. Not by much though.

Then Camilla went. Since she couldn't get a running start here and her main power seemed to be telekinesis, the majority of the class was convinced she would be like Izuku or someone who couldn't use their quirk to push themselves forward. Ochako and Izuku just kept their mouths slyly covered so no one would see them laugh again. The girl took in a few breaths, crouched down to jump and then sprang off the ground much higher and farther than what was expected. A lot of jaws in the crowd of children were dropped as the ruby haired teen rose up and up and up until she finally somersaulted gracefully and began to tumble back down to earth. Then, once again to the surprise of her peers, she landed gracefully without as much as a stumble. She stood up straight once more and adjusted her sunglasses.

Once again, Izuku and Ochako laughed while Katsuki growled at being showed up by this girl yet again. Even Aizawa had an eyebrow raised as he looked at Camilla in thought.

Test four: Repeated sidestep. A lot of the same. Except this time Camilla didn't bother to use the Force this time around to stand out. She decided to let the small one with the oddly spherical shaped hair have a time to shine this round. Izuku however fell further into his panic while once again he failed to make even the slightest bit of an impression.

Test five: Ball throw. Since Katsuki already took his throw at the start he stood on the side and watched everyone else take their throws. He was feeling good, but not as good as he thought he was supposed to. On one hand, Deku was proving himself more and more worthless with every test he failed. He on the other hand was excelling no matter what was being thrown at him. His explosions were perfect for everything that Aizawa thought to put them through. That should have been more than enough to make him satisfied. But one thing stood in the way of that and it was in the form of a redhead with a small braid in her hair.

'I should be on top. I should be showing these extras just how beneath me they are. But her. No-eyes is taking that from me. Just like she stole my first place spot in the exam. She has to be cheating somehow. There's no way any quirk can have that many different uses. And that isn't even counting the shit she hasn't shown here yet.'

His thoughts traveled back to the day he first met Camilla a year ago. Those two extras that always followed him around were with him before they just up and left. They repeated back what she told them to do like a parrot and then just obeyed it. She had to have hypnotized them somehow. Katsuki just wasn't sure how. This quirk, if it could even be called that, was in no way what she told people what it was. She was hiding something. He just needed time to figure out what it was.

"INFINITY?!"

He was so busy thinking about the one girl who befriended Deku, Katsuki had completely ignored the other extra girl who had taken her throw. He had missed her touch the ball with fingers, activate her quirk, and just toss the ball up into the air to watch it float away until it couldn't be seen. Infinity was the only logical score that showed up on Aizawa's phone.

After Izuku and Camilla congratulated her on her high score, the former stepped forward to take his throw. As he held the ball in his hand, he took in a deep breath and figured now was as good a time as any to finally do something. The other three tests after this one wouldn't have much opportunity for him to show off any of One For All. Over with the group, Camilla could sense his unease while Ochako noticed it all over his face.

"He isn't doing so well." The brunette whispered.

"He's too afraid of hurting himself again." Camilla whispered back. "He has absolutely no clue on how to control his power."

"Well he has to make something happen if he doesn't wanna get expelled."

She knew Ochako was right. Even if it came at the price of pain Izuku was more than likely going to have to use his power at least once during these tests. As much as she didn't want to see him like that, Camilla's desire to not see him thrown out on day one heavily outweighed that. But it was all depending on the green haired boy himself.

"I wonder if he's ever going to use his power. If he doesn't he's the one getting expelled." Tenya thought out loud.

"What power?! The guy is a quirkless loser!" Katsuki yelled back to the taller boy.

This only got Tenya confused rather than aggravated at being unnecessarily yelled at again.

"What do you mean? He has a quirk. How else could he have destroyed the zero pointer during the entrance exam?"

"Huh?!"

While those two were arguing, Aizawa stood behind them keeping an eye on Izuku who seemed to be frozen in place looking at the ball. He was waiting for it all throughout the rest of the tests and he knew this kid had only one more chance to really show off his power. And if he was stupid enough to do it then he was going to have to set some harsh reality into his brain.

As Izuku stared at the ball, he kept thinking about the people who supported him on his way to this school. His mother and All Might for one, and then there came his two friends who got in with him. Camilla and Ochako were over there silently rooting for him to succeed. This meant he had to bring some pain to himself to show he belonged here.

'I don't have a choice! I have to use it now! I'm not gonna let any one of them down!'

As he reeled back his arm to throw the ball, he began to charge up his arm with One For All's power. Lines of red energy crisscrossed on his skin as he motioned to throw the ball and was preparing himself for immense pain. Then he released the ball from his hand.

"46 meters!"

Once his distance was called out, Izuku stood frozen yet again in shock. His arm was still intact and there was no pain. For a reason he couldn't comprehend, One For All just…stopped right before he let go of the ball.

"What….what happened? I was trying to use it. Where did it go?"

"I erased your quirk."

Sounding more awake than he had all day, Aizawa's voice drew Izuku to look at him and immediately step back intimidated by the sight. The long scarf around his teacher's neck was moving like it was alive and unraveling like it was a snake being charmed. The long unkempt black hair was now risen up above his head and both of his eyes glowed a very harsh red.

"Every year on that test, the judges mostly look for the kids who have the flashiest of quirks. It's the least rational thing of all."

Camilla didn't need to use the Force to sense the ager dripping off her new teacher's voice. Literally everyone could tell.

"Someone like you should have never even been considered to be accepted into this school."

Izuku took another step back as Aizawa got closer to him, afraid of what he might do.

"Hold on a sec. What did you just-ah! Wait! Those goggles!"

Two emerald eyes spied a pair of yellow goggles hanging from Aizawa's neck, previously concealed by the overly long scarf.

"I know who you are! Your quirk allows you to look at someone and completely cancel out their powers! You're the erasure hero: Eraser Head!"

"Eraser?"

"I've never heard of the guy."

"I think he's one of those underground heroes."

Ochako was very much not liking the look her new teacher was giving her friend.

"He doesn't have to be such a jerk about it. Right, Camilla?"

She looked to the Jedi hoping for a quiet backup but instead was met with the girl looking just as frozen in place as Izuku was right now.

"Camilla? What's wrong?"

"Did Izuku just say…he can erase quirks?"

Once Ochako heard Camilla's question, she understood immediately. A teacher with a quirk to take away other quirks and one of his students technically didn't have one. The Force was a whole other thing entirely. And if Aizawa decided to do to Camilla what he was doing to Izuku right now, then they were in for a bigger problem. Or even worse, what if he had tried to erase it already and it didn't work?

As the class mumbled amongst themselves and the two girls kept dwelling on the potential problems that could arise, Eraser stopped his approach to Izuku and stood there before him. His glare never left the boy and the fact that he refused to blink made him all the more intimidating to the freckled boy. Truth be told he wasn't THAT much taller than the kid, but to Izuku, Shota Aizawa, Eraser Head, he looked taller than All Might himself.

"So what was your big plan? Use your quirk and break your bones again so you need to be helped off the field? Because if that's going to be your plan whenever think of using your power, than you're as far off from being a hero than any other kid I've ever met."

"Wait, hold on. That's not what I was trying to-"

As Izuku scrambled to give Aizawa an excuse, the straps of that scarf wrapped around him and dragged him across the dirt until he was inches apart from his teacher. He now had an up close view of his quirk on full power and the glowing effect it caused his eyes scared him to death.

"It doesn't matter what you were trying to do. It wouldn't change the fact that if you were put into a fight, you'd be nothing more than a liability to your allies. Your recklessness reminds me of a certain hero who saved over 1000 people and became a living legend. But even with that sort of drive pushing you, the truth remains that you would be worthless to others around you if you're put out of commission after only throwing one attack. I'm sorry Midoriya but the hard reality is you can't become a hero. Not with your power."

Forgetting their concerns from earlier, Ochako and Camilla were scowling. Both of them wanted to go over there and tell Aizawa just why Izuku had no control but they couldn't do so without spilling the secret. So they had to just stand there and watch their teacher tear into their friend and leave his dream in shambles. When Ochako looked to her alien friend she could definitely see her frown was firm. But she did begin to panic when she looked down and saw her left arm began to rise up. When Camilla began to angle her palm outwards, she was stopped when Ochako slapped her hand to her wrist and pushed it back down.

"Camilla, don't!" She whisper yelled.

Regaining a bit more of her senses, Camilla lowered her arm and both girls hoped their teacher didn't see that. Thankfully he didn't notice. He had his attention on Izuku the whole time. Still though, she couldn't help but see some of her old masters in Aizawa. Not Master Morlev, the other ones on the Jedi temple who wrote her off as some kind of novelty. Other kids around her were learning things, she was kept out saying it wouldn't be worth it to teach her since she was blind. If it weren't for Masters Yoda, Obi-Wan, and Morlev teaching her anyway, along with some piloting lessons with R3 and Anakin, she would never be as skilled as she was today. This Aizawa, he wasn't like them. All she could sense was his anger, his rage, his…grief...and pain.

Katsuki was just grinning. Finally it looked like Izuku as a cheater was being exposed. He knew he didn't have a quirk. The loser must have told some lie to the teachers to get him to take the test. As for those stupid rescue points, he wasn't sure how he racked up so much but he knew they were worthless in the end. You get to the top by beating down villains. Simple as that.

Over with Izuku, he was reeling from a very bad case of Déjà vu. It was the same thing. First All Might told him he couldn't be a hero without a quirk. Then he changed his mind and he chose him to inherit One For All. Now here he was. He had a quirk, a powerful one, and even now his teacher was telling him he couldn't be a hero with it. No matter where he went, Izuku was told no. For some reason, it felt like the universe had just decided to pull a huge prank on him. And it made him mad.

Aizawa closed his eyes, and the scarf returned to its previous place around his neck. His hair also fell back down. When his eyes opened up again, they no longer had the intimidating red glow.

"I gave you back your impractical quirk. Take your final throw and be done with it."

With that, he walked back to where he was and left Izuku alone.

"Do you think Mr. Aizawa gave Midoriya some advice?" Tenya wondered.

"He probably told Deku to start packing." Katsuki surmised quickly.

"Don't worry, mademoiselles. I am here for both of you."

He placed his hand on Camilla's shoulder as a gesture of kindness and a way to show off his elegant manners. His response however was anything but elegant.

"Um…who are you?" Ochako asked totally confused.

"And please take your hand off me." Camilla put her hand to his own to brush it off.

For the third time, the Force whisked her away to her vision again and another figure at the far left end of the pack this time took shape. It looked to have the same head and hairstyle of this new boy but he like Tenya seemed to be wearing some clunky knight's armor. The light over his heart showing his connection to the Force was a brilliant grey….but…it felt different.

When she came to, the young Padawan jumped a little as she looked up and down this boy with his hand still on his shoulder. And her hand was still on his.

"Are you quite alright?" He asked her sweetly.

Maybe a little too sweetly.

"Uh…y-yeah. I'm fine. What's your name?"

"Why it's Aoyama, miss. Yuga Aoyama."

"Right. Yuga. Please, take your hand off me."

This time instead of touching him, she waved her hand and with a small tug of the Force, Yuga's hand was pulled off of Camilla's shoulder. He shrugged and turned his attention back to Izuku. Camilla and Ochako did as well as they both hoped against hope that Izuku could find a way to impress Aizawa enough to stay.

'Just calm your mind, Izuku. Don't let your fears and frustrations overtake you.'

'Just keep positive, Deku. You're amazing! I know you can do this! Now show everyone else!"

Izuku's grip on the ball tightened.

'I changed All Might's mind about me. I can do it with Mr. Aizawa too!'

'So what's he gonna do? Break himself again and have to forfeit the rest of the challenges? Or will he keep refusing to use it and take last place anyway? Either way, it's obvious he doesn't belong here.'

As Aizawa kept his eye on his student, he was unaware that there were currently two teachers there with eyes locked onto Izuku. From behind a nearby building, All Might was peeking around wanting to get a better look. He had seen the whole interaction between Eraser Head and his successor. Needless to say he wasn't really happy about the words Aizawa chose to judge Izuku with. As much as he wanted to go out there and put an end to it, he knew that wouldn't look good for Izuku. He had to let him figure a way out of this on his own.

'There are mostly two types of heroes in this world. Heroes like me who look good in the spotlight, and then there are those like Aizawa who make it a point to avoid the media as much as possible. He thinks they do nothing but get in our way.'

Over with Izuku, he knew he clenched the ball tighter knowing he had to do something. With as much strength and courage as he could muster, he stepped forward and wound up his arm.

'Mr. Aizawa is right about one thing! If I keep hurting myself as much as I already have than there's no possible way I'll become a pro! I'm starting out so far behind everyone else when it comes to control. So I'll do what I can, right here and right now!'

Aizawa and All Might had their eyes focused solely on Izuku as he took his throw. The former was expecting one of two things. Either a weak throw or the ball would be launched at the cost of a broken limb.

'SMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH!'

When Izuku let go of the ball, a shockwave of power burst from him and the ball took off like a gunshot into the air, stunning the whole crowd of classmates watching him. For Camilla, this was her first time seeing One For All get used and the slight breeze she felt gave her an idea of just how much power her friend just exerted. It stunned her to say the least.

The ball finally came down and the distance rang up on Aizawa's phone. 705.3 meters. Then he looked to Izuku to see him…only with a broken finger.

"Mr. Aizawa…"

The green haired boy flashed him a pained smile and clenched his fist even with his finger broken.

"You see? I'm not down. I'm still standing."

It was very rare that Shota Aizawa was impressed with a student after only knowing them for less than a day, but he had to give Izuku his props when they were due. It wasn't ideal seeing as how he was still in pain, but the boy managed to cause as little of it as possible as a response to what was said to him.

"This kid." He had an impressed smile on his face.

He wasn't the only one. All Might had noticed exactly how Izuku had pulled it off and couldn't help but swell with pride at his successor's quick adaptability.

'I will admit, young Midoriya. I was worried about you but it seems those feelings were all for naught. You knew you had to use your quirk but also that you couldn't use it at full power or else you'd take yourself out. So you sent the power of One For All coursing through you at the last point of contact your hand had on the ball; your fingertip! You reduce the damage done to yourself while at the same time maximizing the throw! My goodness! Young Midoriya, when did you become so cool?!'

"Did you see that?! He threw it over seven hundred meters! Just like the other guy!" One student with buff muscles and puffy lips announced.

Ochako was over the moon.

"Yes! He's finally showing everyone what he can do!"

"But he seems to have broken his finger in the process. Just like in the exam. This quirk is quite peculiar." Tenya observed.

"It wasn't a very pretty throw." Yuga added on.

"Pretty has hardly anything to do with our rankings, Yuga." Camilla was sure of that.

While everyone else was looking impressed at Izuku's power, there was one who was the exact opposite. Katsuki had his jaw dropped so far it could probably put a hole in the ground if it went just a bit lower. What he just saw was literally the last thing he would have ever expected to see before he died. Izuku has power. Not just a power. A strong one. There was no way. None of what he was looking at right now could come together logically inside his head.

'What the shit was that?! Deku can't have a quirk! If he did he would've gotten it when we were four years old like everyone else does! This is impossible!'

As he stood there, gaping upon his ex friend clenching his hand with a broken finger, Katsuki's mind traveled back to that day Deku argued against him at middle school.

"As for me, someone who I look up to told me I have what it takes to be a hero. They, along with my new friends, believe in me. They put so much effort into helping me get good enough to take the test…so I'm going to U.A. I got in same as you. And you can't stop me!"

His anger began to boil and the sweat on his palms began to spark.

'That bastard is hiding something! And I'm gonna find out what! Even if I have to pull it out of his ass!'

"HEY!"

Every other student there was surprised when Katsuki took off from them and began to charge at Izuku with his palm raised and ready to strike with it.

"DEKU YOU BASTARD! YOU TELL ME HOW YOU DID THAT RIGHT NOW OR YOU'RE DEAD!"

When Izuku finally registered what was happening, he let loose a small shriek and jumped back. Ochako was ready to charge after Katsuki and tackle him to the ground and once more, Camilla was raising her hand up to call him back with the Force. Someone reacted faster though. Before either of the girls could make a move, a familiar scarf whipped into view and wrapped itself around Katsuki's body, binding him and resisting his attempts to get free. The ash blonde boy tried to fire off an explosion, but nothing happened. The sweat just dripped off his palm to the ground. Still plenty angry but now confused, Katsuki strained to turn his head and look at his teacher. Once more, Aizawa was using Erasure as was evident by his hair standing on end.

"Why can't I move?! And what the hell is this frickin scarf made of?!"

While Katsuki was barking, Aizawa barely raised his voice at all.

"It's not a scarf. It's a capture weapon made out of carbon fiber and a special metal alloy. Now calm yourself, Bakugo and stand down. I don't know what you were doing but unless this is a sanctioned training battle, which it's not, attacking another student is not allowed."

He kept growling. Katsuki was angry that this guy was stopping him from getting his hands on the worthless Deku. No other from elementary or middle school ever had.

"I would very much advise against making me use my quirk so much. It gives me serious dry eye."

Finding it futile to thrash in the scarf's grip, Katsuki loosened up and stood back up straight with less of a will to charge Izuku. Seeing as how he wasn't moving, Aizawa called his scarf back and closed his eyes letting his hair fall.

"Stop wasting time. I told you it's precious. Sharro, you're next. Step up."

Carefully, Izuku crept around the fuming Katsuki and rushed back to the group where Ochako was waiting for him. As he walked by Camilla on her way to the circle, she patted him on the shoulder and complimented his throw. Katsuki watched the whole thing seething.

'Before he met those two bitches, he was nothing! He was smaller than a stupid bug! That I could crush if I wanted to!'

But now that weakling was gone. In his place stood someone who in Katsuki Bakugo's mind needed a strong reminder of where he really stood on the food chain.

As he walked back to rejoin the class, Katsuki made no attempt to hide is dislike for Camilla and scowled at her. Whatever good it did him anyways. Not like she could see it. While Izuku was getting his finger looked at by Ochako and Tenya, Camilla stepped away from the rest of her class and out to where her friend was just standing. As she entered the circle, she held out her hand in her teacher's direction. The ball floated out of his hand and stopped a couple inches away from Camilla's open hand. She turned around fully to face the field and kept the ball rotating around her hand like a planet around the sun. As she stood there waiting, the class all watched her intently wondering how she was gonna go about this throw without really touching the ball. As they watched, they couldn't help but mumble amongst each other again.

"So how do you think she's doing all of this?" A boy with yellow hair with a black lightning bolt asked anyone near him.

"I don't know." The girl with pink hair and small horns protruding from the top of her head replied. "Though that has to be one hell of a quirk she has if she was able to get number one on the practical exam."

Katsuki just kept growling as he couldn't help but overhear the pink girl's words. Izuku was pissing him off. This Sharro girl was pissing her off. Round Face was pissing him off too because she won't stop glaring at him.

"Do you need those sunglasses, Sharro?" Aizawa asked the girl.

Confused, but hoping this didn't go in the direction she worried it could, Camilla turned around to face him while keeping the ball suspended above her palm.

"My glasses?" She hoped she didn't hear him right.

"Yes. Are they a support item you need for any reason?"

Only four out of the other twenty students had a clue as to what Aizawa was about to bring forward and they didn't know why. Not that one of them, Katsuki, really cared. Camilla herself, she looked like she had just been caught holding something she wasn't supposed to as she tried to figure a way out of this and failing to do so.

"Um…well….no not really…"

"Then take them off." Aizawa demanded.

Izuku and Ochako tensed up as they wondered why their teacher was forcing this. They knew there was a chance the teacher would know ahead of time about her condition but why was he outing her to the class like this?

"Wait…why do-"

"Because I'm telling you to. You shouldn't be worried about hiding something when you shouldn't have to. Now take them off."

There was an angle here. There had to be but for all she tried, Camilla couldn't figure out what it was. He sounded serious when he said she shouldn't have to hide but there was something more to Aizawa's insistence. There had to be. It couldn't be out of downright cruelty. Could it? Suddenly a new wave of feelings she was sensing caused her to drop the ball. It wasn't just the teacher who wanted her to take her glasses off now. The majority of the class now felt curious. On one hand, just ripping them off and getting the initial shock over with was probably fine. But she could just see it in her future. A repeat performance of her years in the temple being tormented and left out because of something biology decided to deny her for unknown reasons. She could hear their whispers now.

"What do you think she's hiding?"

"Being brought out of the darkness by force. I do not like it."

"If the sunglasses truly do serve no purpose other than style than it makes sense our teacher would ask them to be removed."

Even Tenya was curious now. Great. Now that everyone wanted to know, it was inevitable. She could refuse again and get in trouble with her teacher, then have the kids come to her one by one asking about it. Or she could do what she had to now. Slowly, her hand reached up and her fingers gripped the right side temple of her sunglasses. After a few more moments of hesitation, Camilla pulled the glasses off her face and kept her eyes wide open.

The gasp from the class was expected, but not pleasant to hear.

"There's…there's no way that can be right." The boy with the tail barely spoke above a whisper.

"How is that even possible?" The tall girl with the side ponytail had a hand over her mouth in shock.

The boy with the black lightning bolt in his blonde hair raised a shaky hand pointing at the girl in disbelief.

"You mean to tell us…that the girl who dominated the entrance exam…and is currently outclassing us all here…she's…"

He didn't need to finish. Almost everyone else around him asked the same question in unison as they now saw the eyes of Camilla Sharro in their milky grey wonder.

"SHE'S BLIND?!"

The floodgates were open and there was no closing them now. Izuku and Ochako were scrambling to try and find a way to make them all forget about it but it seemed they were too stunned by this to do so. Even Shoto who disregarded her before now seemed to be a little bit interested in her.

"I can't believe we didn't notice it when we saved her!"

"Well she did pass out right after we did. Ribbit."

"I thought I was seeing things out of pain that day. But no…she's really blind."

"Was she injured recently? Maybe we should get her to Recovery Girl's office."

"You think maybe she wandered into the test by accident and they just let her pass?"

Glancing back at Aizawa, Camilla was still looking for a reason as to why he made her do what she just did. She could feel it, just like she thought she would. Their never ending pity and sympathy that she didn't want. And it made her angry. So angry in fact she tossed the sunglasses in her hand away and used that same hand to make the softball by her foot launch straight up into the air. Seeing the ball move made the rest of the class silence themselves as they were curious what was going to happen now. Most of them just hoped whatever she did, she sent the ball in the right direction. The ball stopped ascending a couple seconds later and began to fall back down to where Camilla stood. She herself was rearing back her left arm and gathering as much of the Force as she could muster before the ball reached its "launch point". She didn't have to wait long.

When the ball was low enough, Camilla thrust her left arm forward and unleashed a powerful Force push upon the ball sending it flying away with nearly as much power as Katsuki or Izuku demonstrated. The class stood there and watched the ball soar until it finally hit the ground. None of them were sure exactly if she went further or shorter. It was a pretty close call. Aizawa's phone bleeped with a number on it and he turned it around. It read 653.7 meters. Not as far but still nothing to sneeze at. Not that she seemed to care or even notice anyway. Once she was finished with her throw, she stepped out of the circle and called back the sunglasses to her hand with her power but didn't put them on. All she did was wordlessly rejoin them and take her spot next to Ochako with the same glare still on her face.

Nervously, the boy with the oddly shaped elbows stepped away to take his throw while everyone else kept glancing between him and Camilla. The pink girl with the horns on her head certainly didn't intend to make her mad with the whole "wandered in" comment. She was just surprised is all and didn't know what to think in that shock. She had never met a blind person before. She didn't know what else to do. Straightening her face and her body, she approached the girl and tapped her shoulder. Not just Camilla's face turned to face this girl. Ochako's neck turned and then Izuku did as well. Both of them didn't look that happy either.

"I'm sorry." The pink girl admitted. "I didn't mean to offend you. None of us did, really. We were just…uh…totally not expecting that."

None of their faces changed. Camilla did know she was telling the truth though. She could sense this girl's genuine guilt.

"Could we maybe…start over?" She begged while also holding out her hand. "I'm Mina Ashido. And I think you're a completely awesome badass, eyes or not!"

Izuku, Ochako, and Camilla all eased up at the gesture. It was clear she did want to be friends whether they could sense her feelings or not. With a shrug, the ruby haired teen grasped Mina's hand to shake.

Trip number four into the void happened upon skin contact. Over near where Yuga took shape, one other cloud began to form a body's silhouette. This one matched Mina's shape right down to the horns protruding out of her head. She had a pink light like Ochako but Mina's was a darker tint. Like all the rest, Mina, when formed, rose her arm up making eight out of the twenty figures complete and reaching for her.

To Mina, the girl just closed her eyes out of nowhere the moment their hands grasped and she jumped a moment later like she had just woken up from a dream. Shaking her head to get reoriented, Camilla shook Mina's hand and smiled to brush it off.

"Likewise, Mina."

Aizawa kept his close attention on Camilla even while the other kids took their throws and kept glancing at her looking unsure about a lot of things. He could recognize those faces. They doubted her, they were confused, they were thinking even though she had clearly shown them she outclassed the rest of them, that maybe they should go easy on her.

'One way or another, tomorrow a lot of them will learn a valuable lesson about underestimation and why you should never do it. Perfect.'

He tucked his mouth under his skin a bit to make sure his class didn't see his smirk.

From there on out, the rest of the tests went off without another hitch like the ball throw. The endurance run, sit ups, and seated toe touch were relatively boring compared to the rest of the tests. In those three last ones, very few of them could fully show off how useful their quirks were. Mostly just Tenya again in terms of speed for the run but for sit ups and the toe touch, it was all a matter of personal muscle and flexibility. The muscular boy with the puffed lips showed up the rest of the class in sit ups and Mina had the class beat in flexibility when she leaned over so much she was able to grasp her hands around the arches of her feet without fail.

At the sight of that little stretching show, the small purple haired boy was seen drooling quite aroused at the sight. This didn't go unnoticed by a lot of his classmates however. He soon received a very harsh jolt when another girl jammed one of her earphone jacks into his own ear.

Soon the tests were over and Aizawa gathered them back together where they began.

"Alright. I have your scores here based on how you performed during the tests. Let where you stand in these rankings show how much you need to improve."

The teacher pressed a button on his phone again and a ranking board with twenty one names was shown. Slowly each kid scanned over the board to find their own name and a few cheers were heard. Izuku was panicking as he looked further and further down the list until he saw where his name lay.

Yup. There he was alright. Right there at the bottom where he thought he would end up. He did great in the ball throw but that was his only good score. The only test where he used One For All. And as he surmised throughout the rest of the tests, it wasn't enough. Ochako was telling Camilla that she had gotten first place again. It didn't bring as much satisfaction to the Jedi as she was hoping it would. She was still in a bit of a sour mood despite Mina trying to make her feel better earlier. The emotions she was still picking up on did not help.

On any other day, Katsuki would be laughing at Deku's misfortune. Of course he placed last. But he was more focused on another number. 4th. He came in 4th. The blind girl had shown him up again! And not only her this time! But those other two who scored higher! Not right. Not right! Only one day into U.A. and nothing has happened today that he was ready for!

"Oh Deku…"

His attention went to him again as he looked at his former friend being comforted by those two girls again. At least he was given no choice now about resigning to his fate.

"Oh one more thing. I was lying before. None of you are going home."

For nearly everyone there, it felt like time had just froze after they heard their teacher say that. It picked up again when this time, Aizawa made no attempt to hide his amused smile from them.

"That was just a rational deception I used on you to make sure you performed your best during the tests."

"WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!"

There were only four people who didn't react so surprised at this. The first was Camilla who only looked confused by the words Aizawa chose. The second was Shoto who really didn't seem to care either way. The third was Katsuki who was grinding his teeth at the realization that he was stuck with Deku as his classmate for another year. And the fourth was the tall girl with the side ponytail who just looked at her classmates with her own confusion.

"Wait, none of you really knew it was a lie? Huh. Maybe I should've said something."

Clearly none of her classmates were amused with this at all.

"That's it for today. Head back to the classroom and pick up a syllabus. If any of you happen to pick one up that's in Braille, then make sure to give it to Sharro. Midoriya,"

Aizawa walked over to the green haired boy and held up a slip of paper.

"Take this to the old lady and have her fix you up. And try not to make a habit of hurting yourself too much while you're here. Got it?"

"Um! Y-yes sir!" Izuku replied back eagerly as he took the paper.

Aizawa then began to walk away but was stopped when Tenya wanted to address something.

"But sir, what about our class numbers?! There are still twenty one of us here!"

His response was Aizawa looking back at him in silence for a moment before his eyes swept over the rest of his new class.

"That there are. Which means you'll just have to work all the more harder to keep convincing me that letting that happen wasn't a mistake. Hope you're up to the task. And uh…welcome to U.A."

That was it. It was finally over. They were free from this guy, for now. As the students began to head for the locker rooms, Aizawa went another way to have some alone time with his thoughts in his short walk back to the classroom.

"Aizawa that was a couple of rotten moves you pulled out there!"

It seems fate wasn't kind to him today. Looking as tired as he was this morning, the erasure hero turned to look at the symbol of peace.

"All Might. So you were watching? What? Not standing in front of a camera today?"

All Might wasn't going to have the taunting. He was used to it. He wanted to get to the point right here and now.

"A rational deception? A cute lie but you're not exactly known for going easy on students who you think doesn't belong here. That's how it was last year wasn't it? You expelled your entire first year glass because they didn't fit your bill of what it takes to become a hero. You had every intention to send last place home."

As much as an oaf as All Might could be at times, let it never be said that Aizawa ever thought the number one was stupid.

"So the fact that your whole class is still here and not expelled means you changed your mind at the last moment! And that means you too see the same potential in young Midoriya as I do!"

Aizawa only smirked slyly at All Might's words.

"It sounds like you've been watching the whole time."

All Might froze at the accusation knowing he couldn't refute it. Aizawa just began to walk away."

"It's a little too early in the year to play favorites isn't it? As for Midoriya, I'll admit he has some potential. If he had none I would have had no problem sending him home right after class was over. It's cruel to let a kid keep dreaming about something that will never come true."

He said what he needed to say. Now All Might would leave him alone.

"One more thing."

Dammit.

"Why did you force young Sharro to expose her eyes to her class like that? What gives you the right to out her like that when she clearly wanted to do it on her own time?"

Sighing once more, Aizawa turned around to face All Might once more, beyond ready to take another nap.

"A lesson I thought of when I saw her during the entrance exam. One that I'm hoping you will help with tomorrow."

All Might froze once more not knowing where he was going with this.

"You were here the whole time. Right?" Aizawa asked knowing he didn't have to. "You saw them react to her eyes. How they all thought for a moment that she got in here because of pity? Even after she just showed right in front of them all how powerful she was, they still let a particular seed get planted in their heads. Kids are smart. But they're also stupid, All Might. It's our job to make them less stupid. Tomorrow, I trust this seed gets uprooted from all of them."

He walked away once more. At this point, it wouldn't matter if All Might called him back once more. Aizawa could hear his sleeping bag calling his name and he wanted to get to it.

"Your words and actions may be harsh, Aizawa. But in your own unique way, you are a kind man. It's clear however, that we are going to have a problem."

'I'm just thankful he didn't use his quirk on young Sharro. I feared the worst when she took her throw.'

With that, the rest of the day went by quickly. After Izuku got his finger smooched on by Recovery Girl once more, he met up with Camilla and Ochako outside the front door. The former was wearing her sunglasses again this time to make sure no one else saw all of her. Enough people had seen that today.

From the moment they got to the locker rooms, hardly a word was spoken amongst one another in the girls' room. Camilla was the first one to get dressed back fully and she flipped her glasses back on the moment she was before heading out into the hallways of school. Ochako was soon to follow but the other girls kind of regretted not talking to her. Mina had tried to smooth things over but the others were kind of hitting themselves for not taking initiative like she did. Maybe tomorrow would fare better results.

With the day over, the trio began to head out of the school and to the train station.

"Well…this was certainly a day. Wasn't it?" Izuku asked still woozy from Recovery Girl's quirk.

"That's one way of putting it." Ochako pouted. "I was kind of hoping for just a day where we get to know our new classmates. Not get thrown into a fake threat of expulsion just to push us.

Camilla opened her mouth to correct her but decided not to. They were finally calmed down after the whole ordeal and thought it best not to tell them that Aizawa wasn't lying. She could sense his feelings the whole time and knew he had every intention to send one of them home.

"Well the important thing is we all survived right?" She asked her two friends.

"Yeah. Day one is down. Now bring on the rest!" Ochako threw a confident fist in the air.

"Pardon me."

Suddenly the three of them stopped. When they turned around, they saw Tenya was standing behind them.

"Would it be alright if I joined you on your walk to the train station?" He asked politely.

The three looked back and forth with each other for a few moments while they thought. Tenya did come off as a little too harsh at first but his words and manners showed them that he was capable of admitting he was wrong. When it came down to it, he was just very serious about his education. And that they could respect.

"Sure. You're more than welcome to, Iida." Izuku warmly said.

Tenya smiled and began to walk with them on the other side of Camilla. While they walked down the street, he kept turning his head trying to say something a few times before it finally came out.

"I apologize if I offended you earlier." He said to the girl. "If I made it sound like I feel superior to you just because my eyes work, albeit with glasses, I am truly sorry, Sharro."

Izuku and Ochako smiled again at the apology. Camilla couldn't help but do so as well. This guy's heart was in the right place after all.

"It's alright, Tenya. I shouldn't have reacted so harshly. I was just mad that Mr. Aizawa practically forced me to take the glasses off and show you all."

"But maybe it's a good thing well all know. Isn't it? Now there are no more secrets among us. A class should be up front and honest with each other."

Izuku, Ochako, and Camilla all counted themselves grateful in that moment for getting better at hiding their nervous expressions in public. Better, but definitely not good either. Izuku and Ochako both got a little sweaty which they played off as heat and Camilla just let her eyes go wide underneath the lens of her sunglasses.

"Yeah...no secrets. All up front." Camilla parroted not knowing what else to say.

"Yes, exactly!" Tenya smiled again. "But Sharro may I please ask. How can you see? You've demonstrated plenty of times today that you are capable of knowing where things are. Would it be too much to ask just how it is you sense your surroundings?"

As much as she didn't want to lie to the guy who just went on about the importance of honesty, the importance of keeping what she is a secret overrode Camilla's willingness to tell the truth. As nice as Tenya was, she still didn't trust him completely. Not yet at least. Even if he was part of this vision she keeps going back to, she still needed more answers.

"The name of my quirk, Tenya, is Forceful Mind."

Back in the teacher's lounge at the U.A. facility, All Might was sitting down and looking over one of his old costumes that he had chosen specifically to teach class in tomorrow and thinking back to three kids who he had come to care for.

"So they survived their first day. Not bad. But other than the fact that Eraser Head didn't expel any of them, it's not something to write home about."

All Might knew that all too well. He may not be the most experienced when it comes to teaching but this was his alma mater. He knew that happened today was barely a taste of what was yet to come in their high school careers.

"Enjoy your relaxation while you can, kids. Tomorrow, that's when your real training begins."

A/N

OOOOOOOOOOOOOKAY! Some of you have been wondering what has taken me so long. *Looks at word count* Yeah there's that. But there's also life things happening right now. Trying to find a new place to live, and also trying my hand at being a DM for a new Star Wars themed DnD campaign. So hoping that goes well. In the meantime, I'll try to make chapters shorter to avoid long waits but I can't promise that. Hell I didn't certain mean for this one to get so damn long. But here we are.

Anyway, if you head over to this story on archiveofourown you'll see some new artwork of Camilla posted at the bottom of this chapter. And until the next time my friends, see you and be well.
