Chapter 152 Trouble Rising

Bill, Klarion, Teekl, and Gideon entered a cave on the side of the mountain. Klarion conjured up a ball of fire to light the way and the villains made there way into the cave. After several minutes of walking they came to a dead end. Bill studied the wall and blasted it with an energy blast. The wall crumbled to reveal a cavern with five strange creatures drawn on the wall. The eyes of the drawings lite up and starred at the villains.
"Oh my pointy head its you guys! Teeth! Pyronica! 8 Ball! Xanthar! Paci-Fire! It's been eons since I've seen any of you. How'd you end up in this digital dump?" Said Bill.
The room was filled with whispering sounds and Bill nodded his pointy head.
"So one of the Cosmic Owl's goodie good friends placed a curse on you that reduced you to two dimensional drawings and left you on Earth. A few million years later some humans found you and were able to figure out that you were more then just drawings. Some brainy guys figured you had weird energy, so they digitize you for this world to help plan for paranormal scenarios." Said Bill.
"You going to free them?" Asked Klarion.
"You bet your chaos loving heart I'm going to free them." Said Bill as he pointed two flaming blue hands at the drawings and zapped them.
The drawings rippled and shifted and they tried to pull themselves from the wall, but something was keeping them stuck to it. A part of the wall shifted and changed into a computer screen with a keypad. Bill studied the keypad.
"Well apparently we're going to need a code to free these guys." Muttered Bill.
"Should I go get Sylvester?" Asked Klarion.
"I know a guy, who can figure this out." Said Gideon.
"Who?" Asked Bill.
"An old guy named Ford Pines, his supposed to be a super genius and good at figuring mysteries. You can probably fool him into helping you." Said Gideon.
"Ok kid tell us where we can find this Ford guy." Said Bill.
"Oh I will, but in exchange for this I need a little help with a project of my own." Said Gideon.
"Alright, will lend you a hand." Said Bill.
Gideon told Bill that Ford was most likely at the Mystery Shack. Bill used his powers to go through Gideon's memory, so he knew what Ford looked like. The triangle villain thanked Gideon and said Klarion would help, him with his project. Gideon and Klarion watched Bill flew off.
"So what exactly do you need for this project?" Asked Klarion.
"Well there's this crazy old man named McGucket, who has a knack for building robots. I need his skills to build me a special robot and I think you have the skills to help convince him it's in his best interest to help me." Said Gideon with a smile.
"Say no more." Said Klarion with a crocked smile.
The two of them and Teekl left the cave leaving the drawings alone to wait for their freedom.
In another part of the virtual world, Sylvester was riding around in his Cat Mobile and following a strange signal on his computer. The signal lead Sylvester to a mineshaft and he headed into it and entered a large underground cavern and was met by an odd sight. There were dinosaurs frozen in amber. The scientist followed his computer and it lead him past the dinosaurs and to a large rock. There was a small patches of the rock that appeared to be made out of ones and zeros that switched around every now and then.
"A glitch in the system! I might be able to use this to mess with the program and perhaps locate the MCP." Thought Sylvester as he began to hack the glitch.
The evil scientist glanced at the frozen dinosaurs and began to make plans to use them for his own purposes.
Deep within the program, Giffany stood observing her screens. Two security programs and a maintenance program stood nearby. The security programs were named Lolph and Dundgren and the maintenance program was called Blendin. There was the sound of opening doors and in marched Giffany's four elite security programs. The first was a program called Rumble McSkirmish. Rumble was made up of pixels, making him seem blurry. He had a blond mullet with a red band around his head, and was shirtless. He had tape on his forearms and wore cut indigo pants and a red belt similar to the band around his head and he had eye patch on his left eye.
Next to Rumble was a tall being called the Sumerween Trickster. The Trickster was tall, with extremely deep purple monster with twig like arms and legs. He wore a patchwork suit jacket, a yellow mask of a smiling jack-o'-lantern face with one tooth, and a shoddy brown hat.
Between Rumble and Trickster was a being called Probabilitor the Annoying. Probabilitor was a slender wizard with lavender skin with a few light purple freckles on the side of his head, a fairly long blue tinted white beard and long eyebrows, a long nose, black lips, and very large ears. His finger nails were painted black. His clothing consists of a teal cloak, a black shirt, and black pants. His skullcap was also colored black, with a circular cyan colored gem on the top.
Behind the three programs there was a massive being hovering behind them called Time Baby. Time Baby was a baby the size of a small building with a head that was larger then his body. He wore a diaper, rode in a metal crib, and had a blue hourglass symbol on his forehead.
Giffany turned to address her elite security programs.
"Thank you all for coming. I summoned you here because we have a huge problem. Several intruders from the outside world have entered the program and are threatening it. A group of these intruders is planning to unleash the beings in sector w58. We cannot allow this. The people of this world are under our protection and it is our duty to protect them. They must not know about what happened to the world. Here they are safe and are given the opportunity to never age and experience many different paths of life." Said Giffany.
"So what is the plan to combat these intruders?" Asked Rumble.
"Time Baby will take a large security force to intercept the intruder named Bill, when he returns to sector w58. The res of you will remain here for the time being. I have already set some plans into motion to eliminate the other intruders and see how much of a threat they are. I've also took the liberty to raise the Zodiac Firewall. " Said Giffany as she summoned a screen to her side.
An image of a circle appeared on the screen with several symbols surrounding it appeared. The symbols were a pair of glasses, a question mark, a open bag of ice, a crescent shaped symbol, a pine tree, a crossed five pointed star with an eye in the center, a hand with six fingers, a lama, a shooting star, and a heart with stitch in the middle. The Zodiac Firewall was the system's ultimate defense. It could only be taken down by Giffany or with the gathering of some certain people in the program. The symbols represented ten people, who had a bit of the unlock code within them and only when they were gathered in a circle could the firewall be taken down. The four elite security programs nodded their heads in agreement with Giffany's plan. Time Baby left the room to gather a security force along with Lolph, Dundgren, and Blendin. Giffany summoned a screen that showed her the Mystery Shack.
Miles away at the arcade, Marceline and her group were hanging out with Samantha, Nyx, Dipper, Mabel, Soos, and Wendy. The group was having fun just hanging out and playing games. A teenager with shaggy hair and a light black hoodie with a stitched up heart symbol on the front entered the arcade and made his way to Wendy. Wendy scowled at the newcomer.
"What do you want Robbie?" Asked Wendy.
"I came to win you back." Declared the teen.
"Robbie for the last time our relationship is over. We're just friends now." Said Wendy.
"Please take me back!" Begged Robbie.
"No you lied to me about that song you wrote and I'm not going to commit to a relationship with a dishonest neglectful person like you." Said Wendy.
Robbie just slouched in defeat and shuffled out of the arcade.
"Your ex boyfriend?" Asked Marceline.
"Yeah, I used to have a thing for him, but it just didn't work out." Said Wendy.
"I know where your coming from. I had an ex boyfriend named Ash and he was a bit of a jerk, so we broke up." Said Marceline.
"So your with Lance now?" Asked Wendy.
"Yeah I'm with Lance now. Our relationship is pretty steady and we both love each other." Said Marceline.
"Congrats on that." Said Wendy.
"I'm sure you'll find a decent guy some day." Said Marceline.
"Yeah maybe." Said Wendy.
The group continued to hangout and Dipper and Mabel revealed to their new friends that they were twins. Marceline and Lucinda revealed that their fathers were twins. William and Samantha were playing one of the arcade games together, when Samantha dropped a quarter and she reached down to grab it, only to find William reaching to grab it as well. The two of them touched hands and starred at one another. William, felt the odd shock to his system as he starred at Samantha's face. Samantha had an odd sensation in, her chest and she quickly stood up turning away from William.
"Um...I have to use the bathroom!" Said Samantha as she hurried to the bathroom and went inside.
The cyborg went up to the sink and starred at herself in the mirror as she ran a system check on her circuits and her organs. According to the scan everything was fine, though her heart was beating a little more rapidly then normal. Samantha was confused by this, until she realized what the odd feeling was. It was a feeling she hadn't felt in a real long time. A romantic attraction to another person. The cyborg starred at her reflection and a bitter smile appeared on her face as a few tears fell from her eye.
"That's just rich! The universe playing another cruel sick joke. First there's the people in this virtual world, who have no idea that their lives are fake or that the world they used to know is long gone. It's going to be crazy, when they realize that this world is fake. Then I meet a guy...who is kind of cute and I actually kind of like him, but I can't be with him in a relationship because I'm a cyborg! Man this bites!" Muttered Samantha.
It was then that Nyx and Ying came into the bathroom and saw Samantha.
"Are you ok Sammy?" Asked Nyx with concern.
"Not really. I just realized how badly Wendy and the rest of people in this world are going to be hurt. Everything they know is a lie, this world is fake and the guys we work with are going to reveal that to them and make them their slaves." Said Samantha.
"But...I don't want to see anyone get hurt. Master wouldn't do anything like...that." Said Nyx sounding a little unsure of herself.
"Doesn't your master enjoy causing chaos? Revealing that the world is fake to a bunch of people is something he would enjoy." Said Samantha.
Nyx could only nod her head in agreement with that.
"Our presence in this world is only going to bring trouble." Said Samantha.
"Is...there anything we can do for the Pines and the others?" Asked Nyx.
"Well we could try to protect them, tell them not to resist Bill and the others to make it easy on them. They might hate us, but it's the only way I think we can help them, once this world starts going crazy, but until then let's make the best of what time we have. We're just a couple of normal people having fun right now." Said Samantha.
"Ok Sammy." Said Nyx as she went over to Samantha and hugged her.
A look of surprise appeared on Samantha's face, but she smile and returned the hug. The two cleaned up and went outside to join the others.
Miles away at a junkyard, McGucket lead Henry and Slippy to a small hut made out of of a pile of metal. The three went inside of the makeshift house and found an odd assortment of gadgets, gizmos, and various junk. On one side of the wall there was a robot that resembled a Pterodactyl. McGucket pulled out a couple of battered lawn chairs for his guest and sat on an old stump.
"Welcome to my humble little home. Sorry about the mess haven't had guest ever." Said McGucket.
Slippy looked around the hut and noticed a chalkboard with the letters MCP on it. There seemed to be a long list of what the letters could stand for underneath the letters. Mushroom Cat People, Mice Catch Pizza, Machines Can Poach, Meat Carrots Potatoes, Moose Clan Police, and Mud Crab Peaches were just a few of the words that were listed.
"What's the deal with these letters?" Asked Slippy.
"Don't really know. There just in my brain, but I think there important whatever they're supposed to mean." Said McGucket.
Slippy studied the letters and then he walked over to the board. The frogman picked up a piece of chalk and began to write. The words Master Control Program appeared on the board. McGucket let out a sharp intake of breath as he stood up and went over to the board and studied it with wide eyes. Strange images began to flash through McGucket's mind about working in a lab on a big project and he got digitize into a virtual world to help maintain the program that oversaw the system, but the MCP went wild and became very controlling. McGucket had tried to stop it, but it had attacked him and damaged his mind making him forget his past.
"I...I remember! This world ain't what it seems! I used to be a scientist and I wore glasses! The Master Control Program is crazy and messed with my brain!" Yelled McGucket.
"So you know this world is a fake and its controlled by a computer program?" Asked Slippy.
"Darn tooting I know! I helped program this world and build the MCP. It was a project between me and a buddy of mine. It feels good to have my memory back." Said McGucket.
It was then that one of the walls of the hut exploded and a giant red energy hand grabbed McGucket and pulled him out of the hut. Klarion and Teekl stood outside the hut with McGucket.
"Release him!" Shouted Henry as he and Slippy ran out of the hut.
"Well. Well. It looks like a couple of heroes found their into this virtual world. Doesn't really matter since everything is going to be turned upside down. I need the old man for a little bit, so bye." Said Klarion as he teleported away with Teekl and McGucket.
"Well that ain't good." Said Slippy.
"We're going to have to contact the others, which means we're going to have to head into town." Said Henry.
"Oh boy this'll be bad, but I figure worse things are fixing to go that way, so we might as well go." Said Slippy.
The two heroes headed out of the junkyard.
Klarion, Teekl, and McGucket appeared outside a large blue tent with a five pointed star with a an eye in the center decorating the top of the tent. Gideon stood before them and grinned at McGucket.
"Hello McGucket, I see you meet my new friends. Now your probably wondering why I brought you here. Well I need you to use your talent to build me a robot that's going to help me rule this place." Said Gideon.
"Look...kid you got to listen to me. This here world of ours is fake! It's all digital and I think we've been stuck here a very long time! We need to stop the MCP and figure out a way to get to the real world." Said McGucket.
"Well I don't care what you have to say. I don't care if this world is real or not, because I'm going to be one of the people running it! Now get to work and start building me a robot!" Said Gideon.
"And if I refuse to your demands?" Asked McGucket.
Klarion shocked McGucket with red lighting making him yelp in pain. Gideon pointed at the tent and McGucket reluctantly went inside to find a lot of metal lying around, with a bunch of tools. McGucket sighed as he grabbed some tools and began to get to work.
At the Mystery Shack, Stan and Ford were down in the lab observing the Gremlobin. Ford was writing some notes, while Stan was eating some jellybeans from a bag. Every now and then Stan would toss a jellybean into the cage and the Gremlobin would pick them up and eat then. Little did the brothers know, was that a supernatural force was fixing to cause some trouble. Giffany watched the brothers from, one of her screens. The MCP pointed a hand at the screen and used her powers to manipulate some coding to make the keys to the cage appear in the cage with the Gremlobin. The Gremlobin saw the key and picked it up.
"Um...Ford the monster has the key." Said Stan looking very nervous.
"How could it have possibly gotten the key?" Asked Ford looking up baffled from his notes.
The Gremlobin used the key to unlock the cage and storm out. Stan and Ford stepped back looking fearful and uneasy at the beast. The monster roared and a panicked Stan grabbed a coffee cup to throw at the monster, unfortunately the cup had some water in it and it splashed onto the Gremlobin. The Gremlobin grew bigger with spikes and wings grew out of it's back.
"Oh that ain't good." Said Stan.
The Gremlobin charged past the brothers and out of the lab. Stan and Ford ran after it and watched as the beast smashed it's way out of the front door and took flight.
"It's getting away!" Shouted Ford.
"Don't worry, it'll probably just head into the woods." Said Stan.
The Gremlobin headed in the direction of town.
"Or it could...head towards town." Said Stan.
"We need to stop it, the kids are in town, so they're in danger!" Exclaimed Ford.
Stan nodded in agreement and he was fixing to pull out his car keys, when a strange triangle being appeared before them. Ford and Stan blinked at the strange being before them.
"Who are you?" Asked Ford.
"The names Bill Cipher and I came here to get your help Stanford Pines." Said Bill.
"What do you want and why should I help you?" Asked Ford.
"Well you see a good number of my buddies have been wrongly imprisoned and I need your help to figure out a code to free them. Do this for me and I'll tell you the secrets of the universe and reveal the truth of your reality." Said Bill as he offered Ford, his hand.
Ford didn't know what to say to this. The man cast a look to his brother for help.
"Bro the kids and the town need us. I don't know what this Bill guy is about, but my gut says don't trust him." Whispered Stan.
An annoyed look appeared in Bill's eye.
"Alright then time to simply force to to help me with a good old fashion threat."
Bill pointed a finger at Stan and blasted him with a red laser. Stan let out a horrified scream as his body turned to stone. Ford starred at his brother in shock.
"Help me or I'll turn everyone you care about into statues." Said Bill.
"Fine...I'll help you Cipher, but only if you return my brother to normal and deal with a monster that's making it's way into town." Said Ford.
"Deal. I have an associate in town, who can take care of your little monster. Now let's get to work." Said Bill as he zapped the statue of Stan.
Stan return to normal and collapsed to the ground in a dazed heap. Ford cast one last look at his brother before he reached out and shook Bill's hand. The two of them teleported away.
Back in the town, Pacifica had gotten into town and had gone looking for the Pines. She looked into the arcade and saw them hanging out with Soos, Wendy, and their new friends. Pacifica took a deep breath and looked at her reflection in the glass door.
"You can do this Pacifica. This is the right thing to do and you know it, if you don't do this you'll never be able to forgive yourself. Besides its not like the world is going to suddenly end." Said Pacifica as she headed into the arcade.
