Chapter 149 Local Encounters Part 2

Marceline, Lucinda, Lance, William looked at the Mystery Shack and walked towards it. They opened the door and went inside. Wendy, Samantha, and Soos turned to stare at the newcomers.
"Welcome to the Mystery Shack." Greeted Wendy.
"Thanks." Said Lance as he and the others began to look at the attractions.
Marceline and Lucinda were slightly amused at the Mystery Shack's attractions. The two cousins had lived for over a thousand years and in that time they both encountered incredible strange things. Stranger things then any of the attractions in the Mystery Shack. William found himself looking at picture of a horse riding a horse. Samantha happened to be standing next to William starring at the same picture.
"Kind of a dumb picture don't you think? I mean it's funny and odd, but it's obviously fake." Said Samantha.
"I agree, this picture is highly illogical. A horse would lack the proper appendages to climb up and sit on another horse. Also the other horse would lack the strength to support the other horse, much less run." Said William.
"Well you make a good point. The names Samantha." Said Samantha as she turned to look at William and offer him, her hand.
"I'm William." Said William as he shook Samantha's hand.
As William shook Samantha's hand the android felt an odd spark go through his body as he looked at the girl. William quickly ran a system scan to make sure his circuits were fine after the odd shock, but everything seemed to be ok. The android was a little confused by this and Samantha saw the confusion in his eyes.
"You ok?"
"Yes I am perfectly fine. Thank you for asking." Said William.
"Well it was nice meeting you." Said Samantha with a nod as she walked away.
William watched Samantha go. The android was confused about what happened and why did it happen, when, he was around Samantha. Lance walked over to William.
"You ok man?"
"Yes I am fine, though there was a slight abnormal shock that went through my systems, when I shook hands with Samantha. I ran a system scan, but appears there's nothing wrong, which confuses me." Said William.
Lance studied William as he thought about what the android said. William may have been a machine that had been created by science, to be a fighter and destroyer, but ever since, his masters had abandoned him, the android had turned over a new leaf and began fighting alongside the heroes. Lance had seen William come to the aid of others and show signs of concern for his fellow heroes. William was showing signs of being more human like each day and his odd system shock, when he shook Samantha's hand made him believe, he knew what the android was experiencing.
"I think, you might...have just experience a sense of love and attraction." Said Lance.
"Love and attraction? That does not compute. I am a machine, I'm not supposed to have those feelings." Said William.
"Well your wont supposed to have friends or care about others, but you do now since your friends with me and the other heroes. You might be a machine William, but your mind is clearly capable of thinking and showing emotions on it's own. Maybe there's just something you find attractive about Samantha that made you trigger that system shock." Said Lance.
"Your words do have a good deal of facts behind them. I have experienced and learned much since I switched sides, but this idea of having...strong romantic feelings is unusual. Not to mention I couldn't have a serious relationship with someone like Samantha, considering the fact that I am a machine and she's a human." Said William.
"Yeah...I can see where that's a problem, however you can still show you like her and care for her. You can just be really good friends." Said Lance.
"I suppose so." Said William as he turned to look at Samantha, who was looking at another attraction.
Soos had gotten a call from Ford on his walkie talkie to come down to his lab to help him. The big man went down to the lab to help Ford. Wendy was watching Marceline and Lucinda look at some attractions, when she saw the guitars/weapons strapped to their backs.
"Are you two musicians?" Asked Wendy.
"As a matter of fact we are." Said Marceline.
"For reals?" Asked Wendy.
"For reals." Said Lucinda.
"Awesome! So what are your names and your band's name?" Said Wendy.
"Well I'm Marceline and this is my cousin Lucinda. Our band is called the Scream Queens." Said Marceline.
"Why don't we show you some of our guitar playing skills." Said Lucinda.
Marceline and Lucinda unstrapped their guitars and began playing their guitars with mad skills. Wendy, Samantha, Lance, and William, watched the cousins play with awe. It was really quit a sight.
Below in the lab, Soos was helping Ford line the crate he had helped Ford carry into the Mystery Shack with a large open cage. Both Ford and Soos were wearing reflective goggles as they lined the front of the crate with the cage. The crate was soon lined up and the two men opened it with some crowbars. As the lid fell off a creature that had traits of both a goblin and a gremlin came charging out and crashed into the cage. The creature had red eyes without pupils, a muscular body, with green skin, clumps of body hair, and a prominent lower jaw with two large fangs protruding out of it. Mushrooms coated it's shoulders, hair, and arms, and it's ears are pointed like a bat's. The beast was known as the Gremlobin. The Gremlobin let out an enraged snarl as it turned to face Ford and Soos, who had quickly closed the cage. Ford stood his ground as the Gremlobin starred at him with his red eyes. The two made eye contact and the Gremlobin tried to use his special powers that made people see their worst fear through his eyes, but instead of Ford being hitting with his worst fears, the power bounced of Ford's reflective googles and hit the Gremlobin instead. The Gremlobin saw his worst fear about him wearing glasses like, his father and let out a panicked roars it slammed itself into the back of the cage.
"Well that should subdue it for now. Thanks for the help Soos." Said Ford.
"Your welcome dude." Said Soos as he removed his goggles and headed out of the lab.
Soos exited the lab through a secret entrance behind a vending machine near the gift shop. The big man heard Marceline and Lucinda jamming and went to go check it out.
Outside the Mystery Shack, Dipper and Mabel were showing Nyx and Ying around. Mabel showed Nyx her grappling hook. Nyx was impressed and Mabel shot the grappling hook into a tree and climbed up it.
"That's neat!" Said Nyx.
Mabel climbed down to rejoin her friends. It was then that the group was joined by a blonde blonde haired girl dressed in a purple jacket with a short lavender dress, along with a periwinkle belt, black leggings, and cream colored boots.
"Hello Pines I see you made another oddball friend. Is she some kind of pirate?" Said the girl with a chuckle.
"Hello Pacifica. This is our new friend Nyx and no she is not a pirate, though she would probably be an awesome pirate." Said Mabel.
"Why are you here?" Asked Dipper.
"Oh I can pretty much go wherever I want and I decided to brighten your dull day with my presence. Now that I've done my charitable deed of the day, I'm going to go shopping and buy something incredibly expensive. Have fun with your weird friend. Nyx is a dumb name by the way." Said Pacifica with a smirk as she was fixing to turn and walk away.
Nyx decided she didn't like Pacifica, so she whispered something into Ying's ear. Ying made a small caw noise and took off into the air, until he was above Pacifica. The girl looked up just in time to see something white fall from the sky and splatter onto her right shoulder.
"AAAAAAAAA! THAT IS SO GROSS! Get it off of me!" Cried Pacifica as she ran away trying to get the bird dodo off her clothes.
"Good shot Ying." Said Nyx as Ying landed on her shoulder.
"That was awesome!" Said Dipper.
"You got her good." Said Mabel.
"It was nothing." Said Nyx with a little bow.
The little group decided to head to the Mystery Shack, where they began to hear music being played. They entered and saw Marceline and Lucinda jamming out. The children were amazed by the music and went to join the others in watching. After several more minutes both Marceline and Lucinda stopped playing the group began clapping and cheering.
"That was awesome dudes!" Cheered Soos.
"I have an ex boyfriend named Robbie who plays the guitar, but he has nothing on you two. That's was the hottest jam I've ever seen! You two are amazing!" Said Wendy.
"Who are you? Are you a famous band?" Asked Mabel.
"I'm Lucinda and this is my cousin Marceline. Our little band is the Scream Queens." Said Lucinda.
"That's an awesome name! Your both look so cool and confident." Said Mabel.
"We've had practice." Said Marceline.
The Pine twins along with Nyx and Ying introduced themselves to Marceline, Lucinda, William, and Lance. After a while, Stan came back from the tour he had given and tried to see if he could interest Marceline's group into buying anything, but after seeing that the group didn't seem like potential customers, he lost interest and went about counting the money he got from the last tour group and checking the attractions to make sure they weren't falling apart. Things got quit since it was only Marceline group, Samantha, Nyx, Ying, the twins, Stan, Soos, and Wendy in the Mystery Shack.
"Hey Stan it looks like no one else is coming today. Can I have the rest of the day off?" Asked Wendy.
"Ah fine. I guess you and Soos can have the day off. Think I'll close up early and go see what my brother is up to." Said Stan as he pocketed the money he got from the tour.
"You guys want to see the rest of the town? I know a couple of cool places to visit." Said Wendy.
"Sounds rad, were in." Said Marceline.
"Oh can we go Sammy?" Asked Nyx.
"Sure, why not." Said Samantha.
"Count me in dudes!" Cheered Soos.
"Guess will join you." Said Dipper.
The group headed out of the Mystery Shack. Stan headed to the secret entrance to Ford's lab and headed down. Ford was writing in a journal, while standing near the cage with the Gremlobin in it. Stan starred at the monster in awe, as he thought about how a genuine monster would attract customers to the Mystery Shack. Ford closed the journal and looked at his brother.
"No Stan, I'm not letting use this creature as an attraction in the Mystery Shack. I don't yet know what the Gremlobin is fully capable of yet and I don't want to endanger people, by having it used as an attrition." Said Ford.
"Oh come on Ford, what better why to understand this thing, then by having it exposed to a large crowd of people. You can see how it reacts and it'll attract a bunch of customers to the shack and run Gideon and his Tent of Telepathy out of business. Everything will be fine." Said Stan.
"Look let me study this creature for a bit, so I can come with some rules and safety precautions to make sure it doesn't escape from it's cage and incase it does will have a way to stop it. I've seen what this monster can do, when it simply gets wet with water, I don't want to be caught off guard by it being exposed to anything else that could make it stronger." Said Ford.
"Ah...fine, you can do your study thing, but I at least want to show this guy off on Halloween. It'll bring the crowds in." Said Stan.
"Very well I'll study it as fast as I can." Said Ford as he opened up his journal and began writing notes in it.
Stan let the lab to go relax.
Miles away near Lake Gravity Falls, Henry and Slippy were walking by the lake. Slippy was checking a small computer like device and scanning the lake.
"What you looking for?" Asked Henry.
"Well I'm trying to see if I can get a lead on where the command station is in this virtual world. If we find it we can find the AI that runs this system. I'm guessing Bill and whoever, he brought along with him are looking for the same thing." Said Slippy.
"What happens if they reach it first?" Asked Henry.
"Well the MCP will defend itself by launching everything it has at Bill and his forces, that could reveal that this world is a fake to the towns people and cause a bunch of panic and chaos. But if Bill manages to get control of the system everyone here is in trouble." Said Slippy.
"So the MCP knows we're here already?" Asked Henry.
"It does, but we're foreign entities. It hasn't decided yet if we're a threat. Right now it's probably just observing us to see what we're doing, trying to decide what to do about us." Said Slippy.
"So...if Bill or any of his group decided to start causing damage to the system, would the MCP consider us a threat. Even though, were not a threat." Said Henry.
"Most likely it'll consider us a threat. You have to remember the MCP has been looking after and running this program for years. We're intruders here and our presence threatens the program." Said Slippy.
"Well hopefully we can reason with it. The people can't spend the rest of their lives here in a cybernetic time loop. It's just not natural." Said Henry.
Slippy nodded in agreement and the two of them moved on, unaware of two bright yellow eyes that were watching them from the lake. The eyes were attached to a massive green scaled head that belonged to a beast called the Gobblewonker. The beast's head sank back underneath the water and it followed Henry and Slippy.
In another part of the woods, Gideon was leading Bill, Klarion, and Teekl towards some small mountains. Bill had asked Gideon if he had seen anything weird like cave drawings and symbols. Gideon had told the villains that he one time saw the inside of a cave that did have weird drawings and symbols. The boy lead the way in the direction that the chaos energy happened to be coming from. Bill was eager for what he believed he and the others would find.
As the various heroes and villains traveled, Giffany watched them. According to her scanners the intruders headings towards the mountain, we're going to enter the territory of a group of program creatures called Manotaurs. The Manotaurs were strong and hostile beings, that would attack the invaders as they entered their territory. The impending fight would give Giffany the data she needed to take a course of actions. If the Manotaurs succeeded in eliminating the intruders, then Giffany would consider the other intruders as no serious threat and perhaps she would consider assimilating them into the program. If the Manotaurs were defeated then Giffany would have no choice, but to consider them a huge threat that must be eliminated. Giffany made a note to summon her four elite security programs to her to deal with the problem and to activate the Zodiac Firewall if the intruders proved themselves to be a great threat.
"Let's us see how much of a threat you pose to me and my world. This is my world and I love all the humans in it. I will defend them no matter what. If your a threat then I will erase you from this world." Said Giffany as she watched the screens.
