The blue light raced towards Gravity Falls covering everything. The light washed over Gideon and his robot, as it made it's way to town. Gideon was hit my the light and a bunch of different memories of previous lives and experiences flooded his mind. In one life Gideon was a TV star, in another his family owned a chain of fancy restaurants, and another he was the son of a mayor. Each of these lives were different, but in each life he tried to earn the affection of Mabel and gain more power over Gravity Falls, only to be turned down every time and have his plans for conquest foiled. This angered and shocked Gideon, not only was the world he lived in fake, but the idea of being rejected by Mabel and failing in his goals multiply times enraged him. But this time things were going to play out differently.
"This world might be fake like that old geezer said, but I'm going to be running it. I may have failed in the past, but this time I am going to get what I WANT!" Declared Gideon as he marched his robot forward.
In another part of the virtual world, Klarion was still fighting Probabilitor and his ogres, when the blue light washed over them, but it didn't affect them. However a panicked look appeared in Probabilitor's eyes.
"Oh that is bad! That light will make people remember their past lives and that this world is fake!"
"Then the panic and chaos sets in!" Laughed Klarion.
"I need to end this quickly. Oh I know what to do!" Thought Probabilitor as he slammed his staff onto the ground.
The wind suddenly began to pickup and a tornado formed around Probabilitor picking him up along with Klarion, Teekl, and all the ogres. The tornado grew picking up trees, rocks, and Gideon's Tent of Telepathy in the process. Klarion flew through the tornado dodging ogres and derby in the process. The witch boy spotted Probabilitor in the center of the tornado and flew towards him, with his hands extended like claws sparking with red magic. Probabilitor saw Klarion coming and raised his staff up to defend himself. The wizard and the witch boy collided with one another and they began to wrestle with the staff between them. The tornado jerked around wildly and began to head towards town.
Near the edge of town, Slippy and Henry were fixing to head into the town, when they heard the sound of a zooming car. The two heroes quickly ducked behind a tree as Stan drove by. As soon as Stan was gone, they stepped out from behind the tree.
"Ok here we go. If anyone ask will just say we just came in from attending a costume party. Just make sure not to open your mouth." Said Henry.
"Got it." Said Slippy.
The two of them were fixing to head into the town, when the blue light flew past them.
"What was that?" Asked Henry.
"I don't know, but whatever it is, I have a feeling it's not good." Said Slippy.
The two of them quickly headed into town.
Stan was a few blocks down the road, when the light washed over him. The old man let out a gasp of shock as he quickly hit the breaks. Memories of past lives and experiences flooded Stan's mind, but the one that truly got his attention was a memory that happened in the real world. Over a thousand years ago Stan had shared a house in Oregon with his brother Ford and every summer Dipper and Mabel would come and spend summer break with Stan and Ford. Then one summer everything changed. Stan was watching TV, when a special news bulletin about a train bombing in California came onto the screen. This got Stan's attention, since Dipper and Mabel's parents lived in California. Stan quickly ran to the study to tell Ford what he saw on the news. Ford was a scientist back in the day working on a top secret project for the government, so he had connections to help get in touch with the FBI. A few hours later after a series of calls, Ford hung up the phone with a sad look on his face. Stan looked at his brother and he could just tell that what, his brother had found out something terrible. Dipper and Mabel's parents had been killed in the train bombing. The two men went up to the room Dipper and Mabel shared and broke the news to them. Mabel and Dipper were devastated by the news and Ford and Stan did their best to comfort the children.
As time went by there were a few more bombings and there was a threat of war between the United States and Russia. Stan and Ford grew concerned about the future and then Ford told Stan about the secret project he had been working on. The virtual world of Gravity Falls. Stan asked Ford if he could get him and the children on the list of people that were to be placed into Gravity Falls. Ford agreed saying he wanted to protect Dipper and Mabel and that it might help them forget about the loss of their parents. A few weeks later the Pines were all digitized into the world of Gravity Falls.
"Oh...man...I need to find Ford and the kids! Something is really wrong with this place and I have a gut feeling things are about to get much worse!" Said Stan to himself as he drove his car down the road searching for his family.
Ford was walking around the center of town trying to figure out what to do. His memories about creating the virtual world and the program that ran it were slowly coming back to him, but there were still some gaps of memory missing. It was then that Ford noticed an old man walking across the street who seemed to be in deep thought. Ford knew that the man's name was McGucket and he was considered the town loon, but Ford felt he knew the man from somewhere, he just couldn't figure out where. McGucket noticed Ford and he starred back at him with a curious look. It was then that the blue light came in and washed through the town and the people. A bunch of people fell to the ground grasping their heads and starring at their surroundings in shock and confusion. Ford and McGucket were hit by the light, but they both managed to remain standing. The two old man starred at one another in recognition and they headed towards one another.
"Fiddleford it's you!" Cried Ford.
"Stanford!" Cried McGucket.
The two old friends embraced each other and then separated.
"What happened to you Fiddleford?" Asked Ford as he studied McGucket.
"Well after a few years in the program, you suddenly lost your memory about being one of the creators of Gravity Falls. I knew something must have been up with the MCP, so I headed to the control station to disconnect some of her functions and fix the system, but she retaliated and zapped my mind...making me a little crazy and making me forget about the program." Said McGucket.
"Something big happened in the outside world and it made Giffany take these rash actions. Giffany also told me that some beings from the outside world have entered the system and that they seem hostile. I met one of the outsiders and he is definitely up to no good. I was told by Giffany that she plans to eliminate all the intruders from the outside world with extreme prejudice." Said Ford.
"Well I met a couple of the beings. Two of them were odd looking, but they seemed nice and another one kidnapped me and forced me to build a robot for that Gideon kid." Said McGucket.
"We need to find Dipper and Mabel. Giffany told me that they were hanging with some of the outsiders. If we're going to fix this were going to need all the help we can get." Said Ford.
McGucket nodded and the two men were fixing to head of looking for the kids, when they saw Stan driving down the road. Ford waved his brother down and he pulled over.
"Bro...I'm starting...to remember stuff about this world and our old lives before we came here." Said Stan looking concerned.
"I know Stan. Everyone is starting to remember and chaos is going to breakout soon. We need to find the kids and then we can focus on fixing things." Said Ford.
"Alright hop in. I think I know where to look first." Said Stan.
Ford and McGucket hopped into the car and it took off down the street as people stumbled around.
At the arcade there was an awkward silence. Dipper and Pacifica were starring at one another with mixed feelings. Pacifica felt a mixture of joy and relief about telling about why she had been acting the way she did and for telling Dipper his she felt about him. If her father were to randomly appear and just disown, her she wouldn't really care. She wasn't going to be some pampered doll that did as she was told, she was free now. Dipper was a bit confused about how he felt about Pacifica. In the beginning, he disliked her for her snobby attitude and the way she treated others, but after the Mansion incident and from what Pacifica had just told him about the way her father had been treating her, Dipper knew that wasn't completely at fault for her actions and that deep down she was a good person, who simply wanted to be loved. The kiss had been a bit unexpected, but Dipper had enjoyed it. Now Dipper was trying to figure out a way to best help Pacifica. The boy glanced at Wendy for a moment and thought about the crush, he had on the teenager. Dipper felt a bit torn between the girl he had a crush on and the girl, he was now developing feelings for.
Nyx glanced at Dipper and Pacifica and let out a sigh. The little witch, had began to have a crush on the boy, but now it seemed he had a girlfriend.
It was at that moment that the blue light came in and washed over everybody. Dipper, Mabel, Wendy, Soos, and all the other people who were in the arcade fell to their knees grasping their heads and shouting in pain. The only ones that weren't affected by the light, were Marceline, Lucinda, Lance, William, Nyx, Ying, Samantha, and the disguised gnomes. Marceline bent down on one knee to comfort Mabel, as the rest of her group starred at Nyx, Ying, and Samantha in confusion. Nyx, Ying, and Samantha starred back at the others equally confused. Whatever the light was it had an affect on the people of Gravity Falls, but not on Marceline's group or Samantha's group. It slowly began to dawn on the two groups that they both came from the outside world.
"My...parents...!" Sobbed Mabel.
"Mabel, when was the last time you talked to your parents? What did you talk about?" Asked Marceline.
"I- I don't know...sending us to Gravity Falls I guess?" Said Mabel looking confused and uncomfortable.
Marceline exchanged a look of concern with Lucinda, before she began speaking again.
"Okay...Why did you have to come here? Why did your parents suddenly send you here? What are they doing in the meantime?"
"I...I don't...know..." Said Mabel as she grasped her head.
"Mabel...what are their names?" Asked Marceline.
Mabel's eye's widen as a trickle of blood comes down her nose...and she screamed in dismay as she began to remember that fatefully day, where Stan and Ford had come into the room she and Dipper shared, when they stayed with them for the summer. Stan and Ford had told the children about the train bombing and their parents deaths. Mabel had cried, while Dipper had silently starred at the floor with tears in his eyes. It had been a rough time and then Ford had gotten Stan and the children digitize into the virtual world of Gravity Falls to protect them from the growing troubles between the United States and Russia and to help them forget the pain of their loss. Now that peace was shattered. Dipper went over to Mabel and hugged her. Mabel hugged Dipper back.
While that was going on Wendy and Pacifica were remembering past experiences and times where Dipper had saved them and dated them.
Wendy was having a painful flashback. Pain! So much pain! Fire and noise too! Wendy...Wendy couldn't feel her legs! A monstrous creature known as...a Wendigo came at her with a knife clutched in it's claws stabbing down at Wendy intending to kill her! BLOOD! So much blood!...but not hers?...No...it was Dipper's own blood pouring from his body as he stood in front of Wendy with the knife stabbed into him! Dipper...had taken the knife for her! He was dying!
"W-wendy...I love you." Gasped Dipper before he fell to the ground taking the knife with him.
Wendy screamed! She screamed louder then she ever had, with great emotionally pain and rage as leaped onto the creature and squeezed it's eyes until they burst!
Everything went black and changed as new memories appeared. It was a calm night... on top of the roof of the Mystery Shack...Wendy was enjoying the fudgesicle...and Dipper was singing.
"I love you too much...to live without you loving me bac." Sang Dipper.
Wendy recognized the song as"I love you too much" by 'Diego Luna & Gustavo Santaolalla'. As Wendy listened to the song, she realized she couldn't stand keeping her feelings for the boy contained any longer! Nuts to the age gap! She loved him! And so under the moonlight...they kissed.
Pacifica was having a similar set of flashbacks. Panic! Fear! Pain! Pacifica ran through the corn fields...what's that noise!? The figure of a HEADLESS HORSEMAN! Appeared and it raced towards her! He was going to get her! She was going to die! She didn't want to die! She never told Dipper how she felt about him. The Horseman got closer, when something hit him and he burst into flames along with the cornfield! FIRE! THE FIELD WAS ON FIRE!? The Horseman burned and screeched in agony! Someone grabbed her hand, as a familiar voice yells for her to run. The instant Pacifica heard the voice...all fear left her...she knew she would be safe. Pacifica did not resist at all when Dipper Pines pulled her away from the enraged horseman...to safety...to his warm embrace...
Things went dark and a new set of memories played out in Pacifica's mind Tears! Pain! Her father just hurt her again...called her worthless...and she believed him...Pacifica rested her head on the lap of the one man she could trust Dipper Pines. Dipper calmly caressed her hair...and sang a little song.
"I can see tears filling your eyes. And I know where they're coming from. They're coming from a heart that's broken in two"
Pacifica recognized the song as "Fingerprints Of God" by 'STEVEN CURTIS CHAPMAN'. Dipper continued to sing and Pacifica smiled...he...thought she was a masterpiece? He thought she was worth something?...if he thought this...who cares what anyone else thought...Pacifica looked up to the man she'd learned to love more than anything, a man that showed her compassion...and then she kisses him.
"Thank you." She whispered.
The memories stopped flowing for both Wendy and Pacifica. The two women starred at Dipper with affection and then they noticed each other's looks and they glared daggers at one another.
While that was going on William, Lance, and Lucinda were spread out and approaching Nyx, Ying, and Samantha.
"We figure your from the outside world, since you weren't affected by that light, like the rest of us. Since your not with us, you must be with the enemy then." Said Lucinda.
"Well you got us figured out, so I'm guessing your with the enemy of our bosses. It's kind of...shame. I actually like you guys, your pretty cool." Said Samantha.
"Why are you here?" Asked Lance.
"We're just here to take in the sights and observe the people. We have no intention to harm anyone." Said Samantha.
"But I bet Bill and the others that came, have intentions to harm the people of this world." Said William.
"Well your smart and handsome. I haven't known Bill very long, but he seems like the kind of guy who enjoys hurting others. His very powerful and I suggest you don't fight him." Said Samantha.
"Master Klarion is also here." Said Nyx.
"Well that's just lovely. Guess will deal with him and Bill, after we deal with you three." Said Lucinda.
"Oh easiest said then done. Look I really don't want to fight, but if you attack me, then I'm going to defend myself and show you how truly strong I am." Said Samantha.
As the three heroes prepared to charge in, one of the arcade walls exploded and in stormed the Gremlobin. The beast had been called to the place to wreck havoc and that's what attended to do.
In the command station, Giffany watched several screens that showed her the panicking people and the various approaching threats to the town. One screen showed a tornado, another showed Bill and his friends flying towards town, and one screen showed Sylvester flying in his Cat Mobile with an army of mind controlled dinosaurs behind him.
"I must eliminate all these threats and then I can work on regaining order. I need to make the people forget and erase their memories." Said Giffany as she began to summon all her security programs.
A big digital battle was soon to take place.
To be continued.
