This story was inspired by the Hunsford proposal scene from the 2005 movie. I had a P&P marathon playing one night when writing a couple weeks back and happened to look up just at the moment when it looks like Elizabeth and Darcy are about to kiss, right before he walks away. I remember thinking ... what if they did? Let's find out!
