Chapter 4

"Where….am I…..?"

Nepgear said as she looked around her surroundings while she was floating at a stationary spot after she had woken up from the blast she took.

It was pitch black all around from what she had seen so far, with not a single light or anything other than the darkness.

"This means I have died huh….figures…." She spoke to herself since there was no one around her.

"Uh, actually you're not dead…" Said a voice other than Nepgear.

"Who goes there?!" Nepgear was shocked as she heard the deep voice, she was sure that she was alone there.

"Oh sorry, forgot that I haven't materialized myself here" Suddenly there was a dark purple energy mist forming together not far from Nepgear.

As it had finished merging, what was in front of Nepgear was the cursed sword.

"Gehaburn.."

"Yes indeed, In the flesh itself. Or In this case, In the metal itself….hehe" Gehaburn chuckled a bit, though in Nepgear's eyes the sword only moved up and down as it had no facial expression.

It IS a sword, to begin with anyway.

"Yeah…..HEY, what do you mean that I'm not dead?!" Nepgear shouted a bit as she realized what Gehaburn had said before.

"As I said, you are not dead"

"I know that, but how?"

"When all of the blasts was getting close to you I had to take action since you were still shocked from all the betrayal from your once-called friends. If only you had summoned me you could defend yourselves with ease" Gehaburn explained, It then continued "If only you had summoned me you could defend and fend for yourselves with ease, though I understand as to why you didn't at that time"

"Sorry about that…tch, fucking traitors" Nepgear was annoyed at that because she was still furious at her people and her friend's actions. After all, she had done to make Gamindustri a better place this is what they gave her, betrayal.

"Oh yeah, what exactly was your action?" She asked as Gehaburn didn't explain that part.

"I teleport you to another place somewhere that your….former friends wouldn't know where you were, especially that little tome fairy," Gehaburn said, It was being wary of Histoire's sensors on CPUs specifically

"In this pitch-black darkness?" Nepgear asked

"No, this is just your inner consciousness. Your body needs rest from all the damage and If you are wondering what place your body is at you will know soon enough as wake up"

"I see, but why did you do all that? You could've just found a new owner after I die" She asked another question.

"Because you are the perfect owner that I have finally found after a long time ever since I was created. Sure there were other owners in the past but you are special. Well, first of all, you're smart and can resist the dark energy I'm emitting, not many can handle that, need I remind you, and all those who can't control and handle me ended up committing suicide or being crazy and mindless. Also, I don't want you to accept your fate of being betrayed just like that. It's not fair after all" Gehaburn confessed.

"Wow, that's a kinda nice thing for you to say to me, thanks" Nepgear smiled slightly at that, she thought that she was alone with all that had happened to her but now she has someone or something that understands her.

"No problem, but enough about that. What you gonna do now once you wake up?" Gehaburn asked in turn.

"It's obvious, I'll get my revenge on ALL who have made me like this. It is time to destroy them all!" Nepgear answered with rage and a grin on her face.

"Oh, I do love the sound of that" If Gehaburn had a face, it would've made a nasty grin. "But how are you gonna do that? Kill em all style?" It asked.

"Yes, but I'm gonna need something to do a full-scale revenge"

"And what's something you mentioned?"

"An army and a 'certain' power" She answered the question.

"Interesting, I'll look forward to it"Said Gehaburn, at the same time there was light coming out from Nepgear's right side. "Oooh, seems you are ready to wake up"

"I guess, this is not a coincidence right? with all the explanation and plan told, and then boom a new path opens like some RPG story progression"

"Perhaps, but I don't know anyway. All that matters is that you can get up now. Also, a reminder that I won't be able to talk with you outside of this consciousness"

"And why is that?" Said Nepgear, confused at that info.

"My powers are not enough to do that since I have some limitations. Yes I know that you had already powered me up with the life of your previous CPUs, but that's only for killing strong beings" Explained Gehaburn "Don't worry though, I'll always be by your side"

"I won't, cause now we are one of the same. As for the power problem, I'll deal with that".

"I'll be waiting. Now go and do your thing Nepgear"

"Alright, see you later Gehaburn. And thank you" As soon as she had finished speaking, she vanished when she went inside the light.

"And thank you for being the best owner that I ever had"

Gehaburn then dissolved its form and became one with the darkness around it.

Nepgear suddenly woke up again but this time she was not floating, she was sitting on the dark brown-ish ground. She punched herself to check if she was still alive and this is real, just to make sure.

"Yep, still alive and not in some mental realm anymore," Nepgear said to herself while caressing her cheek from the pain she put upon herself.

She checked her surroundings for a while, red and dark skies with purple thunders, messy buildings, and some rubbles with several dark curvy tubes attached and connected from one ground to the other, there's also a few yellow rivers flowing on the ground and a tall tower with green lights that can be seen from a distance.

Nepgear finally realized where she was right now, she was at the infamous Gamindustri Graveyard.

'Thanks again Gehaburn, you just made my destination easier' Said Nepgear as she summoned her cursed sword and looked at it with a grin.

"Now to look for that bitch…." As she said that, Nepgear walked on to the place where she and the makers had a final battle against the Deity of Sin.

The place was not too far so Nepgear had already arrived at the place, she then focused on sensing the Deity's Soul. After she finished doing so, Nepgear then approached it and the being began to speak.

"I see you have returned, little one. You didn't heed my words carefully which eventually lead you to your defeat against Gamindustri and its people, you couldn't live with your failure and where did all that bring you? back to me" Mocked Arfoire in her spirit form with the appearance of its true form that looks like a combination of a rabbit and a valkyrie.

"Shut the fuck up with that reference, and as expected you already knew the events that already happened recently. Then you also knew about their preparation for my demise?" Nepgear asked. If Arfoire already knew about that then surely she must've known the rest, especially being an audience of it all.

"Yes, it happened even before that Leanbox mascot declared war against you"

"What?"

"To put it specifically, they've been analyzing your Sharicite bit by bit to cut off its connection to you permanently and then integrate its functions for weapons and defense. If you're wondering how they can analyze it for so long, think of the ones to whom you gave them access to the chamber" Described Arfoire to the fallen goddess.

Nepgear pondered her words, then she perceived something. 'It's IF and Compa isn't it? Damnit, no wonder they took their tasks longer than I had anticipated. I fucking trusted them too much!' She thought to herself with more anger welling up inside her.

"Seems you got some good laugh from all of this aren't you?" Nepgear frowned at the soul of the dead deity while crossing her arms on her chest.

"HAHAHAHAHA, well yes of course! What kind of an evil being that didn't laugh at all of it" Arfoire laughed at her, afterward she let out a big sigh and started to explain something else.

"But alas it will end. Although their plan was indeed well thought, there's only one problem they had left. The Sharicite won't be able to grow and evolve further as it doesn't have any CPU as its requirement. Gamindustri will fall in time as the monster evolve and grow stronger whilst the crystal stays stagnant and eventually rot" Arfoire explained

"I didn't even know that's a thing," Nepgear said as she was still confused by that info.

"How would you even know if it's from Histoire's book? Even if you did ask her regarding it you would have to wait a long time since It's Histoire we are talking about right now"

"Oh, right…" Nepgear believed that if it's Histoire, the tome would need a lot of time to find the knowledge from the book and Nepgear doesn't have a lot of spare time in waiting.

"Anyway…" Nepgear took a deep breath and then began spoke again to Arfoire "Give me your powers so I can become the Deity of Sin"

"Are you sure about that child? the risk for you to harness all of my power is-"

"I DON'T FUCKING CARE!" Her shout and clenching fists had made Arfoire twitch and stopped her from speaking "Those assholes abandoned me like I'm an expendable thing, even after all what I have done to guide them! I want those pieces of shit DEAD!" She exclaimed

"Well said, my foresightedness didn't betray me" Nepgear lift her eyebrows as Arfoire said that "That conviction is all I need to hear so I can give you my powers".

"Hmph, whatever. About the chances, what was it again? I was enraged a bit as there were some complications, sorry" Nepgear apologized, she still had the same forgiveness type inside her.

"No need to say sorry, I did get to hear that strong words after all" Said Arfoire, then she started to explain the risk.

"About the risk, the level of it is extremely high. If your body ain't capable of enduring the pressure it'll explode along with all of the graveyard here. But since you have Gehaburn with you acting as a catalyst, you will have no issues in taking my powers"

"Then why the hell did you say the risk first, especially after knowing I have Gehaburn with me?!"

"I want to see your anger and will, I don't want to give my powers to those who are weak-willed. Thus I baited you, the results were more than I had expected which is perfect" Arfoire told Nepgear.

"Motherfucker…." Cursed Nepgear. "Now how do I do this?"

"Point your blade to me. My soul will exist for only a short while inside the sword and you shall attain my powers and become the new Deity of Sin".

Nepgear nodded and did what she was told to do. The Deity of Sin then touched it and transferred all of its power to Nepgear and her sword.

During the transfer, a bright dark red light can be seen across Gamindustri Graveyard when the light was as big as an explosion. After a short while, the dark red light started to change into a dark lilac light signifying that Nepgear had truly become the Deity of Sin herself.

"Now that you have become the new Deity of Sin, it is time for you to take revenge on those who have wronged you in this world. Go young one, I'll be watching inside the sword for a while so entertain me before I vanish" It was Arfoire's last words as she went inside the sword and the light started to end.

Nepgear felt more powerful than before with few changes on herself and her sword. Her lilac eyes had turned a bit darker but still bright as they were before, the same goes for her hair. Her body had grown more adult-like with E-cup boobs and her hips a little bit wider. Also, her ass got a small increase in size but not by a long shot.

For Gehaburn, the blade's outer color went from dark purple to bright-dark lilac while the inner part color turned into a dark purple color that also merged a bit with the outer lilac color. The hilt that had two almost-trapezium blocks which were connected to the center now had two of the same trapezium-shaped block on the hilt but it's pointing below with its position the opposite as the one where it points upward, making the hilt look a lot more X shaped.

Gehaburn's core that was originally blue had changed into a red color while the golden part on both below the red core and the end of the grip remains the same.

Unfortunately, her clothes remain in the same state as it was after the attack from the four armies that betrayed her. It had some cuts and holes that it was possible to see her bra and panties. But Nepgear didn't mind that at all, she was focused on her goal to fruition.

"Now, It's time for some payback" Said Nepgear as she slashed the air that opened a portal. "Chika you bitch, I'm coming to get you first"

Nepgear then walked towards the portal in front of her and then it closed itself as she went inside.

When Arfoire finished materializing herself into her normal form instead of her true form, she called out to Gehaburn on the pitch-black area.

"Show yourself Gehaburn"

Gehaburn then appeared in front of the Deity in its new form "Well hello there. I thank you for the dose of your power that you have bestowed upon us, I like my new form right now" Said Gehaburn with a happy tone.

"Yes, you look cooler and more distinctive as a cursed sword. Now then, shall we sit back and enjoy the show this child will present to us"

"For sure" Gehaburn then summoned two comfortable red puffy chairs with popcorns and drinks on each tray in front of the chairs.

"Have a seat, lady"

"Thank you" Arfoire sat on the chair and started to eat the popcorn, she stopped when she realized something else. "How are you gonna eat and drink that though?"

"I suck it like a vacuum" Gehaburn spoke while she suck the popcorn slowly.

"Convenient, suit yourself then"

The two beings then looked at the screen that displayed a lot of monsters attacking Leanbox and gruesomely killing its inhabitants.

Leanbox was set in ablaze as monsters from different kinds heeded the call from the new Deity of Sin to attack the south area. Soldiers with their weapons, mech's, and defenses that were supposed to counter all of this without any CPU help were unable to stop the onslaught and were slaughtered in the end, leaving an opening for the legion of monsters inside the city.

Nepgear oversees the havoc that's happening below her as she was floating in the air with crossed hands on her back while her right hand holding the Gehaburn pointing downwards.

Screams, blood, flames, limbs tore from each body, explosions, and crumbling buildings are all over Leanbox. She also noticed 5pb, Cave, and Tekken tried their best in protecting the people but to no avail, as they were all killed in a butchered manner.

"HAHAHAHA. Serves the three of you right for following that prick of a mascot!" Nepgear laughed at their useless struggle and choice in following Chika.

"Speaking of her…" She trailed off as she borrowed one of the gargoyle's visions that is in the air right now

"Where are you Chika?" Nepgear spoke with a menacing tone.

What she saw was Chika in front of the basilicom fighting with her soldiers while protecting the people that went inside the building behind her.

"There you are" She then instantly teleport herself and appeared in front of Chika. Nepgear then plunged Gehaburn horizontally straight to her heart.

"You…." The pain from her heart was so unbearable that she couldn't continue speaking her words. Chika then coughed a lot of blood and finally died.

"Finally, I got rid of you. If only you had talked to me instead of waging war against me you would've kept your life longer, but it's useless now" Said Nepgear to the lifeless Chika.

Nepgear was surrounded by some of the soldiers that were with Chika while the rest keep the monsters at bay. "Pathetic" As she said that, Nepgear swiftly made a giant circle wave slash that destroyed all of the soldiers, citizens, and also some of the buildings including the Basilicom on those who were inside it.

Except for the monsters that were still alive and well, because they were Nepgear's minions so they weren't affected by any of it.

"ANNIHILATE ALL THE HUMANS WHO WERE STILL LEFT ALIVE, EVEN THE CHILDREN ARE INCLUDED AS WELL!" Roared Nepgear loudly to the monsters.

From that order, all of the monsters across Gamindustri were suddenly strengthened by a mile more and began to kill the people along the way in the other three countries than Leanbox.

One hour had passed since the fall of Leanbox, Nepgear already destroyed Lowee and Lastation. Both were in a crumbled and burning state with not a single person left in it. Some of the refugees who made it out alive were making their last stand on Planeptune, the country where Nepgear used to guide until she was betrayed in the end.

Nepgear stood on top of a Forest Turtle and watched as millions of her monsters were unable to break the giant barrier that covered the whole Planeptune. From what she had analyzed, they seemed to have combined all their remaining barrier generator that was brought from Lowee, Lastation, and Leanbox into one Planeptune's barrier.

"Wow, such endurance" Nepgear praised their effort in protecting themselves from danger. 'At this rate, I won't be able to kill them all' She thought to herself.

"Stop," Nepgear said to all of the monsters, they obeyed her and stopped attacking the barrier.

"Now then…" She crouched a bit and jumped fast and high like a bullet towards the top of the giant barrier.

Before she came into contact with the barrier, she flipped Gehaburn making its flat side face the front. Nepgear swung the sword from her back hard and hit the barrier like a hammer.

The hit made the barrier crack from the top and travelled slowly then starts to go faster as the fissure goes down below. The barrier was covered with cracks all over and it finally broke then vanished into atoms.

"NOW, SLAUGHTER THEM!" Nepgear ordered again to her monsters with a loud yell that made the people who heard it were filled with fear.

All of the monsters began their strike once more now with the barrier is absent, making it easier for them to move in and start mowing down the soldiers and the people in front of them.

Nepgear balanced herself in midair and observed once more what's happening below her. Same as Leanbox, buildings crumbling and destroyed, people fighting and running but end up torn apart.

Red, MarvelousAQL, Brocolli, Falcom, Cyberconnect2, Compa, IF, Mina, and Kei shared the same fate as three makers from Leanbox, tormented to death by the monsters.

"That takes care of them" Nepgear pitied at their last fate, she then turned her head to the Neptower. "For the finale….Histoire" She floated down to the open veranda.

When Nepgear landed on it, she saw Histoire's back in front of her. She immediately slashed her back and made Histoire fall with her book still attached to her.

"Ack…Nepgear…" Histoire spoke weakly with some blood coming from her mouth. The wound that she took was deep and she only got a few moments before she is permanently dead.

"I just want to know one thing from you…" Nepgear took a deep breath and start to yell

"WHY HAVE YOU STAB ME IN THE FUCKING BACK! I trusted you Histoire, believing that you would stay by my side till the end! But no, you chose the shitty people over me!"

"I…. feared of you…I thought that you were different than the Nepgear I used to know…but I was wrong…I shouldn't have let my fear get the best of me…just like how you won't let the sword bested you.."

Histoire's body started to fade as her body was reaching its limit "I know that you could not forgive me….but can you at least forgive the rest…."

"No" Nepgear then thrust her sword onto Histoire's stomach

"I'm…..so….sorry…." Those were the last words from the little fairy before she disappeared into the air leaving her book on the ground.

Nepgear walked towards the book and picked it up with her left hand while she was looking at it.

"Traitor," After having said that, she put it inside her inventory to check its contents later on.

Nepgear slowly exits the Neptower through the veranda and looked up to the sky, its color was red instead of the usual blue sky. There is only silence in the country, no more screams, and struggles.

"That was some fine show, child"

Nepgear looked to her left side where the voice was coming from to see a transparent Arfoire in her normal form. "You're time is up?"

"Yes, I will cease to exist in a few seconds. But before I do I must congratulate you for achieving your goal this far and entertaining me at the same time".

"Yeah yeah whatever" Nepgear did not care about that and looked away to the right.

"What a child" Arfoire after having said that had finally ceased to exist as her image was no more.

'So this is the end? I got my revenge but now i feel both relief and regret' Nepgear reflected on her actions. Nepgear knew that they were all guilty, but now that she felt that she was the only one left in this world her feelings were now depressed.

"I lost it all and now I'm alone in this world…." She dropped tears from her eyes feeling sad inside.

"Hell nah, you are not alone girl"

A purple woman that looked like Arfoire but more humane suddenly appeared in front of Nepgear, It made her fell to the ground due to the jumpscare. The woman in purple wears an all variety of purple colored tight sleeved tunic, pants on her leg accompanied with a knee high boots, around her neck is a split hooded purple cape

"What the hell? Who are-" Nepgear trailed off a bit and then spoke again with a grasp as she recognize who the woman is "Gehaburn?"

"Yep, in the flesh this time, and sorry for startling you" Gehaburn apologized.

"As i was saying, you are not alone Nepgear. Don't you remember what i said last time? I'll always be by your side, forever and ever. There's also the monsters here that'll follow you no matter what"

Nepgear looked to where Gehaburn pointed at which was to her back and saw different kinds of Doggos, Vader, Aquatic, Bomb, Inorganic Ghost, Plant, Avian, Data, Machine, Dragon, Beast, and even Insect monsters all bow down towards Nepgear and Gehaburn.

"There's a saying "For everything we lose, we gain something new or better" or something like that. What i mean is that we are all here for you, so don't feel down and start anew with us"

Nepgear teared up a lot and turned to Gehaburn tor rest her head on Gehaburn's boobs, those words she heard were all true and consist not a single lie in it. It was the words that she wanted to hear the most after all the pain she had endured for such a long time.

When Nepgear finished crying, she turned again to her monsters and started to speak to them.

"Raise all of you heads" The monsters stopped bowing and they all lift their head looking at their queen.

"I thank you for all of your help, from now on we are all a family. Help me rebuild Gamindustri anew so that we all may live in happiness together!"

All of the monsters praised Nepgear after that short speech. Nepgear couldn't understand what they were all shouting as she doesn't understand their language, but from their tone she knew they are all agreed and obeyed the request.

Nepgear sighed happily and Gehaburn smiled at her.

"Let's go Gehaburn, we got a lot of things that needs to be done"

"Of course, my lady"

"Stop that, just call me Nepgear. No need to be so formal"

"I know I know, I was just teasing you there" Nepgear was annoyed at her words but didn't mind it too much.

"Oh, by the way, you are gonna need some new clothes. You look like a beggar or a prostitute doing some roleplay, hehe" Gehaburn pointed out.

"WHA-" Nepgear was shocked as she looked at her clothes, they were all so tattered that even her panties and bra were all exposed.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAA" Nepgear was really embarrased by herself with her face turning red all over. Gehaburn just laughed hard at her reaction.

Nepgear also joined the laugh with Gehaburn together as they walked towards the Neptower to begin their work in rebuilding Gamindustri.

Even though the sky was red, it shines brightly to the world that will start a new fresh direction.

Now Nepgear and Gehaburn shall move on to the next arc with new characters coming in.
